    Almond crunch French toast 5/5
    Ash G.

I love a good breakfast place and this is it, it is always full so be sure to add yourself to their waitlist. It has a cozy diner-esq vibe to it and I love everything about it. Every breakfast item I've  had here has been insanely yummy, just great food, insane portions and a friendly and capable staff (yes they are packed but they always make an effort to be nice). So I shared a plate of the Almond Crunch, OMG I love this thing with a passion but because I cannot just choose one thing I also shared a few (more than a few) bites of the Migas, savory bliss of eggs and beef with cheese onions peppers and all kinds of yumminess, I love getting these with hashbrowns. Which reminds me one of the few places that still has hashbrowns on its menu (I'm pointing at you breakfast potatoes)

Wings hot (temperature)unfortunately a little over cooked and a had a burnt flavour. Coca Cola braised short ribs came out barely warm. Sent back and waiting still over 15 min. Not impressed We've been before and not much has changed. We won't be back We asked for the meal to be boxed. She said she'll bring it. I asked her to do it. What? You're not allowed to box food but you can serve it?

Hobo Scramble with side of pancakes

Quite the busy place on a Sunday morning. We luckily found they had an online sign in sheet so we did that which gave us about 25 minutes to get there. We made it with a few minutes to spare and were seated immediately. Otherwise we heard them telling people it was a 40 minute wait. The waitress we had was super friendly and funny and kept our coffee flowing which was surprising for as busy as they were. Now the food. I ordered the hobo scramble with pancakes and a side of bacon. The scramble was really good except to much sour cream thrown on top (ask for it on the side). The pancakes were nice and fluffy but the bacon, it was excellent. Good thick pieces cooked to the right amount of crispy. Overall I give this 4 stars. Only because it was so crowded and loud, which is not there fault just super busy

My family and I have been coming here every weekend for the past 16 years. We love all the food options they have, and it always tastes great! If you are into comfort food this is the place for you. We now know the majority of the servers and host's and they are so friendly and provide amazing service. The theme of aviation is very apparent in here and it creates a fun space.

The second we walked in there was like 20 people jus trying to ask about getting on the wait list and we were the next up because we did it online and she was so rude about it and said okay well your still gonna have to wait, and put us at the worst table, which i get sometimes you can't control

Delicious! My husband and I visited on a holiday and they were packed! Expect a wait during weekends/holidays. We were luckily able to snag a counter seat fairly quickly. We ordered custom omelet and short stack of buckwheat pancakes. Everything was delicious and we especially loved the pancakes! Perfectly fluffy and you could taste the nuttiness from the buckwheat

My absolute favorite breakfast place! The best chicken fried steak, and they make their bacon perfectly. Friendly staff and comfy ambience. Long wait if you come in on Sunday morning! But worth the wait.

Filthy floors!!! The staff at the Crystal Creek Cafe just doesn't care anymore!!!

Still having a service problem here!!! Once again, seated but forgotten about for so long that we almost got up and left!!! Food was once again not seasoned properly and tasted bland!! My wife and I ordered the exact same thing and the food portions were unusually and quite obviously different sizes!!! It appears they've just given up at the Crystal Creek Cafe!!! The floors were filthy as well!!!

    Berry French toast-half portion

Not a fan! This is a typical American diner but I felt like they use cheap ingredients and charge a lot for it. Portions are big, which is good considering the price. Kids loved their orders, m&m pancakes and french toast with berries. What's not to love, right? Im a bit pickier about my food and so is my husband. He had the grilled veggies hash. Even the half portions are quite large. Absolutely nothing impressive about the dish, hash is not crispy but also not greasy. He said seasoning was lacking. I had potato and bacon pancakes with a side of over easy egg. The egg was cooked right. The pancakes were big, somewhat crispy on the outside but not enough. This wasn't so much of a pancake because it just fell apart. It should be called hash and bacon. Apple sauce on the side was meh! And the waitress brought a cup of mayo instead of sour cream by accident. She quickly fixed that mistake when I pointed it out though. Service was friendly but clearly they were busy. What threw me off the most is their disgusting butter. I don't know how but it had a foul aftertaste. Overall, $80 breakfast for 4 of us was steep for the quality of food. Would not care to return.

We (my husband and I) were greeted and helped with navigating the menu, as well as how to order on their touch-screen kiosk. We ordered the 7 chicken tenders, and got half mild and the other half hot. We also got a side of the Port Rice. When we were there, the whole place was empty, but still, the table we chose was dirty, so we wiped it down ourselves. The greeting staff lady was very kind and helpful, but the other staff who brought us our food weren't as open to being friendly. The chicken came out hot (in temperature) as well as the rice. It didn't take long to get our food since we were the only ones there. The mild chicken flavor was my favorite. It had a good, unique flavor. The hot flavor was too vinegary for me, but my husband liked it as he sweated through the spice. We enjoyed the rice paired with the chicken. We didn't realize it until after, but they actually gave us 8 chicken tenders, so that was kind; they were large, too. We should have gotten a second side so that we had more of a meal, maybe something crunchy, but by golly, the prices in WA are insane for food, so we chose not to. They provided us with two dipping sauces in glass bottles, both labeled 'garlic sauce,' but 'garlic' was spelled incorrectly (maybe the art was made with AI? How did the marketing department miss that?). One bottle was white sauce, and the other was a red sauce, so we were confused why they were both labeled garlic, because one was more of a chili taste. We left pretty full and satisfied and were happy to have stopped by.

Our waitress was superb--patient, attentive, and genuinely kind. The food was phenomenal. We ordered several appetizers and every single one hit; the crab dip alone is reason enough to come back. The Caesar salad was crisp with a perfectly balanced dressing, and the pasta--wow. My only minor criticism is the desserts. They weren't bad, but they were clearly outshined by the appetizers and main courses by a wide margin. That aside, we'll definitely be returning. The service was great and very attentive, although it felt a little aggressive at the end when plates were cleared almost immediately after we finished. The decor also felt dated and could definitely use an update to match the menu and prices. Not a bad spot, but there is room for improvement in both the food and atmosphere.

Right away, there was a fundamental flaw with the service flow: our waitress was friendly and professional and took our order, but a different person delivered the food (black shirt--maybe a busser, and she seemed new). She didn't know whose order was whose and handed plates to us instead of placing them on the table. My upgraded wedge salad came out odd, with balsamic vinegar on top of the ranch. The lettuce also tasted bitter and the ranch lacked the usual flavor. When the plate was handed to me, the bottom was covered in dressing, so I got ranch all over my hands. Then I grabbed my fork and the handle was covered in balsamic vinegar, so now I had ranch and balsamic on my hands. I asked for napkins and we waited a long time and didn't get them until much later. Entrees were mixed up too. And the busser brought out my mom's ribs, they slid completely off the plate and onto the (dirty) serving tray. Instead of replacing them, the busser picked them up with her bare hands--I watched her fingers sink into the ribs--put them back on the plate, and tried to hand them to my mom. I asked her to please replace them. She came back a minute or two later with what may have been a new plate, but it was pretty darn fast and it honestly looked like they may have just added more sauce to cover the finger imprints (hard to tell). More problems: * My mom asked for plain mashed potatoes with butter (food allergies), but she was given loaded mashed potatoes instead. The mashed potatoes were also lukewarm and bland. * My mom also asked for a Coke refill and never got it. * The ribs weren't hot (lukewarm), were salty, and the sauce didn't taste like it usually does--overall very mediocre. * My girlfriend ordered her ribeye steak medium-well and it came very well done. It was very thin, tough, lacked flavor, and honestly seemed boiled. Her side of onions tasted soapy. * While eating my ribs, I found a packaged wet napkin under the food on my plate. It was still in the package, but it was under the food, which isn't sanitary (someone's hands placed it there). I told the waitress politely what happened. She apologized, stayed professional, and asked how the ribs were. I showed her the wet napkin under the food, and she reminded the assistant that I needed napkins (with a "please," of course). Then a woman who didn't identify herself as a manager (but must have been) offered cheesecake "for the hassle." It was a nice gesture, but we didn't want cheesecake. When I explained the rib incident, she said the busser told her she had been wearing gloves. That was 100% false, and that untruth made me wonder if the ribs were actually replaced or just "covered up" with more sauce. The cheesecake was barely edible--flavorless. We each took a bite and left the rest. We asked for the bill three times because we just wanted to leave. It took about 25 minutes to get it, and she finally brought napkins then. My girlfriend also asked for a takeout box for the barely eaten steak (for our dog), and that took about 20 minutes. Then the busser brought out a piece of plain cheesecake and said it was the takeout we ordered (we did not). The waitress later said the assistant gave it to us "since she felt bad," which was unusual since we clearly didn't like the cheesecake and we never wanted or ordered it. $140 total, and they didn't even comp the ribs--just gave us bad cheesecake we didn't want and couldn't eat. Not a great experience, and it wasn't even that busy - Saturday night and maybe 50% full at most. We won't be back. Solid one star. And we'll be redoing my mom's 82nd birthday dinner somewhere else. I didn't love the coconut shrimp because they were a bit overdone and the breading fell off easily but they weren't bad. I also didn't like the mashed potatoes because they were very lumpy but also overly creamy/liquid at the same time. The Caesar salad I got was fine but nothing special. My husband got the sirloin and ribs and enjoyed both. I had a bite of the ribs and they were really tasty. Our waiter was great and the food came out amazingly fast. We will probably come back soon.
