My husband and I dined in at Coco Shrimp in Mansfield this past weekend, and it was absolutely amazing. The food truly exceeded our expectations. My husband ordered the sampler, which was a great choice because he got to try three different types of shrimp, and I went with the butter garlic shrimp. Everything came out hot, fresh, and perfectly cooked. The flavors were incredible...honestly some of the best shrimp we've had. The atmosphere is low-lit with a rustic feel, which we really enjoyed. They were definitely busy, with a steady flow of customers and DoorDash pickups, but that just speaks to how popular they are. The only small downside was that the tables needed a little attention and we ended up bussing ours ourselves, but it wasn't a big deal considering how great everything else was. Prices are very reasonable too. Our meals were around $12-$14 each, and for two meals and drinks we spent about $30, which felt like a great value for the quality. We'll definitely be back. I was so impressed I'm already thinking about how to recreate the butter garlic shrimp at home just so I can enjoy it more often! Highly recommend! read more

First things first, get here ASAP! Yes it's that yummy!!! I decided to give this place a try on a late Wednesday evening. The crowd was minimal but the parking lot was super full. Maybe it's because of the many other businesses in the area. It is a large parking lot but depending on the hour you might find parking difficult and it's a huge parking area. So be ready. I went over other reviews and had a general idea of what to order once I arrived. Thank goodness I did because there were many first timers standing around attempting to figure out how or what to order. I decided to get a sampler plate which comes with a choice of 3 types of shrimp, rice and salad. I went with coco shrimp, garlic butter shrimp and sweet and spicy shrimp. The butter garlic was my least favorite but it was still tasty. I added avocado and toasted coconut flakes and what a treat! They also offer two dressings for the salad, poppyseed and sesame. I got both because why only one if you can't decide. Lol After placing your order there are many options for seating which included the main dining area, an upstairs area as well as an outside patio on warmer days. I didn't notice any heaters so there weren't any guests seated there. I sat in the main dining area and waited for my order to be prepared. They take your number when you order so you will receive a text when the order is done and they also call out your name to deliver the order to you if you're seated to dine in. This was really a great first experience and I can't wait to get back here to try other menu items. If you are allergic to shellfish then this probably won't work because I don't think they offer any other source of protein. However, the rice and salad are so very good you might enjoy that just as much. I don't think anyone will be disappointed dining here so give it a try. read more

I was immediately intruded by the signage, and I honestly thought it was more of a formal dining experience, maybe with a variety of seafood dishes, but when I stepped inside I soon found the vibe was way more chill This is a chain located mostly in the North Texas area, but it is branching out. They not only specialize in shrimp... that's pretty much all they prepare. Luckily, I love shrimp. The menu it's the slightest bit overwhelming. There's coco shrimp, garlic butter shrimp, spicy shrimp, lemon herb shrimp, and shrimp tacos. Other than the tacos you get your shrimp served on a buttery hearty portion of rice, and paired with a fresh salad. The salad has craisins in it, which are a delightful addition. There's only a couple dressings to choose from but they're both fresh and delicious (ginger vs. poppy seed) There are a couple add ones like avocado, gilled pineapple, coconut flakes, and ground macadamia. You can also get the rice or salad à la carte. There's a kids meal, a dessert option, and plenty of soft drinks to choose from. I don't believe they serve alcoholic drinks I like that they stuck to their core competencies of .... Shrimp. But I also wish they had something for those who don't like shrimp, but more importantly for those who can't have shrimp. My mom is allergic to shrimp. She would love to have it, but can't. She could have stayed at home which wouldn't have been fun, but she opted to have rice and salad and watch us eat shrimp (also not fun). She's also allergic to avocado (one of the add-ons). I think having one chicken option would be really inclusive The service was great! Everyone was friendly and efficient. We sat down and our meal was brought out to us The restaurant gives a surfer vibe for sure. I love Hawaii and this vibe really resonated with me. There's surfing and oceanic imagery on there, surfing posters, surf boards, live plants, exposed wooden beams, and just a fun vibe to this place. You can purchase colorful merch like a hat or shirt at the froth (I bought a shirt) There's plenty of parking. There's seating upstairs, downstairs, and on a covered patio Some tips: Coco shrimp dos have a loyalty program where you can earn points for dining with them. It's not easy to sign up online, but the individual at the register and add you with a name and phone number. In reference to my first review, thank you for your response. The next visit was significantly better, with a noticeable improvement in customer service. With Coco Shrimp being close to work, I visit a bit more often than before. When placing my order online, I really like the setup. I didn't realize we were able to customize the portions between the salad and rice, which set well with me. I found I was throwing away the majority of my rice, but I wished I had more salad. Now, I can eliminate the rice and get only salad and shrimp, or a little rice with more salad. Also, I love the option of being able to have them separately plated. I think it would be awesome if they offered a shrimp salad, which would be a regular order for me. Their shrimp is always cooked perfectly, and I love cutting it up and adding it to the salad. If they had a salad with your typical additions (tomatoes, red onions, etc), it would be perfect. The poppy dressing always brings it all together. I don't know if they bottle it; if not, they should really consider it. I'd buy a bottle or two! read more

Finally came here after hearing my bro brag about this location when I visit Mansfield. They have quick and fast service. We got 2 plates of shrimp sampler with all their flavor. Their shrimp is good and well seasoned. Their rice is fluffy and yummy. I like their food. However, I do wish they have more shrimp than just 3 of each flavor. There is a bunch of rice and not enough shrimp for roughly $16 per plate. The other downside of the spot is the restroom. I felt very vulnerable when I was using the women bathroom since there is only 1 bathroom for women with the sliding door, which when you walk out is facing the hallway. I wish they have the locked, thicker door instead of a sliding door. Other than that, this is a good spot for food. The spot itself is also very clean. read more

I've heard about this place before I needed something quick to eat for lunch. Ordered it online and before I can get in my car, I got a text message saying the food was ready. I got the cocoa shrimp tacos as is I didn't make any changes or a substitutions. The tacos were bomb. The tacos were very good. No complaints!! I even bought four more to eat for dinner. We usually go to the Coco Shrimp in Fort Worth, so when we heard that this one is open in Mansfield we decided to try it out. The location has a lot of seating upstairs downstairs and also outside. Very crowded. They call out your name when your order is ready, and you also get a text message as well. We went on a Saturday night, and it was kind of hard to find a parking space in this parking lot. Overall, the food was good and filling. Coco Shrimp is our to-go place to get our Hawaiian-style shrimp fix here in DFW, and I can't tell you how ecstatic I am to have a location closer to me! The food here is just as amazing as the Fort Worth location I usually order from. I went with the sweet & spicy shrimp with poppyseed dressing for the salad. Hubby got the sampler with butter garlic, lemon herb, and spicy shrimp. Absolute perfection! On top of that, the staff is friendly, and the service is quick and efficient. I've tried the tacos , the plates with different variety shrimps and I absolutely enjoyed all the selections in flavors, the coco shrimp is my absolute favorite, has coconut flakes it's absolutely perfect. The rice is so good! I can't get over how buttery and delicious it is. Salad is great! Definitely try the sauces , so far I love them all! Let's talk tacos ! The tortilla they come with is soooo good , idk if it's corn or flour tbh and yes I know the difference lol but this texture was different, I loved it , and the shrimp were perfect and so was the slaw on top was banging. Haven't been able to stop coming here since the September opening. I figured it would be good but it's far exceeded my expectations! Everything is delicious. From the variety of shrimp, to the flavorful and well portioned buttered rice, and the salad with my go to cilantro lime dressing. So excited we have a Coco Shrimp in Mansfield. I do hope the kitchen gets better at filling orders accurately. Once your home with your to go dinner there's nothing you can do to fix errors. One of the BEST things is the ginger dressing. I had a very watery container and one as it is at the Ft. Worth location (thicker). I know they'll get it all straighter out. The garlic was over salty, but the lemon was perfect! The tacos were also very tasty. The butterflied sweet/spicy were well cooked, but a little confusing on the actual flavor.
