    We've had a unit here since June of 2022 at one point in time we had 2 units. We became homeless around this time so let me point out that everything we had in these two units was literally everything we have to our names. We ended up losing one unit as the cost of both units was killing us. About 6 months ago our unit was broken into. We received a call from a cube smart employee saying there was no lock on our unit. When we were able to get there and check it out we obviously filed a police report and claimed the tons of baseball/football cards stolen, my 3 embroidery sewing machines, pressure washer, Kirby vacuum, engine and what ever else was taken the list was long. They only covered 2000 of what was taken but that doesn't replace the sentimental shit that money can't replace. Shortly after the unit was broken into yet again, Mae thing received a cal from employee asking if we forgot to lock our unit. We were told by the grand Los Angeles county police that he couldn't take a report at the time (10pm at police station) he just advised us to move our unit. Still homeless that wasn't and isn't really an option. Fast forward to about a week ago 10/2023, received another call saying our unit didn't have a lock on it yet again. We weren't able to make it there till today, we used our code to get in the gates. We did a little bit of our own investigating, checked places that they may be coming in at. We ended up parking back out front to wait for an employee to show up as they don't have office hours listed anywhere. While sitting there patiently waiting 4 cops pull up and confront us like we're criminals put us both in separate cars and detain us. Said CUBESMART called said there was a suspicious vehicle even though we clearly used our code to enter the gate. Not to mention I drive the same car everyone I go there and have had multiple interactions with all employees. They were clearly mad that we were doing our own investigating. Clearly it's an inside job. If you value anything you own and we're gonna rent here; don't waste your time. THIS PLACE IS CROOKED, DONT RENT HERE. You do and your just as dumb as they are. Then they sent us a we're raising your rent on your unit to $500 WTF. Save yourself the heartache. This place is all bad news. Everything we owned was in that unit and we still don't know what they took this last time. As we didn't wait till 9:30 for their junk employees to Show up. I did contact the GM as I had his number from the second time our unit was broken into.

    Not the right choice. Decent location and security looks legit on the surface yet they provide twisted/false information.

    Honestly, if I could give 0 stars, I would…read more This place is a mess. Terrible hours, especially during the week. Weird tech issues like only being able to use certain elevators. Nonexistent customer service or help. Let's start with the hours. They close at 6pm. For someone who works until 5 and has to make the drive to the location, that leaves very little time to get anything done. If you happen to be even a minute late, you better hope you get lucky and find someone. The elevators are also old and creaky. You're limited to being able to use only a single elevator, so if the other elevator comes down, you get to restart the process of calling an elevator and hoping the right one shows up. And talking about the personnel. I've been renting here since July and have yet to see an actual worker here. Public Storage's app uses your phone's bluetooth to gain access to the facility. Wouldn't it be great to let someone on site even after hours (within reason), since you're getting them to log in and know exactly who is coming in and out? You know, like others do? I was pretty desperate looking for somewhere near my new home and found this place. Pretty full of regret now, and even though I'm not ready to empty it, I'm half tempted to take a day and pull everything out. Paying way too much and getting way too little here. Oh, also got a notice of an increase in cost - making this even less worth the service being provided. For a company that's providing a service, they sure aren't service oriented, are they?

Questionable sales tactic…read more If you reserve a unit for a discounted cost and come in to look at the unit first, they will charge you the higher "in-person" rate and will increase it by $20. So what you have to do is look at the unit. Run to the parking lot and then call them over the phone so it's technically over the phone to lock in the rate. What they're trying to do is have you pay for a unit blindly first. They'll offer you "a refund" if you don't like the unit. What have we allowed corporations to do? Dear Lord. Cancelling reservation after reading these other Yelp reviews about break-ins and price hikes. The rigidity of the rep on the phone was already a red flag. Maybe I should thank her for raising it.

Manager Redd- is a Crook Tried to charge me $200 because the toilet wouldn't flush and there was no toilettes available to us. That's the same amount of discount I got when I moved in $200 I moved in and asked the office to look at the space above that isn't fully caged in . And Redd got mad at me for asking that of him to move me or secure my storage unit that no one next to me can climb into my unit . They did nothing about it , and 1st chance they got told me I had to move out and they don't have to tell me a reason why . I don't violate anything , store illegal items, live there or have anything living or poison in my unit , they cancelled me and only gave me 13 days to move out . I'm seeking legal advice because this was wrong and inconvenience for me to do . I paid on time every month but this manager had it out for me . He wanted to charge me $200 because the toilet wouldn't flush in the building and there was no toilet paper to use I closed the door so no one used the unit I was in there 2 minutes but he claimed I made a mess in the bathroom In 2 minutes time . No paper no trash mirrors not broke but wanted $200 from me ?? For what ? It's not my fault your toilet didn't flush when I urinated inside the toilet bowl . And couldn't flush it .
