Two years ago, after my mother's death, I sorely needed a place to store her completed artwork, and many of her other things. I needed a place to put them that was safe from fire and theft. So I went to A Storage Place near El Rancho. The then manager, Richard, helped me immediately, and I was able to move all of these precious things instantly. I have paid by check for two years and never had a problem. Suddenly this spring, I received an email saying that I was delinquent on my payments. It turned out that their bank's check reader had misread my check and had put an extra digit at the end of my account number. They assumed that I had written a bad check. As a successful educator of more than three decades, I have never in my life written a bad check. I contacted my bank and worked through them to try to resolve the issue with A Storage Place. The new manager, Brian, hung up on me three times. He shouted at me over the phone and was exceedingly rude. Then my banker, Lily, try to reason with him, and he hung up on her three times. Finally, our bank manager Helen was able to get him to calm down and talk to her reasonably. She ended by saying very firmly, "Our client did not write a bad check. You can simply re-deposit the check with the correct account number." Apparently he did not get the message. I had to send them another check. The way that I was treated then and the way that I was treated when I decided to move out has shown me that the people who run A Storage Place have no idea of how to behave professionally. If I had treated the people I worked for as a professional educator the way I have been treated by the staff at A Storage Place, I would've been fired on the spot. If you wish to be treated with respect, do not rent a storage unit from this business! There are so many other options! read more

Very unprofessional. A had a few small questions about security and I was belittled and talked down to. I would rather drive further for better service. I can't believe this place is still in business. Do yourself a favor and go else where. read more

Rude, inconsiderate and unprofessional. Signs that read "be back in 10 min" wait for an hour... still nobody. Refuse to accept my cancellation because I am unable to physically get there, even though I've tried , "10 minutes" is 20 minutes, not the next day! read more

Horrible experience. We had made a reservation for a 10x10 storage unit. When we showed up to claim the unit just before our home lease expired it was already rented to someone else. I had previously called the manager Bryan Burton on several occasions to check on our reservation. I was told every time that everything was ok and that if anything came up they would certainly call us first. He did not call and did not care. He then tried to force us to get a larger and more expensive unit we did not need. I asked if we could get it for the same price as the one we had reserved. No. No discount. Nothing. They don't honor reservations. BEWARE. read more

These guys are great, I live out of iown and had to find storage in a hurry, building out of town will be tought this year. They contact when there is any problem, zero compliants about the facility, clean, lighted and the snow is always removed for access. Thanks guys read more

I first had reserved my unit online, 4-5 days prior. Everything is wrong with this move, so the day of I wanted to call and make sure my reservation had gone through, I had not received instructions via email. I called and was notified that they had not received it! Your first thought is oh no! But the woman on the other end was able to reserve me a unit. I reserved my unit on the phone and was able to get a unit on the way to the storage facility. Yay! When I arrived I found the place ok, (it's up on a hill, and hidden back where I wouldn't have guessed) and because of the location it appears to be safe. The two gentlemen inside were extremely helpful, and I was very happy with my experience. The area was clean, and well lit. They had a cart I used to roll my belongings from my vehicle to my unit. This is the absolute best storage facility i have used amongst many throughout the country. Bryan, the manager and Richard are two of the finest men i have ever met and they are Professional, Respectful, Courteous, Honest and Fair. They treat people right and maintain the facility within the highest standards, both in condition and cleanliness and the security is the best I've seen. This is the only place i could recommend and the only place i will ever use for my personal property. read more

We've used this facility for 4 years withour problems making auto payments every month. When we changed our credit card due to the Home Depot security breach we forgot to change it with them. Rather than notify us that there was a problem they let us go delinquent and then locked us out of our unit. When we went to pay, including the penalty (and did so with cash) Bryan was abusive to my wife and told us that he was going to raise our rent so high that we would have to go elsewhere simply because we had questioned his actions. He also indicated that he was happy to be rid of us since our unit was in high demand and he could charge a new renter more money. Then after paying, he took his sweet time taking his lock off the unit so that we could get in. After my wife went back to inform him that the unit was still locked he finally sent another employee to open it. While she was there he threatened to call the police on her if she didn't get out of his office and kept stating that she was on video. I believe he was trying to scare her and get us to abandon the unit. He also told her that he wanted us out of there which we will gladly comply with. Worst customer service I've ever seen. We were so concerned about the security of our property that we cleaned the unit out that day. BEWARE before renting from these people!!! read more

Extremely unprofessional and terrible customer service. The company switched their auto pay billing system, and would not refund a late fee they charged me because I did not know to update my credit card because they said they sent me emails. After asking multiple times to be called back by management in order to get the fee repealed, they first refused to call me back. Then after continuing to press for the refund of a fee that was due to their error, I had one of the most unprofessional altercations I have ever had in a customer service arena with Brian, the manager. These people are stepping over a dollar to pick up a dime, and are now losing a customer on dependable auto-pay for the last year and a half over $15, because he decided he would rather be a stubborn excuse of a professional than work with a customer and return money she should have never been charged. I was a perfect auto-pay customer for years at a high monthly rate! The late fee was only worth less than 3 days per month of what I was being charged! Moving my services elsewhere immediately. No one should be treated the way I was, especially over something so small. Unbelievable. read more

First off I'd like to say this place is awesome! Needn't a place that was reasonable and safe and this fit the bill! Going through a tough time in our life and needed a place to store our home! They treated us like family! All the other storage places had nothing available or had outrageous prices they were different! Office staff were friendly and even gave my kids candy! Who does that anymore? We would give them a 10 out of 10! Thanks a storage place for making a tough time easier! read more
