    Salmon, Filet

Haven't been here since I was a kid! This was wonderful. We went around lunchtime on the wknd. They had a great looking buffet brunch, but we opted to order off menu. I had salmon with side of fried onion strings and daughter had filet. Excellent food. Swift, pleasant service. Very cozy atmosphere. Would be a great place for date night, a group, or just casual like we did. Highly recommend!

    CHICKEN FRIED LOBSTER

This place is truly rustic; it smells woody. Not a bad thing, it was just the first thing I noticed when we walked in. We had a reservation but it wasn't full or even halfway full so they didn't ask- just took us to a table. The server came out really quickly and was very cheerful. We ordered drinks and the calamari appetizer which the man really enjoyed. It was cooked and seasoned perfectly. For the main entree I asked about the chicken fried lobster but the server had never had it. She mentioned that it was pretty popular so I went ahead and opted for that with the wedge salad and grilled squash. The man ordered the ribeye with onion strings and a baked potato. The salad was so good. I could have just had that and been happy. The lobster was ok. The batter was pretty overpowering but the lobster was cooked nicely. The ribeye was cooked to perfection. We spent just under $210 with tip. I could go back but it wouldn't be at the top of my list.

We had reservations and got there about 20 minutes early. We noticed people coming in after us with no reservations were being seated before us. When we asked where we were in the list we were told we wouldn't be seated until our reservation time. Odd to me but okay, I guess. I did think the wait for the food was long but giving grace because it was prom weekend and they had several parties. Considering that the waitress did her best being attentive but a person can only do so much. The food was good. The pork chop was overcooked for my liking. The steak was cooked to perfection. Ironically enough the salad was the best thing for me. I could have gotten that and would have been satisfied.

This place is on the pricey side, but the service is great! We split the steak fajitas. The meat was tender and had a lot of flavor.

Bad fajitas and a combo plate

Skip it. We meant to go to the Dallas location which is rated better than this one but we came here because my boyfriend picked the wrong address on our gps. Big mistake. The food was mediocre at best, the people next to us were so loud and were talking about super personal things at the table. Our tables were so incredibly close so it was hard not to feel like we were in their conversation. My fajitas were not seasoned. They were the worst fajitas I've never had. My boyfriend got a combo plate and that was okay. The cigars were the best part of his meal. We immediately tipped the person who was there for live music when we got there because she didn't have any money in her guitar case but then she quickly took a "break" and came back on right before we left. When we left we noticed that she took the money we gave her out of her case and it was empty again so that must be a strategy she uses to get more money. The whole experience was not good. With so many better options, just skip this.

Very cool little restaurant. The ambiance was very fun! The menu was a bit lacking and I had a hard time finding something to order, but once I figured out what to get, it was a good experience. Decent food but very pricy! We ordered 2 entrees and that's all and it was $90+ for a steak and a chicken sandwich. That's my only real complaint.

    Patio seating with live music
    Arun P.

Making a reservation online was easy. The restaurant was busy and had to wait at the reception before we could be seated. The reservation was for patio seating but they gave us a table inside and we requested a table in the patio. What's the point of a reservation if the details are overlooked? The live band inside the patio was good. Be aware that drinks in the patio are served in plastic cups only. Started off with margaritas which were nothing to rave about. Chose to switch to red wine. Guacamole for the appetizer was ok and so were the steaks. Service at the table was good but there were misses on requests. Overall an ok-ish experience. Pricing : High, considering the experience. Not worth the money spent. Will I return? : Probably not given there are restaurants that offer a great experience in the area.

Upon entering their cafe/ gift shop, I noticed they had a Stranger Things Theme. There were a few families that were enjoying the large sitting area with couches, tables and table games. They really spent a long time crafting this theme and I really enjoyed all of the themed touches. I ordered a "Plain Jane" ice coffee which was delicious. You could see small pieces of graham cracker that added a good flavor. They had some baked goods available in addition to soda. They also offered a coffee flight which is something I would order if I was spending time with friends. There was one barista which did a great job keeping up with orders and communicating with customers. Next, I ventured out to check out their event space. They had an indoor event space with a shaded outdoor space right next to it with a bar area as well. After checking out the event space I looked at their flower, herbs and small cactuses outside the cafe. They had a small selection but good quality plants for a modest price. I also checked out their selection of pots and various plants outside the event space in additional to looking at their selection of trees and shrubs. Honey Locust would be a place I'd come to get coffee with friends as well as watch for any events they might have with the community. The theming they do in the coffee shop is fun and definitely worth coming to check out with your friends or family. All age levels would enjoy time here.

I booked a block of rooms here for my wedding and the staff completely ruined what should have been a stress-free experience. On the NIGHT of my wedding, they canceled my own room--claiming it was due to "maintenance issues." Imagine my shock when I stood in the lobby and personally witnessed them checking in another couple right after me. Clearly, this wasn't maintenance--it was dishonesty. I reached out to corporate several times, but the Rockwall location kept closing my claim without resolution and refused to return my calls. The lack of accountability and professionalism is beyond appalling. I have every reason to believe they oversold the hotel and deliberately canceled the rooms booked at lower rates first. To do this to any guest is unacceptable, but to do it to a bride on her wedding night is absolutely unforgivable. If you're considering booking a room block with them--don't. They are unprofessional, unreliable, and their customer service is non-existent. Save yourself the stress and look elsewhere, because this hotel will not have your back when it matters most.

We learned about Spookly the Pumpkin and enjoyed the most amazing pumpkin popsicles on the planet. We came back this month for the Blueberries. SO FUN. Yes, wear boots, especially after rain. The property is luscious with trees and a creek. They also have bee hives you can observe (from a safe distance). The blueberry popsicles are amazing. All four flavors of Spring popsicles were delicious. We had a popsicle "flight" and tried them all! Restrooms are porta-potties with a hand washing pump sink, so come prepared with your little tot oxo car potty if you're like me and would rather take littles to the car to potty. The owner, Jill, is such a gracious host. She is delightful and enjoys meeting everyone! I am not being negative, it just did not register with me. That all changed today when my granddaughter's dance company held a recital at Acacia Collective. My first observation was that there was ample parking, which was nice. In addition to the parking lot in front, there was also an even larger lot in the back. Walking in, I was impressed again. The architecture and its use of woods helped make the place very inviting and relaxing. The people inside were as welcoming as the facility itself. There is a lot going on here... The Acacia Collective houses an auditorium, a coffee shop, a childcare/mother's day out facility, an l shared work space, and more. At the tables there were puzzles being built, people drinking coffee, people enjoying the wonderful baked goods from the coffee shop, and others enjoying the Wi-Fi on their laptops and more. I personally had an Asiago bagel with cream cheese, and also a cinnamon role muffin. Both were delicious! I would be remiss if I finished this review without mentioning the staff at the coffee shop. They were super polite and a joy to interact with. Great customer service! They also worked hard handling the influx of people. Acacia Collective also proved to be a great place to hold a dance recital!
