But the hostesses were so kind about it and somehow found us a cozy booth in about ten minutes! Morgan took great care of us all night and made it feel easy and relaxed. We stumbled on this place after looking for a local store. This is in a newer hype part of Franklin, near lots of options for food. We walked in and were greeted right away, and even though we didn't have a reservation, they put us on the list for a quick 10 minute wait. We went to the bar first and the bar tender was very helpful in providing us recommendations for drinks, I got the Cali & Tay margarita and my husband got the Playboi Stache. Both drinks were really food, mine was more on the spicy side, but I like spicy! One we were sat, our server Zoe was so sweet and helpful in making suggestions for what her favorites are. We ordered the BBQ pork belly nachos as the appetizer, sooo good! Perfect to share and the pork belly was poked to perfection. For my dinner, I ordered the Korean rib eye cap. The meat was cooked perfectly and melted in your mouth. It had onions, mushrooms and bean sprouts, and the sauce was divine! My husband had the spicy rigatoni, also excellent! The sauce was so flavorful and the portions were just right. We ended our meal with the monkey bread which was amazing! They pair it with cooked apples and vanilla ice cream, melts in your mouth! Even with all that, we walked away not feeling over stuffed and will definitely be back! The restaurant has a great vibe, a tad loud because of the hard floors, but still a great ambiance. If you have a big group, I'd recommend making reservations! It was only 2 of us, so it was easy to slip in without one. read more

The service was excellent on a very busy Sunday. The food was very good. Fried chicken and biscuit had some awesome gravy. I'll order anything with Old Bay seasoning but that gravy was great. Didn't realize it was a chain as I tend to dine at local eateries. As a local, we have so many new restaurants to try it blows my mind! This didn't feel like a chain and the crowd was extremely diverse which is a plus for us. I got the Pub Burger which was amazing while extremely messy. There are so many more selections (menu a 10 out of 10). I look forward to trying in the future. It's like someone shined a light in my brain and took all my secret food desires! read more

Ugh, I want to love this place- great location, fun vibe, great sports bar area. We had a less than awesome experience on a packed Saturday night- we addressed the issues with management while we were there (server was not prepared to be working a busy night, didn't know the menu, forgot our order, took 30 minutes to get drinks, only received part of our order and she asked if we were even still hungry and wanted the rest of our food...unfortunately I could go on- all that to say, she was very nice and by no means did anything on purpose, she was just new and inexperienced in hospitality service). That said, management handled the situation as best they could- we will give this restaurant another try because honestly, almost every other table other than the three in our section appeared to be having a great evening and the food on their tables looked great (some of the items were ones that we ordered but never received). I'm going to attribute our experience to the growing pains of opening a new location and working out the kinks of service. Hopeful to have a better experience in the future. read more

They offer live music on certain nights, which we weren't present for; that feature may add significantly to the experience. The menu is familiar, though nothing in particular stood out. We tried the wagyu beef pigs in a blanket, which tasted similar to supermarket versions, and the prime rib au jus, prepared medium-rare as requested. The food was fine and filled the need, but nothing was especially memorable in flavor or presentation. Overall, it's a pleasant spot for a casual bite, perhaps more so if you catch the live music, but the dishes themselves didn't leave a lasting impression -- the kind of meal you might easily recreate at home. read more

Beautiful restaurant but extremely loud. The food was okay. The spicy California roll was teeny tiny, had zero flavor, and tasted a bit like tuna from a can. The Chopped Chicken salad was bland and unappetizing. Forced down half of it and left the rest. The MAC burger was very good. The fresh pretzels with fondue were amazing. Don't think we'll be back. A new favorite. My husband and I dined for the first time for brunch at Culinary Dropout. The staff greeted us with warmth and we were shown to a booth. The live music playing was wonderful and not too overpowering as to drowned out the conversation. Our server Becca was very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu and gave us suggestions based on our likes and dislikes. We had management check in on us at the table just to see how our experience was going which we found refreshing. The chef and cooking staff were very diligent in food safety and preparation as I watched from the booth. They took care with each plate making sure everything was perfect before sending it out to a guest. I got Chicken with gravy and biscuit with a side of potatoes and my husband chose their burrito. The food came out hot and fresh as it's a made from scratch kitchen. Our portions were large and were a great value for the price. Cocktails had fresh ingredients including pressed juices which added depth of flavor. I can say for the first time in a long time everything from start to finish was perfect. I've been to Culinary Dropout three times just this week, and every visit has been such a great experience! Once for lunch, where I had the rainbow roll and feta tahini dip. Both so fresh and flavorful. I came back for happy hour and tried the sangria and spicy tuna crispy rice, which were the perfect combo, especially with the great energy at the bar. And today's brunch sealed the deal for me. The fried chicken was incredible, crispy and seasoned just right. The ambiance is always amazing, especially with the live music and how beautiful the patio is on a nice day. I also want to shout out Carolina, the bartender. From the moment we walked in, we received true VIP treatment. We went for brunch while visiting Franklin for the day, and everything about the experience was unforgettable. The star of the show was without question the white truffle deviled eggs--absolutely incredible. We also shared the soft pretzel with provolone fondue, hot wings with the best ranch I've ever had, the whipped feta and tahini dip, and the slicer board. Every dish was delicious and perfectly prepared. For drinks, the Serrano & jalapeño Bloody Mary was bold and super spicy--perfect if you like a real kick. I personally loved the heirloom vegetable Bloody Mary for something fresh and unique. The house-made fresh-squeezed POG juice was such a fun surprise and made for the best mimosa. The restaurant itself is gorgeous, the food was out of this world, and the service was beyond amazing. Initial thoughts were not 100% seemed loud and cold. But the management turned it around, the service felt like a 5 star restaurant and the food tasted like all the flavors that make your mouth water. Tried everyone at the tables meal, and would suggest each one. Try the Steak frites. They were playing really good music, it's the best volume outdoors. Sean was the absolute best, he made the experience for our group. I don't know if any restaurant can one up my experience there or have switched my thoughts the way they did. We went here for lunch and the atmosphere was amazing. The restaurant has a warm, modern feel that also feels like it turns into a cool night club at night. The drinks were fantastic, my husband had a class of wine and I had the signature sangria, which I loved. The food was okay, I had a chicken sandwich and he had a prime rib sandwich. My sandwich was very good and had great flavor and his sandwich was pretty good as well. The fries were subpar, they tasted like they were fresh out of a freezer bag to be honest and were pretty disappointing.
