We went there for Happy Hour this past Saturday night. I was not planning on visiting here because of it's 3.6 yelp rating, but my realtor recommended it, so we decided to give it a try. Wow! So glad we did. We started with soups and fried green tomatoes. I had the duck and sausage gumbo of the day which was amazing. Some had the French onion which they loved and the fried green tomatoes were awesome. They were topped with crawfish in a spicy sauce. Then we shared the duck flatbread pizza. OMG - just fabulous. Then we all ordered entrees: Seared Tuna, lobster roll, burger sliders and grouper sliders. All were FANTASTIC. The rolls on the sliders were so fresh and soft and just a bit sweet. They were just exceptional. Plus the fries are cooked in beef tallow - they are money. I wanted to try the dessert sampler, but everyone was too full. I would go back here in a heartbeat. read more

The bread service is laughable. It's one roll cut into small bite for each person at the table. It's a great little roll but it's the first impression. Our table laughed about it all night. The service was great at first, waiter was sociable, almost too much as we were trying to enjoy our own company and dinner. It became obtrusive after this 3rd time of continuous personal convo. Filet was great, peppercorn sauce was not worth $7.00 from a portion standpoint. Came in a 1oz dish. Mashed potatoes were good, fries were fine. Guest with tuna enjoyed it, pasta was also a hit. Ala Carte sides but not big enough to share. The only reason we did not get dessert as we knew it would be high price and unsharable or small due to perception of other courses. The dessert was magnificent! I'd highly recommend the sampler dessert plate. They didn't have prime rib the night we went, which was disappointing because it's kind of the reason we went. In the past, it's been really good. I ordered the gumbo--it was super salty. The waitress kept referring to "Chef this" and "Chef that." When I told her the uneaten dish was way too salty, she stated that Chef is from Louisiana and has his own recipes. ZERO EFFORT TO FIX THE PROBLEM. I didn't know what to do with that. My husband and son attempted to eat it but declined--it was too salty. Having lived in Louisiana for a few years ... This was nobody's recipe. Solid experience here. Classic steakhouse type feel with similar menu items you would expect. Solid service. Easy seating. Bar has a solid happy hour menu if you sit in that area. We enjoyed our food and drinks the only complaint is there isn't really a kids menu or kid items - our guy recommended steak frites for our 5 year old - we assumed it was like a kid portion - nope he got a $60 steak and fries which he ate only a few bites of. Not the ideal rec but lesson learned if we were to come back we would split something with him rather. read more

We came here for dinner and specifically tried to make it in time for happy hour. It was a Monday night and without a reservation, we were able to get in around 6:30pm. Happy hour is from 4-7 and they have designated seating for it, so you must get that seating to take advantage of the happy hour. Parking was easy in this busy shopping senter and I think I got lucky with a close spot. We were seated on the heated and covered outdoor patio. It was pleasant and the place had lots of energy. We started with the escargot, and when it came out, it did not have any snails in it, just the juice so we had to send it back. For my entree, I got the steak frites, which as the menu states, is a petite filet, about 4 ounces I would say. The steak was good, the sauce was a bit light, and the frites were great! We had a great experience at Cuvee 30A. I had the Rigatoni with Maine Lobster. It was rich, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. My husband had the grilled salmon since they were out of the short ribs. He liked it but he felt the portion was a bit small. For drinks, I had the Pear Flower Martini (light and refreshing), and he had a Negroni. Both were excellent drinks. We ended the night with the Valrhona chocolate crêpes and the Cœur de Lion dessert--both were incredible and delicious! The restaurant was busy, so service was a little slow, but our server was great and kept things moving as best she could. The vibe was upscale yet relaxed--perfect for a date night. Little bit of a hiccup at the start as we thought we were doing the chefs tasting but it ended up being fine. It was my birthday and we celebrated here, our server was friendly and professional. Food was good, not the best but quite good considering food in the area is hit or miss, their food is definitely on the higher end and more tasty than many we have tried locally. My steak was very tasty and my husband said his pasta was good. Burrata and spinach salad, not worth it. Is it the best meal I've had? No, but it was a solid 4 star for dinner and service. A premier dining experience. Joined friends here for dinner one evening while on spring break and enjoyed an evening of splendid company and a dinner to match. Started with well-crafted cocktails and enjoyed some quality wine with the meal. All of the dishes were perfectly prepared. The short rib was falling-off-the-bone tender and beautifully flavored. Steaks were cooked to perfection. And the desserts...well, full as we all were from the meal, we were far from disappointed to have found some room for those! Atmosphere is classy but with a relaxed enough feel befitting of its near-the-beach locale (so, throwing on a shirt with a collar isn't a bad idea, but nice shorts are perfectly fine attire, no need to get decked out, unless of course you want to!). Experience - Totally not worth your money. Made a reservation, but got seated at a high traffic corner at the bar area near the exit and not dining area. Service mediocre - waitor was not very pleasant and very robotic in tone. Although, he was attentive with refilling our water. He stood there and waited to get my plate from the table as I was finishing my last bite. Rude! I rarely tipped below 20% even if the food was bad or the waitor appears inexperienced. I ordered the grapefruit mocktail but made it alcoholic and recommend that pairing. I called to make a reservation for happy hour dining, as I saw reviews that said it was a great deal for good food. I spoke to Jack to reserve-he couldn't have been kinder & explained all about the restaurant and location, menu, etc. We dined outside, the weather was great. Jacob was our server & he was excellent. Attentive and friendly. I had the lobster roll, and scallops, my husband had the wagyu burger and we shared carpaccio on the regular dinner menu. All of our food was excellent. And we were impressed with their food quality-homemade ketchup (I don't usually love ketchup, but theirs was delicious), and NO SEED OILS, they use butter and beef tallow. That's such a huge plus for me and my husband. We will definitely return when we're in the area again. read more

We asked the server for our bill and when he inquired about dessert we told him that we did not want dessert. He brought the bill and while speaking and thanking the server I gave him a $100 bill as a gesture of personal gratitude. We informed him and jokingly mentioned we were celebrating a 50th birthday but did not want to make a big deal out of it. He grabbed the bill before I could put my credit card down and left. He came back with a dessert and sparkler. We ate a small amount (we aren't dessert eaters), he then brought the bill a second time. To my dismay he charged us for the dessert, which we never asked for. I've been in the business for many years and also went to Hotel Management school in Europe. The server did a very poor job in representing the restaurant. We will never come back. Juts an FYI I still left a $90 tip on a $488 tab. So he walked away with $180 tip and lost a very generous customer. read more

I'm a tourist and was in town for work. Me and my coworkers found this restaurant on yelp and gave it a try. At first, we were a little confused because when we walked in, we stood at the front for like 10 minutes with no one helping us and thought that they had just opened because it was super quiet and had to wait a while before someone even came and checked why we were there. However once we sat down and got to our server, Nikki, our experience change completely for the better. Nikki was hands-down the best server and she did an amazing job of not only giving us recommendations, but telling us about the food from her personal experience. I had even made a comment like you've been here for so long you seem so knowledgeable and she said actually I'm new and it was a shock to me that she was so new giving that much information. We had an amazing time. The food kept flowing. The drinks kept coming. I will say the only feedback I have for the food is at there was a lot of black pepper taste on quite a few of the items the steak bites. It just wasn't as good and didn't match the menu like the rest of the items and there were a few other things I just had too much pepper on it, and it was kind of overpowering with some of the other flavors from the happy hour menu. There was never a wait with anything that we were ordering and overall we had an amazing experience. Thanks to her even when we tried to switch tables because we were a little chilly and she tried to accommodate us, even though she couldn't. We still thought that she was the best server and she absolutely made our experience. All of the compliments to Nikki and this five star review is really for her and her excellent job in making us California girls feel like true 30A residents and we will definitely be back and specifically will be asking for her every time we come there. read more

We took a chance on Cuvee and were SO pleased, from beginning to end! It's in a cute location. We sat outside and were able to hear live music. Our waitress was phenomenal. Beverages: They made my dirty (filthy) martini just right with blue cheese stuffed olives (little flavor bombs!) The Manhattan was also pretty good. Appetizers: The crispy oysters were delicious. Crispy on the outside, and the oyster bursts open when you take a bite. The mixture of flavors and textures just worked! They provided a yummy ciabatta bread by request. Entrees: I'd recommend the lobster rigatoni. Full of flavor, nice chunks of lobster, al dente, and the perfect portion. The steak filet was also a great choice. We added a little salt, but that was personal preference. Dessert: You must order the key lime cheesecake. I'm not even a huge sweets person and I couldn't get enough! Go for happy hour but, don't get the Spinach lasagna. It's the size of a medium size pasta shell with a bit of ricotta cheese and barely any chopped spinach. It's bland with an over cooked hard top and dried out sprinkle of shredded Parmesan cheese as if, it were under lights or a grill to reheat it way too long. There is about 1oz of bolognese sauce with a diet size portion of ground meat surrounding it which, made it swallowable. The confusion is in the price which, is bigger than this "Spanish tapas" attempt of an old classic Italian staple. I was looking for a place to have my birthday dinner while in the area in December. They have a pretty limited selection menu and since my husband is vegan I emailed the restaurant from their website to inquire about vegan options. I got a response from the owner and Chef Tim himself explaining how they love vegans and have many way to alter their dishes. Reservation booked and excited. We arrived on my birthday to have dinner and the atmosphere is very laid back and great decor. The server greeted us and I mentioned the vegan options and she said she would check with Chef and get back to us. She came back and offered the french onion soup (made with beef stock and cheese, a delicious salad (all have cheese and cream based dressing and some have meat) and their amazing side dishes (most are sauteed veggies assuming in butter). She also offered a vegetable pasta. When inquired about all the cheese and dairy in those options her response was oh i guess he cant eat those then. SO with no other options he ordered the veggie pasta. The entrees arrived and the veggie pasta was covered in shredded cheese. Waitress seemed surprised but took both entrees back and brought new ones. Hubby said the pasta tasted only of garlic. My venison was AMAZING. We ate, paid and left (FYI the veggie pasta was $36, total bill $160). I decided to email the Chef not to complain but to let him know that the expectation that he had for his servers and the experience was not how he initially explained. VERY quickly i got a respons apolagizing and explaining this is absolutely not how the experience should have been and that the GM will reach out to me. GM and I spoke over phone and he apologized again and offered us a credit to come back for a 2nd attempt. We came back and got a new server, Jaykob, who was absolutely amazing. He explained every entree on the menu for me and then the chef offered a multi course vegan tasting menu. The vegan items that just kept coming out from kitchen were equally all delicious and there was at least 6 including a dessert. Our 2nd visit was exactly how I would expect an establishment with a award winning Chef/owner to accommodate dietary requirements. I ordered the pork chop and it was the best and HUGE. THe cocktails were spot on as well. Jaykob was very attentive and made sure that as each vegan item came out he explained exactly what it was. He seemed genuinely excited each time bc it was something new. This will be our goto special occassion place anytime we are at our house in Panama City Beach. Went for dinner with some skepticism after reading the less than flattering reviews. Most of the negative reviews involved portion size and poor service. We found great service and adequate portion size for high end dining. For appetizers we had quail which was delicious. Now quail is not a large bird but it was excellent. For entre, we each had a filet mignon cooked medium rare and that is how it was served. The steak need no sauce and steak was perfected as served with a nice sear. My wife, daughter and I had a delightful experience at Cuvee tonight. The waitress, Halley, was very attentive and provided excellent recommendations. My family has long been a Tim Creehan fan dating back to his Beach Walk days. His restaurant still delivers top quality meals. There was not a bad bite all night long. My wife's only disappointment was when she found out that he no longer does the Maytag blue cheese dressing that she loved so much. A renowned chef and his team know what they're doing. Cuvee 30A brings out some fantastic approaches to standards that will leave you happy you indulged. Service was definitely a winner - thank you, Patrick - and the experience was a treat. We enjoyed the fried green tomatoes, wherein the two sauces combine for an almost-bisque sort of feel and flavor with the sweet of the fruit. On a tomato kick, we split the burrata and 'mato salad, where the cheese was the clear winner (imported from NOLA, we're told). Main course: the sea bass daily was unbelievable. The Grouper a la Vince Gill was a nice treat, but didn't compare to the sea bass dish ... and how can key lime pie handmade go wrong? Loved the meal, appreciated the care from the staff. The real miss here is the lack of non-alcoholic options or offerings from the bar. For a place that specializes in drinks, you'd think a little more attention would be paid. They didn't even offer San Pellegrino (though the sparkling water is made on site, apparently.) My point is non-drinkers appreciate a quality beverage with their meals, too. We were in town for my bachelorette party, it was our last night in town and Cuvee was the perfect way to end our trip. We asked Randy to take a picture of us at the end of our dinner and he took extra time to bring us to the wine room to get a better picture than just taking it at the table. Going into this, please know that service might/will be slow. First, the food was excellent. Second, ambiance was also nice and bit romantic/upper scale. My wife is gluten free and they had a ton of options to choose from. We ordered a salad to split, but that was unnecessary as the salads were smaller portions than you see elsewhere, but still good. I ordered the braised short rib which was the best I ever had with burrata potatoes (need I saw more). My wife had the pork chop, which was good, but a bit overcooked. Things happen, but still good. Dessert was the disappointment of the night for us. They had a chocolate tort that was gluten free and I had the banana cream pie, but was also considering the Corleone. The chocolate tort was more like a gluten free brownie than the slick chocolate tort we are used to that's almost like fudge. The banana cream was huge and just a bit too much. Seemed like they tried to do too much with it. I did not like it and wish I got the Corleone, but thems the breaks. It seemed that the food portions were perfect so you were not taking a doggie box home, which I prefer. Our waiter did a great job. The food was very good. Our server was great. I just have one thing to warn you of. There is no disclosure of the art and entertainment fee, credit card processing fee and if you split an entree no disclosure of a 7.00 fee on top Of the 42.00 entree charge. I ordered a salad and oyster appetizer and then a yellowfin tuna entree with my daughter. I figured we would pick at it all. I never asked for them to split the entree and then on top of that they charge me 7.00 for that. Add a cocktail and tip out bill was 145.00 I wouldn't go back due to these additional add on fees because it should be disclosed. The only glitch was the need for a selection of the menu that includes a chicken dish that would allow for people with seafood allergies or individuals that do not eat red meat . Will I go back? Heck yeah . This place is fantastic and i absolutely love it. I also wish to help the restaurant by this suggestion. My last negative is when looking online at the menu it showed Chilean sea bass and a selection of vegetables that was not there at the time of our visit. Everything that we saw was an inducement for us coming to this wonderful restaurant.
