I made an appointment to upgrade my phone today and the lady who "helped" us - her name was Verna i believe - was extremely short, u helpful and ultimately screwed us over. Once she realized i wasn't going to do the 40.00 activation in her store and decided to do it via my cell - she purposely chose delivery vs pickup knowing full well i needed the phone the same day. Now im on the phone with Verizon over 1 hour to get the in store purchase removed and trying to get it done right. Staff: The people here are nice but that isn't enough when there is an absolute and complete breakdown of service. We were helped by a Cynthia. Later we were assisted by Yessie (manager). Experience: Originally I messaged Verizon via their chat feature and was promised the ability to get 4 free phones, waiving of $35 activation fee for each phone, and $200 Visa card. Boy do I wish I stayed on their website with the actual Verizon not a licensed retailer. Came in with the intent of switching over to Verizon with 4 lines. Day 1 - I left with 2 phones and a ton of accessories. How long was this visit you ask? Well, day 1 was 4 hours. Yes, 4 hours. How this is possible, I still don't know. Cythnia hand wrote out some numbers showing if we traded in certain phones it would be x amount and that accessories "were included". Anyone in the world considers "included" to mean free. This is not debatable or open for dispute of this universally understood term. But wait this matters later in my review. They did not have 2 of the phones in the color we wanted, so they ended up giving us 2 phones, and ordering the other 2. Paid a little over $400. This was on a Saturday and we were told the other 2 phones were "ready to ship" so they would be there likely on Tuesday/Wednesday and they would call. No calls ever came, so I called the real Verizon. They said they would have the store call us. No one called. Called Verizon again and they said someone would call us, but again no one called. Not wanting to go all the way there and the phone not be there, I called Verizon again who said the phones were in. I went back to the store and ask me how long this visit took. It was 2 hours this time, yes not a typo here, it was 2 hours. Paid another $250, not really knowing what I paid for, but I was trusting of this whole thing. We asked for an invoice for both payments as nothing was ever given to us during either visit. At home we review the invoice and to our surprise find that we were charged $540 for the accessories that were "included". Now at this point we are quite surprised and contact Verizon again to share our concerns. They said they would make a one time exception to allow the return of all accessories, including the tempered glass already installed on 2 of the phones, and the cases which one we no longer had the box for. 3rd time back to the store and we work with Yessie. After 1 hour (now a total of 8 hours) for 3 visits to this store, she is attempting to explain how we were charged. Mind you we are two college educated professionals, which deal with highly complex matters in our respective jobs, yet their pricing structure makes absolutely no sense. We were told that if we returned the accessories the price would go up. They would take away a promo which would charge us $250 more. No matter how many times she tried to explain, there is no way they can defend a return of accessories that punishes the customer by charging them $250. Before coming I purchased all accessories that we needed for $95 on Amazon by respected brands. This is compared to the $540 we were charged earlier but were told was "included". Not wanting to spend the 9th hour in this store, we decided to leave, and handle with the real Verizon. The manager, "Yessie" said she would have her District manager call me due to my concerns, but guess what...... no one ever called AGAIN. In closing: This was single handedly the worst experience I have ever had dealing with any company. As you can see my reviews are very much supportive and fair of businesses but this one was just too painful of an experience. I don't know if it is a training matter with the representative or a sales tactic, we will never know. However, I do know that I have no plans of returning to this store in the future. read more

I came into the Verizon store at the Irvine Spectrum just to inquire about switching after being with AT&T for over 15 years. I've always felt that upgrading phones let alone changing carriers was a hassle, so I truly wasn't planning on making a move that day. I had three lines with AT&T and another with T-Mobile and was only exploring options to possibly combine them and upgrade our iPhones. From the moment I walked in that morning, Alden Martinez's customer service immediately put me at ease. He was knowledgeable, patient, and never pushy, which made me feel comfortable actually making the switch. Even though I hate the traffic and usually avoid that shopping center, I came back later that night with all four phones and Alden made the entire process painless. He was extremely knowledgeable about Verizon's programs and promotions and explained everything clearly. For once, I felt confident and stress-free during a carrier change. I still need to go back to pick up my Apple Watch (which he also convinced me to get), and I'm actually looking forward to working with him again. What really stood out was his follow-up. Alden called me afterward and helped resolve issues AT&T was giving me during the switch. He handled everything professionally and went above and beyond. Sophia at the Irvine Spectrum is a rockstar!! A different Verizon store in San Diego elected to not help my wife with dropping a few iPhone watch lines and told her to call a 1-800 number to handle. We were in Irvine for a basketball tournament and needed to get a new phone. We told Sophia our situation and she did everything we asked for and more. She was very professional, knowledgeable, and helpful during the whole process. She was communicative and went above & beyond to do what the other store wouldn't do. Stay away from the "we'll pay off your phone" pitch. We came in looking to switch, and the salesman promised Verizon would handle our T-Mobile balance. Total lie. After digging into the fine print, they don't pay anything off, YOU have to pay your old carrier yourself, then fight Verizon for 8+ weeks to get a digital gift card (not even cash). They lock you into a 36-month contract through device credits, meaning if you leave, you're stuck with a massive bill. The lack of transparency here is predatory. Go elsewhere if you value honesty. read more

The Gentlemen that helped me with my upgrade request, clearly seemed bothered when I walked into his totally empty store. He checked my upgrade availability. Initially he misquoted my available upgrade rebate which, candidly, would have been acceptable to me. However, he then quoted a rebate $200 lower. I explained I have been a Verizon customer for 30 years and ATT was offering free phones for my entire family to switch. To which he told me I was free to go to AT&T. Sorry situation when Verizon's loyalty is greater for customers they don't have then for customers who've been with them since literally the beginning. read more

My wife and I were recently at the Irvine Spectrum Mall and I stepped into the Verizon store in the mall to ask a couple of questions regarding our Verizon plan. I spoke with Sofia and she patiently answered all of my questions in words that I could understand. She even took the time to navigate me through the My Verizon app as one of my questions directly involved accessing the app. It is much appreciated when an explanation is given in a way that doesn't make me look stupid for asking such a question. Verizon is very fortunate to have Sofia on their staff. Avoid this store at all costs. I have stopped in 2x in the last 5 months when I was in Irvine visiting my parents. The first time, my husband got a new phone and, despite declining, they added a bunch of perks and services he did not agree to. I had to spend an hour on the phone with Verizon corporate fixing it. The second time (and I should have known better), I got a new phone and not only did they double charge me in the store, but they never applied the trade in promo on my account. So now I'm on the phone w Verizon again trying to fix this. Hours of my life lost to resolving these things. If you call the store, you get a call center so you can't event talk to them. Super difficult when you live out of town. Also, they charge a "set up fee" that can easily be avoided by calling Verizon directly. read more

Cost of the iPhone 17 was more here than on Verizon and Apple Store by $20 for some reason. I called Verizon and they said the iPhone 17 pro 512gb should be $1299. Invoice said "remaining phone balance" $10 when I called to ask what this was since my old phone was all paid off, they told me this was for the deposit for the be phone. Also, when I was there to pick up my new phone they tried to tell me the block, phone case and screen protector were included, but when I asked what the "essentials package" was, they told me it was $150. Not sure how that's considered included when you're actually paying for it. Sad some customers didn't know any better and fell for it. Do yourself a favor and don't come here. You're better off ordering at Verizon online or Apple Store. They also didn't tell me or process any info for my trade in. read more

I walked in the store. There were sales people in the store all with customers. Nobody acknowledged me when I walked in and waited for 10-15 minutes. Once one of them freed up, a gal, she asked what was there for and I told to upgrade and that I was told it was goinf to cost me xxx and she said she if you donut in store and we charges an extra $45 pulse you have to buy a case and screen protector. It was more them double what I was told. She said you can do it online and do it yourself. I left and went to the one on El Toro. Way better experience and they told me that this store is a dealer not an actual Verizon store. This gal failed to tell me this and acted like it was no big deal I was walking out. This was a horrible experience. If you don't care about being treated poorly and then wanting to take more go here. If not go to another Verizon Corporate store. read more

I explained my reason of no longer having an active line with them, but I wanted to pay my remainder balance in full, close to $2000 .. and when I told him I would be charged additional fees for paying over the phone he told me just pay it! And then he walked away and ignored me. So so rude and so unprofessional. You don't realize how much you're dependent on your cell phone until one day you can't access your phone, contacts, or your emails. My husband purchased a new phone from a non-Verizon store and traded in his old phone. As it was close to closing time, the set up for the new phone would be done at home. It should have been a breeze but the verification process was still tied to the old device. He was unable to make calls or access his email. Went back to the store of purchase the next morning and they were unable to assist as they said it was a carrier issue. Luckily, there is a Verizon store at the Irvine Spectrum. Jesse was amazing, professional, and very patient with us. He not only fixed the issue, but was also able to review our plan and bundle which saved us money. Jesse helped me activate my phone. I had bought a new Iphone 16 pro from the Apple Store but I couldn't access my icloud to download my backup onto my new phone. I walked over to Verizon at the Spectrum and Jesse took care of me and got it all sorted out. He also reviewed our Verizon account and suggested a new plan which saved us $30 a month. My sister and I came here last night to remove a line from my plan. When we first arrived, none of the three employees acknowledged us, despite one of them just working on a pick-up order and not actively dealing with any customers. We sat down and waited 10-15 minutes. Eventually, one group went and interrupted a worker and added themselves to a queue. We didn't realize there was a queue?! Apparently this made the staffmember remember they should try to ask us so he started to go around the store and add like 3-4 parties to the line. All-in-all, we waited 1 hour just to be told in less than 5 minutes that the best he can do is to suspend that line's service, and the only way to fully remove it is to call a number. He hands me back this card with a number on it. We wasted an hour to be told that I need to call someone else at Verizon. This definitely left a bad taste in my mouth with the company. read more

Mark is very unprofessional continues to ignore my concerns with my bill and promos they promised and never did and continues to cause my bill to fluctuate and never credited the "free" iPhone when I brought my lines from AT&T, I should have never trusted Verizon. Mark has had excuses and never provides me with info from someone higher up. When I recently went in hoping to finally correct my monthly bill once and for all, the employees were doing the same thing they did to me. Not keep track of the trade in's and that causes chaos. Verizon at the Irvine Spectrum lied and manipulated me during my recent purchase of my iPhone 14. They led me to believe my phone was paid off after I paid in full with cash after the trade in of my old iPhone 13. They instead gave me a credit allowance to force me to finance with them the next 3 years without disclosing it to me. I did not sign anything regarding this finance agreement, yet I am stuck financing a phone with them for the next three years. If I chose to leave to another cell phone company with more integrity I will have to pay over $900 to pay off my phone first. This is their new business strategy to retain people since they cant do contracts anymore!!! When I originally traded my phone in they told me I would receive a $300 credit for my old Iphone 13. I then paid a $900 difference for my new phone 14. 6 months later my bill shows that I have a device payment of ~$50 a month for the next three years. Verizon took my cash and gave me an ~$900 credit for my old phone that only gives a ~$30 allowance monthly for 3 years. If I choose to leave verizon for this terrible business model, I lose the credit they have given me... and the $900 cash value I gave them disappears. Well, it already disappeared anyways because the cashier just took my money and documented my purchase through their scam retainment plan. The receipt online shows I only gave them like $400. I believe the cashier stole my cash deposit for himself and marked me down as financing my phone hoping I wouldn't notice. Ive contacted customer service for this matter 3 times and they keep running me around in circles. The General Manager doesn't even want to call me back because they know they messed up. A lawsuit is coming. Avoid Verizon at all cost. Ive been a loyal customer for over 20 years.... you didn't need to manipulate and lock me in like this. My boyfriend and I went to the Apple store to get his broken phone screen fixed. He declined the loaner phone that the Apple store offered and decided to get a new phone from Verizon to use in the meantime. A new phone costs more upfront, but the loaner phone, which was a different version of the iPhone that he has, did not come with a case or screen protector. You either buy a case and screen protector that you will not need after a week, or you risk being held responsible for any damages to the loaner phone. We went to this Verizon location and told Ashley the situation and that we were looking for the cheapest functional phone. She found two options, presented it to him, and it was smooth sailing from there. Ashley provided us with great service. She was transparent, quick, thoughtful, and personable. It is not a great day after breaking your phone, but Ashley turned it around for us. read more
