I was a bit hesitant at first because the cost seemed high, but I agreed to it. After getting my phone fixed here, there were so many things that went wrong: 1. The brightness was set at max at all times, even when I tried to turn it down 2. My phone began dying at 30% and couldn't hold a charge I took it back a month later to address the brightness issue. This was slightly fixed when he reseated the display, but still wouldn't dim as much as it normally should. This was within warranty so I was not charged for this service. I came back soon after (within 3 months) to get my battery fixed and they refused to help me replace it stating that I had no receipt (which they never provided at the time of transaction, but have my bank statement). They also said that I had to pay for a new battery if I wanted it to be replaced. Even with my inflated battery, I did not have the issue of it holding a charge or dying before it hit 5%. I am very unsatisfied with my service at this repair shop. I did not believe people when they said I should just get my phone fixed at Apple, but after this experience I will definitely not return.

I took my daughters phone in to get the back glass replaced. when we got the phone back and paid, my daughter noticed the screen on/off side button wasn't working anymore. we asked the tech about it, and he just bragged about what a good job he did and how pretty the phone was after repair. we pointed out again that it wasn't working appropriately. rather than try to help us figure out a solution, here are some of the things he told us "I have no proof that it was working before. you must be trying to get me to fix a problem you were already having for free" "if it's really a new problem you can just take it into Verizon and they'll give you a new phone for free because this one is so pretty now" "you are a joke if you think i broke your phone" no ownership or accountability. no willingness to provide any customer service. he got mad very quickly and started accusing me of all sorts of crazy stuff. all I wanted was to have a conversation as to how they might make this right. the next day I called the parent store in Huntington Beach. their recommendation: take it back in and have them take a look at it. they wouldn't give me a price estimate or any concessions that they might try to make it right, other than I would get charged full price for whatever new repairs the phone might need. I am not sinking any more money into this company. im guessing most people have positive results, but if anything at all goes wrong, don't expect any customer service of any sort.

Since my opinion differs from others here, I'll try to convey our experience briefly but with some details: My husband & I were referred to CCC by our Los Angeles car dealership, to add a feature (front sensors) to our newly purchased BMW. What we got from Custom Cellular was a wrecked front bumper, a broken navigation system and a dismissive owner--Bill--telling us that these "problems", "this mess", etc., were the fault of his employee, who had done the work on the car. Bill made it clear that he did not want to deal with the problems his company had created. He was dismissive to borderline rude when we talked to him (all by phone; Bill doesn't appear to do the actual labor), never apologizing after his employee, Charlie, accidentally ran our new car into a sidewalk while testing the newly installed sensors, nor offering us a rental car during the time our bumper needed to be repaired. We gave Bill ample opportunity (a week and a half plus numerous calls with specific requests) to make amends for what his company did to our new car. The most we got was Charlie, the employee, attempting but failing to repair the navigational wiring that he had somehow messed up while installing the front sensors. (ex: when driving in Newport, the navigation system would tell us we were in Mission Viejo.) We ended up taking a car that had left a Los Angeles dealership as a shiny, beautiful new car back to our dealer 3 weeks later to repair a wrecked front and dis-functional wiring.

They activated it and over the next 5 or 10 years I used them to pick up the latest and greatest phones as they advanced and came out. Always a pleasant experience. Fast forward and I hadn't used them in 20 years or so. iPhones came out and I've been a fan ever since....and I buy my phones outright to avoid the contract.....so I hadn't been to Custom Cellular in ages. Then......about a year ago.....I picked up a used satellite phone. I go camping and do some 4 wheeling in some VERY remote areas that have no cell service and if you were to break down......it could be very bad. ie: Death Valley / Mojave Desert areas. So, while searching on sat phone info.....lo and behold...I come across Custom Cellular in my search. So I got back in touch with Bill and got my sat phone set up. And at a deal that was PERFECT for my usage. Saved me a ton of dough. Well, times change and so do rate plans.....( I new it wouldn't last forever) and after a year or so...I was going to let it go as they were going to increase my rate (Globalstar not Custom Cellular) to an amount I couldn't justify. Then after about a month.....I get a call from Bill at Custom Cellular....just reaching out to see what's up and after I explained the situation....he said he'd research it and get back to me. Well, a couple days ago, I get the email......my sat phones be reactivated and with a plan that's within my budget. Great stuff........Thanks Bill.
