We stopped here and had a great lunch! There were six of us and we all ordered in twos. The staff were friendly and service was fast. I ordered a single burger and cheese fries. You can get double and triple patties. I saw some people getting triples and the burgers looked huge! The single was plenty for me. The cheese fries were good, but I forgot it is like a slice of cheese over the fries and I prefer more of the dipping sauce like cheese, so will probably just get regular fries next time. After eating, I realized I have never tried a shake from In n Out, so ordered a chocolate one. It was delicious! Perfect size too! I like visiting In-n-Out when I'm on the west coast. Line outside for drive thru you have to play chicken with the line waiting and people exiting the drive thru it's a nightmare. The inside wasn't busy. Wasn't thrilled to have a mop touch my foot (wearing flip flops) or the guy swiffering behind her. No I'm sorry but we're carrying on about a conversation about a broken arm. I Wass traveling by an saw In-N-Out and thought I'd stop by for a quick bite. Decided to dine inside. I've probably been to 10 different In-N-Outs and each one looks quite identical on the inside. My only issue this time was my Animal Style burger was cold when handed to me. When I sat down and picked it up my first thought was it was cooked the day before and allowed to sit pretty, with a smile on it's face, overnight. It tasted fresh and it was still pretty good. We waited there for a long time because of the car in front of us. Once we got to the second window, we got our food immediately. However, the cashier did not ask me to pay. Living in the Midwest, we don't have In-N-Out burger, so I had to try. We went inside because I was not sure what I wanted. I did hear that I had to order "animal style," which I did. Their menu is simple and easy as 1, 2, 3. The customer service was outstanding from order to pick up. I couldn't believe that 5 people ordered & we only paid around $26 for all. What a great experience for fast food. It was clean, quick, super nice service & the price was just right. I also got extra spread to dip my fries in. I was impressed for a fast food joint. I moved back to the East Coast and every time I travel West, I have them again but none of the non-California locations seem the same. It also seems like the burger patties are smaller, the onion slices thicker and the fries are not as good either. So after a morning of muddy desert off-roading, we decided to stop at In-N-Out for a later lunch on the way back to our hotel. I expected for the drive-thru line to be bonkers and wait time to be wild, based on being an extremely #OnlinePerson and having seen people say that this is the norm, totally expected, and definitely worth it. I suggested we park and order and eat inside for sitting down and not burning gas purposes. But color me delighted to notice that things moved VERY fast once an order was placed! It was pretty busy inside as well as the drive through lane, but it seemed most people were opting for carry-out, so there was not a issued finding a spot to sit. You order at the counter and pay, then you pick up your food at the counter when your order number is called. The menu is comically small, but I had been told how and what to order to get the true and full value of one's first visit....a double-double with fries, animal-style. It was fresh and hot and came out faster than expected (which...considering what exactly they offer and how it is offered...should not be surprising). The burger was fine, better than McDonalds but not as good as my favorite non-chain but still fast food burgers. The fries were good but y'all....everyone loves "animal-style" and the sauce and, dudes....it is just like...Thousand Island dressing. If I had known that, I woulda skipped it. I kept thinking that the onion pieces on it were bacon, and then being disappointed that they weren't. Still, tasty and filling, but I should have just gotten the regular fries. Overall, a visit that met my expectations and in a few instances surpassed them. I have fulfilled the American-human-travel-experience of eating and an In-N-Out and...I can't say I will go out of my way to duplicate the experience, but I also can't say I am sorry that I had it. 3.5 stars, rounded up for it's regional uniqueness to me. read more

Never had a Double Double before, guess it was on my bucket list. Busy drive through and not too large of a line for inside dining. They have plenty of staff here and the service was very good. The great debate. Shake Shack versus In-N-Out Burger. Being a native from the East Coast, I have already tasted the entire Shake Shack menu from inside out. In-N-Out had definitely impressed my palate. A few things I've noticed when I was waiting in line was how nice and prompt the workers were with the orders. There were people in the back peeling fresh potatoes and chopping all the ingredients from scratch. None of that prepackaged chopped onions and cheese that you see from Mcdonalds. This definitely helped with the anticipation of the burger. I ordered the Double-Double with a side of fries. If you are a huge fan of skinny patties like myself, this is the one for you. Just an atypical, no-frill, sub $5 burger with 0 guilt. Maybe a little. The fries, on the other hand, were painstakingly undercooked.
