SAID YES TO THE DRESS! I had an incredible experience at WONA in New York City. I booked an appointment for 5 Pm on a Friday, and from the moment I walked in, I was so impressed by the space. It is extremely large, clean, and beautifully decorated. They have two completely separate, huge rooms, so you are in total privacy from any other bride, which made the appointment feel really personal and calm. It was by far the largest room I had been in at any bridal salon in New York City. The guest area was also beautiful, with a large, gorgeous couch, and the actual fitting room was huge (definitely the most space I had anywhere while trying on dresses). My stylist was Sylvia, and she was absolutely amazing. She knew the dresses inside and out, answered all of my questions immediately, and seemed to know exactly which dresses I would want to try on. She was extremely personable and gave the perfect amount of space for me to figure out what I liked about each dress, while also offering helpful suggestions and options for what could be changed. I ended up wanting to personalize a dress with detachable sleeves and a non-sparkle lace, and Sylvia knew all of the customization options perfectly. She showed me exactly what the changes could look like and even brought out the identical lace without sparkles so I could really visualize it. She was so patient with me and handled everything perfectly, offering suggestions without ever being overbearing or pushy. She let me walk around in the dress, sit down, and do various poses. I really love many of their dresses as they have the corset back, making them so secure and giving breathability. They have so many incredible dresses with different styles, so it truly is a great place to find a dress. I later came back for a "say yes" appointment with some of my bridesmaids as I was between two dresses, and unfortunately Sylvia wasn't there. However, Hafsa was there and was just as wonderful. She answered so many questions I had about the boning, personalization, timeline, bustle, etc. I ended up saying yes to the dress, and the team was very patient while answering all of my questions about shipping, timing, alterations, etc and letting me read through the entire contract. I had seen some reviews mentioning concerns about the post-purchase experience, so I was a little nervous after purchasing, especially because I had questions about the sleeves and customized lace. However, when I emailed them, they responded very quickly and answered all of my questions thoroughly. I'm happy to update this review as the process continues, but so far WONA has been incredible! I flew from Texas to NY to find my dream wedding dress and not only did I have an amazing experience but I also found my dress! I had Sylvia as my stylist/consultant for the day and she was amazing!!! So sweet, so patient, and knowledgeable about the dresses and veils in stock, so she was able to help me make my decision pretty quickly! She made me feel super comfortable. I felt like the girls you see on TV shows and movies with the private room, Prosecco, and my loved ones by my side. There were plenty of unique dresses to choose from. Thankfully I'd already done my research so I knew what I wanted to try on. I loved the ambience of the place. I literally felt like the only girl in the building thanks to how the rooms are set up. It's super private, and maybe the music playing drowns out the other groups of people in the building. Or maybe my excitement was really loud too lol. I also love the window view -- I was able to look out and realize every so often that I was really in New York shopping for a wedding dress. If you purchase a dress, you get to take pictures with the yes to the dress sign, and they also send you off with a nice gift bag as a thank you! I wasn't expecting that! I would recommend this location for your dress needs. As beautiful as these dresses are, they don't exactly break the bank which is a relief. I had the experience of my LIFE as a soon-to-be bride at Wona Bridal. The dresses at WONA were absolutely stunning and made me truly feel like a bride. The star of my appointment was my stylist - she was everything and more. Annie took her time getting to know me (and my soon-to-be MIL) and helped me realize how confident and happy I can be in a wedding dress. Terrible experience with a pair of "custom" gloves I ordered through them to match my wedding dress. Wedding 1/10. Ordered in early August, drove from Boston to NYC to try on the first pair in late October, were completely wrong had a random zipper and no thumb hole, even after pulling up the email with exact pictures and video of the gloves I wanted they said the pictures were "unclear". They told me who ever measured my arms were wrong and didn't know what they were doing. They offered to re order for free (I paid almost 1000$ for the gloves and now have traveled back and forth to NYC from Boston Twice) came back 12/16 to get them, still wrong too big and too long. They then informed me that even though I paid for "custom" gloves I would still need to pay for alterations because the gloves were just made to the measurement of my biceps, so did not fit my wrist or any other part of my arm and were about 1/2 inch too big around my biceps and about an 2 1/2 inches too long. They don't understand the difference between special order item and custom item and refused to offer any help but offer to refer me to their seamstress for a price. read more

I could not be more disappointed in the customer service. I should have listened to the reviews stating that once you pay them, there is negative customer service. To the point where the sales associate hid in the back when we picked up dress... not so much as a "have a nice wedding." They made a mistake in ordering my dress, never called to confirm, and have taken no accountability. Really hate to give my money to people that run a business like that. My personal bridal experience with Wona has been nothing short of a nightmare. After waiting 6 months for my gown to come in, I was told that the cups on my dress were not customized to my bra size; it arrived with B cups at best and despite having a small waist, I am a D cup. I was told that the dress is not completely custom and the cup size is not something they customize; a truly farcical answer as anyone who works within the bridal industry or has purchased a wedding dress knows this is completely untrue. The official WONA order form for the dress even has a space for cup size, yet none was filled in on my order form. That aside, there is zero level of professionalism when it comes to customer service, even after I was a paying customer and had ordered a dress. Any inquiries into dress ETA and scheduling my first fitting were met with disdain and indifference; I was made to feel like I was somehow inconveniencing the salon manager/being too pushy. I would love to speak with someone higher up in this company to further discuss my lackluster experience. read more

We went on a weekday and had the first early appointment (best time to go). Foot coverings and temperature checks are required when entering. DO NOT GO HERE - this is a honest review I traveled all the way from TX with my sister for her "scheduled" AND "confirmed" 11AM appointment on a Saturday. When we arrived on time, there were 2 other women waiting outside for their 10:30AM appointment. That right there was a sign and we should have left. When one of the workers finally arrived, she said "would have been nice to know there was a 10:30AM appointment" they don't even have access to the schedule .... once again another sign that we ignored - not even the staff and management are on the same page - UNPROFESSIONAL. They were waiting for 30 minutes! So we go upstairs, and we wait. Then come to find out that my sister was never on the books, that's interesting since we called and confirmed several times. The owner also lacked professionalism, when speaking with my sister she said "well we actually had you on the books for virtual but I'm not going to go back and forth with you." We left, they DO NOT deserve your money or time. The dresses may be pretty (and that's an overstatement) but their service is ugly. Please if you care about good service don't come to this place. My Mom warned us while we were waiting outside with the two women who had been there 30 minutes waiting outside. When people show you who they are. Believe them . When we finally got in, that's when we found out that there was a "scheduling error" and tried to blame it on my sister. By this time they lacked all credibility. I'm sure the owner will respond with a subpar and response with a lack of acknowledgment. read more

1. Wona is completely unprofessional. I scheduled my in person appointment a few months ago and then called the same day I made an appointment to confirm that they had me down to come in for 11am and that they had a dress I wanted to try on. Of course, they confirmed both things. 2. I got there at 11am and there were two women waiting outside for their 1030am appointment.. how do you have brides waiting outside like that? Ridiculous. Still, the two assistants showed up after 11am. Both assistants had no idea they had a 1030am appointment and proceeded to tell us they didn't know because "they don't have access to the scheduling book"...so yall never know who is coming in or when to come in? Please, make that make sense. 3. One of the assistants told me I scheduled a virtual tour even though I called and confirmed that it was in person. She told me there was nothing she could do but call her manager, Bridget. Bridget told me there was nothing that could be done even though they messed up on THEIR end. They weren't even willing to have decent customer service. How are you the only store in the US and act like this? They need to build out more Wona locations because this one was absolutely the worst. 4. Bridget called me to say a bride just cancelled her 1pm appointment and that they wanted me to come back. But then proceeded to say that "you did schedule a virtual tour and I'm not going to go back and forth with you"...so no business etiquette and no customer service? Okay. Also, she didn't even confirm that I was to come in...she just said we hope you come back without confirming with me. So, based on what happened today, I'm assuming that the assistants probably don't know she even called me. The dresses are gorgeous but their customer service is ugly. Their own assistants were LATE so your dress will probably be late too. And watch, the owner will probably respond with NO acknowledgement like they did on multiple 1 star google reviews. read more

If I could give a 0/5 I would. This was my 5th bridal store I had been to and I've never experienced the level of body shaming like I have here. I am a curvy girl but by no means too large to fit into a dress! My consultant acted annoyed from the second I walked in the door. I had 2 dresses I wanted to try on and when those weren't my dress, she didn't seem interested in pulling anything else for me. I asked if there was anything similar to what I wanted and she straight up said "no". My dad then sat there and found a dress that was similar to what I wanted on the website. I loved that dress but the consultant told me I couldn't make the alterations that would make it perfect (all I wanted was to loosen straps). She made multiple comments on how the dress would be multiple sizes bigger for me but would still be tight. She didn't have a single nice thing to say about me. Once the appointment was almost over she asked if I wanted my measurements done. I said sure even though she had made me feel like crap. She then preceded to say "well I know you're a 16 but whatever". I wanted to cry and I was so discouraged. I ended up finding my dress somewhere else and my dress is a 12!!!! If you are looking for an amazing bridal experience, look no further than WONA Bridal. I cannot recommend WONA enough for how comfortable and confident the whole experience made me feel. I went to six bridal shops in NYC and WONA was easily my favorite (and not just because I said yes to the dress there!). Unlike other bridal stores where you might be standing on a pedestal in the middle of a large showroom, WONA has two private rooms that separate you from other shoppers browsing dresses. Your time there is truly personal and they really take the time to get to know your and your style, not to mentioned the dresses are beautiful and well cared for. My consultant Kayla was incredible, she was friendly, creative, and worked with me though all of my questions. She gave me all the time I needed to think and wasn't pushy or rushed like I sometimes felt at other stores. Kayla helped me see the exact vision I had by putting me in two different dresses in order to see the top and bottom combination of my dreams, it just felt like she really wanted to bring my vision to life! Super disappointed in my WONA experience...it's truly a shame that the women who work here don't properly fit the role of what being a bridal stylist should consist of. The dresses are gorgeous but the ladies are just rude and completely unfriendly. I fully regret going to WONA as my first bride dress shopping experience because it was totally underwhelming and I was actually embarrassed at the treatment by staff for my grandma and mothers sake. Don't bring family it will just be embarrassing and be prepared to be underwhelmed by the experience and interactions with the girls there. read more

Top service at Woná bridal! Came here with my parents before dinner and had a wonderful time shopping around and trying on wedding dresses for my wedding next year. The salon was so nice and well kept. The dresses were so beautiful and within a reasonable price range. Most of the dresses I was looking at were below $3500. The girls that assisted me were so kind and helpful. They helped me with the dresses, offered us all wine and were very attentive. One of the better bridal dress stores I've been to! So many cute dresses and the associate was amazing (forget her name, but she had curly hair and glasses). I wanted to come back again to get a second look at a dress and they squeezed me in before I left New York so I could see it again. Unfortunately I had a truly terrible experience from start to finish with Wona. I strongly caution other brides to be careful when considering purchasing a dress there. The assistant who originally helped me was rude and unhelpful. They took my measurements and ordered a dress according to my waist size, and despite not losing more than 5 pounds the dress that arrived was four sizes too big - falling off me and requiring significant alterations. The tailor they recommended actually insisted that I come out to deep Brooklyn (more than an hour away) several times for alterations, and the alterations that were made were sloppy/uneven and had to be redone by another tailor to make the dress wearable. I leave for my wedding in a matter of days and I'm still not sure that after all the chaos my dress will be ready in time. The tailor does not work for Wona directly, but she was vouched for by the manager (who has not offered any meaningful help or support throughout this process). Wedding planning can be very stressful, please do yourself a favor and get your dress from a salon you can trust, and which will take responsibility to ensure your dress is delivered correctly and on time. read more

We came back because we had a vision of adding a skirt , when we walked in The ladies were so prepared , we had only "one " skirt in mind , but it was awesome , they gave us so many options and took their time trying on and off , They went out of the way with a selection for us above and beyond !
