Man Guthrie's is just limping along. People that compare this place to Zaxby's or Canes ain't from around here. Guthrie's is the OG chicken finger spot that the other two stole from. There would not be a Zaxby's or a Canes if Guthrie's hadn't started it all. Period. Fingers, sauce....all Guthrie's. The other two just have better marketing. That's what's sad. I mean Zaxby's is having a major identity crisis. THIS spot does what it does and hasn't tried to be anything else. I have been coming to Guthrie's since I was a student at UGA (class of 91) . THIS Guthrie's fits the mold of any of the locations left. Hard to find and empty. I just don't understand why this place isn't as busy as the other two because the food is awesome!! Today though our orders weren't fresh. It was lukewarm at best. The toast was awesome as was the Cole slaw, and the sauce is hands down better than Cane's! Zaxby's doesn't even make their sauce fresh any more. This would have been a perfect experience had the food been hot. Service was excellent and the place was spotless! Come on Guthrie's!!!!! Disappointing Experience - Poor Service and Incorrect Order Today, I placed an order for an unsweetened iced tea, a basic box with coleslaw, and an extra sauce. When I received my order, the iced tea was missing. I politely asked for it, but instead of an apology, the employee gave me a dismissive look and handed it to me without a word. I drove away, parked, and opened my meal--only to discover that both the coleslaw and extra sauce were missing. Instead, there were just two pieces of toast. I returned to the drive-thru on foot to address the issue. The attendant opened the door without a greeting. I explained that there were three errors in my order, yet again received no apology--just a request to the kitchen for coleslaw, which was handed to me without acknowledgment of the inconvenience. When I asked again for the sauce, the same red-haired attendant continued to smirk without offering a single word of apology. At that point, I asked to speak with a manager, who had clearly overheard the exchange from the window. The manager offered a refund, but instead of processing mine, they mistakenly refunded someone else's order--since I had paid in cash. I later called to clarify this and inform them of the error. When I asked for contact information for the franchise owner so I could share my experience, I was told no such details could be provided, and that reviews couldn't be submitted directly. It's clear that customer service is not a priority at this location. I, like most customers, work hard for my money, and being treated with basic respect and courtesy matters. Ordered 6 finger box and they gave me 4 and half fingers. When I opened and showed them the box, instead of apologizing they were giving all types of looks. They took the box back and this time gave 6 fingers but all of them are much smaller and some of them are little bigger than a french-fry. They are retaliating for checking the box and called out. I paid $15 for that box which is not worth at all. I didn't have time to argue with them. I am not going there again.... Very bad customer service. read more

Been here about four times and love the group and the single boxes - Go on Tues afternoons for the $5 special box and the food has been pretty good and better than the Raising Canes with half the price on cost and GREAT quality! Customer service has really been on spot and love the veterans and LEO discounts to me and friends as well. Great break from other places!!! read more

I was in Canton to visit family, and I arrived earlier than expected. And being afternoon, it was time for lunch. I decided on trying Guthrie's for lunch, since there are none in the Orlando area that I know of. Their chicken strips are really good. I ordered The Box, which comes with chicken strips, French fries, cole slaw, Texas toast, and sauce for dipping. The sauce has a tangy bite to it. Which I like. There was a wait for my order. Which I do not mind since the chicken strips, French fries, and Texas toast was hot. Service is good. But the cashier working the counter was also working the drive thru. There should be one employee working the counter, and one working drive thru. And I could only see two people working the kitchen. It was after the usual lunch time, so I imagine I arrived at a slower time. But I think there should have been more help. If I am in the area again and looking to have lunch, I would likely return here again. read more

food is amazing, comes out fast...I have been back 5-6 times. got the full bucket and all the sides for a party. everyone loved it. even came with a gallon of tea. total out the door was around $50 and it fed 8 people. Amanda was the GM and actually came out and introduced herself and thanked me for my business. I went to college in Auburn and ate at the original location in Auburn for years. The food was always outstanding. I have visited this location in Canton multiple times, and the food has always been excellent for most trips. Occasionally, I have gone there around 2 or 3 PM, and it looked and tasted like they re-dropped the fries in the grease again and served them. (NOT COOL!!) I understand about food costs. I have run many kitchens, but when fried food is your core business, it MUST be hot, fresh, and cooked adequately. However, even after that, I would go to Guthries ANY DAY over a visit to Zaxby's. Nothing against Zaxby's, I eat there, too, but if I am in the area, I choose Guthries. The sauce is the BEST!!! I always get extra sauce. read more

This is based on drive thru experience. Pros: Food is always hot even after I drive home. The portion sizes are great. The chicken and fries have good flavor and texture. I'm honestly surprised at all of the bad reviews. I've gone maybe 3 times in the past month and a half and have had good experiences every time. Cons: That sweet tea is not it for me. First of all, i would like to say that the lanky giraffe looking guy was awesome. He is so attractive and helpful. He deserves a raise. I think that he was about 5'11 and he wears a white Georgia hat. He gave me a refill for FREE! Anyways his coworkers were awful. It's okay. I mean.... all they sell are chicken fingers and fries. I think they have coleslaw and toast... and drinks. It's a 5 item menu. I'm hoping they plan I'm adding more options? Quality: The workers are pleasant. The chicken fingers are good. Not great, but better than Publix deli. I'd say Zaxby's has them beat. The fries are not good. Rather flavorless and kinda dense or stale. Even if it was a freshness issue, I don't think they would be any tastier sooner out of the fryer. Cold chicken. Cold / stale fries. When business slows of the evening, you need to put timers on your food and throw it out after an hour or so. Your food should be edible, even if someone is picking it up at 8:00 pm. Had to throw out the fries. Very disappointing read more

Tried this new location today and must have had better luck than previous reviewers. Yes - it is a limited menu of chicken fingers, fries, slaw and a chicken sandwich, but they excel in these items. The downfall of a lot of "big name" fast food places is their goal of competing with every fast food place out there by offering hamburgers, chicken, tacos...everything. However when I visited Guthries I can't help but say something. the service wasn't bad but as soon as the guy took our payment he sat in his phone. We love Guthrie's. I know there will always be a 5ish minute wait as they make our order on the spot. No sitting under heat lamps for hours and for that, I'll gladly wait for 5-10 minutes at their drive thru. How much more can I complain? I was very excited for this place to open. I'd never been to a Guthrie's, but several people I know sang their praises. Seemed like a pretty good fan base. I wasn't put off by the very limited menu. In fact it raised my expectations with the logic that with such a limited menu the food should be amazing. Sadly, it's very average at best. The chicken is bland, their signature sauce is nothing more than onion blossom sauce from any chain restaurant, and it's generally overpriced. I went there twice (I'll give pretty much any place two chances unless the first time is beyond horrible) and probably won't be back. I wish it was a better review, but this place generally sucks. read more

This is an embarrassingly sub-par attempt to compete with Raising Canes and Zaxbys. The guy who took our order was nice, but that's about the only positive. They charge you for a cup of ice water and the meals don't include a drink. This is absolutely ridiculous, charging $8+ for chicken fingers and fries and then charging another $2 for a drink; $10 for a mediocre chicken meal? No thanks. The chicken fingers (which they claim to specialize in) are so small, a couple of them looked like nuggets. The trash cans were overflowing and the tables were all dirty. We will not be back as we plan to stick with Zaxbys and hope Raising Canes branches out this way soon. read more

Food was good it was hot although I did go during lunch time around 1:30 PM. This is literally a version of Raising Canes. The fries are little wider and the top bun has no seeds but this is literally raising canes I'm not sure how this company is doing this because down to the sauce and menu this is a copycat raising canes. Until the real Canes comes to GA I will be visiting this version. Took a little longer than I'd like in a drive thru line but the food was super hot so it made up for it. read more

I give 3 stars simply because the unit we visit has recently gone to smaller, less desirable chicken strips. The French fries are thicker than the chicken strips. I did notice on my last purchase the cook dropped in an extra piece probably because he noticed the same thing. I would rather pay more for larger, thicker pieces than less for fatty, thin one. My visits to this location will be reduced drastically to once every six weeks instead of every 7-10 days. The staff is great, hard working, friendly and helpful. I know it's tough to get supplies but be more creative even if it involves a price increase. read more

We went to Guthrie's off of Sixes Road in Woodstock this past Sunday from Kennesaw. They had an 85 score and then they had no hot sauce for the chicken and no ketchup for the fries. The customer service was lacking. Very disappointing meal for the price you pay (over $10 for chicken fingers, side, and a drink). No wonder they built this restaurant away from a Chick-fil-A and Zaxby's. It would never survive. read more

I'm not a chicken finger person but a friend suggested we try the new chicken restaurant about a month ago. Wow their Guthrie's sauce is amazing! Made me a chicken finger and fries fan! I'm a big fan of their food but I'm giving this place 2 stars because every time I go, the customer service is terrible and that really makes or breaks a place for me. Very disappointing because their food is so yummy but don't like being treated so poorly. Whoever the brunette with the curly hair is in the drive thru doesn't like her job very much....a simple hello or a smile can change someone's day in the drive thru. I know it's a fast food place and I'm not expecting Chick Fil a service here but I'm still spending my money, simple manners isn't too much to ask for. read more
