My friend and I came here for the first time. I haven't been to a Cheesecake Factory in forever. The menu is still as big as I remember! They have a huge selection of things to choose from which made it hard to decide on what to order. This Cheesecake Factory is located off the magnificent mile which makes it super convenient to get to. The interior design of this Cheesecake Factory kind of reminded me of Willy Wonka. They brought us a brown bread roll and a white sourdough-style baguette with butter on the side as we were deciding on what to order. I ended up ordering the pickle fries which came with a spicy ranch. The ranch was so good but the pickle fries were just ok. They were mini pickle spears with a breaded coating. For my entree I ordered the egg roll sampler which included Avocado Eggrolls, Tex-Mex Eggrolls, Cheeseburger Spring Rolls, and Chicken Taquitos. That was super tasty! I'm glad I ordered that as I was indecisive as to what egg roll to order. They were all so tasty in their own way so it was hard to decide on my favorite but I liked the chicken taquitos the best. My friend ordered a skinnylicious beet salad that she said was good and the avocado egg rolls. That was a big portion so she was able to take some leftovers home. The service was attentive and the food came out quick. For dessert I ordered the Oreo dream extreme cheesecake and my friend ordered the dulce de leche caramel cheesecake. We got in line for togo cheesecake slices (avoiding the very long line for a table)... we put in our order and waited about 15 minutes for our slices. We made sure to grab several forks as we were sharing a couple different flavors. I believe we grabbed a key lime pie, a Godiva Chocolate and a cookie dough something. We split all of these between 5 adults and had a little of the chocolate and cookie dough left over. We didn't eat at the restaurant but I did use the bathroom while we waited for our cheesecake. My family came here last night to celebrate my daughter's 11th birthday! The food and service was great! I want to send a special shout to the staff and management!!! My youngest son is autistic. I told whoever was at the front desk to that we needed a booth for him. Having a booth for him helps to create a more comfortable, secure, and controlled environment. We had gone in for a quick lunch on a Saturday afternoon, since we were near John Hancock tower. I had really fond memories of the Chicken Madeira from Cheesecake Factory, and hence ordered the same from this outlet. The dish was sloppy and quite average. The mashed potato was clumpy, and there were 4 sad pieces of asparagus hidden in the dish. Major part of the dish consisted of the clumpy mashed potato. And this dish took upward of 30 mins to arrive. I however was impressed by the restaurant layout. The server who was serving us was very sweet and nice, and he kept checking on us. Jostin F our server on 1/30/26 was excellent. Great memory and attentive to details and so kind. So much food to choose from. I just don't know how they can make all these different dishes from a booklet of a million recipes. So you can eat what your heart desires that day and then tap it off with an amazing dessert. The prices for the cheesecakes have gotten higher around $13 a slice, but they are still very good and the whipped cream is always fresh and lovely. Don't drive here unless you are willing to pay for a garage or street parking where you have to pay on the ParkChicago mobile app for at least five dollars an hour. Rarely go here, as it's such a tourist trap. But anytime I had people visiting me in Chicago we'd make a visit per their request. Lines are way too long. With a reservation you still end up waiting way longer, every time. Not enough space to sit in the waiting area. However the service is nice. Unfortunately the menu is about 20 pages, way too long. Which means because it's such a huge menu they can't specialize in anything.... So everything is very mediocre. Cheesecake is good, but again, why have 30 different flavors. It's just too much. If they could just narrow their menus they would be able to focus on making those items even better. If you are a Chicago tourist looking for a meal downtown, I could offer 94 other better options. Update: I took Cheesecake Factory Guest services up on their offer to give feedback from my experience. I did that on 1/8/2026 and still have not heard back on 1/20/2026. The form said I should hear back within 2-3 business days. Additional update: Cheesecake Factory Guest Relations did respond on 1/26/2026 (after my second Yelp review). I shared the date and time of day we were at the restaurant and the general meal we had (salad, entree, 2 bourbon cocktails). They assured me this was being handled with the staff at the restaurant. Unfortunately, that doesn't do me as the customer any good as I don't plan to return and lost an unreasonable amount of time and money dining there on a special day. I was really impressed with my order from this location. Everyone was very friendly and pickup was super easy. I ordered from DoorDash and walked over from my hotel to pick it up. I ordered the Southern Fried Chicken. I enjoyed how everything was packaged with the chicken in a separate container to keep it fresh and the sides secure. It was a huge portion, but it was delicious. I also loved the bread-to-go. It really completed the meal & experience. For dessert, I ordered the peach cheesecake with raspberry drizzle. The wontons were hands down my favorite. They taste like they're made with real crab and not imitation and they're so flavorful. The calamari was just alright. They have excessive breading and I would not get them again. For our entrees we got the steak fritte and the crispy chicken costoletta. The steak was cooked perfectly, however, it has a bordelaise on top and it's delicious! The fries were nice and crispy. The chicken was just okay. The breading was a little crispier and tasted so. The lemon sauce that the food was played over was so delicious. I wish it came with more of it. The mashed potatoes were so good! They were very flavorful and made just how I like them, with the skin and a little chunky. We had a raspberry cheesecake for desert and it was the most amazing cheesecake I have tried. Now the service, it could be better. We had our appetizers out with no napkins, we didn't even get the cloth dinner napkin. We had to ask 3 times before we received napkins.The server really didn't come by his tables as much but was friendly when he did. We didn't get a steak knife with the dinner and it was a while before we did get one, plus they had picked up all the silverware with the appetizers when dinner got there so we had to wait for that too. We Haven't been to a Cheesecake Factory since 2016 and to be completely honest, it was the exact same minus the older decor. The service was nice but the price of what it was wasn't great. Hershey's Chocolate Bar Cheesecake: The Cheesecake Factory's cheesecakes are one of my favorite desserts. I've tried most of the flavors that I intend to, as a few just don't appeal to me (mostly the fruity ones, yuck!). It's a slow process since I like returning to my favorites rather than risk trying a new one every time I go. Plus, they offer over 30 varieties. The Hershey's Chocolate Bar Cheesecake is listed as "Hershey's Cheesecake between moist chocolate cake with creamy chocolate frosting and chocolate chips". Why has it taken me over 10 years since my first visit to the Cheesecake Factory to try this one? First, it's somewhat similar to one of my favorites, the 30th Anniversary Cheesecake. Second, I loathe dark chocolate, and I was afraid this piece might be too bitter based off other reviews. If you're like me and prefer milk chocolate, don't be timid about trying this one. It's a mix of both milk and dark chocolate flavors and it's so sweet that you won't mind the dark aspect. The actual Hershey's cheesecake portion is surprisingly light, almost like a mousse. You won't get much if any cream cheese flavor and I can't say it reminded me of the classic Hershey taste, but it was delicious. As for the chocolate cake, it was perfectly moist as described. A little darker than the cheesecake, but not too dark. Topping the slice is a creamy and sweet chocolate frosting. Where a hint of bitterness creeps in is the semi-sweet chocolate chips. It works to balance things out though and I like how it contributes a different texture to the mix as the chips are hard, and the rest of the slice is soft as butter. Included is The Factory's fresh whipped cream with a Hershey's version of an oversized M&M (M&Ms are made by Mars and this one also obviously says Hershey). Pairing this with an ice-cold glass of milk and steaming cup of mocha coffee worked nicely. The server added an authorized charge to my card after I paid the bill and tipped him 20%. So, he essentially gave himself an extra 5% tip which is illegal. In fact, it's credit card fraud! (I am a lawyer, by the way). He was also inattentive and bordering rude. I'm appalled that they would employ someone with such poor people skills. He brought my soup to me and when I told him it wasn't hot, he debated with me and said, "I just got it from the pot. That's just how it is." I insisted and he then brought me another bowl which was hotter. I think the first bowl was from the top of the pot. He didn't bother stirring it first. I have worked in the food industry. You should always stir a pot of soup before serving. The server's name is Dalton. I know because I still have the receipt! That's how I know he added the extra charge. When I called the restaurant to report it, I was out on hold for 10 minutes and gave up. I don't have time to sit on hold. Overall, it was an unpleasant experience and shouldn't happen at all in the Gold Coast. There are so many better restaurants to choose from. I won't be going back here. Unfortunately it looks like Cheesecake Factory is not immune to the current landscape of higher costs with lower quality food. For two entrees and 2 pieces of cheesecake it was just over $100. One of the entrees was from the "skinny-licious" menu, and the portion was so small and cost upwards towards $30. I had had it before in the past and it was really tasty and much more reasonably priced. The entree was so peppery, it was almost inedible. Cheesecake slices are also considerably smaller and cost around $12-13 a piece. It's one thing to have high quality food and portions and have a comparable price. It's another to have a $100 meal with food that just isn't up to par - and not much of it. read more

Being in a busy tourist-y area, everyone wanted to stop by and check out the factory. When we walked in, it was wall-to-wall people. The wait times were ridiculous. Alas, it is Chicago after all. After a short ten second debate, we decided to order some dessert to go. I don't remember what we all ordered but we ended up taking our food out into the food court/square/eating area. There were people all over the place, from all over the place. Chicago is a good representation of people from all over the world. How was our food? From what I remember, it was okay. The amount of hype I heard before coming here was insane. Everyone raved about it. My expectations were set high due to the hype. My mouth was let down. Maybe the bar was set too high. Maybe I got the wrong thing. Either way, I was let down. I am willing to revisit one in the future to see what they offer in terms of non-cheesecake. But it is low on my priority list. They are rolling out a new menu so they no longer have the cashew chicken but do have a spicy cashew chicken that's supposed to be the same thing but improved. The dish was not spicy at all even though we asked for it to be very spicy and it was more on the salty side. It definitely doesn't taste like the original. Not sure if it's improved. The orange chicken was extremely sweet and the chicken was breaded. Normally, it's crispy so it tastes good but this was like frozen chicken tossed in orange sauce. What a fantastic experience we had at this Cheesecake Factory! First of all, it's in a very unique location and is decorated much differently than other CF's we have been to. It has an animated feeling, very cool.
