Staff was friendly, but the beef was overcooked. It was quite mushy. Not much in the area to choose from tho.

I stopped in about 1 on a Tuesday and it was fairly quiet. The staff was very friendly, which is always a huge plus. I ordered the brisket basket, sweet tea, and a red velvet cupcake to go. All the food was made fresh, and they were VERY generous with their portions! I think the brisket was better as a sandwich, but it was a great lunch. I'm excited to try a few other choices next time I'm there, which will be soon! If you're traveling I-75, don't stop at the fast food giants for a meal. Expecting the crunch of a gizzard, I was disappointed to find the gizzards broken down. A small disappointment overshadowed by the lack of flavor in 4 of the 5 items we tried. I rarely leave food and left half a plate. Not sure if it was the gizzards or the roasted ribs (not smoked folks just do you know), but my wife and I have been physically ill since dinner 6 hours ago. I'm hoping this too shall pass . Bottom line, skip it.

My kind recommendation from a local that wants y'all to grow and succeed - invest in technology and staff training immediately. We went on a few days that was crowded and busy. This coffee and bagel shop doesn't have true competition around, so for local patrons the options are limited. By the time we got to the counter after standing in a long line, the staff had run out of printer paper to take our order. So the team decided to handwrite our order (which then led to us receiving an incorrect order on top of a long wait) Now the food itself I give it a 4/5 (this is the potential part) As for the staff & ambiance/ atmosphere: 1/5 The staff was kind but they did not have the tools to be set up for success. To the management, stop making your staff look bad. We want to support and see yall flourish so please invest in their training and better pos technology to streamline the bottleneck at the counter. Also, better coffee options wouldn't hurt. Kind regards.

Walking to Mike's place the first thing that hits you is the smell of the roasting meats in their ovens. The sweet smell of roasting ham and the smell of garlic and spices on the roast beef kicked up my appetite. I ordered a sandwich called the Ferdi. I think it's the best sandwich I ever ate! Served on a soft hoagie roll and stacked with ham, roast beef, shredded cabbage, pickles, a creole mustard and debris. Debris ...You know those little juicy pieces of roast beef at the bottom of the roasting pan... That's "debris" the secrete ingredient in the Ferdi sandwhich that's sets it apart and raises the sandwhich flavor to "over the moon"! We were greeted enthusiastically by the nicest Southern gals. It's a quaint, small town "Meat 'N Three" place. The lot had pickups (great sign) and some local old fellers, about my age , who were wrapping up their afternoon lunch and coffee. All signs pointed to a good experience. The tea was fresh, strong, and hit the table as soon a my narrow butt hit the seat. The food was fast as well. Country fried steak, cole slaw, and mashed potatoes were fine. Graves-homemade. The green beans, greens, pintos (aka soup beans), toast, biscuit, and cobbler were top notch Southern delicacies. Several others were recommended, namely the home fried, fried mac 'n cheese, and fried corn. I mean, based on other reviews, the cheeseburger and chicken biscuit are next on our lists to try. If you have a bad experience here, you're trying hard.

My app told me the food would be ready by 1130 a.m., thus, I arrived at this location, and sent my boyfriend in to retrieve our food. To my surprise, he came back, empty-handed, to report the woman at the register; someone I would soon find out was the owner, had told him our food had been picked up. Mind-boggled, I entered the restaurant and told her it was 'impossible' that someone could have picked up our food. She haughtily grabbed the receipt and said someone in a red sedan had picked up my food stating my name and phone #. In disbelief, I asked her to show me the camera footage where it would show such a person picking up my food (I mostly wanted this footage for the police). Interestingly, she said it was not working. At this point, I insisted that my food could not have been picked up as I am originally from CT, and would find it rather unbelievable that someone should have my private info to pick up Subway sandwiches, of all things. Avidly concerned, I proceeded to call the Bartow Police, and it was at this moment, she mentioned she would re-make the food. She then proceeded to call the individual she reported had taken my food, who now claimed he had not picked up any orders. (I am not surprised this person would claim ignorance as she called my old CT number on file). Shortly before the police arrived, she called someone and said they would need to speak to me. I had no problem with speaking to whomever she had called. The cops arrived onsite and proceeded to speak to me about the incident. The duo (female/male) went to speak to the son (whom had arrived a little while ago) and the mother outside of Subway. He reported he was co-owner with her. When the cops returned, the female officer seemed puzzled I had called as they (mother/son duo) must have told her they were preparing my food. I explained to the female officer, that the female owner had clearly explained to me, while at the register, that someone had given her my name and phone # to gather my food. The female cop explained they were re-making my food, which I expected, since I paid for it. It is not as if I was asking to be gifted food which I had not paid for. The officer believed that the woman's thick Indian accent and the possible accent of the person who had picked up my food, may have caused a miscommunication. She stated that the other person had never provided the owner with my name or number, contrary to what the owner had previously told me. That they would prepare my food and wanted me to leave once I received my food. I had no qualms about leaving, though I felt the request to leave was if I was deemed the criminal for her ineptitude. When the male owner pulled the 3-4 print-out orders of food placed earlier in the day, in order to show the police, no other receipts had the name "Heidi" on them. This was not an error of same name, wrong order dispensed. Furthermore, when the female owner apologized to the cops, her son had the gall to say to her that she need not apologize. In such a case, I should have received an apology for this error, but I did not, from either of these "outstanding" co-owners. I understand human mistake. I certainly do. But when your human error makes a person worry that their information has been hacked, or that someone is impersonating them, I will say there is cause for concern and duress. In addition, how many people would not be irate that their food has been stolen. Even if the food is being remade, there is principle. This could have all been avoided had someone simply said, "We made a mistake and gave your food to another w/o verifying vs. "Someone came by and gave me your name and number and they picked up your food." So, just a warning to any patrons that use this establishment. As one can conclude, I shall not order from this location, again.
