The woman, Grace, who I was dealing with for the reservation was pretty on top of things. I signed a contract, paid a deposit, and was told to pick a menu. Everything seemed normal, especially considering the party size (8 girls). Fast forward to about two weeks before the reservation, and I still hadn't heard anything from them regarding our menu selections. Since it was a large party, we were required to pre-select the menu. I sent two follow-up emails and... Grace was MIA. I eventually decided to reach out via Instagram, only to be informed that Grace was no longer with the company. My first thoughts were: Why was no one else assigned to handle this reservation? And had I not followed up, what exactly was going to happen with our menu? Fast forward again to the night of our reservation. We arrive, and the place is completely dead. The hostesses were very welcoming, but advised us to wait at the bar because our table wasn't ready. We waited 35 minutes at the bar for our table... in a restaurant that was completely empty, BTW. During that wait, I genuinely felt like I was in the Matrix. The entire staff seemed sketchy. Everyone was just standing around with their arms folded, staring at us. Even when we first approached the front door, there were two men standing outside who I assume were security. I have no idea. They didn't say hello, open the door, or really acknowledge us at all. At one point, we asked one of the guys inside to take a picture of us, and the reaction we got was so strange that you would have thought we asked him to solve a math problem he hadn't studied for. Then, a manager--or whoever he was--came over with a bottle of champagne. My fiancé had sent the champagne to the table, but this gentleman did a pretty terrible job of explaining where the champagne was from or who had sent it. I later found out that this was the same guy who had spoken to my fiancé on the phone and attempted to overcharge him for the bottle. The website listed the champagne at one price, and this gentleman tried to charge him a completely different price--much higher than the advertised price. When my fiancé called him out on it, he tried to explain that the prices listed on the website were "outdated." ......How is that our problem? If you have a price advertised on your website, that is the price you should be charging. ‍ Anyway, overall, the experience was okay. Not terrible, not amazing... just very, very odd. This place must have new ownership or management or something because there are reviews dating back to 2021, but their Instagram page appears to be brand new.
