I stopped here on my way from forth worth yesterday. I forgot I reviewed them previously and rated them a one star previously. I decided to give them another chance. It was even worse. Ordered the shrimp and oysters fried and French fries . I explained to them that last order was old and cold . I picked my order up and headed home to eat it . Wow it was even worse. Salty and oh my goodness horrible . I called the manager and was told she was aware that the frying batter was salty. I asked what the return policy was if there were options and was told she couldn't do anything about it. I asked so you are telling me that sorry for me but you're going to do nothing after talking with her she finally showed some respect. I came in Sunday after church and brought the food and it was a complete mess the young lady at the counter was very rude why are talking with me like this. I just want an option . She told me she was busy and didn't have time to talk or deal with me . Wow . She was acting as if I stole the food. It was offensive and demeaning. I can only tell you this isn't a good place. Really bad service at this location. I called in an order around 12 PM and went inside after 20 mins to go pick it up. There was a customer sitting at the bar, other than that, no customers. I stood at the counter for 8 mins, I made eye contact with several employees but not a single time was I approached or even greeted. I went to the bar to ask the bartender if she could help me, and she told me to keep waiting where I had been waiting. I then realized that I hadn't spent any money there yet, and left. I have nothing bad to say about this place. First off, it was a DoorDash order so I can't specify the cleanliness of the interior but the food was on point!!! I ordered the fried shrimp combo (add $2 if you want the large). The combo came with 8 shrimp and fries, 2 hush puppies, tartar sauce and cocktail sauce. No drink drinks are extra. **One Star: A Complete Disaster** Where do I even begin with this trainwreck of an experience? First off, the place *looked* clean enough when we walked in, but there was this overpowering musky odor in the air--definitely *not* the familiar smell of seafood. I'm not sure what it was, but it was enough to make you second guess whether you even wanted to eat there. Things went downhill fast when one of my coworkers asked for extra sauce. Apparently, this set off the manager, who had the personality of a wet napkin. He scowled and made some sarcastic remark like, "Well if we put any more sauce, it'll be swimming in it, and you don't want that." My coworker insisted, explaining that her last dish was dry, and he begrudgingly agreed. The result? He didn't just add some sauce. No, he made sure her dish was absolutely *swimming* in it. Then, moments later, some girl from behind the counter came over with a *styrofoam cup* full of even more sauce, saying, "We just wanted to make sure you had enough." Really? It felt more like a slap in the face for asking for something as simple as extra sauce. And the sauce itself was horrendous--creamy, overly spiced, and just disgusting. It was like they just dumped a bunch of Cajun seasoning in cream and called it a day. I ordered two clusters of crab legs, and if the $8.99 price tag didn't warn me enough, the sad, shriveled crab legs themselves should've. These were probably the most pitiful, emaciated crab legs I've ever seen. They were boiled to death, and the tiny claws that had already cracked before they went in the water made it impossible to eat the meat. There was zero flavor, except for a vague aftertaste of whatever "Slap Ya Mama" seasoning they tossed on there. But wait--there's more! The absolute cherry on top of this entire nightmare was the manager's meltdown over a *dog*. Yes, a woman walked in with a golden retriever, and while the dog was obviously not a service animal (I mean, come on, the dog looked like it had just come from the dog park), my coworker, being a dog lover, asked if she could pet it while waiting for her food. The dog owner agreed, and the next thing we know, this manager comes charging out of the back like we just set the place on fire, screaming, "NO NO STOP YOU CAN'T DO THAT!" Apparently, this genius thought you couldn't pet any dogs indoors because of food codes (whatever that means). My coworker, clearly embarrassed, sat down, and moments later, this guy came back with a half-hearted apology about how only service dogs and ESAs are allowed indoors and they can't be petted. At this point, I'd had enough. I pointed out to him that emotional support animals (ESAs) aren't held to the same standards as service animals and that he could've just asked the owner what the dog was trained for, but of course, he insisted I was wrong and tried to lecture me about laws he clearly didn't understand. I gave up at that point because it was obvious I was dealing with someone who was more concerned about being "right" than actually knowing what they were talking about. To sum up: disgusting food, an unpleasant atmosphere, and the absolute worst service I've encountered in a long time. Do yourself a favor--skip this place, save your money, and your tastebuds. My husband enjoys the catfish and fried shrimp meal, but that is the only thing here that is worth eating - everything else is bland. I've tried a few of the po' boy sandwiches and every time I remember why I wasn't dying for the next time - they're just average at best. My son had the Cajun shrimp pasta which tasted like no seasoning other than a sprinkle of Cajun. It's not worth the money to eat here unless you prefer bland food. Disclaimer - I do not wish ill on this business. My husband will still get the catfish on occasion, but I feel it's important to know details about flavor when you're trying new places and will not get food from here again. I used to love this place, now there is new crew of cashiers who are fake friendly and get irate with customers if THE CASHIER makes a mistake. They blame you even if you are polite to them. On a separate occasion, I witnessed an older lady politely ask a cashier how much longer of a wait would it be because she had waited over 40 minutes for her order. The cashier rudely said..."so do you just want a refund" and became argumentive with the woman who was being nice. The last straw for me was when a cashier messed up another order of mine and when I took it back to the store, the cashier rudely told me that's what I had ordered on the phone. The item was something that I didn't even eat (even if they gave it to me for free). Why not assume that you heard the order wrong due to noise in the background or whatever, why be rude? Another thing is they should have a better system for people who oreder via the phone because when you do get to the store, you have to wait in a long line if they are busy and by the time you actually get to the cashier, your food is cold. There is no second line or a sign for a pickup orders for customers to advance to if they have already ordered. Now, I am choosing to no longer go to this place because I just can't take the bad attitudes and leaving upset. I want to have a pleasurable experience when I pay this amount of money for food. So thankful that my friend agreed to come here. Now, I can fill you in on some things. For starters, The Catch was not a catch. Lol. The service was good but the food was dry and tasteless. Fast-food style ordering, menu is above & around the cashier, you seat yourself, they bring the food to you. The food was NOT really Cajun/Louisiana style, as I expected. My grilled white fish was ok, mostly salt & pepper, didn't have that Cajun flavor/seasoning that I expected. The popcorn shrimps were pretty good, again not the expected cajun flavor. The shrimp etouffe was more like stir-fry shrimp with salt, pepper, & bell pepper, doesn't have that Louisiana roux sauce, but it wasn't bad. The fries were good. They DON'T ALWAYS HAVE OYSTERS, so call first before planning to go there for oysters. The service was a bit disorganized. One person in was told that beer was going to be delivered to the table, just to find that it was sitting on the counter for a while. Then, when she asked about a missing side that's supposed to be included with the meal, a waitress insisted that she wasn't charged for that side (although the menu clearly states that meals come with 2 sides), until a manager stepped in. Let me start with the service and food- Lori was a great bartender / waitress. She acknowledged she was new and still figuring things out- she was busy and she did great. Food was delicious, salad was fresh and fish was freshly cooked and delicious. Now the upsetting part- after paying for my check and signing the receipt, these slime balls added an additional 3.5% to my final receipt... when asked- they say it's a credit card usage fee- why not tell me that upfront... don't be sneaky and a jack-bird. I always leave a good decent tip which rounds up my total--- instead of $26.49- I rounded up to include a $5.51 tip for total of $32.00 (21% tip calculation. I don't need you to then add 3.5% ($1.12) to what I've already paid without my knowledge after the bill is paid. this was straight shady... they call this an non-cash adjustment- don't adjust jack squat without telling me first. I would've paid cash and avoided your bull-corn adjustment... it's a small amount but tell me- be straight, be upfront and honest... I know- that's a lot to ask in 2023. My wife and I visited this establishment for the first time yesterday and had a pleasant experience. Food was great, service was even better, thank you Jayley! We ordered at the front, then the young lady brought our food out, and asked if she could get us anything else. When I explained that I had completely forgotten to ask the young man we ordered from to add a couple of extra sauces to our order, she quickly assured us it was not a problem and that she would bring them out to us. She was very polite and always had a smile on her face, even checking on us again to ensure we were happy with our meals. My wife said she could tell that she enjoyed her job and I agree, It was delightful to see younger people really taking pride in their work! I ordered the shrimp and catfish basket which came with french fries and 2 hush puppies, it was delicious and not a bad price either! The catch is a large company but it drives me nuts they do not invest in their locations systems my example, their phones are always busy, some locations phone numbers don't work and there is no online order system that works. I would order lunch today but they did not answer the phone. And the web link for online sux. Management needs to get their order systems upgrades and working with OpenTable and uber eats and all order formats! But if you're close by one of their many locations definitely worth a visit! I was super excited about this spot opening up in an area that has otherwise seen several establishments give it a shot over the past couple of years to no avail. Unfortunately, I feel like this one may suffer the same fate. The seafood here seems totally overpriced to me for the quality and portions. It is perfectly average in terms of flavor and menu options but sometimes your food doesn't come fresh, sometimes you get less pieces of certain items and it just leaves a bad taste in your mouth when there are other options (like Pappadeaux) less than 20 minutes away where you can expect some more consistency and generous platters. The parking lot and patio still seem pretty full when I drive by so things may have changed since my last visit but I likely will not return. read more

Have you ever tasted food from New Orleans? This tastes nothing like that. The only reason this review gets 3 stars is because the charbroiled oysters and fried shrimp were amazing. They were absolutely delicious. What was not delicious was everything else. We ordered a lot of things incluing: Shrimp etouffee- I couldn't even get through 25% of it because it was that terrible. Half and Half- the fried shrimp portion of this meal was great but the other half was etouffee so that ruined this. I were quite disappointed in the meal. 1st time here and we read the reviews and were expecting so much more, but it kind of all fell flat. I ordered the Shrimp Half Half; which came with an order of shrimp etouffee and either fried or grilled shrimp. I was given a choice of two sides, got fries and the cheesy grits. Fries are fries, the grits were ok, not very cheesy and a very salty. 2/5 We also got a cup of the clam chowder. My wifes initial reaction was that it was very salty and not in the good seafood way. 1/5 My wife also got a half pound of shrimp and pound of crawfish boil. The shrimp tasted as if it was just boiled in plain tap water, no flavor whatsoever. The crawfish on the other hand had more flavor and spice. The amount of shrimp also did not look like it was half a pound, looked closer to a quarter. 2/5 We also got an order of the fried oysters. Theres not much flavor to them, thats all my wife wanted to say about that. 1/5 All in all, this place is just ok, I'm sure there are plenty of people that enjoy this based on the reviews, we possibly have gotten food on a bad night for trhe cook? First time at this establishment, we were craving for seafood. This place it's like walking to a Whataburger, you order and pay and get a number, you get your own fountain drink, choose a place to eat, sit and wait for food to arrive. We were so hungry that we ordered appetizers. Unfortunately all food comes together, no appetizer ahead of your main dish. First things first: For the Appetizer we ordered a cup of Shrimp Etouffee, and a cup of Shrimp crawfish and sausage gumbo. The Shrimp Etouffee was fine(plenty of shrimp in it), the gumbo on the other hand was too watery, a little salty, and "Black", (like a bowl of black beans). I never had black gumbo. I read that if you overcook the okra or cook on cast iron, it can happen. It had white rice, okra, and maybe 4 pieces of shrimp or crawfish. The shrimp and grits, the instant grits were good, tasty, buttery, lightly cheesy, the grilled shrimp were just added on top, but they were good and tasty. The green beans, sadly were salty and I could taste "the metal can", they had a bunch of small chunks of smoked ham, maybe too much, that could have made them overly salty. The cole slaw was good, just the way I like it, crunchy and a little sweet (similar to KFC) The Fried Oysters Po'Boy was done right. I stood at the counter waiting for 12 minutes before I was greeted by the young dirty blonde employee with bangs and purple painted finger nails who had been standing near the bar vaping in a blue vape and scrolling on her cell phone.
