If you have not tried Chilangos, I'm here to tell you that you're absolutely missing out! I also ordered the steak taco and the shrimp taco. Both of those were 10/10 (per usual) but i HAD to show you guys how beautiful this bowl was! On top of looking amazing, it tastes amazing as well. You have your choice of protein and that's it and tbh, I love that! It automatically comes with cheese, rice, sour cream, pico de gallo, pinto beans and romaine lettuce. When I tell you that you don't need any sauce or added spice to this! It's so delicious! The portion is insane. I can get through maybe a 1/4 of it and I have to save the rest. One thing I love about this bowl is that the rice is seasoned. It may even be yellow rice and that makes it even better! Every bite is the perfect bite because you get a little bit of everything! Thank you so much Chilango! You have never ever disappointed me and the way you provide consistency needs to be studied! I appreciate you guy so much! It was a beautiful meal and ofc, I'll be back for more!

While in Chicago, I had the opportunity to visit one of the few McDonald's in the States that…read moreserves international meals. My Godmother works for McDonald's corporate, so we had the chance to explore the area and try some of the international foods served around the world. My heart remains close to McDonald's because it was my first job as a teenager, working at a corporate McDonald's where I learned about food service and presentation, as well as the importance of customer service. Today, I experienced this McDonald's location as a customer, and all I can say is that the place was spotless, the ambiance was welcoming, and it didn't feel like a typical fast-food place. The staff looked presentable, and the General Manager was walking around greeting everyone and ensuring everything was running smoothly. She came to our table and greeted us. The service was quick and efficient. We tried the McPops, which are soft dough mini donuts filled with Biscoff, hazelnut, or mixed berries. If you like munchkins, you will absolutely love the McPops. The dough was airy, the filling flavorful, and the powdered sugar gave a nice finish. These McPops are only available in Canada, Australia, Spain, Switzerland, and at the unique McDonald's at the headquarters in Chicago. I would definitely travel again just for these! My favorite was between hazelnut and Biscoff; I kept tasting each and mixing the flavors, almost like a Reese's combination. Additionally, I tried their McShaker Fries from Hong Kong smoky BBQ flavor, which came with a BBQ powder pack and a bag to add the fries to season and give them a shake to season them perfectly. Because the fries were hot, the BBQ flavor was a plus; it wasn't spicy, just very savory. We also had some pancakes, which are hands down the best pancakes of any fast-food restaurant; I can't resist having a plate of hotcakes. Overall, the food, service, and ambiance were a 10/10. Thank you, McDonald's, for a full 360-degree experience. Loyal customer.

The restaurant itself is modern, spacious, and cleaner than a typical McDonald's, which made for a comfortable visit. That said, the experience didn't quite live up to the hype. While it was fun to see the rotating international menu, it still felt like a regular McDonald's overall. The selection wasn't as extensive as I expected, and depending on when you visit, the item you're hoping to try may not be available. I'm glad I stopped by to check it out, but it's probably not somewhere I'd go out of my way to visit again. Overall: 3 stars. A neat concept for first-time visitors, but more of a novelty than a must-see destination.

A LOCAL CLASSIC! I…read moreloved this spot so much I ended up coming back twice. It has that classic late night comfort food vibe and feels like one of those staple spots you have to try at least once. First night I ordered a polish hot dog with everything on it and a fish sandwich w/ extra grilled onions. Super cool that your order comes with fries and I added a cheese cup both times. In my opinion the fries were mid the first go around, but second time they were better. Definitely tasted better dipped in cheese. They were kinda airy in texture, if that makes sense. Polish hot dog was around a 6.5-7/10 for me. It did taste better warmed up the next day. What I was most obsessed with was the double cheeseburger and fish sandwich! both were easily a 10/10. Super good prices and worth the money. Also, the chile peppers were sooo bomb and hotter than I expected ! I wanted to eat them all, but they were packing some serious heat! The lemon Italian ice is where it's at, make sure to order one! You can also mix it with strawberry, but both times people recommended the lemon and now I see why. The line gets super active and busy past 10-11pm, but during the daytime it's way less crowded. Even when it gets packed the line moves pretty quick. They stay open late and close at 1am which is nice.

Both were nice and hot. Fries were crispy and that first snap into the juicy sausage was worth the trip. No seating, so be prepared to eat in your car and get a bit messy. Also be warned the peppers are legitimately spicy, those serranos had my partner sweating. Glad I tried it, but not something I'd eat all the time, great late night drinking kind of food.

Even though there was a bit of a wait to get our shake, it was absolutely worth it. Rich, creamy, and loaded with the flavor of Portillo's iconic chocolate cake, it's every bit as indulgent as people say. Good day dear reader,…read more I was visiting my family in the town for a week, I took the decision of going to the well know "Portillo's... Chicago"®. I was there with my wife, we got diferent set of Hotdogs and some pasta and two sides of fries and our drink. We will start with; The side of the pasta is really slow & they will stop at 11:00pm, what is completely okay and I do understand it, BUT! Hold on, because you can pay for things from that kitchen and they will tell you "it is too late and now we don't have more pasta, we cannot help you". That happened today with us 07/30/2026. It is annoying, because I needed to talk with different people to be able to get my food, with a people that doesn't reply to "good evening" or any kind of regard, after it, we started eating (approximately 30 minutes after our arrival). The pasta was not well cooked, it was hard, I don't know if that is the style of the place, but for me that was bad cooked, the sauce is good, taste ok, the portion is ok, but have in consideration that is not meat in there, you are paying just for the "pasta", then the fries are so soft, good, here I won't complain because the fries are one of those things that could be in different ways and the people will see it as good or bad, but they need a little extra of seasoning. The great thing: The hotdogs... expensive... no flavor, the sauce isn't a "quality" sauce, I am paying around 5 dlls per hotdog, I am specting a better quality, the bread is really simple, etc., average hotdog of a weekend at your backyard. The drink has a good size, no complaint. The workers are in a hurry all the time, they don't have time for regards or quality of attention to each customer, I encourage you to add more personal to your boards and to pay them better, they work hard. Best wishes, Salazar.

When you walk in, you can sit wherever you want you will be greeted immediately and served your drinks upon placing your order. I ordered a Horchata and it was delicious. It was nice light creamy the perfect amount of cinnamon. I ordered it with no ice that absolutely impacted the flavor and made it even better. It was like an ice cream drink. The service is very welcoming and family oriented. We ordered three steak tacos and one steak huarrache. My boyfriend said the steak tacos were decent. They did bring them out pretty quick and I don't think they were as fresh as they could've been. My order of the steak huarache came out a few minutes after he received his food. My meal was fresh and delicious. The steak was seasoned perfectly. It was not overly greasy. The cheese was delicious. The beans were the perfect texture added onto the base of the huarache. The huarache was a bit more tougher in texture, but it held up very well with everything loaded on top of it. I enjoyed it! I will absolutely be coming back. The sauces were good too. The ambience of this place was very chill. You can relax enjoy your food slowly if you want. I highly recommend stepping out of your comfort zone when ordering they do have all sorts of different types of meat & entrees to choose from. Diversify your pallet.
