Nice restaurant but very slow service. We had 1.5 hours to eat before picking up our child. Drinks were very slow to start. We could tell this was going to be very slow. We ordered sushi for an appetizer and our entrees to come after. Manager comes by at 45 minutes and apologizes for long wait. At one hour mark, we tell our server we need both soon so we could pick up our child on time. Sushi was dry and entrees were not good. Server blamed us for rushing the order. It's a beautiful location and I hope it's just they are new and figuring things out. But at those prices, I expect more. read more

Culinary Dropout is the new "must go to"restaurant in Franklin. Especially in the ever-expanding vibrant Aspen Grove Franklin area! We were warmly greeted by the reception staff and seated near live music that was enjoyable (while still allowing to have a nice conversation). The whole experience was wonderful. The drinks are outstanding- see pics of our favorites! Mule, Cadillac, playboi and old fashioned! The food Was absolutely delicious- each dish better than the one before. Upscale atmosphere, great menu/food service, and a large, open bar. However after 2 bar and restaurant visits, both times they were out of the high priced house cab. This forced me to buy an even higher priced $19.50 glass of cab. This is unacceptable. Management needs to plan better for something as simple as stocking the popular house wine. Also it seems the bartenders think they are working in a nightclub. While the bar staff seem plentiful, they walk right by, are slow to acknowledge guests; you have to get their attention. Some act aloof and take their time bringing drinks. This behavior was both times, and not isolated. This is not what I expect at an upscale establishment. While the food is good, based on these overall experiences, I'm going back to Perry's and Brick Tops when I meet up with friends. These restaurants are consistently warm, inviting and have an attentive attitude which coincide the upscale vibe and higher prices I pay. read more

Noisy atmosphere and overpriced food and drinks! We saw a happy hour advertised here, so made reservations for 5:30. Our waitress informed us it was only at the bar, which it says nowhere. It's also only Mon-Fri., so too bad for us, as we happened to be there on a Sunday. I guess we missed that, but all that's to say, the experience started off on the wrong foot. I know that cocktails have gotten more expensive lately, but for $15, I expect a really excellent cocktail. Ours were just okay. The menu was a bit strange, and nobody in our party of four raved about their food. By far, the best thing was our appetizer, which really was good! There is also no division between center booths, so you feel like you're having dinner with like 10 people. This lack of privacy and sound attenuation also makes it so noisy as to be oppressive. We were practically shouting at each other the whole meal. This place is very trendy, and it seems to be popular, as it was crowded, so good for them, but we won't be back. read more

This is a tough review because overall this is a really nice establishment. We were there for Sunday brunch today. I called in ahead of time and was told there was no reason to make a reservation as there was never a wait on Sundays at noon. I found this odd because Sunday at noon is prime brunch time, but ok. We got there and only about 2/3 of the tables were full. The person at the host stand told me they had only one chef today and were seating based on the ability to serve in a timely manner. Another ok. We waited about 15 minutes at the bar. The bar staff was great and very attentive. There was live music (5/5) and multiple TVs with Sunday NFL games (another 5/5). Once we were seated the real issue began. We were a party of 4 - two orders of banana bread french toast (5/5), one fried chicken and biscuits (4/5) and one pork bowl with egg (1/5 due to a large amount of fat in the meat). The majority of the food was good but the waitress gave us bad information about our order. She told us the chicken and biscuits was bone-in, which it wasn't. This caused one of the party to order something different than what they wanted. She also said the order came with french fries - which it didn't. She admitted that she was new so we let it all slide. The manager came to the table randomly (we didn't ask to speak to him) and he was great. The prices were fair though the servings sizes were a bit small. Overall I might return if I was looking for an excellent banana bread french toast or a chill spot to have a drink at the bar - otherwise probably not. read more

Food was just mid, the space was cool and it was certainly crowded and a place to observe the what-nots in Williamson county. But service was just ok and the food was a high-priced Applebee's fare. Food and drinks were amazing! We sat at the bar and, I must say, the bartenders were quite awesome! Not sure about the spelling of the names but Drew, Megan, Thomas, Melody and Ashton were outstanding! Friendly and attentive and never had to wait for anything! The live music was very off putting to begin with, this restaurant doesn't scream live music, and the sound was terrible! I really enjoyed my dining experience at Culinary Dropout. We had a larger party and this was most people's first time at the restaurant. We all loved the atmosphere and the optional outdoor dining space. We really enjoyed the pretzels & fondue, whipped feta & tahini dip and pork belly nachos. The 36 hour ribs were a hit as well!
