Ambiance is good, clean, and proper. communication on the other hand is poor. We were originally told the wait time for this restaurant would be 30-40min and we waited 40+ min. We waited and after 40+ min we asked the waitress at the register how much time was left, it seems like based on their system she had us waiting an extra 11min because they forgot to text us letting us know our table was available. Additionally we really wanted to order the burger, since that was the main reason we came in for and once seated we didn't see the burger on the menu item so we inquired with our server (really nice by the way) and she stated this was only a menu item for the bar and we were unable to order this if we were seated inside the restaurant. A bit odd, if the restaurant has this item it should be available regardless of where you are seated. We settled for a pizza instead that was tasty. When it was delivered we asked again if there was anyway we could add the burger and the waiter said he would send someone to speak to us about it. After this no one came to speak to us to confirm it would be possible and when the time came around to ask for the check our waitress asked if we weren't going to wait for our burger?? They really need to make a uniform menu or add disclaimers that certain items are not included in their restaurant vs bar menus read more

First off, it's located inside a hotel, which I didn't realize until we were almost there, after driving 50 minutes specifically to try it. I came for the pizza: the dough and marinara were good, but they topped it with a cold white cheese (stracciatella) that cooled the entire pizza down quickly, was gross, and ruined it. I would have ordered a regular cheese pizza had I known their margherita doesn't use the standard mozzarella you'd typically expect, especially since their website shows a traditional margherita, which is not at all what I received. My husband ordered the lumache rigate, and it also came with the same cold white cheese in the middle, which made the dish lose its heat almost immediately, and again, the cheese was not good. I had high hopes for this place, but it ended up being a big disappointment. To top it off, valet took 24 minutes to bring our car around. Overall, not a great experience, and unfortunately, we won't be back. read more

Loved everything about this restaurant! The food was tasty, fresh and came out hot and fresh. The service was exceptional, our waitress explained the menu well and was attentive. The fritto misto was the perfect amount of crispiness. The lumache was saucy like it like it and had just the right amount of spice. The chicken Parmesan was a nice size and flavorful. During our stay at Loews Hotels, I decided to order dinner to-go since this restaurant was inside the hotel on the first floor. I went downstairs and placed my order with the hostesses and was told to come back in 20 minutes. I went back to our room to get some work done before heading back down. It was ready to be pick it up at the bar once I arrived. I ordered two items: arugula and fennel salad - bland and unflavored even with the vinaigrette, and a pappardelle pasta - extremely salty and the pasta was grainy. Very disappointed with both dishes and couldn't justify the prices of the items. Loved the romantic ambiance and the bar outside of the restaurant. It's a great spot to grab a drink if you're not planning to go inside to have dinner. read more

What an absolute dream! To start, the restaurant is beautiful! There is a patio extension for when the weather is nice and the kitchen is open so you can see the magic happening. The service was incredible and super knowledgeable of what is coming out of the kitchen. But most importantly, the FOOD was TO DIE FOR! House made pasta is always a win.. but the sauce was so memorable that I will dream of it in sleeps to come. The menu says spicy (but it wasn't spicy to where it was anything but just flavorful- side note: my toddler loved it). The calzone was perfectly crispy and filled with the perfect balance of meat & ricotta. It came with a big bowl of marinara in case you wanted to douce your bite in their rich red sauce. Farena js a made to order/semi-upscale Italian spot located just off the lobby in the Loews Arlington Hotel. Their claim to fame is their scratch made pastas and the large copper wood fired pizza ovens. The space is open, including the kitchen, which provides a cool glimpse into how things are made from scratch, and how the ingredients are treated before, during and after preparation. While the dining space is open, it still has small separations in vibe from casual to more formal, all depending on where you are seated. The space is well light, clean and flows nicely. We decided to grab lunch in between meetings and we are glad we did. We wanted a light lunch, so we decided to split a few things including a Caesar salad, meatball sandwich and a Margherita pizza. The Caesar was delightful, the meatball sub was delicious and the pizza was *chefs kiss*. While the sandwich and salad were good, the pizza was the star. It's a Neapolitan style pie with thin, but not floppy base and a fluffy crust that has char marks throughout. The pie was simple perfection and beyond tasty! Service was stellar from entry to exit. The hostess and server were friendly and knowledgeable. Overall, Farena is a solid spot for. Good lunch or dinner whether a date night or business meal. Good spot, will certainly be back. read more

Normally hotel restaurants are just okay, but Farena actually has great food! The handmade pappardelle was delicious and the appetizers were all amazing! The beef meatballs and fritto misto (calamari) were my favorites, while the bruschetta wasn't quite my taste. I would have rated this place 4 stars, except our waiter was a little rude and forgot to bring my iced tea til the very end of our long meal. He was completely unapologetic and stoic. Also, the dessert was terrible. We were all looking forward to trying the olive oil cake, so we ordered multiple ones - and they were all super dry and disgusting. What incredible service first management cave sat us down in the best location then we really weren't that hungry but we wanted to small snack. We had the beet salad which was incredible. My husband and I went here for an anniversary dinner and we had such a wonderful time! Our server Abraham was so kind and the manager stopped by to tell us happy anniversary as well. Luckily it was Sunday evening and no one was in restaurant but us.... A win! I knew when the server brought out the BAGNA CAUDA we were in for a good night. I asked for garlic bread and this was sooooo much better. The taste of garlic and anchovies or whatever else was in that little saucer was amazing!!! We then order two pastas.... Staff: incredibly friendly and accommodating. They go above and beyond for their customers. Our waiter, Andre, was THE best! Food: I had the chicken parm and it was incredible! A nice little spot in the Loews Hotel lobby. We did a late night meal after a Rangers game and enjoyed it. Awesome that they were open until 11 PM! The place has a great vibe and look, and we were seated near the back of the place, away from the bustling bar scene that greeted us as we entered. I do think they serve the menu (or at least a shorter version of it) in the bar area. Service was good, although not extremely polished or even. I did overhear a server tell someone at another table that had gotten two items and asked if he should eat from the service bowls or should he get a plate. The waitress replied, "I don't care what you do, but I can get you a plate if you want one." I know she didn't mean to sound harsh, but it really felt like she could have said it better, OR even better, she should have just given him a plate before the food arrived or when it was dropped at the table. Anyway... We didn't drink that night, but the cocktail menu looked fun and they have some nice wines, too. Food we had was very good. I had an outstanding chicken dish that I would go back weekly to enjoy, it was so delicious. My wife got the Meatballs and they were really tasty, but they had a side of flatbread that accompanied that had kind of a funky element that I wasn't that impressed by. It might be a beer, or something like that, but I would worry that the pizza dough contained it and that would make me leery. My waiter was super attentive and was able to give great recommendations for wine to pair along with my Ragu pasta, as well as a chopped salad, which was amazing. This place is a nice addition to Arlington's Entertainment District. It has a modern feel and would be great for large parties when there are no games going on. Valet is free but it took an excruciatingly long time to get my car when we were done with dinner. The meatballs and Italian bread are a must and I will order them everytime I come here. The meatballs were hearty and filling while the bread comes with aged prosciutto,pesto,and ricotta. The pasta was fabulous and we enjoyed the Cacio E Pepe and the Tagliatelle. The Caesar salad is not yet prepared table side and is absolutely nothing to rave about. It was literally JUST a salad but it was nicely dressed and instead of croutons there was more like a crouton dust. The two desserts we had, the Pistachio & Marble Chocolate Cheesecake (rich & salty with a deep chocolate taste) and the Lemon Sabayon (tart with an intense lemon flavor balanced with fresh berries) were unique and enough to share. We stayed at the Loews Hotel this past weekend & our entire stay was a 5 star experience! We were really impressed by the food we ate while we were there. We ordered Farena one night to eat poolside after a long day of swimming. The cacio e Pepe, spaghetti, meatballs & bread were all devoured by my family in no time. The next morning, we decided to try Farena out for breakfast since we enjoyed their dinner dishes so much. We sat inside near the area that overlooked the patio & the pool. We were the only ones in there by the time we were seated because breakfast hours were almost over, but regardless, our service was extremely quick! My son got the kid's waffle, and said it was the best one he's had. My daughter ordered kid's scrambled eggs with cheese & a side of fruit (they only had the good fruit in their kids side of fruit ). Her eggs were delicious (I stole a few bites). My other daughter ordered the kid's Nutella banana flatbread & loved it. I ordered the rustic toast with a side of potatoes & it was SO good! I came to Dallas to attend the Woman Evolve conference and my friend and I made reservations for lunch at this restaurant. I went in blindly only knowing it was Italian, but honestly you can't go wrong with Italian. We were seated right away and our waitress Sarah was AMAZING!! She was very accommodating and knew the menu very well. I asked for her opinion on what to order and the way she listed the food and knew exactly what I needed to hear was perfect. Wow! We started off with sparkling water and lemons and then we ordered the meatballs, Bruschetta and the LUMACHE RIGATE. She mentioned that the pasta would be spicy, but it was perfect for me. Everything is made fresh and the food was perfectly timed as well. I didn't really care too much for the Bruschetta so I probably wouldn't order that again. I throughly enjoyed the pasta. This is located inside the Loews Arlington Hotel. We had a little trouble finding the location. The bathroom was clean and we had a beautiful view overlooking the pool. This place is located inside the Lowe's hotel across from the ballpark. Parking is valet or a garage around the corner. Reasonable fee and super easy to get to the restaurant. The place has a nice ambiance , dim lighting , lots of wines. We ordered the Cesar salad, braised short rib parpadelle, pepperoni pizza. The salad was the best we've had, the server was very considerate in asking if we wanted it in separate bowls versus a shared one, made it even better . The short rib was excellent, succulent and rich with flavor- you could taste the time it took to cook it; pasta was thick and easy to chew; sauce was simply the fat renderings but nothing else it seemed. Pepperoni pizza was excellent. Soft bottom, foldable if that's your thing; charred crust added to the flavor. Pepperoni was thick as described and cheese was stretching; the crust was buttery. I was really surprised that Farena's did not have a yelp page after my second time eating here. I took it upon myself to create Farena's yelp page to help others discover how amazing this restaurant is. Farena's is a new Italian restaurant in the new Loews hotel in Arlington. Farena's serves breakfast, lunch and dinner from 7am to 10 or 11pm. I've personally only eaten here for dinner but, have heard that breakfast was great. Looking back to the first time I ate here, I was amazed with the atmosphere since it did not look anything simular to any restaurant that is in Arlington. The atmosphere has a relaxed modern environment with dim lighting at night with an open kitchen design. It is the first restaurant that I can truly say I was immersed in. When sitting there at Farena's I feel like I am not in Arlington, instead I feel like I am on vacation at a nice resort. It is important to have restaurants that can immerse yourself in the environment to give somewhat of an escapism feeling to relax yourself which Farena's does really well. Let's move from the atmosphere to the Italian food that they specialize in. The first thing you can see when walking into Farena's is a pasta making station and two big pizza ovens. I don't know where else in Arlington where you can get homemade pastas and pizzas. Everything is homemade and made from scratch daily. Our first night here we wanted to try as many things as possible so we shared a lot of things. We first got the beef meatballs, ravioli, and cacio e pepe. The meatballs had a great savory and garlicky flavor which had a nice soft texture when eaten directly. It came with a side of fresh bread to scoop up the marinara sauce that covered the meatballs. I was impressed how flavorful these meatballs were and would recommend these to start with. The ravioli has short rib, mushrooms, celery, lambrusco, and a parmesan cream sauce that takes it to the next level. Instantly you can detect that the pasta is homemade just by the color alone. You can really tell by the texture and flavor when eating any pasta here. The ravioli has the same comforting flavor that you expect to get at any Italian restaurant but better since it incorporates fresh ingredients that pair well with the lightness of the pasta. I remember the cacio e pepe being light, peppery and creamy. It did not deviate from the classical flavors that this dish had to offer which was nice. Having a dish that incorporates simplicity while maintaining a classical flavor is a home run in my opinion. The next thing that we ordered and shared was the spezaita (spicy) pizza. The spezaita has fior de latte (a type of mozzarella), crushed marzano tomatos, calabrian chili, spicy sausage, and hot coppa. If I had a favorite pizza in Arlington... THIS WOULD BE IT! The combination of spicy ingredients while pairing with the robust flavor if the sausage and cheese is simply fantastic! Not to mention the authentic crust of the pizza just takes the pizza to the next level. The texture is what is expected of an amazing pizza with the flakey crust and a little char from the pizza ovens. Tonight I got to try the pizza bianca with gorgonzola béchamel, ricotta, fior de latte, roasted garlic. It's one of their best white pizzas on the menu and competes on the same level as the spezaita pizza. If you want a garlicky sweet pizza... this is the pizza to get. I'm pretty sure that this pizza has a honey finish to give it the sweet flavor that it has. The softness of the gorgonzola and the ricotta pairing with the honey finish makes the pizza comfortable and fun. Also the whole garlic bite to balance out that sweetness can't be beat. I seriously don't think you could get a bad pizza or pasta here at Farena's! Last but not least dessert! We have tried every dessert on this menu except for the coffee hazelnut and chocolate layer cake. I got the vanilla and chocolate chip gelato for my personal dessert. It was fantastic! It gives you the sweetness you need that you expect from a gelato. It is sharable if you need help eating it. My family got the classic tiramisu and the pistachio and marble chocolate cheesecake. The tiramisu is sharable for 4 people. It has the nice soft texture while providing the strong coffee flavor that did not overwhelm the other ingredients in the tiramisu. Fantastic! The pistachio and marble chocolate cheesecake was great as well. If you like cheesecake get this dessert! The chocolate paired well with the salty pistachio and dark amaretto cherries that were incorporated into the cheesecake as well. Tonight we got the traditional lemon sabayon to change it up. If you like tart desserts or lemon flavors this is the dessert for you! We thought it to be more like a custard but it had the texture of somewhat melted ice cream which was a good thing. I discovered this hidden gem in an article by that name in Arlington Today magazine! Huge wood fired ovens for authentic pizza, house made pastas, delicious entrees. Located in the newly opened Loewes hotel (not Texas Live!, the one across the street), with free valet parking! It's spendy but a good value and lovely for a special occasion. Having been to two pizza parlors in Napoli, I can attest that this is the authentic Italian version. The only other place that came close in DFW was Fireside Pies, now closed.
