Wife loves the little gem salad. It's a bit light for dinner; she cleans her plate. Special of fish and chips - sounded wonderful, but they were out of the fish shortly after 5:30pm - what? It must have been a carry over from the previous evening is all I can imagine. Anyway, if it's on the daily specials, order as soon as you see it! Loud, bustling, it's a popular place, be sure to reserve ahead (of sit at the beautiful bar, that works for a lot of folks as well).

Solid spot with great energy, but watch out for the sweetness overload on some dishes I had a really fun time at Culinary Dropout in Franklin! The vibe is excellent -- the huge bar area is lively with tons of action, perfect for people-watching and grabbing drinks with friends. Service was attentive and friendly, and the drinks were solid all around. We started with the pretzel and fondue appetizer, and it was legitimately great -- crispy, salty, and the cheese dip hit the spot. The mains were more mixed. The food was well-prepared and flavorful overall, but both the meatloaf and the Mongolian short ribs were way too sweet for my taste. The meatloaf came drowned in a sugary ketchup glaze, and the short ribs tasted like they were coated in store-bought teriyaki sauce. It was a bummer because the concepts sounded good, but the heavy sweetness just didn't work for me. Also, a heads-up: they were out of the fun $3.50 Paper Bag surprise beer and the Bearded Iris when we visited. Not a huge deal, but worth mentioning if you're going for those. All that said, I'll definitely be back. The atmosphere, bar scene, and service make it a great hangout spot in Franklin -- I'll just be more strategic next time and dodge the sweeter menu items. We had such a great experience here For our anniversary! Alyssa was our server, and she was so sweet, friendly, and attentive throughout our meal. She really made us feel welcome. The food was amazing. The pretzel rolls with the cheese dip are a must-try, and the steak frites were honestly one of the best entrées I've had in a long time. Also, if you like Old Fashioneds, get one here. It was hands down the best I've ever had! One thing that really stood out was that the GM, Dylan, stopped by our table to check on us. But what truly made our visit unforgettable was our waitress, Kendall. She was an absolute ray of sunshine. Dude it was so good, I went with my mom, aunt, brother and cousin and had a blast. Our Server Erica (Erika? Idk how to spell her name ) was an absolute doll and brightened my day. We talked all about Liberty, life, food recommendations, and she gave us the biggest hugs when we came back the next day. Not to mention the food was absolute perfection my jaw dropped like it was so good. I wish I could give this restaurant more than a five star rating because everything about it was perfect. Top tier dining experience no doubt, came here while visiting family in Nashville and heard about CDO from a couple friend recommendations and decided to give it a shot. Phenomenal food, came out on time, hot, and was excellent. Service was fast, attentive, and friendly, didn't feel rushed or burdened. The vibe was great, very relaxed and upbeat. Just not great. The bottom piece of sourdough was soggy due to the wet slaw they put on the bun so if you're going to order this, perhaps get the slaw on the side. I ended up eating it open-face style. Again, it was just ok. I have heard the chicken salad is amazing and comes in lettuce bowls and I got to see the presentation as the lady next to me had ordered it. I will try that next time because it looked delicious. I have also heard the classic burger is really good. I think it would serve the owners well to have someone in a leadership role stop by the tables and check on the satisfaction of the diners. Feedback is a great way to improve the product and I want to see this place stay in business for a long time. When Jonny Weber took over earlier this year, we were genuinely excited, we've always enjoyed his work at Country Boy in Leiper's Fork and Zolo's, and you can immediately feel the difference at Gray's The entertainment quality is noticeably upgraded. The staffing is dramatically improved, from the hostess stand to the servers, the attitude shift alone makes a world of difference. The menu has seen subtle but smart changes: keeping some of the old favorites while adding more sophisticated choices that elevate the dining experience. We're also glad to see a more efficient layout for the second floor stage area and dining area. When an owner can pick up extra seating without impacting other diners, that's smart business, more revenue for him, and ultimately better cost control that helps keep prices down for all of us. Our only hiccup this visit was the kitchen. The Sweet Pineapple Chili Drumsticks were really good, and all the orders were correct and arrived together. But both halibut plates and the the pork chop were all overdone, and the carrot cake was overly chilled. Timing and coordination are huge parts of a dining experience, and we expect those issues will get ironed out as the team settles in. Even with that, the overall improvement is undeniable. The direction Jonny is taking Gary's on Main is exactly what this spot needed, and we fully expect the kitchen to catch up to the rest of the operation. We'll be part of that future.

We arrived a little early so we could sit at the bar and enjoy an Old Fashioned before the rest of the guests arrived. It's a classic, old-school bar with so much character! Once we got to our table, we were greeted with some warm, toasty bread to get things started. For an appetizer, we ordered the Jumbo Shrimp Cocktail. The shrimp were large, and the cocktail sauce was perfect! Now, here's a must: Order the salad bar! It's legendary! For my entrée, I went with my usual Filet Oskar, sooo good and cooked to perfection! Others in our group had the filet and the fish, and everyone loved their meals. Since it was Mom's 90th birthday, she had the Peppermint Ice Cream, which is her favorite! And here's the really sweet part. Our waitress, Sylvia, noticed that I had birthday candles sitting off to the side. Without saying a word, she discreetly came behind me, took the candles, and put them on Mom's ice cream! Then they worked their magic. They came to the table, took a few pictures, and gave us the photos in a little paper frame to take home. What a wonderful memory from such a special birthday! And back to Sylvia, she was amazing! She was incredibly attentive throughout the entire meal, helped us while ordering, kept our water glasses filled, and always greeted us with her beautiful smile. This is why Sperry's is legendary, the food is great, but the service is what makes the experience truly special! We always get the jumbo lump crab cakes for our appetizer because they are the absolute best! For our drinks we got the vodka martini with blue cheese olives, and an old fashioned. Both are great! For our lunch we got the Reuben with shoestring fries, and the Cajun grilled mahi sandwiche with sweet potato fries. Both were terrific. We were both way too full to get dessert this time around. Our service was spectacular as usual and the atmosphere is similar to the belle meade location. We loved everything about it and we can't wait to go back.

The atmosphere immediately caught our attention--creative, intimate, colorful, and just a really cool vibe. Then the food came out and somehow managed to match the setting. We tried the beef tacos, soy garlic wings, glass noodles, and steak, and everything was packed with flavor and beautifully presented. The steak was cooked perfectly, the wings were crispy and loaded with flavor, and those beef tacos definitely deserve another visit of their own. ‍ What really completed the experience was the service. We ended up trying almost half the menu and loved nearly every dish. A huge shout-out to our server, Nestor. We started with a couple of mocktails, and the Purple Haze was refreshing and delicious. Here are some of our favorites: MI Cucumber - Smashed cucumber with soy dressing, crunchy chili oil, and cilantro. Simple, refreshing, and packed with flavor. Plantain - Fried plantains topped with sriracha goat cheese, cilantro, and crunchy gremolata. The sriracha goat cheese paired perfectly with the sweet plantains. K-Pop Chicken - Korean sweet and spicy popcorn chicken with great flavor and a perfect balance of sweetness and heat. Dumplings - Homemade steamed dumplings with edamame, truffle, yuzu ponzu, and garlic confit. I really enjoyed the truffle flavor, though it may not be for everyone. Kimchi Bacon Risotto - Caramelized kimchi, applewood smoked bacon, tomato, and shrimp. One of the best dishes of the night--perfectly cooked with incredible flavor. Crispy Spicy Tuna - Spicy mayo tuna served over crispy rice. This was one of the highlights of the meal. The crispy rice was absolutely perfect. Cauliflower Taco - Crispy cauliflower with guacamole, creamy miso, and tsiran spice. The filling was flavorful, and the cauliflower was cooked perfectly. Lamb Chops - This was the only dish that felt average. The lamb was cooked well, but it was missing a bit of flavor. A little more seasoning, especially some salt, would have really elevated the dish. To finish the meal, we had the Banana Pudding with Vanilla Gelato, which was a delicious and satisfying way to end dinner. Overall, MI Kitchen completely exceeded our expectations. Amazing food, a fun small-plate concept, and outstanding service from Nestor made this a memorable experience. We'll definitely be back to explore the rest of the menu!
