I went with my best friend because she wanted crab legs. And I got the seafood basket with fried catfish, shrimp and hush puppies. My friend loved her crab legs. She devoured as much as she could, and then took the rest home. She said it was almost as good as New Orleans... but she really loved Home. I enjoyed the catfish. The shrimp was pretty good. We waited in line for about 20-30 minutes standing, until we were seated. Once seated, service was decently fast. Some of our mussels were still shut, and were provided another batch that was better. It was good, but overpriced for the amount of food we got. $169.00 for 3 orders of garlic noodles, 5 wing basket, 2 orders of claw clusters (2 in each bag) they were 39.99 ea., a catfish and shrimp basket and about 4 sauces on the side (separate and 2.00 ea). The clusters were small. I initially voiced my displeasure inside the restaurant and the manager came to explain that those tiny clusters of 5 legs each was their standard. Noted Nothing special about the fries, average in size and flavor. We added one corn and potatoes to each cluster. 1.75 for each piece of corn and then each bag had one average size and two teeny potatoes. I think the best value for Red Claws now will be the all you can eat in Dallas. Our splurge meals will be home cooked with these prices skyrocketing to the moon and beyond. That was my last visit. I been here several times and I can say I will be back many more times in the future. This restaurant has two locations, this one and one in Dallas. There is always a line out the door during peak hours but is totally worth it. I always call my orders over the phone during busy times so I don't have to wait in line to place my order and then spend another 30 min waiting for my food to be made. The restaurant is very organized when it comes to people coming in for dine-in as well as take-out. They are following CDC safety guidelines and making people wear masks when entering the restaurant. Once seated down at a table customers are able to remove their face masks to enjoy their meal. Last time I dined in I had the combo bucket 1 with their most popular flavor RC kick. I also order the fried pickles and a fountain drink. I really love the amount of flavor and level of spice my combo bucket had. It was spicy enough that keeps me wanting to eat it and at the same time, I keep going back to my drink to cool myself down to keep on eating haha. The combo only came with one sausage, corn, and potatoes; you can order more but they are extra so make sure you are not sharing your bucket if those are some of the things you like about the seafood boil. The fried pickles were honestly ok, they did not wow me. Whatever batter they used for them could use more kick to it and make the breeding thicker but that's just my personal preference. I also did not like the ranch they gave me with my pickles, it was really watery and they only gave me one. After I was seated I never had a waiter come around my table to ask if I needed a refill. I found out if you want a refill you need to go up to the bar area and ask for a refill. They will give you a new cup with a refill due to the pandemic. I'm not the biggest fan of this place. The food itself was great! Solid boil. The main complaint I have is the ambiance/setup of the whole experience. I see that some other people have outlined the process in other reviews so I won't drone on too much but basically part of the experience of seafood that I enjoy is being served and sitting and enjoying my food and this restaurant is just super labor intensive. However, the sausage wasn't good. It had been sitting in the bag of sauce but somehow managed to have no flavor. The catfish and shrimp? Cooked perfectly with no flavor. It's as if there was no seasoning added. The highlight was the hush puppies. Those were delicious. Another thing to mention is that you have to order and pay as soon as you arrive. I assume they've had issues with people who dine and dash. It's not necessarily a big deal, but not something I've experienced at other establishments like Shell Shack or Tasty Tails.
