This is a good place to grab a drink! We weren't staying at the hotel but came to check out Cut & Bourbon around 5:30 on a Saturday. There weren't any games or big events going on at one of the stadiums, so it wasn't super busy, but there was a decent crowd by the time we left. We sat in chairs next to the big windows overlooking AT&T Stadium, which made for a great sunset view. When the sun gets low, it illuminates the inside of the stadium orange/red. Cool to watch! There is a variety of seating - high top, couches, chairs, and bar seating. It was a little hard to get the attention of a bartender/server at first, but the service was good after that. I wanted to try their customizable old fashioned on their "Just an Old Fashioned Love Story" but didn't feel comfortable enough to choose my ingredients - all I knew is that I wanted gin. Fortunately, our bartender was willing to make something for me. It ended up being very good! My friend ordered off their cocktail list, but after a decent amount of time our bartender came back and said they didn't have one of the ingredients for it. Strange...but not a big deal. My friend ordered a different drink off the menu and she liked. All in all, it's a nice hotel bar. If you want a slightly more upscale option than you can find in the sports-bar vibes at Texas Live, this is a good place to go. read more

My husband and I stopped in for a belated valentines celebration last night. Immediately upon entering the restaurant we were in love with the cleanliness and decor. The hostess was quick to seat us at a table however it was right in the middle of the restaurant, close to the kitchen door and in the middle of the walkway to the next room with the windows. So we had a steady flow of traffic by our table all evening which was very distracting. If we come back I'm requesting a table.in the back room away from the traffic. The service was outstanding. Our server was Nicole and took time to explain the menu and the cocktails all while being super friendly and energetic. She checked in on us throughout the meal to make sure everything was great. The drinks were outstanding and wine selection was amazing. The food for the most part was delicious but to be a steak restaurant, they did NOT nail the steaks. I ordered the filet with oscar topping and my husband got the New York strip. I ordered mine medium and he got his medium well with extra seasoning because he had read reviews that the steaks were under seasoned. Our steaks came out and my filet was so salty and tough I could only eat half. His was more tender but still pretty tough even though it was cooked medium instead of medium well like he requested. In think they got our requests mixed up because his steak was not near as salty as mine. Watching the guys in the kitchen prepare the steaks after we ate I could see why I couldn't finish. I watched one guy put half a pound of salt on a 10-12 ounce steak! The bread was delicious and the crab egg roll appetizer our server suggested was awesome. Out of the sides we ordered: the asparagus and mac and cheese was perfect. The fries were disappointing because they were tough. Overall, great service and some of the food was delicious. When we received our check, we both said we would have rather gone to Pappas or Nick and Sam's in Dallas for the amount of money we spent. It's off of a busy hotel lobby. It's patrons are probably mostly out-of-towners. But there's value to that in a joint. They wouldn't be there if people didn't come back. It was hopping because of the Cotton Bowl, but they were on top of it. Constantly taken care of. Great wine list. Loved my Manhattan. My brother and I split a bone-in ribeye (never have I done that). They didn't even blink over the request and gladly served it as if it were two separate steaks. If I were in Arlington again - especially for a game - I'd come back here again in a heartbeat. No fifth star only because it's just a bit too templatized for me...not enough originality. But worth the meal and experience for sure. read more

This restaurant is located inside Live! by Loews, upscale sports resort hotel, which is spectacular but that's another story for another post. I wanted to try their double bone lamb chop and it did not disappoint. I highly recommend it because a good lamb chop is hard it find. But the star of the night was the carrot cake topped with maple cream cheese sauce, cranberries, and candied pecans. It was fabulous and by far one of the best carrot cake, I have had. read more

Save you're time and money. We were seated as soon as we arrived. After being seated it took 15-20 mins for our waitress to arrive she was great. Drinks took another 15 mins. It was a two hour mediocre meal that wasn't anything to ride home about. read more

He did not know that I was here for my birthday and wasn't having the best time, but he ended up making my trip worth it. He was very kind and had an infectious personality. The previous night, we decided to grab a bite here since it was in our hotel. Stood at the counter for a good 10 minutes. The hostess was fiddling with some papers and wouldn't look up at me. When she finally did, I informed her that we needed a table for 2 (There were several empty tables). I was told that since we didn't have a reservation she couldn't seat us. We stayed at the Live hotel and the experience of their in house restaurant was amazing. We had dinner and our waiter Rafael took really good care of us. All of his suggestions were spot on. The chimmichuri topping for the filet minon was out of this world. The lamb chops were phenomenal and the watermelon salad was superb. For breakfast were treated amazingly by Lauren. We enjoyed Cut & Bourbon from start to finish. We were welcomed with a smile and we were very well attended throughout the evening. The special event menu offered a wonderfully eclectic selection and we were not disappointed. Each presentation was timely, flawless, the ingredients were fresh and the preparation was on par with those of any top tier dining establishment. A vast offering of bourbons and full wine list for any pairing or pallet did not disappoint. The dining room is full windows set off the courtyard of Texas Live but the ambiance was warm and felt like a great spot for a small intimate gathering. I ordered the surf and turf, 10oz filet and shrimp for $88. It came with a small side of mashed potatoes and a few pieces of roasted veg. For $88 bucks one would imagine this would be the best surf and turf ever. Unfortunately it wasn't as good as other steakhouses I frequent with much better reasonable prices. We also ordered the candied bacon, it did taste good, but it was $14 for one piece of bacon. A splurge I wouldn't do frequently. We came to Texas on a trip and we're looking for a nice steakhouse - of course we were overwhelmed with options! We've tried a few now and Cut & Bourbon was exceptional. It made sense to eat here at least one night because of its proximity to the stadiums. It's a new steakhouse, very relaxing and new atmosphere. My husband for the filet and it was a great portion, very thick, and cooked perfectly. I got the risotto which was amazing. Lastly, our waitress was unbelievably kind. She was very attentive, observant and went above and beyond to make us feel special as we had a few celebrations. They over charged me for the Bordeaux wine which was $70 on the menu and on the ticket was $80. It took them so long to get my valet ticket back to me that I was ready to go and tired so I didn't bother asking them to fix it. I had to ask for my valet ticket twice and waited 20-30 min. to get it after I was ready to go. It was crazy packed - so many people - it took a long time to get my car. Very slow to seat despite our reservations... we passed like 12 open tables on the way to ours, which made the wait even more irritating. Great tartare, but spelled wrong on the menu... filets were cooked perfectly but one was incredibly, horribly over salted. The custom old fashioned was amazing! Chocolate cake was rich and amazing too! Oh and my husband ordered whiskey sours that were really homemade- very good!! The over-salt ruined my steak- and it looks like a problem seeing it in another review, but the overall impact was a 4/5. I'd go back for sure- especially for drinks!! During my stay at Live at Loews I went down to enjoy breakfast from Cut & Bourbon. Braillen was our server he was very attentive & had awesome customer service. I ordered scrambled eggs, bacon & potatoes. Everything was pretty tasty but the potatoes were more so potatoe wedges instead of breakfast potatoes. It was about 75 degrees outside. The weather & the patio was perfect for a quiet & tranquil breakfast/brunch. Patio seating/dining looks out onto the park. It was very peaceful & calming since there were very few patrons due to covid. Myself & my friend sat on the patio for almost 3 hours enjoying the ambiance & engaging in good conversation. My friend ordered breakfast from Cut & Bourbon via room service. He ordered scrambled eggs, crispy bacon, smoked sausage & apple juice. He said everything was pretty tasty & cooked like he liked it. The customer service & food makes me want to come back to this place if I'm in Texas again. I definitely want to try the lunch & dinner menu. I sat right on the edge to get sunlight since it was a bit windy. Be mindful that with winds the fountain water sprinkles at you with the wind if you're sitting on the edge. I found this place on yelp and decided to give it a try because it had great reviews. We made a reservation for 12 of us for Saturday brunch and when we arrived we were set up in a little private dining area; very nice and unexpected. The brunch menu has something for everyone; crepes, omelets, shrimp, salmon, French toast, etc and the slab bacon...the slab bacon, oh my word. The place is lovely; a touch of elegance without being overly bougie. The staff are all super personable and very accommodating. We were there during the eclipse and shared our glasses with the staff so everyone could enjoy. It's in the Loews Live Hotel behind Texas Live in case you're unsure. The prices were very reasonable, less than you'd expect with the higher class atmosphere. We will be retuning in the future and highly recommend Cut & Bourbon to everyone in the area, whether you are visiting or a local.
