Of all the wedding dress shops I've visited, Wedding Atelier had by far the most rules. Absolutely no video, limited pictures of only select gowns, no beverage (we couldn't bring Prosecco), no shoes (I get this), meant to pick dresses of only 1 cut style.... I totally understand the need to have rules because people can abuse the system. But for a bride coming in to spend money, it seemed a little excessive and unwelcoming. The service was very nice, it didn't feel overly salesy. They did immediately set boundaries with the number of dresses to try and made firm recommendations that we needed to stick to one dress type only. Overall, it's a nice gown shop with a good selection. It was very busy the day we went, so appointments in advance are necessary.

The fitting "area" didn't have a mirror so note it's more challenging to closely inspect the dress on your own. Definitely overpriced for very limited selection, which lacked variety. Was surprised that samples were often only priced maybe $500 off the "original price" (questionable if the listed original prices were even accurate, seems inflated, so hardly any cost savings). Many of the dresses were barely more than 20% off, most lower. They do have a small selection (1 rack) of plus sized dresses, although I didn't look through them but something to consider if you fall into that size range. Most of the dress sizes in bridal sizes 8-12, which had several racks. Hastily purchased a gown that I do regret. Note their policy of final sale, no exchanges. They do not take walk ins, but I called day of and received a same day appointment. I guess if you're desperate for a last minute dress with not many options, this places fills a role as you may find something to settle on. Apparently they have independent tailors they work with in store who they claim can quickly do last minute alterations as well but I cannot speak to the quality of said work and I see reviews questioning the quality. I also noticed they handle sales tax in an unusual way, which others may want to be aware of. Wouldn't say this is worth including in your journey to finding a gown in NYC unless you've run out of options.

It was such a great experience that I've come back for all of the alterations and have recommended him far and wide. Book an appointment and you will not be disappointed! He made me feel like a beautiful and happy bride from the first meeting.

A few weeks prior to my appointment I received an email from Ronnie, one of the salons owners inviting me to have a call with Brooke, the Director of Client Experience. Brooke called me about a week before my appointment and we went over my budget, what I was looking for in a dress, and details about my wedding. She also went through the process with me of using my online account to "love" dresses so my stylist could have an idea of what I was looking for in a dress. On the day of my appointment I arrived with two bridesmaids and we sat in the lobby until we met Candace and Jen who was assisting her. I was brought back into the dressing room and we went over styles I might like, budget and details about my wedding. She also wanted to know where I was in the dress shopping process to see whether I was still getting a feel for different styles. She pulled a number of dresses that were the style I wanted and within budget. The only dress I tried on outside of my budget was one hanging on the rack that caught one of my bridesmaids eyes. I had my own pedestal because the place was not busy and Candace and Jen were great at listening to my likes and dislikes. I ended up saying "yes to the dress," and I'm overall thrilled with the end result and my experience with Kleinfeld throughout the entire process.

Expertise matters when you work with a bridal consultant and we could not have been happier with ours. It was truly an experience right out of the tv show. We came, we saw, we went home overjoyed! I found myself trying to look for a similar style to what Jamie had found for me with no success. I reached back out and asked if she had the Yumi dress in the store. She did not but she called it in from another place so I can try it side by side with the top contender she had found. I had Sylvia as my stylist/consultant for the day and she was amazing!!! So sweet, so patient, and knowledgeable about the dresses and veils in stock, so she was able to help me make my decision pretty quickly! She made me feel super comfortable. I felt like the girls you see on TV shows and movies with the private room, Prosecco, and my loved ones by my side. There were plenty of unique dresses to choose from. Thankfully I'd already done my research so I knew what I wanted to try on. I loved the ambience of the place. I literally felt like the only girl in the building thanks to how the rooms are set up. It's super private, and maybe the music playing drowns out the other groups of people in the building. Or maybe my excitement was really loud too lol. I also love the window view -- I was able to look out and realize every so often that I was really in New York shopping for a wedding dress. If you purchase a dress, you get to take pictures with the yes to the dress sign, and they also send you off with a nice gift bag as a thank you! I wasn't expecting that! I would recommend this location for your dress needs. As beautiful as these dresses are, they don't exactly break the bank which is a relief. The star of my appointment was my stylist - she was everything and more. Annie took her time getting to know me (and my soon-to-be MIL) and helped me realize how confident and happy I can be in a wedding dress. Although I didn't say yes to a dress at Wona, as the price per dress was out of budget, I will always remember my appointment and will forever continue to recommend that newly engaged bride-to-be make an appointment while dress shopping. Not only did Nathan open the showroom early to accommodate me, since I was only there visiting New York for the weekend and booked a last minute appointment, he made me feel more beautiful than I ever could have imagined. I had literally developed an anxiety over trying on wedding dresses. However, within seconds Nathan took all that anxiety away. After taking a quick look at me, he immediately pulled the Isabella dress, and said I had to try it on. Though I had sworn off strapless dresses, his confidence and conviction made me excited to give the dress a try. It was the first dress I tried on there, and when I looked in the mirror I could barely believe my eyes. I had never felt more beautiful. I felt like a classic Hollywood actress who belonged on the red carpet. I tried on more dresses. Though each of them impressed me, none cast the same spell as Isabella. Every girl deserves to have her moment- when the entire world stops and all eyes are on her. Nathan gives you that moment. He makes you feel like the star you truly are. Of course, none of this would be possible without Leanne Marshall's vision. I have since tried on other dresses I hoped would compare to hers, but no one else makes them the way she does. However, to see them all (and trust me, you WANT to see them all), set up an appointment (required) to visit her NYC showroom. Each flowing, ethereal gown is more beautiful than the last. And the prices are absolutely fair! I initially worked with Angela, who was friendly, knowledgeable and enthusiastic from the get go. I loved so many of the dresses that it was hard to decide which one to purchase. She was flexible in allowing me to come back in for a second appointment to try on my favorites once more before choosing THE ONE. The showroom is small so you will be the only client there, which makes the experience relaxed and personal. At no point did I feel pressured to buy. After making the final decision, Angela was professional in helping me understand the contract and taking my measurements. My emails were always answered quickly and all communication was easy and pleasant. Shockingly, the dress was finished a week earlier than expected and took only 4 months total! I picked it up today and it is just the most beautiful piece of work. Whitney was very helpful and attentive in completing the sale. I feel beyond lucky to have found Leanne Marshall and to own one of her creations. Pictures to come at a later date :) Brides, do yourself a favor and visit Leanne Marshall Bridal! These gowns are just breathtaking and superior to many others I tried on all over NYC.

All parties have their own private rooms which are nicely lit. After discussing my wedding details and what I am looking for in a dress, she pulled a handful of dresses and we started the try-on's. There are also shoes to try on for height with the dresses. Grace-Ellis was really mindful of my budget, she reads reactions well, and gave great advice. She knew when I did or didn't like something, so she replaced a few dresses she had a feeling I wouldn't like with other ones, which I thought were great decisions. I really appreciated that she did that. I had a couple other appointments after The White Gown. She followed up with me in case I had any questions, and was so sweet and understanding. Never felt pressured at any time. I ended up saying yes to the dress at another shop, but there was a dress here that I really loved and made it a really difficult decision for me.
