It had a good flavor, and the chicken was nice and tender; it felt right off the bone, and some of the bones were crumbling. The side of rice it came with the was great for soaking up the broth. I was informed there was new Managment at Alisha's kitchen. I decided I could go for some oxtails. Entering the store I was greeted by Sam pretty soon he introduced me to AJ. Good people very friendly. Though I ordered my food to go it didn't take long. I tried the soul food side of the menu, and placed my order for oxtails with two sides of collard greens and Mac and cheese. It paired nicely two corned muffins. The oxtails were good served in brown gravy over white rice. It was delicious everything was seasoned very well. The Mac and cheese! I could eat the Mac by itself. The greens were seasoned and cooked just right not mushy but not hard either. I will return with family and friends to get their honest opinion. Cartersville go check out Alisha's place! Came in to place a togo order for the BBQ, a pulled pork plate with green beans and baked beans. It took about 10 minutes for the food to be ready. Also your Pho soup doesn't contain what it should, list as following More bean sprouts, basil cilantro, sliced fresh jalapenos hoison sauce Sriracha, lots of lime too much in the noodle dept, not enough protein. And broth taste like you poured a box of salt in. Couldn't get beyond the salt water taste. Stick with the barbeque. Thai is not your foretay. I selected the Monster Potato stuffed with brisket. It was so delicious and over-stuffed with Brisket!! I was impressed with the portion size and the pricing was just right. So well worth the selection. Now, let's discuss how customers should be treated because they could teach a class on customer appreciation! From the time we entered until the time we left everyone made us feel welcome. We met her daughter, who came to the table 3 times to inquire were we pleased with our food and if we needed anything else! Outstanding! She also asked about water or more lemonade. I came to the Soul Food Sunday and had the fried fish, mac and cheese, and greens with a peach lemonade. Everything was delightful! The catfish fried to perfection! First things first, As Michael T. pointed out...you may want to call ahead because they are in the same area everyday. The food truck is located in the parking lot of TitleMax/Kroger off of Hwy 41 and Main St. As for the food...yum! I keep hearing about this "monster potato" but I really wanted to try something else as well. So I opted for a mini (a smaller but still hefty potato) and a rib. The potato was smashing...topped with brisket (you can choose between brisket, chicken, or pork), cheese, bbq, and ranch. I mean seriously? How can that combination fail? Great flavor and I loved the sauce. As for the rib...tender, nice smokey flavor, and the honey-esque bbq sauce added a nice finish. I had a brisket sandwich and the meat was good but the bun was no good (it was soggy instantly) and was just a normal hamburger bun. I did not care for the cole slaw. I have also tried a pulled chicken sandwich which was good. Their sandwich baskets come with 1 side and a drink for about $8 which is not bad. They have a food safety score of 100A. read more

I came in the other day and tried this little bbq joint. It wasn't bad but it really wasn't anything that special either. Nice clean place with a very nice staff. I had the sampler platter with 2 ribs and both my meat choices were brisket. I got fries and bbq beans. The ribs were pretty good. Fall off the bone tender, which I like, and good taste and smoke ring. Unfortunately I can't say the same about the brisket. If you have seen my other reviews you know that I love me some brisket!!! It was more like a slightly undercooked and chewy pot roast. In fact they served it on my plate in a puddle of its own au jus. No smoke ring no real smoke flavor and just gray looking meat. The fries were hot and fresh and the beans tasted like canned but with meat added and some seasoning. The Texas toast was barely toasted and soft unfortunately. They were out of collards which was sad to hear since they only have a few regular sides that come with the platters everything else is a premium side that costs $2 extra per side including their Mac and cheese!!!! Im not gonna pay extra for Mac and cheese cause everyone else sells it as a regular side! A few changes would go a long way at Alisha's. Add a few more sides or drop the premium price! The ribs and two nice ladies made this place 3 stars but that's it. read more

I've never been able to finish an entire serving but that doesn't stop me from trying.
