Our food was excellent. Our server was amazing. I love this place because it is quiet.

Was craving Italian food and found this place close by. The server Jimmy was kind and attentive and provided great customer service. We ordered the Linguine Primavera with pink sauce and it was delicious. I enjoyed that it had plenty of the veggies and the pasta was cooked nicely. We also ordered the lasagna with Alfredo sauce due to the meat sauce having basil and we needed to avoid a basil allergy. There was a mixup in us thinking we could still get the meat in the lasagna (the meat had the basil not just the sauce) and when we received it there was no meat so we asked for some grilled chicken and they quickly helped fix our confusion. I'm glad we had that mixup because that chicken was so flavorful it made the lasagna that much more tasty! The bread was tasty as well. The restaurant itself was pretty quiet and spacious. It had the usual Italian themed decorations. Overall I enjoyed my dining experience. I'd definitely go back and try other things on the menu. read more

I really wanted to like this place. The reviews are great and I was excited. Service is great! We had a nice waitress who kept our glasses full and made sure we had what we needed. Ambiance is about the same you would find in any shopping center eating place. The food, just not great. It was edible but I would not eat here again. Especially for the prices they change. Before tip it was 57.00 for 3 people who all drank water. That's about 20 bucks a plate. I'm going to Olive Garden for that price point and eating food that's 10x better. I'm glad so many other people like it, but it's just not for me or my family. read more

We went not long after open and there was only one server (on a weekday, I get it). But she had a large party she was tending to that took up most of her attention. We sat ourselves and waited almost 20 mins just for menus. Another 20 mins went by before waters came out. And our salad beat our bread. The food was good (the arancini was AMAZING), Ijust felt bad for the server who also ended up with the 3-4 tables that came in after us. Wish she had more help. read more

I really enjoy coming to cafe sicilia, the inside always feels so homey and the workers are super nice and friendly. The food is pretty good to me also, I love all their pastas! The only thing is that when I went to the other location or when I went here for the first time when they opened the portions were a little bigger. Other than that everything was great! read more

Ambiance is nice... very Italian. Service is great...pleasant and professional. Food is decent. We ordered the seafood Alfredo and zuppa di pesce dishes. Although they were flavorful, there were only 2 shrimp in each dish and they use imitation crab. When we called to inquire about having 2 shrimp in each dish, we were told that was the norm. 1st time here. Service / Personal was amazing. Gave my sister and me information over menu and time to choose. Provide refills of drinks without having to be requested. Food was hot/warm super good. Sam owner/manager came to our table after I accidentally spilled my drink on my take home portion. He staff had told him what happened and he had the kitchen make me a fresh portion to take home he told us a bit about the restaurant history and when told we would be back with family he let us know about the byob option. Always amazes me that this place remains open. There is literally never anyone in there. The atmosphere is dark, uncomfortably quiet and dingy. We really liked their pizza years ago, when they first opened, so we decided to pick up two pies on Halloween because the other shops were so busy. Yuck. The veggies on the pizza tasted like frozen veggies and the cheese was so thick, it tasted weird. The crust was soggy and tasteless. My fiance got the rigatoni arribiata & added meatballs, both meals were delicious along with the rolls they serve before your meal. The workers were all very nice and welcoming. It's a really simple favor to yourself. A small cozy Intimate family spot. It's ByOB and very quiet. I don't know Italian much but what I do know is that it was good. The customer service was nice. Nothing over the top but just the right feel for a Monday starting the week. The food was good and wasn't too busy. My family loved it and so did I. We got the food to go: salmon toscana, zuppa pesce, spinach and artichoke dip, and fagioli. The garlic rolls were toasted and perfectly buttery. Delicious. I felt the spinach and artichoke dip was too liquid-y and the marinara sauce on the Zuppa pesce had too much garlic. Aside from that the dish was good. I loved the salmon toscana and the flavor of the fagioli. The noodles were over cooked but the flavor was on point. I'd go back to try some new dishes. The restaurant itself was clean and spacious. GET THE SPINACH DIP!!! The best I have ever had ! So creamy and the bacon in it was the razzle dazzle I never knew I needed. BYOB ALERT! Service was super friendly and they were attentive. Asked more questions to ensure what we ordered was going to be to our liking. I got the Stromboli and it was HUGE! I could only eat half as it was filled with so much meat, cheese, and veggies! It was amazing service despite it being Mother's Day. They brought us a special plate for the baby. I ordered the eggplant Parmesan and my husband ordered a calzone which was good. They serve the sauce on the side. The eggplant Parmesans breeding seemed greedy and didn't have a flavorful taste. Maybe this is not the dish you get if you go here. This was my 1st time trying the Cafe Sicilia menu. I was really excited to try their food as they had real dishes, not just bastardized American versions. I do love a great linguine with clam sauce and is usually the 1st item I'll order when trying a new place. Not sure what happened but they squeezed so much lemon juice over the dish that lemon was the only flavor coming through. Unfortunately I had ordered carry-out so was unable to send the dish back. Went here for my daughter's birthday, this place looks really nice and feels old school, really good date spot. We got the garlic bread with cheese and mozzarella sticks to start. The mozzarella sticks were good but the cheese bread was amazing. We got seafood fettuccine and a Philly cheesesteak. The pasta was one of the best I've ever had and had good amounts of seafood. The cheesesteak was okay but didn't love it. The service was a bit slow, which was weird because it wasn't busy at all. I'd still go back though. read more

The calzone was good but the ricotta was a little over powering. My friend warned me that Italian in Texas isn't very good, but I was craving Italian. They first bring bread with a generous amount of melted garlic butter on top. I'm an Italian food snob, I have high expectations. It was my first time so I went basic. Angel hair with meat sauce with a side of Alfredo, and a toss salad. I will return to try other entrée's, I view this spot as fast food Italian. I ordered Togo and wasn't given any utensils to eat with, shame or butter for the bread. The complimentary bread is bland but soft. You will need butter/oil/sauce to dip it in to zhuzh it up. The sauces had a familiar taste compared to other chains, but this place was better. It was tasty but nothing to be over the moon about. The salad is very basic if you like that for $2... lettuce and tomatoes oh my, I was hard pressed to find a carrot. A new place in Grand Prairie. We walked right in and we're seated immediately (we got to choose where to sit). Service was great as the wait staff was attentive. Atmosphere is okay. It is BYOB. The food was soso. The pizzas were good. The zuppa de pesce was not what we were thinking. The sauce was too thick and chunky. The baked pastas were good; it's customizable so you can choose which baked pastas you want. It's good for a quick fix but we'd probably drive a little further to our usual spot next time. read more
