Spoke to Manager Nick in regards to Monthly due payment not only is he rude hes very insensitive. Not personal whatsoever and seems like he don't care about anything other than collecting a check. I asked to speak to someone in charge of him and he gave me phone number that routed back to him . So many others have complained about this idiot i do not understand why hes still working there . I've rented from this company before, though at a different location. This location is HORRIBLE. I moved in 3 days ago, and I have yet to see ANYONE working here. The unit I paid for was dirty, and the provided lock was cut open and the security seal was broken, meaning I had to pay $20 for it, though I had already purchased a better one. No one was in the office to talk to about this. I am now being charged $35 for 'cleaning fees' though I didn't leave anything. I logged in to my account and discovered this fee. I immediately initiated a chat with their customer service reps, and it's now been 15 minutes of wait time with NO ONE acknowledging my message. I am seriously reconsidering my move here, and will probably leave. As an aside, I have 3 other family members using Extra Space, and I'm going to urge them to move, and even help them. read more

All drive up spaces. They are large, clean and easy to get to. The access hours can't be beat and the staff is incredibly friendly.

Nick is a good manager and gets back to customers quickly. The place is well kept and safe, from what I have seen. Unfortunately, MY rates have increased over 115% from 2015. Yes, that's DOUBLE. Within the first 6 months, they went up 40%. I'm actually positive that I could rent an apartment in the neighborhood for LESS for the square footage I pay for (two units). I will have to move facilities because the cost is out of hand. The bait and switch seems very obvious and...is a real bummer. Looking at other reviews on here which mention only a 60% increase, I wonder if I'm alone in this? It's too bad because Nick is efficient and cares about the facility. read more

On a Saturday my family was left with a truck full of furniture. The place where we were supposed to move into got rented out from under us. Of voter didn't find this out til Saturday. So we scrambled to find storage big enough for our belongings. So we had to rent from 3 different sites. Everyone except the one on Valley were great. The gentleman I spoke with was nice got my free month and a free lock. Tells me I'm all set they're open til 10. We'll I get there at 630 . My storage is locked! No one to help nothing. So we finish what we can had to return our U Haul and rent a pick up and stay with that loaded truck literally til 930 am. I stood awake all night. I get to the facility park and fell asleep. Some gentleman wakes me up by saying hi I think I got your message. And told me I was supposed to come in before they closed. BS! The other ones didn't say that and neither did this one. I told him I felt they should reimburse me the 37.50 extra I was out on the truck. He said nope we don't do that. Hello I don't have money to throw around. And that all he can do is cancel. And walked away! Our truck is sitting there with our stuff. Then we went to make sure he returned all our money and this guy wasn't even in the office. Not a sorry or anything. Just tried to pass his screw up on somebody else. All I want is 37.50 for extra expense on the second truck. So I hope someone above this guy reads this and every one else beware. read more

First of all, thank you Nick! I was looking around for a storage space and let me tell you the public storage down the street has a girl with very VERY bad customer service. When I called extra space Nick was the one to answer my questions and did everything on the same day! And I say this because it was close to closing time already which was not offered online. Talk about customer service giving it automatically 5 stars thanks to you Nick! The place is very accessible very neat and I can see it's being recorded which is a plus. My family and I needed to store some stuff away and what better than knowing its down the street with awesome service! I would definitely recommend to a friend and prices are good! He will honor which ever promo you see online which is something the rude person from the other person will not do. You can read about it on their profile. Point being, try this place out. I rented three storage units for my job here from 2005 through 2012. Their prices were fair, the service was top notch, and the units were spotless. I now work for a different company and my job once again requires storage units. I immediately came back to Extra Space Storage in La Puente. Once again, I found the new management to be professional, helpful, and polite. They, obviously, earned my business once again. I just moved back in again and they renovated the units (paint, fixing rusted metal walls, etc). I'm very happy renting here and I think you will be too. read more
