Came here for dessert after lunch since we were craving for something refreshing on a warm day. We ordered the injeolmi bingsoo and it was the perfect treat. It was so refreshing and the little mochi, red bean, and almond bits that came with it perfectly complemented the shaved snow. I really liked how they provided condensed milk on the side for us to add to our liking. Also the size was perfect to share between two people.

Ambiance - cute boba spot to chat with friends, lots of seating, and they have 2 machines for customers to order drinks/food Service - ordered 2 drinks and took about 5 min to be ready Food - ordered my favorite ovaltine boba shake, make sure to order at 0% sweetness level since the drink is already sweet itself

Came here for a sweet treat after dinner and this spot was great! I can't remember what this dessert was called but it was honest super interesting. The base of it was like shaved ice but creamy and not watery. It didn't have much of a taste to it but with the fruit, it was fantastic. My friend got an Oreo waffle and I tried a bite and it was great. Overall I would definitely recommend this cute little shop.

FLAVOR (3/5): The drinks aren't memorable but do quench a thirst. The egg puffs are crispy but they don't have an egg aroma to them. INSTAGRAM WORTHY (4/5): The packaging and decorations scream take a picture of me! They have chinese poems on the wall, a swing chair and some cute seating throughout. SERVICE (2/5): We ordered on the tablet for here and the workers still made us get up to get our food and drinks. What's the point of having an option to dine in if you're just going to treat it as togo? TAKEAWAYS: Not a lot of good boba in Chicago so this place is okay at best.

    strawberry bingsoo

i'd like to consider myself the queen of bingsoo, and this place earned a 4/5 for me. the strawberries were fresh, there was a decent amount of condensed milk on them & the whipped cream was a nice touch. here's the con: they don't include any condensed milk on the side and there is none throughout the shaved ice or at the bottom. for me, there was enough condensed milk on the strawberries to make each bite enjoyable if i included a strawberry with it. the snow has a different texture than what i'm used to from high quality bingsoo places, but for this being chicago (and not korea or LA/california), this was good enough for me for a craving while being stuck in the midwest for the time being.

    Peach and mango shaved snow

I was looking for a shaved snow/ice place and this one seemed to fit the bill. I'm honestly quite surprised there aren't more places around Chicago serving this type of dessert. This store has a small free shared parking lot outside with limited spots. Portion is huge and meant for sharing. I went with a peach and mango combo. The fruit tastes very sweet and fresh, with syrup drizzled on top. The shaved snow is very light and creamy and there's a surprise bit of red bean sandwiched underneath the layer of fluffy snow. It's the perfect antidote dessert for a hot steamy Chicago summer day.

Tiramisu bingsu and bingsu with injeolmi, strawberry, and mango
    Megan H.

I didn't try the boba here, but we stopped by because we were craving bingsu! The portions were much bigger than we were expecting, and we had gotten two for 6 people, which was more than enough. We got one with three toppings on top (strawberry, mango, injeolmi) and one that was tiramisu flavored. The texture was perfect for bingsu, and the flavor was delicious as well. I always like getting one with fruit since it's refreshing. The tiramisu one was really good and came with a lot of toppings like ice cream, cheesecake, and oreos! The only problem was that the tiramisu powder was only lightly sprinkled at the top, so once you finished eating the top, there wasn't much of the tiramisu flavor at the middle or bottom.

Bingsoo with peaches, grass jelly, matcha foam on the side, and I don't remember what else

The white peach bingsu was delicious!! I wouldn't change a thing. It was the perfect size for 4 people to share and it had just the right amount of toppings. Perfect sweetness. Fruit was fresh. Not long of a wait time for preparation. If you like matcha, get the matcha milk foam on the side! I would come again to try their other bingsu flavors and their milk teas.

Came here for the boba and it was pretty good! The space itself is so clean and cute. Very aesthetic decor. It's connected to a fried chicken spot, which looks sooo delicious. I definitely want to come back to try the chicken! You can order everything (chicken, boba, dessert) from the touch screen up front, then pick a table number (they're sitting next to the screen). Take the table number to your seat and they'll bring you your food and drinks! Very smooth process :) I got the Sakura oolong milk tea with the amber boba pearls, with 75% sweetness. It was really good! Very floral and refreshing. I'll definitely be back to try their shaved ice dessert!!

Saw that this place had Korean shaved ice so I decided to give it a try. Turns out this place also sells drinks and fried chicken. Upon walking inside, there are two ordering kiosks for you to place your order in. If you plan to pay using cash, you will need to order at the counter. The Korean Shaved Ice turned out to be around $17. It was decent. It was definitely big enough for 3-4 people to share one.

Decent spot in Chicago Chinatown for shaved ice and beverages. We ordered bingsu with strawberries, mangoes, and honeymelon. The strawberries and mangoes were both pretty good, but the honeymelon had an odd artificial taste.

Came here with coworkers for dessert in Chinatown, since it is only a couple minutes walk from Qing Xiang dumplings where we had dinner. A couple of us got shaved snow and one person got a taro drink. Food came out in about 10 minutes. I did the combo shaved snow with strawberry and mango, and it was delicious! The fruit tasted like preserves in syrup style but they were still crisp and very sweet. The portion size is large enough for 2 to share. I elected to include the red bean option for authenticity even though I am not normally a fan of them in desserts. they add it under the pile of the shaved snow. As expected they were ok- I guess they just aren't sweet enough for me for dessert. My coworker got the blueberry and strawberry combo and when it came out, the blueberry had cheesecake bites in it. Yum!

The shop is small but still had a lot of people. What's crazy was that the queue is so long from online orders. The efficiency is just like China tho, the queue moved quickly. The options and customization is so detailed. Honestly had no idea what I would start with, but the "popular" tags sort of helped me decide. I got a premium Jasmine milk tea hot with lowest sugar, tongmu lapsang salted cheese milk tea hot with lowest sugar, and pistachio jasmine coconut iced with lowest sugar. All of which had really good and strong tea flavor. The jasmine was the most noticeable, a bit more than I'm used to but really good. All of the drinks were good but not as creamy or thick or heavy as other places-- this is probably both a pro and con depending on how you like it. I didn't like the salted cap, not sure why it's green and tasted like matcha, shouldn't it be for the tongmu lapsang? Perhaps I should order it inside and have them put the cap in the drink. Overall, really happy with the flavors. I would definitely try out some of their other ones in the future. So glad to this Shenzhen chain having a location in Chicago.

I initially attempted to order at the kiosk, only to discover doing so comes with a 3% fee vs. ordering with a human. It's not about the nickels, it's the principle of the thing! I instead placed my order with the clerk - less ice, less sweet. Though it wasn't very busy at the time, the drink came out relatively fast. The service overall was friendly, too! Now, about this beverage... if I'd asked for a "surprise me," I'd be happier. This is because on its own, it was respectable and unique in its custard-like consistency. However, given that I'd ordered a milk tea, where neither the appropriate consistency nor tea notes made an appearance, my happiness and satisfaction levels go down. To give some credit, the beverage I received wasn't too sweet, and had a slight velvety mouthfeel. It was unique and interesting, unlike anything I had ever had before. Final verdict: there is no shortage of boba tea shops around, especially in Chinatown. If you're going to do something different, power to you. However, don't say you sell one thing, and sell another.

The one girl who was working here that day was very nice and friendly, but I don't think she totally understood me as I was trying to explain the benefits of leaving tip in cash versus tip on the card at the kiosk where you put your order in. We did order two drinks and both drinks are absolutely delicious. However the Taro milk Boba tea was a little bit chewy. You could obviously customize your toppings, the sugar amount, the iced amount, etc. that sounds pretty standard. The flavors were delicious and super fresh so frankly, if this came out of a can or out of powder, it definitely didn't taste like it. Really top quality and great taste for the price. I believe each drink was $6.25 which puts it right at par with a lot of its competitors in Chinatown. Also, if you order some of the unique drinks that come in a unique square cup, believe it or not. The location is completely decked out in their pink. It's very cute and I assume was really put together for the purpose of social media pictures as you can see from the pictures I took. I would definitely come back here again as it is unique however, a lot of the menu is pretty similar across the Boba competitors located in this exact same mall as well.
