Update, still awful. I sent in all the paperwork for the break in at the beginning of December for…read morethe insurance. I asked them 3-4 times if they got it and they said yes and they submitted it. Over a month later on Jan 13th they finally told me they never sent in my insurance claim and they don't even have it so I had to resend it. They told me the claim finally got approved and the check will be here in 10-14 days. It's been 26 days and I still have nothing. My unit got broken into sometime in October and I still have not gotten my insurance payout because these people have no clue what they are doing, they pretended like they help but do nothing, and they honestly screw over the customers. I've talked to a lot of other renters and everyone I have talked to has been treated poorly by these people. Almost every conversation includes I'm looking for a new place. The gates and doors are broken all the time so I find homeless and other people who shouldn't be there. The amount of times I've seen someone trying to steal a bike out front or something is crazy. They've also messed up my card payments 3-5 times. I have auto pay and have always had money on my cards, yet somehow every few months I get an email saying thanks for finally paying and there was a late fee added. They even sent me emails that they cut off my own lock and put their lock on because "I missed a payment." Honestly it's taking everything in me not to go in and curse these awful individuals out. They still have not fixed their shit and they decide to throw more shit on me all of the time. I am so fucking over it. Once they finally give me my couple thousand, I'm probably going to find a new place too. Awful awful awful. Honestly they have seriously damaged my financial well being because of all this. They told me my claim was in in December so I bought my stuff back, it was over $6K stolen because they said they check would be there in a few weeks. Now it's been 3 months and still no check and my bank is still way lower than it should be because I used all my savings. I hate GreenBox. Not to mention, they also refused to let me use the truck when I moved in and they said that's free.

You'll see from my other reviews that I rarely give two stars. I just didn't have a good experience…read morehere. I actually rented from them for several years. At first, it was fine. You can go in at any time with your code. After a while, they started locking down the garbage outside. I was going through my mom's things after she passed away, and I had to take everything I wanted to throw away home with me. It was frustrating that they didn't have a way to take care of that there. I started to get a little sketched out when I went on the weekends. It was pretty empty, but I would run into people who gave the impression of hanging out (sitting in the hall, charging their phones.... No idea if they actually were living there, but it just gave me a weird vibe). I tried to go into the office to take care of a problem that I had and no one was in there during regular business hours. That was frustrating when I drove all the way there to meet with someone. I could've dealt with all that, but my last straw was after I had been paying on time for years, there was some situation with my credit card, and they charged me a late fee. I took care of it as soon as I got the email about it, but they wouldn't reverse the fee and because it was the weekend, they also disabled my code, so I couldn't get in. So annoying that they would throw away a good customer relationship just to get a late fee. I then packed up my stuff and moved somewhere else.

I rented a storage unit at StorQuest Denver/Kalamath, expecting a secure facility. Instead, my…read moreexperience has been a nightmare. My unit was burglarized, and several of my belongings were stolen. The police classified it as burglary, not simple theft -- yet the facility and their insurance company are refusing to take responsibility. The most disturbing part is that the manager (James) admitted, in front of a police officer, to using my key to enter my unit without permission to move and photograph my belongings after the break-in. There are major gaps in StorQuest's security -- including structural flaws that may have allowed access between units -- and the facility has provided poor-quality video footage that doesn't even show how the thief got in. The neighboring tenant, who was later evicted for sleeping in their unit, was never properly removed from the property. This situation has caused me thousands of dollars in losses and weeks of stress. StorQuest's corporate office has ignored my requests for answers, evidence, and reimbursement. If you value your belongings, do not trust this facility. Demand clear policies about who can access your unit and how security footage is handled -- or look elsewhere.

I have tried calling them back many times, and leaving two messages, and no one has responded. I am in Florida, so I don't have access to my unit, but I got my brother to go out there. He found someone at the desk, who clearly was ignoring my calls, and had him open up my unit (which they had placed their own lock on). After finding out that much of everything was stolen (and plenty of things that I won't even know are gone unless I go there), whoever was the person on staff said that it happens all the time, and every unit adjacent to mine was also broken into. I found many other documented incidents of this exact same scenario, at this exact same business. They say that have cameras at the front, require code access to get through the gate, front door, AND elevator, but clearly are taking no steps whatsoever to ensure the safety of their customers' belongings. The gross negligence of this company is apparent.

Our storage unit was broken into at some point in the last week to ten days. I will update this…read morereview as time goes on, but today I'm fairly upset. My husband was on-site to return our Christmas decorations; it's a Saturday at 12pm. Someone should be in the office at Midgard but apparently not. The virtual assistant is a joke. Husband demanded a live person. At first it seemed as if he was SOL because it's a weekend. He insisted on speaking with an actual human. Took forever. Once a live person was available they advised for my husband to come back Monday or try calling the office then as no one is available today. Husband told individual to get someone on the phone before he called the police. He was going to call them anyhow but wanted to give Midgard a chance to show up and actually be of service. A customer has just experienced a theft of their property at your facility and you think it's ok to tell them to call back/come back later? How is this remotely acceptable? Once my husband made it clear that he was going to raise hell if he didn't talk to someone TODAY, the representative he spoke with advised him to go into the office and obtain one of the key-locks and place it on our unit (they took owner-supplied locks off about a year ago and replaced them ALL with digital locks they control! They let us know this in one brief email along with yet another notice they were jacking up prices, again!). So he did. Takes pics of everything. Rep tells husband to call the police and gives him the contact info for their insurance company. Husband said the Midgard-provided lock appeared undamaged and functioned properly when he got there. It wasn't until he tried to open the roller door that he realized there was an issue. Things had been ransacked to the point where the state it was left in, caused the roller door to jam. He had to lay on the ground in order to get leverage under the door and push stuff back, to open it. Spring and summer tires are gone, storage totes emptied, boxes emptied ... so much is missing. A priceless wedding gift is gone. Our youngest is a World Cup athlete and some of their irreplaceable sports gear is gone. How the hell did this happen? I saw another review where the customer mentions wire fencing/mesh ceilings. So I asked my husband to photograph and video the ceilings. He said it doesn't appear to be cut or vandalized. How else does someone break into a unit like this? I'll let this play out. They say they have security camera everywhere, yet another reviewer who just went through this states when management was questioned about footage, it's magically unavailable. The police are on their way. Our own insurance requires us to file a report with local LO. I have a detailed and itemized listing of everything in our storage unit and will be taking the inventory with me tomorrow to go through and see what else was stolen. In the interim we'll be reaching out to local media to inquire if anyone else has reported theft at Midgard, as well as asking the police. Midgard ... do the right thing.
