Really great spot with Indian fusion options. Excellent meats and tortillas. Casual spot with friendly service. Great prices.

Pork Belly Taco*, Chicken Tinga Taco*, Signature Taco* From left to right

I had takeout. I ordered the pork belly taco, the chicken tinga, and the signature which is steak and bacon. Each had lots of meat. The only reason I removed a star was because the pork belly was dried out as if it was sitting too long, and it was an up charge for pork belly. I did order at like 10pm, so that could be the reason, but the flavor was good, so I need to try again during day time. All the tacos were delicious and I would recommend each one, just be mindful of the possibility that the pork belly might be dry. Rice and beans were tasty as well.

I was really craving tacos with plenty of vegetarian options, and this place came up while I was searching, so I decided to give it a try. The restaurant has mostly indoor seating with plenty of tables, so finding a spot wasn't an issue. I ordered the paneer taco and the samosa taco, which the staff told me is their most popular vegetarian option. They were super friendly and happy to give me recommendations. I also loved that they served complimentary warm chips and salsa, just like many Mexican restaurants do. Both tacos were really good, but the samosa taco was definitely my favorite. It was such a fun fusion idea and worked surprisingly well. The real highlight for me, though, was the salsa bar. They had such a great variety, from mild to seriously spicy. As a salsa verde girlie, the green salsa was easily my favorite. The habanero salsa had the perfect kick, and the avocado salsa was delicious too. I really enjoyed my meal and would definitely come back the next time I'm in Chicago.

Overall great experience! Came right as we had our late night snack craving. We got some cheese waffle fries, tons of different toppings on them. The cheese sauce was fire and the guac was great. We got a platter of 3 tacos assorted. Chicken, ground beef, and al pastor. Such good flavor but we got them Mexican style with the onions and cilantro. Def would be back! Jake n kevin

We've been going here for ages so I don't know why I haven't written a review. It's very tasty and fresh and an excellent value. We especially love the avocado salsa and the steak burritos. Because they make it to order, it can be a bit of a wait - even ordering in advance, but it is worth it if you're not in a rush. They now offer a lunch special of 3 tacos (they can be different) with rice and beans for $12. It's plenty of food! The interior is order at the counter and be seated, but eating in means you can partake in the many salsas bar. Definitely a regular in our rotation.

I went to Taco Maya for a late night dinner at 11 pm. I was immediately greeted from the guy behind the counter asking if I wanted to dine in or carry out. The restaurant has a casual and relaxed atmosphere. Upon sitting down, I was provided a basket of chips and salsa and a cup of water. I ordered the shrimp tacos, side of elotes and a Horchata. All three items were fresh and full of flavor.

Ordered carry out order for a quick bite to eat after work. Unfortunately the chicken tikka taco ordered was completely raw had to throw my entire dinner to the trash.

Meat (steak/chicken) was cut up into cubes, which were entirely too big. Other than that, the flavors are good and authentic.

Our waiter at Le Mistral was very friendly, gave some good advice on the cocktails, and was consistently attentive. My cocktail was just OK - sherry-based martini. We were not looking to feel the noize, however, and so stayed for just one cocktail. Mine was a Sazerac adjacent mix, and it was very high quality. The decor is very low light, but the vibe is pretty basic - more Paint Your Dorm Room black than Parisian Opium Den black. A bit of a missed opportunity for romance.

The ambiance is really nice without feeling too "stuffy". Bar was gorgeous and service was friendly and helpful, allowing my boyfriend to sample some wines before going in on some bottles. The charcuterie board with mixed meat and cheese was really small though. Only three pieces of cheese for five people... it made it feel like an awkward fight over who'd get to try some. The gluten free crackers were appreciated though. We ended up ordering more food including the "party tray" which I would describe more as charcuterie nachos. We didn't really know what to expect with this one so we got the canned mussels but it really would've tasted better with the prosciutto instead. It included a whipped cheese, olives, and cornichons piled onto potato chips. Less of a tray and more of a nacho-style dish. I wanted nothing more than to ring in year 45 with a great glass of natural wine... and I walked out having had a 7-glass flight and one of the most memorable evenings of the trip. The bartenders deserve their own star. They weren't just knowledgeable--they were genuinely fun to talk to, the kind of people who make you feel like you've been coming there for years. We went from discussing funky wine profiles to diving deep into '80s horror films, which is absolutely my idea of a perfect tangent. Their enthusiasm and curiosity made the whole experience feel personal and spontaneous. As for the wine: unique, surprising, and delicious, even the pours I didn't expect to enjoy. Good Funk leans into exploration in the best way--nothing feels generic or predictable. Every glass had its own personality, and the flight felt like a curated adventure rather than a lineup. I let our server know right away that I have celiac, and she reassured me that the kitchen would take every precaution to make sure my food was entirely safe. We started off with the arancini, which is made gluten-free in a separate fryer and was absolutely to die for. For my main course, I had the gluten-free radiatori tossed in a spicy vodka sauce, and it was so good that I ate every single bite. To top it all off, we shared two desserts between us: the panna cotta and the flourless chocolate cake, both of which were delicious.
