Honestly, if I could give 0 stars, I would. This place is a mess. Terrible hours, especially during the week. Weird tech issues like only being able to use certain elevators. Nonexistent customer service or help. Let's start with the hours. They close at 6pm. For someone who works until 5 and has to make the drive to the location, that leaves very little time to get anything done. If you happen to be even a minute late, you better hope you get lucky and find someone. The elevators are also old and creaky. You're limited to being able to use only a single elevator, so if the other elevator comes down, you get to restart the process of calling an elevator and hoping the right one shows up. And talking about the personnel. I've been renting here since July and have yet to see an actual worker here. Public Storage's app uses your phone's bluetooth to gain access to the facility. Wouldn't it be great to let someone on site even after hours (within reason), since you're getting them to log in and know exactly who is coming in and out? You know, like others do? I was pretty desperate looking for somewhere near my new home and found this place. Pretty full of regret now, and even though I'm not ready to empty it, I'm half tempted to take a day and pull everything out. Paying way too much and getting way too little here. Oh, also got a notice of an increase in cost - making this even less worth the service being provided. Your typical storage place I like that they have air condition units inside that you can access if you want which I selected. It's easy to get in and out and the place and it's pretty secure, requiring using an access code to get pretty much anywhere. They continuously keep raising prices every year though, so I'm not a big fan of that, not at all. It kind of sucks that they do that especially after you started storing stuff for so long because now it's going to be tough to just move to another location. But if storage gives you peace of mind, then this is the place for it. read more

I couldn't access the office because it was closed and workers weren't there. Next day I go manager STEPHANIE didn't apologize for the inconvenience and moved me to another and still made me pay more for another unit same row few units down instead of waiving the fee and being sorry I couldn't access it the day before even tho the rent started the day before I couldn't use my storage the day I paid for it. I rented the unit for a month and was not happy. Property was dirty and office always closed. I scheduled a move out and took all my things out before the next billing month. Be extra careful when storing your stuff in this facility. My unit got broken into twice!!! The burglary happens all the time. My first impression was good about this place considering that the place is new and clean. Turned out it was an absolute nightmare. When you got your unit broken into, you filed a police report and claimed to the insurance company. Police officer was not able to do anything as he said this happens every day and they won't investigate it for you. The security cameras in the area is only covering the exterior part not the hallways where the units are. So, there you go! People can easily do anything they want without getting noticed. read more

This location is scandalous there all about the come up. Since the day we got the storage unit I have been the only one to access the unit. The employees see me everyday go in and out of the unit sometimes more than once a day and they know my name is not on the account yet they tell me nothing about not being able to have access to the unit cause in not an authorized user. But now that a payment is owed and my cousin is in a program and they know he can't come in to give me authorization they want to deny me access and make it impossible to get authorization. They make it difficult nearly impossible and then knowing that I've been the only one using it they say no and now want to auction the unit. That's how they steal from people. This facility is a disgrace in customer service and professionalism. Rented a space in 2017 and 7 months later got a notice that my rent has been raised. One year later, another raise in rent. They simply raise rent whenever they feel like and when their office miss-handled payment checks, I got penalized and need to pay late fee because they claimed check was not received. It is also their common practice to refuse taking responsibility for any mistake they make. The office over charged my account right before the rental increase. On the month of the increase, you were given a lower amount of rental amount. On the next month, when you pay the lower amount, they would slap the $24 late fee as soon as they can. When I called to get some resolution, all they want is get you to pay up and blame all the fees on me, the consumer, even though it was their mistakes that caused the problem. Oh, Public Storage Corporate, you should take note, these employees you have at this facility is blaming all mistakes on your "system" and not take any responsibilities. Overall, this facility is run by an unethical and dishonest group of people. They don't even deserve the 1 star rating, I would give 0 star if I can. You have just lost a customer of almost 2 years and I will definitely tell everyone I get into contact with about it. read more

It's a newer building that is climate controlled which is good for your stored items and the staff is very helpful. You need a security code to enter and exit the gate and the code only allows you access to your storage floor. There are cameras that cover just about the entire property and there are lights inside and out. However there is one major security flaw but I'm not going to describe it (for obvious reasons). My unit was broken into about a year and a half ago and I brought up the flaw with management and corporate office. but was advised their system is adequate. I spoke with the district manager and she was going to check on a couple of things for me, but never contacted me back. I'm leaving this review because I've noticed burglaries are still routinely occurring. Just a few things to consider if renting here. read more

Worst storage place ever. Got all all my high value items robbed from my unit which had their lock at the time. as we are thinking it was an inside job. They have been giving me the run around on everything and cant seem to get a straight answer, stating they are not liable for any stolen items although their lock and safety device were securing the unit at the time of the crime. all they tell me is to call and make an insurance claim because they are not liable for any items. as they have no security inside the storage unit which was inside a building that u would need a security code to get in the gate and to go up the elevator as well. read more

I've rented a unit here for about six months. In that time I've visited around six times, always well within normal business hours. On four of those occasions there has been nobody on site, often not even so much as a courtesy sign on the door to indicate when they'd be returning. I phone and leave messages and if I'm lucky, I'll get my call returned about 1/3 of the time. Truly appalling and not the way to run a business. Steer clear. I would not recommend this location at all! They go up dramatically on your monthly rate as they feel, without a logical explanation. They will not try to work to get your rate back to what it was or a little cheaper. I spoke to a "manager" and she sound as if she could care less about a random increase and the effect it has on their "on time paying customers". I really wish I chose another location that has more professional people that understand that increasing rates during a horrible pandemic is not helping their business or reputation. When asked about another space they said "an identical space is available but we cannot give you the same promotional rate..." Nearly eight months ago, I purchased a large number of boxes from this public storage. I couldn't fit them all in my small car. An employee by the name of Candice said that she would store the remaining boxes in the break room for me. When I returned, no one could find the remaining 20 boxes. I've gone back a minimum of 6 times asking for the boxes or a refund. I was told that the manager (Brian Yatabe) would call me. I never heard from him. I was told that another manager (Kamisha Quallo) would call me. I didn't hear from her. Over a week ago, I was told that the regional manager (Kat Jarnigan) would call me. No call. I'm a very patient person, but this is ridiculous! Really, over 20 boxes?! Honestly, it not the boxes at this point. It's the principle. This is suppose to be a customer service oriented business. They have clearly demonstrated their lack of professionalism and customer service. #boycottthispublicstorage read more

Getting a storage unit here here was smooth and easy. Lynne did a great job getting me set up with right size unit and handling my paperwork. One warning however, or advice actually, is if you need to use their cart to carry and wheel stuff to your unit, make sure you go earlier in the day. The carts need to be returned by 4:50. read more

DO NOT RENT UNIT 2255 (2nd floor) in the front building!! I rented this unit for a year and a half. When I signed up, the person told me that the light in the hallway in front of my storage would be fixed immediately. I visited my storage about once a week for an entire year and it NEVER NEVER NEVER got fixed. I came in to complain about it at least once a month and whoever is at the desk would tell me the same thing every time "Oh, we'll put in a request, we'll let our manager know, we'll get that fixed right away." And it never happened!!! They will tell you anything to get you to leave. I would have to dig through my storage in the dark because that hallway light never got fixed. I only rented this storage because I needed a place for my things temporarily. I couldn't wait to get out of there however I am still experiencing bad customer service!! I vacated my unit and paid my pro-rate at the desk etc... The girl said it's all done and I'm out of their system, then I get another charge for a full month on my credit card for the next month!!!!!! I am so annoyed because it's really inconvenient that now I have to call and see what went wrong. I have never written a review before but I am so upset at Public Storage, I feel that this is necessary so other's don't make the same mistake I did. I'm sorry but if I ever need a storage again, I will never rent at Public Storage. Also their website sucks. I tried to cancel Auto Pay and it kept telling me "You're all Set up!" - They're really good at taking your money and make it impossible for you to cancel. Two things they don't tell you on the website when booking online: customers are required to have insurance, the minimum being $9 extra a month. This is about $108 a year. In addition, you are required to buy a specialized lock that is pretty much only good at this location, for an additional $9. I've been a customer of a lot of different storage facilities, and I have never seen so many required purchases. On top of that is the $22 "administration" fee. There's a storage facility a few miles away (rhymes with "new ball") that doesn't charge this fee. Don't bother with this location. While the staff is kind, their hands are tied. As such, any issues are dealt with at the corporate level, which is a nice way of saying issues are ignored. If you pay extra for "climate control," you are being ripped off. In the two years I have been at this location, I have noticed little difference in temperature. Prepare to melt if you go in here. Oh, and prepare to have your rates raised by $10 every year, while the website advertises new units for less than what existing residents are currently paying. In other words, new customers are treated like gold, while existing ones are unimportant. I guess that $0 that a potential customer has paid is somehow more important than an established customer that has paid over $2400. Update: Just got a call from a CSR, using the buzzword "market value" for the reason we pay more, and once again stating new customers are only getting a promotional discount, and their rates will raise to market value after 3 months. Isn't that good information for new customers to have? I know they didn't inform me of that. Public Storage determines their own market value, and it is not determined by any ACTUAL market values. Take a look at other storage prices nearby, and this will be confirmed. What a joke. read more

This storage steals your money after you move out of your storage unit. I've been battling with them to get my refund. I moved out of my storage so that I wouldn't have to pay for the month of August, yet they still charged me after. Now the Corporate headquarters in Glendale are being bureaucratic and instead of issuing the refund are mailing a check which takes "10-15" business days. They have no shame withdrawing from your credit credit card, yet they won't refund as promptly as possible. Don't get Public Storage; they're Corporate Raiders. read more

I'm extremely disappointed in Public Storage's policies. I rented a 10x30 storage in 11/17 ($329 monthly) and I just received notice that at the 6 month mark 5/1/18 it will increase by $53! After finally getting everything moved in that's just crazy. Now I would understand if there was supply and demand scenario but there are AVAILABLE 10x30 units available for even LESS at $295 monthly. I think they take advantage of people KNOWING that all the effort has been made to move everything in and so we would be willing to pay the increase instead of moving out. I find business practices like these just appalling and devoid of human compassion and ethical standards and will definitely, absolutely NOT ever recommend PUBLIC STORAGE to anyone that wants to rent for long periods over 6 months. read more

finally ended my relationship with ps once and for all, because paying an arm and a leg to store junk really isn't economical, right? storage fee started at $66/month back in 2011, then it more than doubled today, $144/month. no thanks. they had changed the lock on our unit without advising us as well, lol. good thing no one wanted to steal junk i guess! even though the storage was locked the whole time but everything had a thick layer of dust on it. if you want to keep your stuff dust free, prob better to get one of those units inside the building. the staff are nice, tho. the gentleman helping me is very patient. read more

Not at all safe. I've had my storage locker broken into twice with in a 6 month period. This last time was on 7/31/18. They attended to drill out my lock and the person right across from me. When they couldn't get in, they popped the chicken wire on top of the locker and got in that way. Totally bypassing the gate and lock. When i asked the manager kamisha to have it repaired immediately, she said its not an emergency and she'll take of it tomorrow. So she left the chicken wire broken and unsecured. I will be leaving this storage. I suggest anyone who has stuff here pack up and go somewhere else. read more

Let me start by saying do yourself a favor and keep far away from this place, you have been warned. Look at all the recent bad reviews where customers get burglarized. Store your goods elsewhere not name Public storage. I stored my things here for 5 months when I sold my home and on the second month my storage 10x30 got broken into without a trace of force entry. They took over 10k worth of goods, I'm not exaggerating. They had so much time where they even open up my brand new flashlights insert batteries in them to look through my boxes at night. I Filed a police report and even the Sheriff said it was an inside job. Public storage and especially this PS hire crooks from the management all the way down and when things happen they act like "too bad" move on and call insurance. They sell you a unpackaged cylinder lock with 2 keys for $20 that you must buy and cannot bring your own, which the keys can be easily duplicated by the workers to rob you. I would never thought I would get burglarized in a storage ever until now and after what happened to me I did some googling and the company public storage is notorious for burglarizing customers goods when they move in. They have thousands of complaints on the BBB better business bureau throughout the U.S and none of us can sue them because of what we sign in the contract when signing up. I have talked to a few customers that got their storage broken into at this very same storage. Don't let the security gates and the so call surveillance cameras fool you into feeling your goods will be safe. The cameras doesn't record and about the gates with codes, who needs gate codes when the workers themselves do all the stealing. When I first came here to rent a storage space I was greeted by a very pleasant smile, friendly service and a helpful lady. I was shown the storage space but it was too small and looked for the next size up which was about $35 more. I asked if they had any deals but she told me she wasn't able to look that up. I called my wife who looked up the deals on line and found one $6 more that was 50% larger. Ok whatever, I would let that slide. The elevator was "broken" the next day even though it still was operational they had a sign over it. I'll admit, I still used it. The day after that I called and left a message because we were coming with a very big load, no return phone call. I showed up and was told they disabled the elevator. It sounded like they wanted me to spend another $180 to rent the truck for another day. No accommodation, Whatever! I lugged the boxes up the stairway. What did I hear but people on the third floor. I checked the elevators and they still worked. Not cool! On top of that the bathroom was closed. They always had some corporate bull headed answer. I don't recommend this place. read more
