Update, still awful. I sent in all the paperwork for the break in at the beginning of December for the insurance. I asked them 3-4 times if they got it and they said yes and they submitted it. Over a month later on Jan 13th they finally told me they never sent in my insurance claim and they don't even have it so I had to resend it. They told me the claim finally got approved and the check will be here in 10-14 days. It's been 26 days and I still have nothing. My unit got broken into sometime in October and I still have not gotten my insurance payout because these people have no clue what they are doing, they pretended like they help but do nothing, and they honestly screw over the customers. I've talked to a lot of other renters and everyone I have talked to has been treated poorly by these people. Almost every conversation includes I'm looking for a new place. The gates and doors are broken all the time so I find homeless and other people who shouldn't be there. The amount of times I've seen someone trying to steal a bike out front or something is crazy. They've also messed up my card payments 3-5 times. I have auto pay and have always had money on my cards, yet somehow every few months I get an email saying thanks for finally paying and there was a late fee added. They even sent me emails that they cut off my own lock and put their lock on because "I missed a payment." Honestly it's taking everything in me not to go in and curse these awful individuals out. They still have not fixed their shit and they decide to throw more shit on me all of the time. I am so fucking over it. Once they finally give me my couple thousand, I'm probably going to find a new place too. Awful awful awful. Honestly they have seriously damaged my financial well being because of all this. They told me my claim was in in December so I bought my stuff back, it was over $6K stolen because they said they check would be there in a few weeks. Now it's been 3 months and still no check and my bank is still way lower than it should be because I used all my savings. I hate GreenBox. Not to mention, they also refused to let me use the truck when I moved in and they said that's free. read more

You'll see from my other reviews that I rarely give two stars. I just didn't have a good experience here. I actually rented from them for several years. At first, it was fine. You can go in at any time with your code. After a while, they started locking down the garbage outside. I was going through my mom's things after she passed away, and I had to take everything I wanted to throw away home with me. It was frustrating that they didn't have a way to take care of that there. I started to get a little sketched out when I went on the weekends. It was pretty empty, but I would run into people who gave the impression of hanging out (sitting in the hall, charging their phones.... No idea if they actually were living there, but it just gave me a weird vibe). I tried to go into the office to take care of a problem that I had and no one was in there during regular business hours. That was frustrating when I drove all the way there to meet with someone. I could've dealt with all that, but my last straw was after I had been paying on time for years, there was some situation with my credit card, and they charged me a late fee. I took care of it as soon as I got the email about it, but they wouldn't reverse the fee and because it was the weekend, they also disabled my code, so I couldn't get in. So annoying that they would throw away a good customer relationship just to get a late fee. I then packed up my stuff and moved somewhere else. read more

This is the second Greenbox location I've rented from, and I think they are great. This move-in was completely contactless and went very smoothly. I could reserve online, confirm via email, set up my move-in over the phone, and follow-up via text message. Super easy! And my unit was easy to find, and the trolleys inside made moving in quite easy. And the building and bathroom are pretty clean. My only knock and the reason for 4-stars instead of 5 is once on the property, one of the automatic doors was broken and stuck open. I texted a picture to the management as no one was there but got the auto-response of "after hours." I have no idea how long it was before someone came to fix the wide-open exterior door. Overall my experience with the company has been good, and I would recommend them to others, as long as you're okay using the client portal for your payments and receipts and don't mind never meeting anyone. read more

They were a little pricey, but the service here was impeccable. Also, you have use of their moving truck for free when you rent. That's quite a money saver. The only real downside is that it's a labyrinth and finding your way through it to your unit and out again can be challenging. My suggestion to them would be to take a cue from hospitals and paint lines to follow (or hand out bread crumbs ;-) ) Still I was very happy with the customer service, and would gladly recommend them. read more

Love this facility! Rick, the facility manager, is fantastic. Very helpful and accommodating. The unit itself was very clean, secure, and climate controlled. Getting in and out of the facility was a breeze, they even have an app that opens the gate with your smartphone! And one of my favorite parts of this facility is the green approach to energy. The whole place is run on solar energy! So, for those environmentally conscientious customers, this is the place for you. I don't typically write reviews on storage units, but I really had a great experience with these guys. The price is maybe slightly more than market, but to me, very worth it. And if they still have the 2nd month free deal, then it's a steal! read more

Just moved here from LA and was looking for a small storage space! The staff here was super friendly and helpful. Units were super clean and the whole thing felt new and safe. Prices seemed really reasonable, especially since the first month is free and I only needed it for two months. Seems pretty eco-friendly, bonus. The only small problem I had was that it's on a one way and the entrance is a little easy to miss, but other than that it was super easy. read more

The facility is clean, great location, and it's easy to get signed up online, and they are helpful at answering your questions over the phone. But what makes this 5+ stars is one of the employees, James, at this location, who went above and beyond when I showed up with the moving truck, and my movers bailed out on me. He immediately put a call out to other movers who could come on short notice, and in the meantime, helped me out with numerous tasks in getting situated. He was always genuinely motivated to help, and take care of my situation - you rarely see that level of service anywhere - and it was appreciated. read more

Clean facility and the staff are very helpful and accommodating.

I chose this place for ease of access, local ownership, clean and dry facility, and the benefit of having 10' wide by 5' deep units for same cost as 5'x10'. Climate control, solar power, and controlled access are bonuses that tip the scale in their favor over other corporate or generic services. Having had the unit for just 3 days and moving all my stuff from a moving truck I relocated in, I haven't used the available truck yet, and it wasn't mentioned when I signed on, but that will definitely keep the 5-star rating when I need it. read more
