The cucumbers in vinegar was not great hit with my friend who ordered a side salad, but I liked it . According to another frienf her jalopino coleslaw was too spicy. However, I was in 7th heaven. My portobello mushroom, spinach quesadilla was to die for. It was cooked on a grill and had cheese in it. Sooo good, probably the best quesadilla I had in a long time. I will definitely go back for another one soon. They seem to be busy breakfast and lunch place because they close early. Service was great and the owner/cashier very helpful. I've noticed that Guthries was franchising so hoped one day I would be somewhere I could try it. Well today is the day. I'm just going to summarize my feeling right now. I do not want more restaurants with bland chicken and a special sauce. Just stop with the sauce, season the bird! I went in, ordered at the counter, sat down and waited about ten minutes for my order. The chicken was a little overcooked and could use some seasoning. The crinkle fries were crisp but just were not hitting and I like the crinkle style. The toast was properly cooked but was limp. Ok Guthries is a known tradition, people like, but it is not for me.

The chicken was so dry and hard you couldn't eat it. Called the store no one picked up. Got back dressed and went back to the location. Super rude and seemed irritated that I was complaining. Today (8/8/26) decided to stop by again. Ordered through the drive through. Got home and never failed once again very disappointed. Everything is super salty to the point it's almost inedible. Everything down the Guthries sauce. The chicken fingers have gotten so small they look like large chicken nuggets. The fries are burnt. Well this was the last for me. I will be going next door to Chick-Fi-la. DO BETTER GUTHRIES

We both got the same thing; Peppered Brown Butter Pan Seared Flounder with mashed potatoes and mac and cheese. Every single part of this meal was amazing! At most places, I feel like the mashed potatoes aren't buttery enough, but they were delicious! I usually hate mashed potatoes with skin/chunks but this was so good that I didn't even care. The flounder was amazing. I'm a picky eater so I was nervous about the garnishes on it, but it was half the best part! I love putting lemon on my fish as well and the server brought me some no problem. I will DEFINITELY be coming here again!

While the staff was friendly, their concern for safe food handling practices were nonexistent. There were no gloves, no handwashing and no concern for hygiene as they dug their bare hands into a Sara Lee burger bun bag and plated up a burger patty that'd been sitting in lukewarm water and slapped a piece of American cheese on top of it. It was like getting served by a toddler putting together play food in their make believe kitchen. I was truly astonished. Like I said, service was kind and country friendly, but that alone can't be the reason to keep this counter service spot in business. The food quality and safety was questionable and the food itself tasted worse than I'd expect prison food to taste like. At the end of the meal, I glanced and saw the health score and if I recall, their score was in the 70s. I've since looked at their health score history and see they have no intent in changing behaviors of cleanliness, as they've been repeat offenders of improper holding food temperature, cross contamination, and use of open container beverages among food prep areas. What can you say? You get what you pay for, I guess.

My experience at every single Zaxby's is pretty poor, but cartersville location by the hospital is…read moreBY FAR the WORST. In the past couple years, I've been to Zaxby's only a couple times, and here is my experiences: waiting 45 minutes in a parking lot while waiting for an order that was placed ONLINE 20 MINUTES BEFOREHAND. They once threw away my receipt without asking if I want it, THEN decided to ask if I wanted it, and I said "I did but it's fine", and instead of accepting my decline or reprinting the receipt, they FISH IT OUT OF THE TRASH AND GIVE IT TO ME. Found multiple short, black, curly hairs in my milkshake. And while those were all on separate occasions, here is something that happens without fail at EVERY ZAXBY'S location. You pay for every single sauce you get, and THEN THEY DON'T GIVE THEM. Most fast food chains at least let you have a couple free sauces and charge you for excessive amounts. But Zaxby's charges for every individual sauce. And then you find that it's not in your bag or any of your boxes. I think it's ridiculous to charge for a 1 tablespoon serving of sauce in the first place, but then to hold them hostage from customers is insane. It happens so much I almost think the managers TELL their employees to do this so that they can make a couple extra bucks. The workers are always cold and miserable towards you. No matter how many times you say "thank you", "good evening", "have a good day", it's always the same. And I know it's not just my bad luck either, I've never heard anything good about the Cartersville Zaxby's. I got my blood drawn the other week, and the workers were talking lunch, and upon someone suggesting Zaxby's, another worker shared that they got food poisoning from this location recently.... I don't understand why anyone would ever want to go here. Price is higher than a cat's ass for the worst service you'll ever receive.

Walking to Mike's place the first thing that hits you is the smell of the roasting meats in their ovens.
