Yes, parking can be as difficult as a full figured girl fitting into a size 4, but stick it out...ONLY if you have the patience of a saint. We waited over a half hour for Collette to finish with a previous bride. She didn't tell the other bride she had an appointment and didn't come upstairs to let us know. Already I was annoyed. To kill some time while Collette was fitting my sister, I decided to look at some of the dresses on the packed racks in their dungeon basement. "DO NOT PULL ON THE DRESSES!" I was yelled at and accused of touching, breathing, glancing, and apparently, ruining the dresses. I sat there as still as stone in between fittings. Bait & Switch! Initially, I came here because I Saw a dress that I liked online and it was a good price. However, I arrived and was shown a dress that was $1,000 more than the price online. So, If you come to this store on a budget, you will be very displeased. The workers are very pushy trying to get you to spend money outside of your budget. You'll tell them your price range, then you'll be showed dress $1,000 more than you can afford. Then they'll lie to the owner and tell her a price that you still cannot afford, they'll write up a slip and demand that you buy. You cannot discuss the decision to buy a wedding dress with whomever came with you. You are forced to buy a dress. And if you don't buy a dress, but buy an accessory (that you know you'll need) the owner will call you on your cell phone and tell you off. She will question you as if something is wrong with you for being on a budget. She will demand that you come back to the store. She will holler that she only sells dresses and not accessories! You'll have to return to the store because your money isn't good enough if you cannot afford the dress. Don't bother shopping here. A wedding dress should not be purchased on impulse. I want to first start out by saying that Fern is a gem! She was patient and wonderful throughout the whole process! Tammy, the owner, was kind enough to work within my budget to give me my dream dress. And the seamstress, Josephine, is a master tailor and a pro at what she does. My dress arrived 2 weeks after they said it would arrive but it was no big deal. When I made an appointment to do my fitting, however, the seamstress never showed up. My appointment was at 11am on a Friday. I took the day off work to drive half an hour to get the fitting done. When I arrived they said Josephine would be a half hour late. Again, no big deal- I decided to go grab a bite to eat and come back. I return and then an hour and a half later, I was told Josephine wouldn't be coming in that day. I literally wasted an hour and a half and an hour driving back and forth. I completely understand that July is the height of wedding season but each additional time there was a fitting, I felt like the wait time was obscene. There is only one seamstress who was overworked and complained during every fitting that she didn't get a lunch break and her coworkers never helped her. It's not a happy environment for any bride to be in and I really wouldn't recommend it to a future bride. The neighborhood also isn't in the safest parts of town! Never again unless I'm buying ready to wear. While the staff was friendly and courteous, the workmanship on the alterations was horrendous. The bridal gown and cape were not ready to be picked up until 10:00am the day of the wedding! By the end of the wedding the alterations made to the dress were falling apart. The sewing cane undone so that the added top was coming off. The dress along the zipper was not even sewn down at all. The dress still had pins in it and they tried to blame me because I didn't know which fitting it was ! It doesn't matter what it was called! The dress was supposed to be sewn and ready and was not. I'm looking for a gown for my son's wedding. I stopped in on a weekday morning shortly after the store opened for the day and you'd think that the saleswoman would be pleased to have a customer, even one who didn't make the mandatory appointment. Wrong! One cannot browse, can't take a gown off the rack, can't try on to determine size, and there are cameras watching (yes, I know they're security cameras but the saleswoman said the boss watches). Despite this, I asked to see gowns by a specific designer. I was informed that this brand is only available online. The saleswoman told me to order the gown I want and bring it in for alterations. Since I don't know what size fits me in this brand, which style looks best, and there's a ridiculous 50% restocking fee (which the saleswoman neglected to mention), I'm not following her advice. The store is dingy, the lighting hasn't been upgraded in years. Frankly, I don't care if I'm not served champagne as I shop but I do expect to be able to see the true color of the fabric I'm ordering. I shouldn't have to think about what's in the old carpet; I bought a dressy suit there years before and remember nearly stepping on pins in the dressing room. This place is the WORST. If I could give 0 stars, I would. The place is dingy and dirty, and disorganized, not to mention horrible service. My girlfriend, who's getting married, ordered her wedding gown from here and decided to have her bridesmaids dresses from here as well. She made an appointment for all of us to go one day in early March to choose the dresses. They had double and triple booked appointments, and there were 3 or more bridal parties trying on dresses at the same time, and we had 1 dressing room for our 6 people. The place was a crowded mess with not even a seat for us during this 2-3 hour ordeal. About 4 months after the dresses were ordered, I called the store to get an idea of when the dress would arrive. I was told mid-August, which was fine - it was 6 weeks before the wedding. I called again in mid-August and I was told the dress would be in the first week of September. I called again during the first week of September, and was told it has been shipped and it should arrive that weekend or Monday at the latest. I called again on Monday, and they told me it wasn't in yet, but assured me it would be in that week. I called that Thursday, and they told me the shipment was on the FedEx truck on the way to the store, but they didn't get the delivery that day yet, and that they would call me the next day to let me know it came in. The next day, I get no phone call, so I call them again. They tell me that the shipment was NOT on the FedEx truck for delivery, and that the shipment should come in on Monday or Tuesday. During this whole time, there were no apologies. I had told them that I would not be having my dress altered there because of the location - it's out of the way for me to be going back and forth for the fittings. And they tell me that if I was having my alterrations done there, it would be done in 2 days, so they don't know why I'm stressing. Hello? It's 11 days before the actual wedding and I didn't have my dress yet....that's reason enough, not to mention that I still had to have it altered. UGH. What's the point of ordering a dress 6 months prior to the event if you're only going to have it delivered to your store 10 days before the event? I seriously wanted to curse these people out (I have a life, family, and job - my life does not revolve around their delivery schedule). Well, when you first see the place on the outside you want to run for the hills! Its old dark and dingy, plus it is in a seedy area. Then you get inside.. and you still want to run for the hills. I made an appointment to come back with my Matron of Honor and Mother in Law to be so that they could see the dress before I purchased it. Before leaving the store my mother wanted to look at the mother of the bride gowns and that's where the day went terribly wrong. I dont know her name because she never gave it to me. But she was maybe Russian or Armenian, Very Petite with blonde/copper colored hair. The sales girl for this section was RUDE, SPOKE BROKEN ENGLISH, WAS NASTY AND NOT VERY CATERING. Lets face it. Im the customer.. I want attention, I want my questions answered, and I was to peruse around the store. They would not let us look at dresses unless we knew which exact dress we were looking for. Because of the way my mother was treated I will not go back to buy the gown. I was going to have custom beaded straps added, more beading at the bottom of the dress, a very expensive crystal tiara, a matching cathedral veil and a blusher. I ordered my dresses in December, after them giving me the run around for months I received my dresses 2 weeks before my wedding in April. My maid of honor dresses came in the wrong color. One dress my niece tried on had a bug crawling in the material . After trying several dresses and the elderly sales lady was wonderful and we found her dream dress . However the saga continues my Sister had a credit that the wouldn't honor so the fun began naturally the owner that was chatting with us disappeared . This place is simply HORRIBLE. They are incredibly nice until they get your money and then they could not care less about your concerns. I ordered my wedding dress from them over seven months prior to my wedding from their Allure Bridals selection. It took them over 6 months to receive it even though they initially told me it would take 5 months! They called me the first time to tell me it was postponed by a week but didn't call me thereafter- I had to call them every week until it finally came in. When I complained, the workers blamed it on the company and forwarded the call to the manager, Eva, who told me she had no clue about the situation and would have "fixed" it if she knew. When my dress came in, I went for a fitting and waited around 25 minutes for them to finish their other clients' dresses even though I had an appointment. After the fitting, I was told to come back 5 days later to try the dress on again and get the bustle done. My second fitting: I was so excited, I showed up an hour early to my appointment only to be told that they had not started working on the dress yet. Excuse me? You've had 5 whole days to do it! I was told by Eva that other brides have waited longer and that I'm not getting my dress a moment sooner. What a rude and insensitive thing to say to a customer! Bottom line: LESTAN 'S is run by UNPROFESSIONAL, IRRESPONSIBLE, RUDE people who don't care about their customers but who pretend to do so until they have your money. My experience is usually based on the final look of my dress after alterations and adherence to the wedding schedule. I've been a member of a few bridal parties and have ordered dresses here. I really wish they had more of the plus sizes available to get a better sense of the dress on different body types. The fitting rooms are small and the basement is just way too quaint for my taste. I walked in about an hour before closing time which was around 9 p.m. (which is pretty late compared to most places and a major plus) and was measured for my latest dress in under 10 minutes. Based on the bride's pre-selected dress style then factor in extra length for my height, I'm paying a little over $200 which is not going to break my bank. To be continued... read more

Like others have said--one star is one star too many. My family came here years ago for multiple family weddings. They have purchased bridal gowns, bridesmaid gowns, mother of the bride gowns, and pants suits. So it was a no brainer to come here when looking for a nice pant suit for my grandmother and great aunt for my wedding. Boy were we wrong. The place is dingy and had folding chairs for people to sit on. The staff was not accommodating or friendly either. When looking on their website, I saw a wide variety of pant suits at very reasonable prices ($300-$400). When we got there, there were only 4 pant suits in the entire store that ran from $550-$750!! Nothing that was featured on their website was in the store and what was in the store was hideous and overpriced. In fact, the rhinestones on the pantsuits looked as though they were hot glued on. I came here looking for a wedding dress. First of all this place needs a remodel STAT. The bridal area was pretty dim and the dresses looked like they have seen better days. There were definitely dresses there that had been there for years, and were yellowing a bit. The dress selection was ehh at best. I tried on a few dresses and was unimpressed. When we contacted Lestan, we were told the dresses had not yet arrived. We demanded that they tracked the dresses. We were then contacted two weeks before the wedding that the dresses had arrived. Only to find out that Lestan ordered our dresses two and three times our size, and then they had the nerves to tell us we have to pay $75 for alteration. I placed a phone order for a gown for my brother's NY wedding reception with them. I never went into the store. The woman on the phone informed me that I would have to pay in full in order to place the order and I would have to send an email to them stating that I allow them to charge my credit card for that amount in return for the specific dress I was ordering. The woman also told me on the phone before I wrote the email that the dress would arrive the second week of May for the June 2nd event. I agreed to place the order that day even though I felt rushed because the woman on the phone told me that in order to make the shipment for the second week of May I would need to order no later then that same day. They responded back stating that the dress would arrive "in May" and that the order is confirmed. Fast forward to the last week of April when I bumped into a friend and told her I ordered this dress from this store and she warned me to look at reviews online and to be on their backs to make sure they order the dress because her friend had ordered and paid for a dress from them and they never ordered the dress for her. They are not able to pay rent so they use the money to pay their bills but don't order the dresses. I started to get nervous and called the store that day and every couple of days after that. When I realized I was getting the runaround I decided to call everyday and go into the store to check up on it. I was getting a different answer everyday and speaking to different employees everyday. Second week of May arrives and passes and I was told that everything was fine and the dress was coming. I threatened a charge back for the dress not arriving in time and stated that if someone did not call me the following day by noon I would charge back. The manager/owner told me that if I charged back I would forfeit the dress and they would not order/deliver the dress. I told them they had until noon the following day to give me an exact date I would receive the dress in my hand. The following day they called me at 11:59AM and said that they had good news the dress would arrive in their store on June 1st. I told them that that is unacceptable and I would not have enough time to pick up the dress from them after they accept the shipment and have the alterations done. I told them that I would be doing a charge back and the situation was unacceptable. I got a call back from the store after a couple of minutes and was told I can pick any other dress I wanted from the same manufacturer and they promised it would arrive on time (keep in mind that the due date had past at that point). I told her I do not trust them and that of they could not deliver the first dress on time what guarantees me that the new style would arrive on time. I went to another store that week, ordered the same dress in a different color and received the dress within a couple of days. This dress was from the same supplier! With no problems or lies! I lost the charge back with my credit card company because the store did this many times before and has a fool proof method to win at charge backs. I appealed and lost that as well. Basically I lost the first charge back because the store claimed that in August the dress was available for pick up so come pick it up. When I went in, it was not there. The appeal was also lost because the merchant stated that there was no proof in writing that I asked to cancel the dress. The store told me that if I did a chargeback the order will be considered cancelled (so why would I need to do anything further to cancel the order?) (I never wanted to cancel the dress, I wanted the dress, I just wanted the dress on time!) I was in the store in September trying to pick up the dress but once again they gave me the runaround and the dress was not in the store and they would call me the following day. Noone called me. The credit card company said there is nothing they can do and the time to charge back is coming to an end. I am out of $700+ dollars, I am without the dress, and I have lost so much time and energy trying to resolve this. This store is a disgrace! My first experience at this store was excellent. Fern the bridal attendant was the best. She attended to all of our needs and then some. Our wedding coordinator bought some Champagne so we can sip while trying on dresses and Fern purchased butter cookies and roses for the bride to be. Ferns' personality and charisma just intensified our excitement that we already had walking into the store. The store itself can use some updating, it's not the prettiest bridal store I've been in by far. That being said, there was a large selection of dresses available to try on, including plus sized dressed and recent releases from some of the designers I had been following (Maggie Sottero, Allure). The staff doesn't seem super personable, but I think that's a cultural thing. I did find the dress of my dreams here, and the alterations department were open and willing to make all the changes I wanted- at the flat fee for alterations. I have not had my final fitting yet, but they have done a great job so far. I would definitely recommend them to other brides to be. read more

Wow! I'm surprised by the other reviews with low ratings! I got married in the summer of 2009 and got most a of my girls' dresses from Lestan's and I was very well satisified with their customer service, timeliness of alterations and preciseness of the date of arrival for the dresses!!! My rep. was Eva. I must say that she was amazing. In the beginning I was so indecisive about what I wanted my ladies to wear and Eva was not pushy nor did she leave me out to dry. She showed me different dresses, went throught the book with me about 2/3 times and helped me organize my vision! I wonder if I received a lot of attention because I was bringing in a lot of money, my bridal party was huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuge, so Idk. But I'd like to think I would get good service there either way! I would recommend them to anyone.The only reason why they aren't getting 5 stars from me is because of their space, Jaclyn was right on the money with calling it a "dungeon basement";), they are well overdue for renovations. One star is too many, but they won't let you give less than that. I can't stress the horrible customer service experience we had. My friend purchased her gown and we all bought bridesmaids dresses from here, 6 months before the wedding. We did not get the dresses until 4 days before the affair. Numerous people called to find out what was going on and we all got different stories. It was clear that they were lying to all of us and didn't care. They made the entire experience a nightmare and stressful. I would never recommend the store to anyone! Stay away! read more

I bought my dress here after seeing it elsewhere since they were closer and were cheaper for alterations. However, we were not happy with them at all. My 3rd fitting had to be rescheduled because the seamstress was sick and then even with rescheduling, we got a different seamstress. We hoped it would be my final fitting but there was still much to fix, things we had already mentioned and thought would have been taken care of. We told the seamstress what needed fixing and made arrangements to come back the following weekend. This 4th fitting was frustrating since it took a very long time for them to see us (at least 45 min) and my sister had things planned for me that day at specific times since it was also my bachelorette party. This fitting was with the original seamstress, who wasn't happy with the work of the other seamstress. Also, before we were seen, the seamstress was still sewing something (doing this past our appt time). We again saw the same problems with the dress and were very annoyed because now there was no other day for me to come back. It was difficult because I lived an hour and a half away and could only come on Saturdays without taking off from work. We told her we would be back later in the day after she fixed these last things (since the following weekend was my wedding!). We came back later that day and finally it was fine, though I was nervous about the length. She had been insisting that the dress was supposed to be longer in the back or front or something but as I planned on dancing a lot I was afraid I would trip or step on it. It turned out that I did step on a bit, but luckily I didn't fall. Also, when it was all done we had them steam it right then and there so we waited for that to be done. As we left I wondered if my veils had been steamed as well and looked in the dress bag. They had not. I brought them back in they then steamed them. I thought it very unprofessional that they didn't realize they were there and also needed to be steamed. In addition, they only took cash, which was hard since we didn't always know how much to bring with us and often had to go out to the bank to get more. Buyer BEWARE!!!!! This place is horrible!!! I would give it a negative star if i could! Trust me don't bother. I put a deposit on my dress 10 months before my wedding, I bought it off the rack and I was assured there was plenty of time to alter it. I needed to build up the top and they were going to order material for me. I called 5 months before my wedding To start to alter the dress they refused and told me they wouldn't touch it until 3 months before. I was assured over and over that they had my material and there was plenty of time. Of course when I come in for my first fitting its the wrong material, so now they have to order something else. I come in for my second fitting the alterations were awful!! The dress didn't fit at all. So I insist that they fix it and I said I would come back in 2 weeks, the morning of my fitting I get a call that the seamstress isn't there and they have to cancel the fitting, not only that but she also had not done any of the work to to dress! There is no apology at all!! I went in there and just took the dress, by the way the seamstress was right there of course so that was a lie. It is now 6 weeks before my wedding I have a dress that is half done and looks like crap, they are thieves for taking my money!!! I will now take this to a private seamstress and hope they can fix this mess. Thanks for nothing Lestan's you should be put out of business!!! read more

Lestan I would not recommend this bridal salon to anyone. I gave them a 1000.00 deposit and they did not order my gown. And 5 months after I gave them the money the gown was still not in. They lied and told me the manager Eva was not in and come to find out she was in and would not come to the phone. They did not get me a swatch for my gown because they did not order the gown until many months after my original deposit. They made an appointment for me to come in because the gown was in . I tried pick it up an hour or two earlier , and the gown had not even arrived at the store. The Russian woman Eva and RIBA r extremely rude on the phone and in person. On the phone they tell you to call in an hour for the manager and when you call the woman says' "Oh, I am not the manager, I am just covering the phone." The gown I ordered came in three months after they promised and just three weeks before the wedding. They expect cash when you pick up the gown which is illegal. The sale girl RIBA or Riva is condescending and nasty and seemed delighted that I was upset about my gown not arriving. She had a smile on her face like she took delight in the fact that the glow was not in. Really sick! read more

I cannot emphasize how AWFUL our experience was here. Stay far far away. Bought 11 bridesmaids dresses and the bridal gown here. Dresses were ordered back in the beginning of november and they were not all in until 4 days before the wedding (april 9th)and still needed to be fitted. Eva and Tammy were rude. Not once we're they helpful, supportive, or reassuring. It took the mention of a law suit to finally get the dresses here. Something that should have been a happy experience was beyond disastrous and caused immeasurable stress. read more
