We schedule for him to come out the next day to program my keys. Next day Josh the store owner comes over and tries to program my fobs again. No luck and states that his system needs upgrading and he will be back tomorrow. Josh now clears all functions for 1 fob. Next day I'm waiting for Josh to show up. Waiting, waiting, waiting, No call no text message no show. One day passes no call no show no text message! I GOT SCAMMED and by the owner of this Batteries Plus store! The employee told me they were backed up and wouldn't be able to diagnose it this week unless I signed up for their membership, which would move me to the front of the line. I told him I wasn't interested in a membership. He then said it would cost $165 for a diagnosis. I pointed out that their website states diagnostics are free, but he ignored my question and continued trying to sell me their $39/month membership. After I declined again, he explained that the $165 diagnostic fee would be applied toward the repair. I asked what would happen if the repair only cost $50--would I receive the remaining balance back? He said no. He then suggested that if I signed up for the membership and kept it for a minimum of two months, I would receive a discount on the diagnostic fee. At that point, something didn't feel right, so I decided to leave without having them service my console. I then took the same Xbox to the uBreakiFix on Harbor Boulevard. The employee there told me they would inspect the system, call me with an estimate if repairs were needed, and that there would be no charge unless I approved the repair. Based on my experience, I would avoid the Bristol Street location and take your business elsewhere. Go to the Harbor Boulevard location

I've bought vehicle batteries from BP in the past in Costa Mesa and been happy…read more So I bought an Optima battery here in December 25 had to wait till mid January for them to get it. I installed and went on with life. All of a sudden it's drained. I get back to the store. The guy tests and says it's not the battery, it's the alternator. So I go to a mechanic with ACTUAL alternator testing capabilities and told NOTHING wrong with it. So $300 for a new battery and install. NOW because Batteries Plus won't refund only replace. Now days later I have to go back a 3rd time, WAITING for them to get another battery, leaving mine there. So now I have to store a backup battery I DON'T NEED. They left me stranded and HAD to buy a new one else where. NO REFUND just replace? Very disappointed. Seriously managed to not swear. I do plan on calling corporate because this is totally based on a wrong diagnosis by the guy at 17th st Santa ana store. NEVER AGAIN!!!
