Great food, wait staff, and atmosphere. We love the escargot, oyster soup (although it's not always on the menu), and the fried green tomatoes with brie. You can't go wrong with any of the seafood dishes. My sweet tooth wishes there were more dessert options, but that's my only complaint. This is not a restaurant for kids, so save it for an occasion when you can leave them at home, or with a babysitter, if you're visiting from out of town. read more

We will NOT be back! We used to love Cuvee but its not the same! Drove all the way out here from Destin to enjoy a nice meal only to have the worst experience. Our service was horrible we ordered drinks and food and didn't see our server for 45 minutes until only two of our parties food came out the other food didn't show up until 30 minutes later. The server finally came by and apologized said there was a problem with the new system but everyone else around with different servers received their meals. The manager was unsympathetic and Chef Tim was even there and didn't care about concerns. We will never return. read more

This was our first visit to Cuvee 30A so we weren't sure what to expect. Upon arrival we were brought through a crowded dining room to a back room that looked like a closet, it was a box with about 6 tables with floor to ceiling curtains which made it very dark. We asked if we could open the curtains and were told Chef does not allow the curtains opened, they were literally clipped shut. One of the doors was a fire exit so I can't believe this would be to code. On to the food, we ordered fried green tomatoes to start, they were good but cold. We all ordered a salad and an appetizer portion entrée. All the food came at the same time. The manager quickly came to the table to apologize but didn't offer much solution, just asked what could he do, we said just take something off the bill. Instead he brought us a desert tray which none of us wanted. The salads were fine but the entrees were all cold and tasteless by the time we ate them. We had a beet salad, Cesar salad and BLT salad. These were good but my BLT salad was just tomatoes and cheese, which I like but where was the "L". Entrees we had the 2-scallops and something else I can't remember. All the entrees were just OK, I wouldn't order them again. After dinner we thought we would check out the bar to see if the experience there would be any better. My friend ordered Prosecco, she mispronounced it but you obviously knew what she was trying to say. The bartender said I never heard of that, I pronounced it correctly and he said OH. RUDE! 2 of us ordered expresso martini, they were watered down and tasteless. Overall I would say this place is overrated and overpriced. If you do give it a chance be sure to ask to sit outside or in the bar so you don't get stuck in the closet read more

Well Cuvée 30A is very hard to rate-- so let me start with the positive. The food-- which after all is the main attraction of any restaurant! The food at Cuvée 30A is sublime. By far and away the best we've had in years on 30a! Inventive delicious yet not overdone. We started with the fried green tomatoes, Brie and crawfish tails-this was taking NOLA cuisine to new heights. A well known critic once said if you want to really test a chef try his roast chicken- so I did. I have never had skin so crispy meat so moist and flavorful-- truly a masterpiece! The quail starter and tuna entree were equally wonderful. Thus the food without a doubt gets 5 stars!!! Why then did this review end up with only 3 stars you might ask? The service of course! It barely merited 2 stars. We had a reservation and were seated right away by a very friendly hostess -- and then sat, and waited and waited. After 20 minutes a waiter stopped by and asked us if we wanted sparkling or flat water and we waited. Finally a full half hour after being seated another waiter appeared to take our drink order and seemed surprised when we asked to see the menu. The evening continued like this -- olive oil was artfully poured for dipping bread, that other tables were served, but not hours- and it was a full 1 hour and 45 minutes before we were served our entrees. My husband ordered a glass of wine to go with his appetizer it arrived with his entree and the wine he wanted with his entree arrived with dessert. To make matters worse the table next to us tried to pay with a gift certificate that the women had been given by her new employer Sotheby's whose real estate office is above the restaurant . The very friendly hostess to us refused to accept it-- and made a huge scene about it. It was terribly unprofessional and made our dining experience very uncomfortable. Even if the gift certificate was not valid, ( which I doubt) Cuvee30A would have been far better off taking it graciously. I'm sure the number of customers they lost last night due to that scene, many of us Rosemary, Seacrest and Alys beach homeowners cost them far more than the value of the certificate. To say nothing of the loss of potential business by angering one if not all Sotheby's agents! Mistake, big mistake! Our waiter to be fair did by the end sense that our experience had been less than stellar and comped our dessert--so they ended up with 3 stars! Excellent service. The staff is friendly, attentive and knowledgeable. Great wine list. They are definitely not shy on their pour for a cocktail which is nice. The food has been excellent all three times we've been. I've had a business dinner there, a small group of family and a night at a bar table with drinks and appetizers with just my wife and me. It was comfortable for all three occasions. The food quality is is excellent. I agree with another reviewer - the appetizers, while good, are a bit small. This is an expensive meal, especially with drinks. But for a nice atmosphere and a break from typical dining in the area, it is worth it. This will be one of my regular stops when visiting. read more

Amazing food and service! We took our twin 5 year olds who split the pork chop and loved it! The restaurant was so accommodating to split the entree for us. Although there are some positives, there are Many more negatives. Also Beware of PLANTED positive reviews. This is a common practice for new restaurants to use Yelp, Google, Open Table, etc to Plant positive reviews. I am sure there have been a few good experiences but I would hazard a guess that 50-75% of 4&5 star reviews are fake. Also, Note that ownership and management have not commented or replied to any of the reviews. To me that means they are either oblivious or honestly don't care. Either is disturbing for such a high profile opening. Also I would note this is a new restaurant and restaurants of this class take some time to get balanced so I will give it another chance in a couple months. But it's concerning how unbalance it is even at this point. Now to my review. The positives: The decor and ambience are excellent. The menu is creative but execution is underwhelming to this point. Our waiter was pretty good. The issues didn't seem to be the waiters doing for the most part. The negatives: There is no flow to this restaurant. We had a reservation but there seemed to be some confusion. Not sure why but we were early because wanted to grab a drink in the bar. The bar was very nice looking but the service was Horrendous. Was in disarray and the drinks we ordered were merely ok! A successful bartender and bar staff need to "Tend the bar" (it's in the name) and create a welcoming atmosphere. They did not. Hard to tell if it's inexperience or arrogance. I hope it's the former. Once we sat for dinner it just became very very slow. I am from New Orleans and we love long meals but in those cases the patron helps to control the pace. In this case it was just Waiting......waiting for order, waiting for drinks....waiting for food....waiting for clearing. Again there was no balance in the wait staff, the bar and the kitchen. Waiter was apologetic but shouldn't be this bad even as a new restaurant. Again the food on the menu sounded creative but what was placed in front of us was lackluster. And because of that the prices are fairly extreme for the quality we received. I have no issue paying $15-20 for soups or appetizers and $40++ for entrees but it needs to meet that level of quality. Frankly it did not. I know this is a Tim Creehan restaurant but I would be embarrassed to have my name on the restaurant in its current state. I don't know if he is even involved in the place or just a PR move with his name on it. In Short it was a Poor experience and I would be embarrassed if I was a part of this restaurant. It is still very new but they should be further along at this point. I do understand it can take time so as I said I will try again in a couple months. But I can't help but wonder that if they don't shape up quickly they may not be open in a couple months. read more

We wound up splitting the 24oz ribeye and it cooked perfectly. We added the corn and cheese grits along with the fries. Topped it off with some red wine and we were set. Why anyone would pay those prices can only be explained by having more money then brains. Very good food. Great interior design. The happy hour drink and dinner menu cannot be beat. The only reason I cannot give them 5 stars is the live music. Turned away - Went without a reservation, as I have done previously. This time I had a another couple with me on Saturday Dec 7, at about 1800. we were turned away with the comment that they were all booked/reserved. Visually that was not true there were only 3-4 people on the place. We went across the street to another establishment had dinner and came back. To our surprise more than an hour later there were only about 5 people there. For a place that had every seat/table reserved, there was no one there. Obviously there was something else that got us turned away. Apparently we didn't look wealthy enough or maybe the person at the counter didn't know what was going on - who knows? In any case it was very disappointing to be turned away when the evidence, visual proof by four people, more than an hour later showed that there were a lot of tables available and the service could have been provided. Culvee 30A should train it staff so they understand capacity and flow of their processes. Rich read more

We went here for a nice dinner while on vacation. The service was probably the worst service I've had in a quality type restaurant. You are paying higher end a la carte prices but we got giblets instead. They came by and gave us one small slice of bread each. My soup, the gumbo, was so overwhelmingly peppery that I could not eat it. I took one sip and thought it was just me. Had my wife try it and she said the same. Burned our throats and couldn't taste the actual gumbo flavor. The food came out approximately an hour after sitting down. I ordered the venison and it was a little over cooked. It was also missing the onions. Other family had sides that were wrong or late. I ordered the venison medium rare but it came out closer to medium well. Really brought out the gaminess of it. My brother had the bone in filet and he said it was good. Our server, in my opinion, appeared to be either recovering from an all night drinking fest or was having withdrawals from his drug of choice. His hands shook so bad I thought he was going to spill water every time he poured. He really focused in on refilling water glasses and less on actually taking care of us. He never even offered to replace my soup after I told him I couldn't eat it. Had our service been better I would have given it 3 or 4 stars. After eating here, it is unlikely I will ever go back. read more

Love the bar area. Drink specials are good, atmosphere fun whether watching a game or having a romantic pre dinner conversation. Dinner area was really nice and we sat up front. Server had passion for the food and had worked their a long time. Bone in filet was perfectly cooked. Grouper was well cooked too. Overall would highly recommend for a group along with just a romantic evening. Saw young families eating there as well. read more

The food was good but the service from start to finish was vey disappointing. We made reservations and had 2 confirmation texts as well as a voice mail and the hostess was rude and condescending when we checked in and she said she couldn't find our name on their list. She ended up seatting us in the bar. Our server wasted a lot of time with his "schtick" - making the same jokes over and over and constantly interrupting our conversation. Midway through the meal he spilled a significant amount wine on one of us and didn't offer to comp the wine. However it was so awkward - multiple staff people came over and offered to pay the dry-cleaning bill if only we would get a receipt and MAIL it back to them and then they would MAIL us a check. We ended up insisting that they just comp our wine but it was as if they hadn't considered it. During the wine crisis, while multiple people were addressing the dry-cleaning bill, we had to ask several times for more napkins and a replacement glass of wine. The basics weren't even covered. Speaking of wine, to be a wine bar the selection was limited. There may have been a full wine list in the dining room but since we were seated in the bar we seemed to be limited to the by-the-glass menu which on the Red list had 2 blends out of approximately 6 options. Not really remarkable. The food was good - we defiantly loved the Scollops and the Fried Green Tomatoes. We ordered the grouper sliders and the crab spring rolls - which, while tasty, were also unremarkable. The flatbreads were good and we would have ordered again. All I can say is that I hope they get it together. We went 2 weeks after they opened and it was a nightmare. We had a reservation, but yet they had no table set aside and asked if we were willing to sit outside. Then our waiter had no clue what was going on and was a great imitation of Jeff Spicoli. He couldn't even tell us what domestic beers they had. It has a great layout and would be a great spot for happy hour or a good cocktail. Unfortunately the main course took almost 2 hours and the GM spent her night apologizing to every table. Will give it another shot so we will see. read more

fantastic food. excellent all around service. 4 stars for the wine list, which was heavy on heavy california reds (even cults like scarecrow et al) and had some limited french selection (incl. a DRC for a reasonable $1400/btl).. but 15 total white wines! no premier or grand cru white burgundy, but a nice chablis, and only basically california whites to work with. if you are into wine, and want a white, recommend byo (at $25 corkage not a bad choice)... and the food is worth it. Just was hoping for more of a diverse wine selection given the name of the restaurant. read more

I went to Cuvee 30A with my family for my dad's birthday and we were all definitely underwhelmed. Service was slow, but not terrible. I ordered the crab, and it was not good- it didn't taste fresh at all. The rest of my family was happy with their orders, but nothing was extraordinary, and the prices are high for the portions you get. I don't normally leave reviews, but this is what made me very upset: we were given the dessert menu, and when the time came to order, the waiter asked my dad what looked especially good, so he told her. We ended up ordering a different dessert to share amongst ourselves, and were surprised and delighted when, in addition to the dessert we had ordered, our waiter brought out the dessert my dad had mentioned with happy birthday written in chocolate across the plate. We thanked her profusely and enjoyed the desserts. We got the check, were dismayed by the total, but we were all tired so we paid quickly and left. As we were walking home, I was able to look more thoroughly at the receipt and saw that they had charged us ten dollars for the birthday dessert that we didn't order and that we were led to believe was complimentary. Don't waste your time and money here, there are plenty of other good places to go in the area! read more

The service was terrible. we had to wait 15 minutes to even get our menus and then another half hour for bread. They should not be charging 6 dollars for a half ass portion and terrible "house made" ketchup. Our server had well-intentions to keep us satisfied and she was a very good person to talk to. However, I personally think she needs more training in satisfying more than one table. Definitely should lower the prices for the sides. read more

Oh my god, before today I thought my chances of having a decent meal down here for were nil. We randomly dropped in on Cuvée where for an hour we felt like we were back home in an actual city with real culinary options. Technically, the flavor profile for this place tends to lean a little towards umami, leaning heavily on flavors of char, truffle, garlic... really enjoyed our steak and salads, the appetizers were perfect and the wine list was expansive and satisfying. The espresso was whatever though. Great experience overall, there are very few fine dining options in the area so definitely stop here before you end up compromising on some chain bullshit. Cuvée 30A yay? NOPE. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY. The only good thing I can say about this restaurant is that the bar staff is very nice and apologetic. Sadly this is probably because they have to be on a regular basis. We had problems with this restaurant from beginning to end and by the time we left, you couldn't pay us to go back. (1) Reservation: We made a reservation for 2 through OpenTable for 8:15 - it showed openings all evening. We arrived at 8:05 and were told there was no availability so we should wait in the bar and the hostess would come get us. 40 minutes later we still had not been seated after seeing another party of two welcomed right behind us. When we went to the hostess stand it wasn't even the same hostess! They had changed shifts and we were left at the bar even with a reservation! We were told they would clean up a spot (because apparently there were empty tables after all) but by the time the hostess came to get us for a table we had already ordered food at the bar. AND, to make matters worse, the hostess then CANCELED our OpenTable reservation as if we didn't show up which meant I could not earn any dining points for the visit even though we were there and spent nearly $200 on the worst dining experience I've had in this area! TERRIBLE. (2) Food: We ordered soup and salad, two entrees and a side. The food came out all at the same time. No bread was offered before the meal. And the food was EXTREMELY overpriced. $38 for a filet by itself on a cool plate and when we asked for steak sauce we were told they had none. Sweet potato side was simply a whipped potato, no added flavoring. The snapper was over seasoned to the point that I could not even taste the fish or the grits underneath. The tomato and shrimp soup came with two tiny shrimp in the bottom of the bowl. After being hungry on arrival, waiting over an hour for food, this was just adding insult to injury. (3) Bill: It took forever to pay. Apparently their internet went down right after running my card. They had to go back to a managers office to keep trying. After another 30 minutes we finally got the bill. We were offered free shots while we waited (or free dessert) but honestly neither make up for our experience - that costs the establishment nothing in the end. We couldn't even get the dessert as had made plans earlier to go get chocolate fondue after our meal. Sadly, our entire evening was ruined by our time at Cuvée 30A - we hadn't expected to spend over 2 hours eating on a bar stool. By the time we left still hungry it was too late to go anywhere else or enjoy any of our other plans for the evening. There are many wonderful restaurants in this area where even if you pay a high price, you get value and great food in return. Go to Edward's, Paradis, Cowgirl Kitchen. Go anywhere but Cuvée 30A. read more

Great atmosphere wine and cocktails. I wish I would've had dinner here. I came with a group that wanted the happy hour. Tomato shrimp soup was delicious, but bbq chicken flatbread that I ordered spicy came out sweet. When I told my waiter he told me he rang it in spicy and brought out a cup of spicy sauce. I was not happy with the way it was handled. My bill was not discounted and the flatbread was not remade. Other than that the waiter was an excellent server so I would give this place another try. read more

Extremely expensive for what you get. We went as a family of four and the service was good but the pricing for the food was ridiculous. We ordered two steaks that were $40 each and ordered two sides that were $4.25 each. The sides were so small that we could not share them and my daughter commented that the green beans were of a lower quality that she received in her high school cafeteria. My wife received a side of cauliflower that was so small that not only could she not share share it with others but she said it was drenched in butter it did not taste all that good. We made a mistake and coming here and will not be returning. read more

Food was great but management rushed us out because there was another table of 5 with reservation. Evidently there practice is to allot an hour to hour an half to enjoy a $750 meal tab for a table of 5. Never have experienced a restaurant that management made you feel like you had to rush through a meal because a reservation was waiting. When confronted with their management style they had no excuse, other than they had no complaints similar to ours. Did not apologize nor offer any thing to appease us for this. Individually I spent close to $300 on a meal for two and this was the treatment received. No apologies. Will not go back here. Management does not care? Maybe upper management will reach out but on site management were clueless. read more
