Hubby ordered Chinese takeout tonight since both of us were too tired to cook and he was craving fried rice. We got that, a sweet and sour pork, and a stir fried green bean. It only took one bite of each to decide I didn't like it, and a few more before I tossed the whole thing in the trash. The sweet and sour pork had the texture of no pork whatsoever, just a fried ball of desiccated starch slathered in sauce. The green beans were actually SLIMY. And the fried rice had absolutely no flavor whatsoever. Honestly I'd never been offended by Chinese takeout until today. Had I kept eating due to my Asian perseverance, I'm pretty sure I would have gotten diarrhea. Hard no to future orders from this place. read more

Love Chinese food and this did not disappoint. I got their chow mein, general tso chicken, and a sweet spicy chicken (I think). Taste was spot on. Some of the chicken pieces were very dry which is why I'm giving it a 4. Would come back again, though. The owner is super nice and very helpful. read more

I'm from LA and I've been looking for a basic fast food Chinese take-out spot in Seattle. This place is exactly what I was looking for. Their hot and sour soup is really tasty! I also ordered the 2-entree meal with all fried rice, general tsao's chicken, and spicy chili chicken. The fried rice is good, general tsao's chicken is more like Orange chicken, and spicy chili chicken is excellent. I'd go back just for the soup! Next time I'd also like to try their egg rolls and teriyaki chicken; both looked really good. I'll definitely be returning! read more

Magic Dragon is basically a 1 star version of Panda Express. Serving fast-food style Americanized Chinese food, Magic Dragon really falls short in all area. The quality was lacking (my honey sesame chicken was basically 1/4 chicken, 3/4 coating and goop), flavors were off (even for americanized chinese everything tasted sour, fishy or overly sweet), and the selection was much smaller than offered at panda express. Prices and portions were about equivalent to your typical panda express. Do yourself a favor and go with a more reliable fast-food chinese option (panda express). Seriously, Magic Dragon offers the same gimmick but is not done up to par. Parking: Private lot in front of the restaurant is spacious shared with several other places and Walgreen so plenty of spaces. read more

I'm a fan of their #1. It's a single entrée, (I liked the tasty "Spicy General Tso's chicken), and a generous portion of rice (your choice of steamed or fried). Don't expect a dirty little hole in the wall waiter-service joint. You're getting deli-style here. Like you'd get at panda Express.. but a tad less clean... and a tad more affordable. :-) read more

When someone first told me about Magic Dragon, I thought it was a joke. The name itself is just too ridiculous to be believable. A Chinese fast food restaurant called Magic Dragon sounds like something out of a sitcom. This one has the added bonus of being located in a relatively new strip mall in the Central District. The space is clean, the steam tray options had good variety, and the lady who worked there was tolerably friendly. I ordered the 2 entree combo which comes with fried rice and chow mein for $7. Huge portions is one of the advertised points of Magic Dragon and I have to agree. That meal could have fed three people. The noodles in the chow mein were overcooked but it was seasoned well. The mongolian beef wasn't the best in texture but the flavors were good. The fried rice is mediocre, I'd ask next time to see if I can substitute more chow mein instead. The General Tso's chicken is nothing to write home about; the pieces of chicken had a nice amount of meat but the coating was so mealy and soft. I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here but I am glad I have now satisfied my curiosity about Magic Dragon. read more

This place is very mediocre. Not anything special. It's kind of small & the amount of choices definitely are dissapointing. Taste of the food is good. Drinks are never included with any of their meals, & what makes it even worse is that the place is expensive. It's kept relatively clean. Located in the heart of the central district. Yup all bad. I've been going to this place for years. The chow mein w/ orange chicken and general chao is my go to meal.

Wow, a little gem. I am new to the area and wanted some Chinese. My friend said this place was fast and good. She was right on both counts! The service was friendly and he dished up our take boxes to the brim! I had general tsao and spicy chicken. A little more spice would be nice but good nonetheless. I love this place, I love their foods. I can't say it's a good customer service, but it's pretty quick and go! And it's not that big like Panda Express, so it's easy to get which one you wanted. And also, don't go in the mornings, because then you'll realize they didn't finish making the meat you wanted to eat, so if I were you, go after like 2 hours when they open the restaurant. read more

Pretty good spot to grab some quick Chinese. The fried rice and chow mein could use some improvement, but the entrees were good and portions generous. It's similar to Panda Express but better in some ways, and their 2 portion plate is about the size of a 3 entree meal at Panda. It isn't anything amazing but I can see how they've expanded to several locations. read more

Obviously not the best quality, since it's fast food, but the portions are huge! It isn't my favorite Chinese place, but it's quick, easy, and cheap. Good for when you're craving sesame chicken or something but don't feel like going to an actual sit-down restaurant. It's good for what it is, and you get what you pay for. Awful! Not even worth the energy it takes to walk into this place. There is really no redeeming qualities to speak of and a one star review is generous. I went here a few weeks ago because there are few options near my work and I needed something quick. Got a value bowl which is basically white or fried rice with your choice of entree. The fried rice tasted old and sour. The entree tasted like salt. Just really gross. Sigh. This place is forever tainted for me by my housemate's horrible reaction to eating here. Four of us went for a house dinner; the place is your typical syrofoam cheapo Chinese food place. (Which has its own charms, I'm sure) My friend, not a big fan of decent Chinese food, was traumatized first by the fat content of the meat in her dish, and secondly by a hair found in her food. Whereupon the most frugal person I know proceeded to throw her whole meal away. If shewastes food, you know it's bad! It wasn't good enough to get my repeat business. read more
