On this visit, Shakira suddenly said it had to be charged as full sandwiches because cheese counted as a topping. So I changed the order and paid for the grilled chicken filets plain. Then I tried to buy the two cheese slices separately, which another employee was willing to ring up for about 85 cents. Shakira ran over and stopped him from selling it to me. At that point, it felt less like policy and more like control. She would rather refund an approximately $20 order that I had already paid for than allow me to buy two slices of cheese separately. She then threatened to call the police while I was waiting for my refund. As a Black customer, having a white manager threaten to call police over two slices of cheese felt very concerning. The only thing I could think was that this felt like what society calls a "Karen" situation -- escalating something small and unnecessary instead of calmly resolving it. She also slammed the drive-thru window hard after saying she would call the police. Now for the full details: I had a very troubling experience at Culver's #613, located at 6778 Hickory Flat Hwy, Canton, GA 30115, involving manager Shakira. On this visit, I ordered the same thing: two grilled chicken filets with cheese. For the first time ever, manager Shakira told me that if cheese is added to grilled chicken, the order must be rung up as full sandwiches without buns. I made it clear that I did not want lettuce, tomato, bun, or any sandwich toppings. I only wanted the grilled chicken filets with cheese, the same way we have ordered them many times before. Shakira said this was their policy and that the policy had supposedly been in place for years, although she also said other employees may not have been aware of it or may not have been following it. Since Shakira said the issue was the cheese being added as a topping to the chicken, I attempted to resolve the issue by purchasing the grilled chicken filets plain. I paid for two plain grilled chicken filets and received a receipt showing the grilled chicken filets, not sandwiches. After that, I attempted to purchase two slices of cheese separately. Another employee was willing to ring up the cheese separately and quoted it at about 85 cents, but Shakira stopped him from selling it to me. She appeared to refuse the cheese because she knew I intended to use it with the chicken. At that point, it felt less like a policy issue and more like pettiness and control. Instead of trying to calmly resolve a simple food-order issue, she offered only the food without cheese or a refund. She then threatened to call police if I did not leave after the refund. I had already asked for my refund and was waiting to receive my money back. As a Black customer, being threatened with police over a minor order dispute involving two slices of cheese felt intimidating, unnecessary, and racially concerning. She also slammed the drive-thru window hard during the interaction. I repeatedly asked for my refund because I had already paid for the order and had a receipt. The order was approximately $20, and Shakira seemed willing to have Culver's lose that entire sale rather than allow me to purchase two slices of cheese separately for about 85 cents. That does not sound like good customer service or good management. It felt like ego, control, and pettiness. I also asked how to contact someone above her or how to contact corporate. Shakira stated that the owner is Tim Auseth and said that there was no way to reach corporate beyond him because he is the franchise owner. She also stated that because it is his store, he has his own rules and standards. That was concerning to hear, because this location still operates under the Culver's name. I later went to another Culver's location the same day, and they were able to ring up a similar order as grilled chicken filets with American cheese charged separately. We have recently moved to Georgia and finally decided to try Culver's. My husband had a burger and I had the veggie burger. I was pleasantly surprised about the taste and texture of the veggie burger. It was really good. Hot and tasty. My husband also enjoyed his meal. The service was pleasant and efficient too! Went to Culvers for lunch today and ordered a Coke Zero. I was halfway done with the drink when I took a sip and a chunk of something came up the straw and into my mouth. I poured out the drink to see what was in there and found this. I have no idea what it is nor do I want to know. But I am absolutely disgusted and curious as to how this could have happened. read more

Normally it's fine but i got a double oreo concrete mixer and the first time i got it it was chunky and had lots of oreo perfectly done. and the second time it was just blended completely smooth so i went back in to buy some more of the oreo topping and they told my i couldn't do that which is absolutely ridiculous if you can charge me extra for it then why can't i buy more in a small cup?? i am extremely upset i was really looking forward to it this time i won't be coming back for dessert again im sure i can get better service at the dairy queen or brusters across the street. read more

Ordered a chocolate covered strawberry, flavor of the day, 2 scoops in a cup. Very little strawberries and chocolate. Had to ask for chocolate to cover the scoops. They said they weren't supposed to do that anymore!! Why call it chocolate covered strawberry if there is no chocolate covering the very few strawberries? I am a fan of the burgers and onion rings. Its a once a month stop-in rather than making dinner, and it's quick and easy. However, they need to take some time to revise their professional development, as I am not sure who is training staff and management in customer service but they are doing them a disservice. They left something out of my son's order and when my 12yr old went up to ask for the tomato slice ( yes, a slice of tomato) they insisted he brung back a receipt to show them that he had actually ordered it " because a slice of tomato is 30cents". I came through your drive through around 6:30pm, we asked for everything on the burger. You didn't listen to me. My lettuce, tomato, and onion ended up in a box on the side. I had no ketchup or Mayo. The is was my first time ever visiting a Culver's after hearing so much about it. I thought it couldn't be that great as a fast food joint but honestly it was way better than I was expecting. I got the simple cheeseburger and the cheese curds, both of which I enjoyed, definitely higher standard than most fast food joints in quality. The service was also great the lady we ordered from was super kind and talked to us for a bit. Overall the atmosphere was nice as well and the restaurant was clean. I was short changed at this location by $20 and didn't realize it until I was long gone. I called the store manager, Tim Auseth and he was rude, unapologetic and refused to look into it. I won't be back out of principal and please be sure to count back your change after ordering since evidently they are looking for opportunities to hold your money. read more

Honest burger; honest prices. The menu was a wall of confusing text. Took a few minutes to figure out what was going ton and place an order. It wasn't just me. Plenty of people were standing, pressing their backs against the counter, taking in the whole thing and attempting to make sense of it before wandering over to place their order. I decided to try the snack pack, which is basically a small fry, drink, and a type of single-patty burger of your choice. Let's see now. Positives: . Burgers taste great. . Fries are crinkle cut (yum). . Most of the snack packs are less than $5. Negatives: . Burger patties are very thin. I would recommend going with a double patty. . Fries were overdone. Other oddities include things like... difficulty finding utensils, could not find any condiments other than ketchup, and staff running around blindly trying to match food to person with the little table number markers. My first experience with Culver's was in west Lafayette Indiana. About 10 pounds later... To my happiness. They came to Georgia. Great ice Cream and best burgers around. They do a very decent job at chicken, fish etc Great I've cream 4 stars instead of 5 because they are getting sloppy at drive up...forgot an item 3 times straight. Horrible, went after church with my grandparents very excited as I had seen it while on vacation but had not gone. The wait was so long, then the woman at the cashier was just whispering. She no matter how much we asked would not speak up. When we got our food, it was only okay at best. The Root Beer float was disgusting. We got charged for no tomato and they still left the onions on my burger. We called in and the lady would not answer any questions and was just rude. We wasted our time and will not eat here again. Came here for the first time the other day and I was actually pretty impressed with this place. As soon as I walked in i noticed the restaurant seemed very clean and and neat. Clean restaurants are always a plus. I ordered a single patty cheeseburger meal that came with a medium fry and drink. I'm a big fan of sweet tea so anytime I try it somewhere I'm usually very critical of how it tastes, and at Culver's it was great. The burger itself was pretty good as well. The patties were thin, similar to the steak burger patties at Steak 'n Shake, although I wold say I liked Culver's burgers more. The fries were amazing. Normally I'm not a fan of crinkle fries because they're too thick and potato-y for my liking, but not at Culver's. Their fries were perfectly crispy on the outside and not a bit soggy. The potato to crispy ratio was on point and they came out HOT. Not warm, or lukewarm, which is amazing for fast food fries. I wasn't able to try their frozen custard ice cream unfortunately because I was in a rush, but I'm eager to go back and give it a shot because I've heard it's amazing. As I was leaving one of the employees even told me to have a nice day which was so nice because I don't think that happens very often at fast food restaurants. Overall I give them 4 stars because 1. The customer service was great, all the employees were very kind 2. Loved how clean the restaurant looked and felt 3. Hot fries and good sweet tea 4. The food came out fast and they had a good variety of stuff on the menu. 5. The food WAS good for being fast food. Better than Wendy's, Burger King or McDonald's. I was so happy when this Culver's opened up. I use to travel to Milwaukee a lot for business and had Culver's every time I was up there. Love the fried cheese curds and butter burgers. Was disrespected by cashier with purple hair tonight. I'm not a regular and had some questions about some menu items. She rolled her eyes, sighed, was very evasive in her response, gave half answers. I could tell she was annoyed. I asked for receipt and she refused. My wife's order came out wrong and she treated her the same way. I spoke with the manager about the incident. On the way out of the restaurant, she obnoxiously yells across the restaurant at us to have a good night like a bully in middle school would do to their victim. This place is packed ALL DAY! I finally tried it out for dinner a couple of nights ago and picked up a double butter burger with small crinkle fries. The meat is pressed super thin ( kinda like Wendy's but thinner) and it was a bit over cooked (kinda dry and crispy). I was expecting the quality to be better but it's okay for what it is. The fries were cooked perfectly. I also tried their flavor of the day custard which was the raspberry cheesecake. Vanilla custard with chunks of cheesecake topped with real raspberries! Super yummy! Place reminds me of a Steak 'n Shake combined with Dairy Queen. Not a huge fan of the food but I will def be back for the dessert! read more
