Located in a dynamic area of the Lake Meadow Shopping Center, Culver's is a newish addition to the dining options in this area. White Castle used to the be draw but since it's opening, more people seem to go here for their burger fix. Entering the parking lot is tricky as there is always traffic for Culver's as well as the nearby grocery store and shops. I was able to snag a decent parking spot without having to circle around. This location as well as others offers a military discount with appropriate identification. The line to order was a bit confusing but I asked those waiting if everyone had been helped. Waited a few minutes and then it was my turn to order. Some guy claimed I jumped him in line and he proceeded to rant while I placed my order. Sir, we not doing back and forth in 2025! The cashier was nice and made sure to repeat my order back to ensure he got it right. When you opt to dine in, they'll give you a number tent while you go search for a clean table away from anyone acting bizarre. This took a few minutes and I had to use my stash of Lysol wipes to clean the table off for my mom and I. You'd think if an employee saw a customer doing this, they'd come over to assist but that was wishful thinking. From ordering to receiving our food, we sat for about 10 minutes. Tried to kill time by preparing our drinks and getting napkins and staging for the food's arrival. In the interim, people watching didn't disappoint. The food was hot when it did arrive so that's a plus. It had been a while since I'd eaten Culver's but it hit the spot. Of note, if you are anti ketchup such as myself and opt for bbq sauce for dipping your fries, there is a $0.50 fee for a cup of bbq sauce. The price point is slightly inflated for the portion size. Cleanliness could have been better, and they seemed to be short-staffed when I dined there. There is a competing line of food delivery drivers who come in and just grab orders while customers are in abundance. Not a terrible visit but if the choice had been mine, it would have been somewhere else. An overall three star review with room for improvement. It was too cold this particular day for a milkshake but I can get behind their milkshakes as it'd give Wendy's a run for their money. Family friendly with options to dine in, take away and has a drive thru. Capable of accepting cash, credit and contactless pay methods. If in the mood, I'd dine here again.

    Fries are burnt and cold.

Absolutely no time to think or breathe in the drive thru. Can't think clear being rushed. Pretty much got everything plain! So annoyed. No toppings on these high priced meals and custard pisses me off.

I ordered for full order but they forgot to include fries. They act they like they don't care. Don't spend money here

I wasn't particularly impressed by the selection, and the freshness of the donuts left something to be desired. The presentation also took away from the experience. Seeing donuts sitting exposed in boxes where customers can easily view them isn't particularly appealing and doesn't create the freshest visual impression. I tried the maple pecan glazed donut, which was overwhelmingly sweet. Even after just one bite, the intense sugar rush was immediate and overpowering, making it difficult to enjoy the other flavors. The vanilla donut was the better of the two--pleasantly doughy, though it still lacked the freshness I was hoping for. Overall, this was an average experience. The donuts were serviceable, but neither the selection, presentation, nor freshness gave me much reason to return.

And honestly, I think a stop here for all future visits to Wicker Park now rely on this condition being met! While the baked goods are where it is at, the smell alone was worth selling itself. After we got a few whiffs, we made out way to the counter and did the ole "Ill take that, and this, oh and that too..." and ended up with a wide variety of cookies, tarts, danishes and cakes. All of which were absolutely delightful! Out of our haul, the peanut butter cookie was the highlight for me, and the raspberry crumble bar was it for my partner. Everything in between was delish, but a few things definitely stood out! Service was stellar from entry to exit. They knew we were newbies, so they helped us pick the best of the best.
