Both times we ordered the cucumber dish as well as the green onion pancakes because they were delish. The pancakes were thin and crispy and the cucumbers were pickled and came as 2 pieces, wound in a spiral mound. On the first night we had pork XLB, full of bursting soup upon a bite. The fried rice was Ok but Hubby liked more than I did. The second night, we tried Dan Dan noodle. It was pretty spicy but had a nice flavor. We tried the chicken XLB instead. I preferred the pork XLB over the chicken. We also tried the pork pan fried buns, cane as 4 pieces and I liked them better than the XLB. Servers are nice but not very attentive. The wontons were good, but the chili sauce was the star. It was numbing and a little minty feeling. It was really great over the fried rice, which didn't stand out to me but was good to pair the dishes with. The crab and pork soup dumplings were sooo tasty, I would definitely get them again. The prawns we got were also great, I really enjoyed the crunchy coating and extras that came with it. I really enjoyed the space and food, I will definitely be coming back!

Now THAT is my kind of party. Happy 11th Anniversary, Hong Kong Bistro! Been a while coming back and already I'm wondering why it took Moshii so long to arrive at the table! I finally tried the Chinese Doughnut Rice Noodle Roll--a first for me--and now I understand the obsession. That wonderfully chewy rice noodle wrapped around the crispy Chinese doughnut is such a delicious textural contrast. Add a bowl of warm rice congee and suddenly you understand why these traditional combinations have stood the test of time. Then came the Xiao Long Bao--delicately steamed, filled with luscious juices and a lovely little morsel of pork hiding inside. One bite and careful, darling... don't spill the treasure! The Peanut Chiu Chow Dumpling, Hong Kong Bistro style, was another delightful surprise--steamed, nutty and packed with wonderful flavor. And the Lo Mai Gai--sticky rice filled with those wonderfully unctuous, savory little goodies tucked inside. Remind me - Chinese sausage, beef minced and black mushroom. Comfort food wrapped up in a little bundle of deliciousness. And those $4.99 anniversary specials? Darling... Moshii is officially a FAN! Good food, good tradition, generous portions and a restaurant celebrating 11 years by sharing the love with its customers. So value wise this place earned the full stars from me, as I liked my past experiences in the Kitchen, but the Restaurant comes out ahead with pricing. I have been craving baked pork chop with rice over tomato sauce and cheese, and this place delivers. Definitely not cheap as I paid north of $20 for it, almost double what I usually pay outside of Seattle, but there's barely any good HK cafes out here so this will do. For the baked pork chop rice here, I liked the baked cheese that adds additional flavor, and the pork has no fat so I can just easily consume all the pieces. The rice is okay, but texture is good. The tomato sauce is apparent and helps with the overall flavors of the dish. I liked that for takeout, they put it in a foil bowl to keep most of the food warm.

We finally tried Harmony Palace, a Hong Kong-style 茶餐廳 I'd been seeing online for a while. The restaurant is small and pleasantly quiet; there was only one other party when we arrived. Honestly, fewer crowds is a bonus these days. We ordered a solid spread: HK milk tea, 鴛鴦, curry chicken rice, 混醬腸粉, 雲吞麵, 沙嗲牛肉米, and 西多士. Overall, I'd give it 4 stars. The curry looked a little questionable at first--don't judge a curry by its color--but it tasted great. The 腸粉 was thicker than I expected, but everything else was enjoyable. The milk tea and 鴛鴦 were right on par with what you'd want from an HK café, and the prices felt reasonable by current Seattle standards, which is almost its own five-star category. No complaints overall. I'd definitely come back--just maybe leave 30 minutes early for parking.
