From the moment I walked in, I was pleasantly surprised by how large and beautiful the store was. Then I got paired with the AMAZING Rosa, and she truly made the entire experience! When I tell you she made me feel beautiful, comfortable, and never pressured, I mean it. From the very first gown we tried on all the way to me saying YES TO THE DRESS, Rosa listened to what I liked, stayed well within my budget, and somehow always knew exactly what to pull next. We found my dress and were even able to add a few custom details to make it feel even more like me. I am SO happy with my choice and cannot wait to see the final product! The owner was also amazing, and honestly everyone in the store was so welcoming. But Rosa was truly the sweetest--patient, kind, knowledgeable, and such a huge part of making this experience so special. Thank you, Rosa, for helping me find my dress!

Her price for altering my dress were half of what I was quoted in Manhattan and the alterations were turned around in a two weeks. Two other things I appreciated about Natalia were: 1) She made suggestions about how to alter my dress, but wasn't pushy at all and let me come to my own decision on train alteration. 2) She is extremely detail oriented. The top of my dress was a bit baggy. Instead of the easier alteration of adding darts, she instead did the more challenging alteration of taking in the bust in via the arm holes, which maintained the clean lines of my dress. Highly recommend Natalia for your wedding dress alterations OR just get your wedding dress there! I only found her after already purchasing my dress.

My daughter needed a prom dress but with three weeks until prom, we weren't able to custom order. We found both a prom gown and a graduation dress and purchased off the rack. Yvonne, the proprietor, made the alterations and delivered the perfectly fitted dresses in under two weeks. She also made Covid masks that perfectly match the dresses. We are over the moon happy with our purchases and with the gold standard service we received. What a treasure this shop is. UPDATE: Today, the day of my daughters prom, we realized that the hook that aligns with the bustle was missing. Frantically I left a message for Yvonne and she got back to me immediately. With her calm demeanor, she told me to come right in with the dress and she would make the alteration on the spot. It took under 15 minutes and the dress is now perfect. How many stores give this level of service? And all with a smile. Can't wait to lose weight so I can shop Kimera for myself!

I looked all over and even had the chance to do it overseas in different ways; through someone who does wear them sometimes and even through my in laws. I found Kimera design through Yelp and a trusted yelper and decided to go check it out. The store itself is beautiful. Filled up with amazing taste and originality. I was looking for a qipao but I was equally impressed by her gowns styles. These are simple but so beautifully crafted, designed and fitting to a woman body in combination with the most delicate silk fabrics in different colors that I just can't imagine you will be disappointed. Kimera's experience is extremely personal and dedicated to your needs and wishes. She's got ideas, talent, excellent suggestions and planing ahead. I love how respectful towards what you want she is, tho she will suggest improvements accordingly. After all, this is all about you girl. You should not let anybody to shape what you wish. For my dress we had 5 sessions from design and fitting until it was ready to pick up. I also wanted an special fabric after she showed me some samples. Such a beautiful glowing silk fabric with a delicate cherry blossoms pattern. I loved it and she was able to get it for me. Not only the bride can find her perfect dress but she's got plethora of styles for bridesmaids, mother of the bride, a guest or simply that dress for any other occasion in addition to weddings. My cheongsam not only is unique and a combination of ideas between the both of us, but beyond perfection. She made my dream dress become a reality for the most special day of my life. Girl, that's what we all look for and I can't recommend enough Kimera's designs. Whether you go exotic or traditional go and check it out. I can anticipate many will give it a try.

We waited over a half hour for Collette to finish with a previous bride. She didn't tell the other bride she had an appointment and didn't come upstairs to let us know. Already I was annoyed. To kill some time while Collette was fitting my sister, I decided to look at some of the dresses on the packed racks in their dungeon basement. "DO NOT PULL ON THE DRESSES!" I was yelled at and accused of touching, breathing, glancing, and apparently, ruining the dresses. I sat there as still as stone in between fittings. It's horribly lit and has looked the same probably since the very day it opened. Why is there a shark on the wall?!?! I will NOT be coming here when I become a bride; that's a total given!

I asked to stop the alterations because I could not afford to move forward. Susan said no problem and that the hem was done. When I picked up my dress, the hem was not finished, only the inner layers of the dress had been hemmed and they'd been hemmed WRONG! They were ascending rather than descending. This incorrect hem cost me $750 (1/2 of the total which is very high pricing!) but because I did not have an itemized receipt (though I asked for one) that price shocked me. The top layer was the shortest and they got longer from there so they were ascending rather than descending which is not how I brought the dress in or how wedding dresses are supposed to be hemmed. I called Susan, assuming it had to be a mistake, but she refused to fix her mistake. I found a seamstress to complete all alterations for 1/8 of the price. Susan had google remove my review threatening to sue me for defamation and extortion but I don't want her money, nor did I ever threaten her or lie. I just don't want others to have the experience I had. Google is biased and sides with business often. Customer service is all I ever asked for and wanted, a simple apology, any kind of offer to adjust the incorrect hem would have been more than enough.

There is a huge variety of styles, designers, and options, which is great if you want to try on a wide range of dresses in one appointment. That said, the overall experience felt much less personal than some of the other bridal salons I visited in New York City. It felt a bit like a factory of brides, with a giant room where many brides are trying on dresses at the same time. The mirrors were also surprisingly small and free-standing, and I felt very close up to them, which made it hard to really see myself clearly in the dresses. I also would have liked to step off the podium more to see how the dresses looked naturally, but my stylist seemed to prefer that I stay on it (and of course dresses tend to look better when you're elevated on a podium). The selection is definitely a major strength, and I understand why Kleinfeld is so well known. However, there are other bridal salons in New York City that feel much more personalized, spacious, non-judgmental, and relaxed. I also noticed that some of the stylists standing around elsewhere came across as judgmental, which took away from the overall atmosphere a bit. Overall, I'm still giving 5 stars because of the dress variety and the iconic experience, but I would say brides should go in knowing that it may feel less intimate and personalized than other boutiques in the city. I went on a weekday to avoid paying for the experience. I'd recommend others do the same, as I don't think the fee is worth it. My stylist also was the least knowledgable about dresses compared to other salons.

There is plenty of room for brides and their guests, and the large mirrors make it easy to really see each dress from every angle. They have a large selection of dresses in different styles, and a very large selection of veils and accessories. I felt the dresses were the extremely clean compared to some other bridal salons. My appointment felt very personalized from start to finish. Charlotte, my bridal stylist, was absolutely wonderful!! She made me feel comfortable right away and was so easy to talk to and work with. She gave thoughtful advice, asked great questions to help narrow down what I was looking for, and was able to find additional dresses that matched my style really well. She even found one of my favorite dresses of the entire process. She explained how the dress could be customized and helped show me what a strapless version would look like. Charlotte also went above and beyond by helping take photos and videos from all angles so I could really see what each dress looked like. She even took a video of me walking around in my favorite dress, which was so helpful. Her communication was excellent throughout, and I really appreciated how attentive, kind, and knowledgeable she was. She knew so many details about the dresses and what customizations were possible. She followed-up with a detailed email on what next steps would look like, and I didn't feel pressure to purchase a dress on the spot. Wedsing Atelier is also Suzanne Neville's authorized flagship store in the US, and those dresses are extremely high quality and have such a secure internal corset. Highly recommend trying them on. Wedding Atelier - New York City…read more Wedding Atelier completely ruined my dress during alterations. The cups that were sewn in were two sizes too small, causing my bust to bulge out of the dress. The underwire cut into my chest, pushing one breast to the right and the other upward. With every fitting, the situation got worse rather than better -- leaving me in tears with my wedding only a week away. I ultimately had to take the dress to another seamstress just to salvage it. To make matters worse, after three fittings, they had not even completed a hem. Wedding Atelier charged $1,300 for alterations -- payment required at the time of purchase -- and refused to refund a single dollar despite the damage they caused. The owner, Carrie, was completely unsympathetic and unwilling to take any accountability for what happened. She is unethical,. If you want to protect yourself from unnecessary heartache and stress in the lead-up to your wedding day, I strongly urge you to take your business elsewhere.
