They contacted me personally. Once, using humans! ( David) and then Al (not Ai but Al as in Albert) guided me through the process making sure I knew everything up front. Moving day came and the team handled my stress and worries so well, being careful with packing my valuables and clothes, meeting me at my cross town destination putting everything away carefully, and shaking my hand at the end, making me feel relief that the whole process was done FAST and FAR cheaper than other services quoted me. I will be using them on my next move! a note: paying directly in cash will save you card fees.

They showed up 5 hours late, yelled at me that I gave them a bad quote and refused to do my move which ended up costing me THOUSANDS. And spoiler, another company did the job in the time I was originally quoted by these people and for half the price. As a woman moving alone, these movers made me incredibly uncomfortable in the short time they were in my home. I called and got a quote over the phone. This was not unusual to me as I've only ever gotten phone quotes for moving and have never had issues in the past. I was quoted 2.5-3 hours with 3 movers. I called 5 other companies in the area and received similar quotes, I chose this company due to their availability. I scheduled my move for 4 days before I needed to be out of my place. They were scheduled to arrive between 12-3pm. At 3pm, I was told their morning job was taking much longer than anticipated but they should arrive within the hour. At 4pm I received a text from the team letting me know they were an HOUR AND A HALF away and would be stopping for food on their way. I contacted the "manager" and was assured they would be able to complete my move that day. The team showed up at 5:30pm, 5.5 hours late and I have never had movers be more disrespectful and demeaning toward me. My home was clean, fully boxed, and ready to be loaded. For $210/hour I was not about to waste time. They walked through my home to assess everything and Tyler, who is supposedly the best they have, was rude and disrespectful every step of the way. He yelled at me that there was no way they could do the move in the time quoted. Given that their morning job took 4-5 hours longer than anticipated, whoever is quoting jobs clearly doesn't know what they're doing. I was alone and the way their team treated me in my home made me incredibly uncomfortable, they yelled at me that I wasted their time, they drove to Fort Collins from Denver and their cars were in a storage unit in Denver that closed at 9pm. Even if they completed the job in the minimum quoted time, they still wouldn't have made it back to Denver in time to collect their vehicles so I don't see how that was my problem but he sure made it my problem. Tyler told me the move would take a team of 4 movers at least 7 hours to complete. To be clear, this was a two bedroom townhome, not a 5 bedroom house. As I was about to throw them out of my home for being so demeaning and disrespectful, they offered to step out and call their manager. At 6pm I received a call from the manager who told me the team claimed there were 150 boxes in my home and they would not be doing the move. When I argued that was absolutely not the case (i counted and there were 56 boxes, 6 large, 15 medium, 25 small, and 10 plastic tubs) I was told he didn't know who to believe...um excuse me?!? He offered to reschedule for another day at more than DOUBLE my initial quote. After the experience his "best guy" had to offer, there was no way I would ever agree to pay them even my original quote let alone $1800?! I told him this was unacceptable and explained the financial impact, all I got was "sorry, we wish you the best of luck with your move" after wasting 6 hours of my time and costing me thousands. This was a huge waste of my time and costly. I deliberately scheduled the move on my day off with several days after to do final small things and clean before handing over keys. A new tenant was scheduled to move in shortly after. Because of this company's laziness and incompetence, I had to pay an additional month rent and the next tenant's move was also impacted. I am truly beside myself at what a horrible experience this was. Now for the kicker - I hired another company to do my move the following week. I hired two movers and anticipated an 8 hour move due to what I was told by this team. I was genuinely afraid to do the walkthrough given what happened with moving brothers. I explained what happened and the new quote I was given and the new movers laughed. They said this team took too long at their job in the morning, ate and sat in the truck for an hour, and when they showed up they were tired or lazy and simply didn't want to do the job. They said the 7 hour quote was an FU to me since they drove up to Fort Collins. It took the new movers FOUR HOURS TOTAL. And cost me less than moving brothers original quote including a 40% tip. NEVER give this company your business. They will leave you up a creek without a paddle without so much as an apology. I'm grateful they requested cash payment and didn't require a deposit as they will never get a penny from me. I will tell anyone and everyone I know to avoid this company!

**MOVERS BEWARE** Scheduled American Master Movers for a…read moresimple move (apartment items to storage / leather sofa & love seat set to separate residence). Two men showed up on time and promptly began moving. When I made my reservation, I was told all the "services" that were included, with one being that all furniture would be wrapped in blankets for the move. I noticed right away that all furniture was only being wrapped in stretch wrap, not blankets as discussed. I asked why no blankets were being used, they informed me that since I did not elect to purchase the blankets that none would be used. They reassured me that the plastic they were using would be enough protection and I took their word and had them carry on with the loading. Their loading & stacking seemed aggressive (to the point it made me question how well I packed my boxes), but I attributed that to the fact I was being charged hourly and they wanted to move as fast as possible. Once we were complete with loading, they made the short drive to the storage unit. While unloading at the storage unit my headboard (which was not wrapped in a blanket OR plastic) fell in the truck. I was immediately notified and told that American Master Movers would have a "wood technician" come repair the damage in 6+ weeks as this guy is "in high demand". The damage sustained to this piece of furniture is not repairable (see photos) and I asked for the article to be replaced. The lead guy of the move talked with his manager and agreed the item would be replaced. They carried on with the move until all items were in the storage unit. Part of my move included having a power reclining leather sofa & loveseat set taken to a residence instead of in storage. This was no problem for the guys, so they continued to the second drop off location. They were quick with bringing in the loveseat, and after about 30 minutes of waiting for the sofa to come in, I went to the truck to see if they needed any help. They said they were "completing paperwork" but were both looking underneath my sofa which seemed odd. A few minutes later they came in with the sofa and seemed very rushed to leave. We processed the payment, and they were off in a flash. Approximately 2 hours after they leave, I decide to check the sofa & loveseat to confirm the power mechanisms are all correct & functioning. I find the power recline function on the sofa is not working and being to investigate. I check outlets and begin to trace the cords and that is when I found that they ripped the power cords and tried to cover it up and "fix" it with brown packing tape. I immediately called American Master Movers and tried every extension and was sent to voicemail. I left a detailed voicemail explaining the issues that would need resolution (headboard & sofa) but did not get a response back. The next day I sent an email to Cameron at American Master Movers and received a response from "John Hudson" identifying himself as the Assistant Operations Manager, saying that Cameron (who is the General Operations Manager) "is out of the office until further notice" but promised the items I needed resolution on would be resolved. I provided all items he requested (original receipt of the headboard, and my availability to have an electrician come repair the couch). After my prompt response I have not heard anything back from American Master Movers. It has been 45 days since my move, and I have sent 6 follow up emails and left over a dozen voicemails with no response. I am at the point where I must dispute the charges with my credit card due the lack of responsibility taken by American Master Movers.

I have been renting here for a couple years, and it used to be amazing! So amazing that I've told…read moreover a dozen of my colleagues in the trades about it and they started renting there. Unfortunately there is a new woman running the place and she is terrible. The quality of the grounds has been declining since she took over. Large garbage items sit outside of units for days or weeks. The alleys don't get plowed every time it snows , and they stopped putting down salt (both things they did when the other gentleman managed the place), so it gets icy . I have to put my own salt down in front of my unit so I don't slip on ice when I'm trying to get heavy tools and materials before work. The biggest issue is security. One of the gates has been broken and left wide open at all times, for anyone walking down the street to see and come in at any hour. When I asked about this I got rude emails back. When I asked to speak to someone higher up than her, she refused to give me anyone's info.... Who do you talk to about a problem when the problem is the manager? When I mentioned to her that the quality of the facility was declining, she got petty and went back though records to "call me out" on things she perceives as issues. I was told there is a service call in, but the gate is left swung wide open at night, and has been for days, how long does it really take to get a locksmith out???? They make no effort to secure the facility when they are closed. As soon as I have time in my schedule I will be moving to a more secure facility, with friendlier staff. If this is how much this place has declined in just a few months, I don't want to sit around and see how bad it will really get. The owners should really think about finding someone better to manage this facility, especially at the prices they charge.

The first thing I was told is that they finished a move at 2 Am and were exhausted. I went and bought them sodas at their request and showed them the 3 total rooms I needed moved. I did this move with a buddy 2 years ago and was able to knock it out in about 4 hours. I hired movers due to having a fair amount of cleaning To do. I was quoted 6 hours max to complete the job, which was fairly expensive, but I thought was worth it for the sake of not having to do it myself (weird that this is why people pay movers.. I know). The movers worked very slow, which was understandable considering they had 4 hours of sleep. They asked not to work that day but were forced by their boss (Carlos) to take the job, and then told halfway through mine that they had another one to follow. It took about 3 hours to pack up a small van and depart to the new property. I stopped and got the boys lunch to help get their energy levels up. At the new house, these guys were so exhausted that they were carrying one suitcase at a time in a hand while using the handrail on the stairs for support. I felt so bad that I pitched in and started to carry heavy items for them. They would deliberate at the truck for 5 minutes before picking up the next item to carry up. I found out that the older gentleman had thrown out his back the night before (again, Carlos is an asshole but we will get to that) and had a size-able gash in his hand. These guys kept taking break after break, taking long phone calls, to the point where I started getting annoyed (since we were being charged by the hour). I had to leave at the 6 hour mark to head to the old property to clean. When I left, the main mover said they had 30 minutes left Max and had me sign the paperwork. My girlfriend showed up to the house a few hours later with a few additional hours added (they charge 105 an hour) and my bill for a 1 bedroom, kitchen, and living room had cost me $1,000 dollars. I called the company to speak to a manager about possibility of negotiating the price (since I was thinking this would cost about 4-500 bucks) and was then introduced to the famous Carlos. Now to Carlos. This "manager" is one of the most unprofessional people I have dealt with in recent years. I called to have a conversation about the thousand dollar charge and was immediately berated by this man over moving expectations. He first asked why I didn't have my buddies help move since I did it in 3 hours last time. I tried to explain that the whole purpose of hiring movers was to hire professionals who can get the job done efficiently. He did not seem to understand, proceeded to laugh at me and yell over me about how his movers take their time to do the job right( they damaged numerous things in a never lived in house). This mans behind the scenes motto is "since we are slow during Covid, go as slow as you possibly can to milk the customer as long as possible". When I asked him if nine hours was reasonable to move a bedroom, a living room, and a kitchen, his response was that his employees were not slaves... He actually accused me of being a slave driver, despite his employees telling me they have been forced to work 14 days in a row, over 12 hours a day, with no paid holidays and no overtime, telling them they can go find another job if they don't like it. He then accused me of being wasted because I annoyingly explained to him that being a manager requires you to, at the bare minimum, listen to a complaint without interjecting and yelling at the customer. This guy is an absolute joke. I told him fine, I'll eat the cost of the move and would send them a bill for the charges I have for damages to the property. He said he was coming over in the morning to check everything out, in which I replied his incompetent, immature, and rude self was not welcome near my property. His responses were antagonistic, and from what I have read, this is how he deals with literally every complaint customers have. To summarize, the moving guys were very friendly, but as many have stated on these reviews, Carlos is slimy serpent who has no business running a company. This is the last time I will ever trust a recommendation, I will always be reading ahead on yelp to see what I'm getting into. I repeat, DO NOT hire this company if you want a move done efficiently and professionally.

I spoke with the reliable movers coordinator on the phone on 2 different occasions and explained what we needed and what type of piano was to be moved. An 80 year old grand piano. When they showed up to move the piano I heard the supervisor immediately yell out an unprofessional expletive. Completely unacceptable. He proceeded to inform me that the charge for moving the piano would be significantly more than what was quoted over the phone stating that I had requested the move of a much smaller piano. Under duress, we agreed to pay the $350.00 (versus the $215.00 I was quoted twice over the phone). They moved the piano to the garage in 30 minutes. The next day they show up to move the piano back into its original place and proceed to inform my Mother in law that it would cost an additional $350.00 to move it back. I informed them that it was extortion and that they were to immediately leave the house and that I would arrange for another company to finish the job. After 10 minutes, the supervisor called from the vehicle and offered to move the piano into its original place for a "reduced price". I stated that they were to leave once again. After another few minutes he came back and offered to move it back for free "because she's an old lady and they should just finish the job". This company clearly manipulated us to increase the cost of the move and then, when they saw they were dealing with an 87 year old woman by herself, attempted to double the cost. Unacceptable. They did move it back into the house for free but not until I called their bluff and told them to leave. I would never suggest anyone use this company for anything after this experience.
