If I could give negative stars I would!! I have NEVER seen a place ran more poorly! My husband and I decided to stop for the first time ever at the Ball ground Burger Bus, excited to try it!! When we entered, we were discouraged to stay and told there would be a wait. When I asked if anyone was close to finishing their meal, I was told no that everyone there had just been seated! We waited 35 minutes for a table (which is fine BUT..) when they decided to seat a family of 4 before us that had only been there for 15 minutes. The family they were seating was even SO shocked that they looked at us and said no you guys were here first and apologized. When I asked the young waitress why she skipped us, she replied that the table was for 4. I expressed that it was not ok to skip over us and that we were not going to keep waiting while they continue to skip over us and that we would leave. She shrugged and said "Ok" while the short fat woman that was training her looked in our faces and loudly said "Oh well"! When we got in the car and I called for the manager, she first blamed us for leaving and then tried to blame the waitress in training. I'm not sure what training has to do with common sense or etiquette but it seems as though none of the 3 women had either! This ENTIRE experience was HORRIBLE!! We hope anyone who sees this review will stay away from this HORRIBLE place!!! If I could give negative stars I would!! I have NEVER seen a place ran more poorly! Another beautiful day in Ball Ground and people were on the streets painting gorgeous pictures. Many families with children also enjoying the comfort of The Burger Bus. The servers were very polite and welcoming upon arrival and checked on us about every 5-7 minutes. The food was cooked perfectly when our Cali Burger and Golden Crown Burger arrived with sides and drink. Keep up the great job Burger Bus staff and owner. read more

Great place for a delicious burger. We had great service and the weather was very pleasant. My husband ordered the burger with wasabi mayonnaise, oh my goodness--I can't even remember what else was on his because I was enjoying mine so much. I had the Cali burger but I substituted the pepper jack cheese for plain cheddar. It was fun watching this small town life with young and elderly alike walking around. read more

Ball Ground Burger Bus - Some of the nostalgia - American Near Me - Ball Ground, Georgia

Extremely rude customer service, particularly from the manager, James. My family placed a to-go order for five different meals and spent over $100. When we asked for honey mustard to go with our french fries, James accused us of trying to get free food. He angrily told us it's "not normal" to want sauce with fries and charged us over $1 for every sauce we requested. We were even charged extra for ranch that was supposed to come with one of the meals we ordered. When I simply asked for clarification about the charges, James became hostile and yelled, "Just because you are a resident doesn't entitle you to free food." Again, we were talking about sauce to go with french fries we had already bought and paid for. Being spoken to that way after spending over $100 on a family meal was completely unacceptable. James has no business being a manager if this is how he handles a basic customer question. Burger Bus just lost a customer. The food simply isn't worth putting up with such a basic lack of respect and dignity. There was not one iota of customer service to be found here. read more

Ball Ground Burgers is bussin'! Worth every penny. I lucked out with a parking spot right in front of the place--which felt like a sign. I knew I'd be in downtown Ball Ground and came across this spot on Yelp. I didn't even stop to read the reviews--just saw solid ratings and gave it a shot. So imagine my surprise when I found out the "restaurant" is actually a converted old-school bus parked on the railroad tracks. Super cool. The bus itself feels like a piece of history, but the energy inside is modern and welcoming. The staff were upbeat, the vibe was lively, and the tight, elbow-to-elbow seating made it feel like a community table experience. Between me and my fiancée, we ordered a large portion of onion rings and sweet potato fries--and probably should've gone with the regular size, but they were so fresh and hot we couldn't stop eating. Now let's talk burgers. I ordered their Kali Burger, which from my understanding was a limited-time specialty burger--they rotate them out occasionally. If you see it on the menu, get it. It was flavorful, well-balanced, and worth the calories. My fiancée had the Angry Swiss and added a fried green tomato. It also came with fried mushrooms, which surprised me that she enjoyed--but she ate every bite (minus the one I got to try, of course). Honestly, the burgers alone are worth the trip. The sides were just a bonus. Everything was cooked perfectly, and we didn't wait long at all for our food. Heads up: you pay at the end, and the only con is the small, tight front area. You've got people ordering, paying, waiting for seats--all in the same narrow spot. It can feel a little crowded, but it's part of the charm. One of the servers even offered to turn off the A/C unit beside me in the bus--really thoughtful service. And before you leave--look around the bus. It's easy to miss how much character and history this place holds if you don't take a moment to soak it all in. If I'm ever back in Ball Ground, I'm definitely eating here again. With tip I think I spent about $45...worth it! read more

We had heard not great things, but we had such a great experience!! The food was wonderful. Service was great. Atmosphere was fun. Loved it!

Ball Ground burger bus was an excellent choice if you're in the area. Not only is the restaurant connected to a bus where you can sit down and eat inside, but their menu selection is extensive and has something for everyone. I really enjoyed the ambiance of the restaurant. I think the bus was a cool and unique touch to add. The staff was very friendly and greeted us immediately as we sat down. The food was delicious and the fries & sweet potato tots were crispy and definitely a must try if dine here. read more

Service was great, and the 1386 burger and fries I got were great! Side note: I added jalapeños to my burger... they were not pickled, they were straight up jalapeno slices, I was not prepared lol. I was able to take them off, but I just wanted to note that if you do ask for jalapeños they're raw and not cooked or pickled in any way. Also, my fries were phenomenal, and my friend got the onions rings and practically inhaled them, I will definitely try those next time. The whole bus experience was cool, I think it's a very neat idea, and the food was great! read more

Love the location of this place, despite the long drive. It's quaint, a little weird, and eclectic. This is the second time I've had a burger in a bus so going here came with a bit of nostalgia for Alaska. Pretty stand-up crew running this place. Very friendly, very attentive, and the food was out quickly. You walk into what appears to be a building and end up sitting in the interior of a bus. As you might expect, the seating is extremely limited. There's outdoor dining, but of course, you'll want to make sure it's nice out. :-) The burgers are good. I got the 1386 to have as simple a burger as possible. It was good but not exceptional. The onion rings are on point, too. What really stood out for me though was the chili! It's all beef so not exactly my favorite style, but it was really tasty. I think the chili over tots would have been outstanding. Gotta do that next time. read more

Wow, not only is the decor unique, but the food is uniquely delicious! If you are rolling though, stop in for either take-out or eat-in! They had a great local beer selection, I enjoyed one of the two sours that they had. The staff is very friendly, super knowledgeable, and hilarious. Some of the best burgers that we have had in all of GA. Pro tip: get the fried green tomato burger with pimento cheese and extra homemade pickles (their pickles are started in gin, and then finished in a dill pickling mixture- maybe you all should sell them in jars, I know a few of us would purchase them regularly) read more

Always a great burger. Everything about the burger bus screams Appalachia Georgia. The burgers are consistently good although and are usually a 4/5. The dining room is enough reason to give the place a try on its own. Operating inside an old school bus, the burger bus has a simple and effective burger menu and all the burgers are generally pretty good. Super fun place to eat and servers are always very nice and charmful. Super cool to eat inside. read more

Without a doubt one of if not the best burger I ever had! I got the Doc Guac burger that was cooked perfectly and had a wonderful taste, the fries were excellent and seasoned very well. Staff were very friendly and helpful. And of course the star attraction being the bus itself. Small but not claustrophobic like some smaller places are. The burger bus is the right balance of being small but not cramped and it works so well, absolutely loved it! read more

If you want a burger that absolutely HITS THE SPOT, come here!! I was honestly so amazed at how good these burgers were. The first thing you'll notice is their signature Burger Bus; we actually were able to score a seat in here (party of four)! The food came out quickly and was so delicious that we devoured some tots before I could even take the picture. The prices are fair for the portion sizes and quality and I would definitely come back here again if I find myself in the area. *This review is from an experience pre-COVID. read more

Perfect in every way! Stopped by this little jewel on our way to the North Georgia Mountains quite by accident. It was Wednesday in November around lunch and after a short wait we were seated in the infamous bus for a very pleasant experience. I had the Dads on Death Row burger and it was excellent. The thought of fried grits on a burger wide give pause but it added the perfect crispy crunch to the burger. Mingled with the over easy egg... just perfect. Price was in line with any other burger in town. The atmosphere was very unexpectedly comfortable. Nothing bad to say. read more

Had the Doc's Guac burger here and it was simply delicious! Loved the feeling of eating in a bus, it felt like being a kid again on your way to a school field trip. First things first, I'm a burger lover. Don't misunderstand, I'm not necessarily a burger snob (I'll thrown down a double cheese Krystal, no mustard, no pickle) but I would much rather have an awesome gourmet burger. I had actually seen BGBB on an influencer's IG awhile back as she lives nearby and I'll make a mental note of any place with "burger" in the name. So when I saw it mentioned online again recently, I asked my husband if he'd ever been and when he said no - it was on! We took his daughter for lunch on a gorgeous Sunday, so even though there was no seating on the bus, we were perfectly happy sitting at a table outside. I got the Fried Green Jacket, husband got something the cashier recommended and my stepdaughter got chicken fingers & fries... Teenagers, amirite?! We also got an order of onion rings to share. The wait time was a little long, I suppose, but it was pretty busy and I guess it's better to know it's being made fresh. We just quietly played some music at our table and people-watched. My burger was fan-flipping-tastic. Every ingredient played so well together, you just can't miss with a FGT and pimento cheese. My husband's burger had fresh jalapeños on it, so I was reluctant to have a bite, but it was delicious and not overly spicy. The onion rings were perfect and we loved the dipping sauce. My stepdaughter isn't particularly descriptive about food, and they were just tendies & fries, but she inhaled them - so that's positive! Husband & I would love to go back and try the fried hot dogs, although I'd be hard-pressed not to get the same burger again because yum. read more

What a fun place and interesting concept. The unique thing about Burger Bus is their fantastic burgers. My 4yo son and I drove here from Holly Springs one early afternoon for dinner while my wife and daughter were out of town, and we'll definitely be taking the ladies when we go again! The bus is the dining room, and it was actually more spacious than I had imagined, but I've heard it fills up fairly quickly. They also have picnic tables outside, and another park with tables is in easy walking distance. They acknowledge their common waiting line with discounted adult beverages, so that was a nice example of how welcoming the staff here are! Our waitress gave great recommendations and checked on us regularly without hovering, and I'm glad she told me the maple syrup made my breakfast burger, because had I left it off it wouldn't have been as good! My son passed on hotdogs to eat a plain burger, which was surprising, but he says he wants to go back "one a hundred times a day," so I think he's a fan. It was empty by the time we finished, so while I was paying the bill and chatting with the staff, he had the run of the bus to play and "drive"! They were experiencing some difficulty with their card point of sale system, for which they apologized profusely. I was on a casual afternoon, so it didn't bother me at all, and they went above and beyond in making it right for our wait. Next time, I'll probably take some cash just in case it happens again when I'm pressed for time, but there will definitely be a next time! If you're anywhere near this area and looking for something different for ambiance without sacrificing on the quality of the food, please give them your business! read more

Ok so let's be honest visiting here is all about eating in a bus lol. Well seating in the bus is limited so we had to eat outside.
