I've pretty much given up on the large national chain fast-food places in favor of smaller, local restaurants that serve food a little less processed. So, when my husband walked in with a bag from Culver's one day I just groaned. I admit I had never tried or even heard of them before moving to AZ some years ago and just decided I'd be grateful for the fish sandwich and try it. I'm glad I did. Nicely fried (without alot of grease saturating the box) it was flaky and tasted fresh. Knowing that I was trying to avoid deep-fried foods my husband ordered onion rings only for himself. That was obviously a mistake because I tried "just one" and refused to give up the bag. These were really good. At that point, he wouldn't let me near the Butter Burger for a taste but it looked juicy and fresh. I am lactose intolerant but did take a minute sample of his custard. All in all, I was pleasantly surprised and have returned several times to pick up lunch. Service is polite but slow, even though each item is made to order. It is, however, eventually delivered to your car with a smile. This probably isn't the greatest or healthiest nearby lunch stop, but I will continue to return because the fish sandwich has become my favorite. read more

AWFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE and they don't give you what you order... INTENTIONALLY!... so rude & unprofessional. Went to drive through and ordered food & a strawberry banana concrete mixer. Girls response (in drive through) "well I don't know if we have banana" my husband responds asking if they do and she just responds "I'm not sure!" And proceeds to take the rest of the order. Have us pull through with our number, bring out the concrete mixer only FIRST before the food and say "it's chocolate with strawberry hope that's ok".... ummm we ordered vanilla with banana and strawberry so no it's not ok... but they were so rushed and rude we didn't get to have a say apparently... Then proceed to wait for the food while the mixer melts away in the 115* heat. Food was cold, mixer was melted and service was awful. I love Culvers concrete mixers; they are super creamy and smooth! I'm my opinion, they are better than Dairy Queen blizzards. I've never tried anything else on the Culvers menu and likely wouldn't only because I don't care for fast food. I like that they bring your food to your table so you don't have to wait at the counter. The only issue I've experienced was when ordering. My husband ordered a large mixer and I ordered a medium mixer. We could see that the cashier rang up two of the same size. When we pointed that out, the cashier said they don't really have medium and large sizes. So we had to re-word our choices to say I wanted the middle size and my husband wanted the largest size. Apparently they use different labels for medium and large. That was annoying. It's a fast food place, so I guess you just can't have high expectations from the cashiers. read more

I will never eat at Culver's again. This location has screwed up my order the last several times I've gone there. My family likes it, so I've reluctantly returned, but tonight was the final straw. Charged us the wrong amount. Gave us the wrong order. Fixed it, but didn't notice until we got home that the order was still wrong. They just don't give a crap. The young gentleman in the drive thru tonight was such a breath of fresh air. Delightful and my order once we got home was exact (it hasn't been right for a very long time) it's a hit or miss and check your bag kinda thing. He was so proud over getting a raise today. Whomever from the leadership team recognized this young gentleman's ability for providing the best customer experience got it right. Went to Culver's on Cave Creek last night. The area where the drink, napkins, etc. was a dirty mess. There wasn't any cups to put your ketchup in. I went up to the cashiers and told them twice. When we received our food there was still nothing to put the ketchup in. Again, I went and said something. This time they gave me a few ketchup packets. When we were done eating I went back to the counter to order one scoop of ice cream. After waiting 15 minutes for the one scoop of ice cream went back to the counter and asked about it. After another 10 minutes I finally got my one scoop of ice cream. Totally ridiculous!!! Its not like it was lunch or dinner hour, it was 7:30 in the evening. Before leaving I went to the restroom which was also a mess. I would've given less stars but the food was good. read more

I walk in the place (hella musty) but then i am confronted by the worker (very nice but hella strange) starts talking to me about how he's making money but wishes he was playing warzone. (no joke) The music is subpar, but not bad. there is a little bit of trash around the place my issue with the atmosphere is it is really dark. I get served my food, say thank you twice, no response. Kinda ruins my mood. The real mood ruiner is the lack of top bun. smh. No one offered to bring me ketchup and when i went to get some myself 2 of the dispensers had no ketchup. chicken = mid burger = mid fries = pretty fucking comp no cap. Now there are 15 people in line when i am trying to get some delicious soft serve. Lines too long sat back down. Overall i see why it is a 2.5 stars. mid/10 read more

Been to numerous Culver's in SD, KY, TX. This one is our favorite. Almost every Wednesday evening we have a relaxing family meal. Great service during the plague. Keep in mind they offer meals and dinners, not just burgers and chicken. So they are a little slower than McD's but the food quality is higher. Enjoy! read more

I would actually say about 3.5 ... But since they did a fundraiser for my son's school, I bumped them up. The good: selection! I had a cod sandwich, big and juicy, could have done without the cheese and it needed more tarter. It was a large, full piece if fish. The onion rings - large, I would consider the breading 'medium' thickness. I love onion rings, and these are better than any other fast food joint. The negatives: my son got the bacon burger, thin and dry. French fries sucked. Now this place is suppose to have good ice cream - and if you know me - you know I eat ice cream almost daily. I have say - average. In fact, I think I would prefer DQ, especially for the price. Finally - this place is expensive for fast food. Bacon burger, fries, softdrink, cod sandwich and onion rings - $14.00...I think I can find healthier options for about the same price and speed. read more

Make the drive to a different store. This store happens to be the closest to our house. We have tried to go to this store several times thinking they were just having a bad day. But it is the store. Service is bad, food was ehh. We had issues, asked to talk to a crew leader. He just stood there. Only offered to get some sauce. I asked to speak to a manager, it wasn't until we walked out the store did we see her. The manager at least listened and tried to make things right. That was last night. Completed survey today. The owner apparently not interested. Told me to go to a different store. Said what he wanted I hardly got 10 words in an the owner, George, hung up on me. Easy to see why no customer service. Attitude for the store starts at the top and it is apparent this owner doesn't care or is so arrogant to think he knows it all. Too bad. This is not typical of Culver's. read more

what a cute place. The butter burgers are made to order and melted in my mouth. I am definitely a fan of the Wisconsin cheese curds. The malt milkshake was a little on the heavy side and hard to drink but otherwise good, not great or outstanding though. You place your order at the counter and they bring it to you when it's ready. They also have a drive thru which I haven't tried yet so I don't know how quick that might be. I do intend to go again for an inexpensive meal that is cooked right. read more

THIS PLACE IS AWFUL. I literally am in Awe of how much this place sucks and how awful every employee I have crossed paths with is. Went here Friday and waited OVER 30 MINUTES in line for a damn milkshake. I can't tell you how many people drove away, went inside to see what is taking so freaking long and yelled out their window at the workers passing by because the drive thru didn't move for 42 minutes. Not one car!!!! Thought I would give them the benefit of the doubt and tried again today cause my son wanted chicken and shrimp. Get home and YOU FORGOT THE CHICKEN I PAID FOR. IDIOTS WORK HERE. Food was good, only problem was we specially asked for both burgers to be singles and instead got one double & one single? The order wasn't read back at the window so I didn't realize until our food arrived. Also, why does Culvers refuse to give ketchup with fries automatically? Chances are if your drive thru person doesn't ask, it gets missed as did ours. Just frustrating small issues that makes me question how closely managers/store managers manages their employees. When I would drive by and see the long drive thru line I would always think wow the food must be so good here. If I could give this place zero stars I would. The service at this location is ridiculous. Waited 35 minutes from the moment I ordered until I received my food. Got home and my order was wrong. I should've checked while I was there but I was in rush after waiting for so long. The lobby was not busy, nor was the drive-thru, really. Once I ordered I realized there were numerous cars parked waiting for their orders. The kids fulfilling the orders were so slow and seemed to not care about the amount of cars waiting. On their phones while walking out. So the owner put up a huge gate blocking the entrance to the complex next to it. I think this is so hostile to the businesses, customers, and employees of those businesses. Culvers should be serving the community around them but they're not. The fire marshal made the owner take the gate down and then as soon as the fire marshal left he parked his car blocking the entrance showing he has no regard for the safety of the people who work or patron those businesses. All he cares about is himself. He is selfish, arrogant, and a poor business owner. I will never give my money to a business who treats others like that. I use to stop in after my daughters gymnastics class because I didn't have time to make dinner. I will not be going there again. read more
