Stylist Jenny was absolutely amazing. I felt so comfortable with her and she made the trying on process so easy. She expertly had me try on other styles of dresses that incorporated elements I love from my initial vision to help me zero in on the exact style I want. She helped take photos, made my family feel so welcomed and was not pushy on buying right then and there. I took some time to think and have ultimately purchased the last dress she had me try. I visited Wedding Atelier with a friend who just got engaged. It was our first wedding dress shop together, so we were all excited about the appointment. Of all the wedding dress shops I've visited, Wedding Atelier had by far the most rules. Absolutely no video, limited pictures of only select gowns, no beverage (we couldn't bring Prosecco), no shoes (I get this), meant to pick dresses of only 1 cut style.... I totally understand the need to have rules because people can abuse the system. But for a bride coming in to spend money, it seemed a little excessive and unwelcoming. The service was very nice, it didn't feel overly salesy. They did immediately set boundaries with the number of dresses to try and made firm recommendations that we needed to stick to one dress type only. Overall, it's a nice gown shop with a good selection. It was very busy the day we went, so appointments in advance are necessary. read more

I was in New York to get fitted for a wedding dress, after saying yes to the dress a few months earlier from a very well known bridal salon. Sadly, they were not able to do the alterations they said they could do and ordered the dress about 5 sizes too big. I was devastated and my wedding was only 3 weeks away! My fiance calmed me down and assured me that New York was the fashion capital of the world and I would be able to find a new dress. I did a mad dash of research until 2 a.m. and Wedding Atelier was at the top of my list after reading their Yelp reviews. I called about one minute after they opened the next morning. Alisa answered and was there to save the day. I explained the situation and she was able to squeeze me in that day. From that moment on, I had an amazing experience. She sent me text confirmations and even let me arrive a little early, so I would have more time to find the perfect dress. We arrived and were chatting with Alisa about dresses in no time. She asked me a bunch of questions about our venue, the feel we were going for and my style. The hard part was that I needed something off the rack that I could leave with that day and needed little to no alterations. In no time she returned with about 5 or 6 dresses. All of them were gorgeous, fit well, and were under budget. When I tried on each dress, she would ask questions and then came back with another round of dresses for me to try. It really came down to two. She got me veils, shoes and flowers to give me a better feel for the whole look, and had me sit down in a chair, so I could get a real feel for the dress. It didn't take me long to decide--it was a beautiful dress and veil that really fit the nautical feel, the venue and a July 1 wedding date in Annapolis. Alisa was fantastic. She put me at ease when I was freaking out, she never made me feel rushed and I felt like she really listened to me throughout the entire process. I absolutely loved my dress and the veil she picked out was gorgeous. I was so happy that my husband loved it, too. Not realizing I'd gone here when my sister was wedding dress shopping, I booked an appointment here as well, and as soon as I stepped in the elevator and recognized where I was, I knew I made a mistake. I'm sorry to say it but my experience at Wedding Atelier just was not up to par. The shopping experience itself left something to be desired but both post-purchase pre-receipt experience and the actual dress were not near expectations. Particularly considering the high price, it just isn't a spot I'd recommend. Shopping: I went to 10 stores and Wedding Atelier was lucky number 11. I suspected I'd find my dream dress so brought my mom, sister, and best friend (January 2020). Unlike every other store I went to, including many at a lower price point, you're really on top of the other shoppers. There's no divide and hardly any space. Of course, they have a great Manhattan location so maybe that's the tradeoff? Communication: I do understand that my timing was unlucky - with COVID, the store shut down and from what they explained to me, they couldn't access records remotely. But eventually that starts getting to be an insufficient answer with a several thousand dollar purchase - I emailed and called in April, then May and didn't get a response until June. At this point, I was getting worried I wouldn't have my dress in time. Eventually I did hear back and was able to get my dress in time but they caused some real stress. THE DRESS: I had a vision of what I wanted (A-line with a corset) and suspected I'd be able to find it here. I did with a Suzanne Neville dress. Of course, wedding dress shopping requires some creativity as you're typically not trying on exactly what you'll buy. In this case, the dress was relatively beat up and in a back and forth with the woman working, I decided to swap the fabric above the belt for a slightly custom dress. Great. As you can see in the photo, the fabric we swapped in was nowhere near the quality it should've been to hide the boning. I had to Photoshop it out of all the wedding photos that were at all close up. In addition, the back puckered and my seamstress couldn't fix it. I understand COVID and people's sizes may change but this one didn't seem like an oh you gained/lost a few pounds issue to me. You are at the mercy of the consultant who is assigned to you and hope that they can understand (after showing them pictures of dresses from their website in my price range none seemed to be in store and they had only 1 dress like it?) 2. They appointment says you can try on 8 dresses and you have an hour and 15 minutes. I tried on 5 asked about other dress with 30 minutes left and the consultant said she had nothing for me 3. I will be speaking to the store about one issue as it was very inappropriate I've been to 3 places for myself and others for friends and family members and have never had a worse experience. My parents were shocked and commented how unwelcome we felt and that the consultant had such an attitude. Maybe she was hung over. Maybe she was having a bad day. Maybe she's just a nasty person. Regardless DO NOT GO HERE. Read the other negative reviews, I'm glad I didn't buy my dress here as it seems like the process only gets worse. This is not where to go for dress shopping. read more

I can finally rate my most wonderful and perfect experience with Wedding Atelier now the wedding is over after 3 years of planning/rescheduling due to COVID! I found my dream dress in summer of 2019 after what I felt was an extensive search among the city's main bridal salons (best options and staff in my opinion). They have all sorts of styles to narrow my choices and the consultant knew what I was looking for (the swan lake feel). They made it through the tough pandemic time in 2020; I had a nice chat with Carrie the owner when I picked up the dress in summer 2020. The whole time they were accommodating and nice. The salon is beautiful, clean and welcoming. Staff all super friendly, unpretentious and beaming with energy. They provide helpful advice. Terrible experience from the day after purchase to my wedding day. Let's start with the search- I was paired with Chloe and had a decent vision of what I wanted. I ended up purchasing a dress that I'd tried on elsewhere ( Suzanne Neville). The only thing that impressed me about the shopping experience was the Covid precautions, Chloe was nice enough but seemed annoyed and frustrated when I had questions. I was ordering a custom dress and had nothing to base it off of with pictures, so for an expensive purchase, I felt within my right to ask questions. She was unhelpful and at times, aggressive. I emailed her and was absolutely not pestering, but she was short. Fast forward to the production-- I was told I would get my dress early September. It did not arrive until NOVEMBER. My wedding was December 18... I was straight up lied to and when I contacted Suzanne Neville directly via Instagram, they had the dress ready and waiting!! So basically I was lied to when I called... they had not bothered to ask the designer and I literally had to take this into my own hands. The dress was beautiful which speaks more to the designer than wedding atelier. NOT happy with the incredibly expensive tailoring/alterations that I was forced to do in house bc the dress was "late". Bull shit. See pictures- the piping on the bodice was fully visible. Bummer. 7.5k out the window. I had FOUR FITTINGS and pointed this out every time but it never improved. Now let's get to pick up day... I had the horror of witnessing the owner and Chloe herself absolutely shaming a new consultant. They were quizzing her on the clientele, saying she should know the " caliber" of people shopping, quizzed her on how much real estate was in the hamptons... all within ear shot of customers. I am writing a review for the first time in my life to ensure that brides do not shop here. From start to finish, I had a HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. Do not shop here unless you want to end up in tears on your wedding day (and the many days leading up to it). I ordered the Hayley Paige Teresa gown. I purchased it in February for a July 3rd wedding. I paid rush shipping and rush alterations to get it in time. I ended up paying close to $5K for the dress with alterations. I spent another $3k+ to get a cape for the dress. To start, my dress was delivered 1-2 weeks later. My sales associate had apparently left (no one told me) and it was a nightmare trying to schedule 5 fittings in the last 2 weeks before you wedding, especially when you have a demanding job. I will say that the manager Lisà did a great job trying to step in and smooth things over. Going into my wedding, I had put the delay behind me and was happy that I liked the fit of my dress. Fast-forward. BEFORE my ceremony started, BEFORE pictures, I realized that the entire back of my dress (the entire strap that connects my neck to the waist) had fallen off. I started crying, literally in a corner in the moments before the ceremony. What was supposed to be a beautiful detailed elegant designed partially backless dress was now completely open back. Without that back strap, I also had no support whatsoever and the dress was completely falling down in the front. I reached out to the store 2-3 days after my wedding and only finally spoke to them today about a resolution (3.5 weeks later). They said that once they sold me the dress, it was apparently not their problem. If you want a place that stands by its product, this is not it!!! See below pictures. This was my first bridal appointment so I wasn't really sure what to expect which could have contributed to the uprightness my friend and I felt. We weren't allowed to self browse the racks. I was taken aback by the email pre apmt stating you could only take pics of the dress you like. Luckily this was not enforced and my consultant was actually really helpful ie clipping the front of my dress so I could get a pic of the back. I had a lovely experience here. Riley, the young woman who styled me, was so nice -- no hard sell, just cheerful and good at her job. She listened to what I said I wanted and pulled five or six dresses for me. Of those, a few were definitely not right, but two were stunning! One especially fit like a dream. It was a British designer named Suzanne Neville and I can't get it out of my head. This was my first wedding dress shopping excursion so I have to try on more before I make a decision, but I may well come back and buy this dress from Riley -- if they can make it in purple. They said the designer maybe open to that. (I did say I was partial to a sleeve or a strap and that I wanted to try at least one poufy mermaid bottom, and she didn't really give me much in the way of those options. I didn't get to try a big poofy bottom, be auae they didn't have that on stock for me. And veryimited sleeve/strap options. But my guess is that was not really her fault and more a situation of limitations with the stock and my large bust (hard to find dresses to fit a G cup, so anything without internal structure won't work. I am pretty sure that she would have brought me more of what I had wanted to see if it actually existed.) As for details: the salon is elegant, clean, and each person has their own section for their fittings. You can look at dresses on racks in your own section, though not in other brides' sections. I had four specific dresses in mind from designers I knew were limited in the New York area, therefore I flew to NYC from Buffalo, NY on the hunt for these contenders. My consultant, Yvonne did not try to deter me one way or another. She pulled the four dresses and was so patient while I FaceTimed my mother back in WNY so she could see each dress and be a "part of the appointment." Thankfully, my number one choice ended up being "The Dress" and Yvonne helped me accessorize with the perfect veil. I did not feel pressured or rushed and her expertise and experience was greatly appreciated. I had an awful experience with Wedding Atelier. They carry beautiful dresses however their upper management has no moral compass and they are completely unethical. My destination wedding was cancelled, not postponed, due to Covid, and therefore I have no reason to wear a wedding gown. Wedding Atelier had my dress order for less than 2 months before I pleaded with them to cancel it. I called and emailed the company repeatedly throughout the end of March and April while their store was closed. When they finally responded in late April, they confirmed that that the dress production had NOT started, but that the designer had "purchased the fabric" -- and Wedding Atelier would not refund me a cent of my 60% deposit. They did say that I could swap the dress for another one from the same designer, but again, I told them that I had no need for a wedding dress as I was not having a wedding. Given that production on the dress had not even started, and I am not moving forward with the dress, any ethical business would understand that this is an unusual circumstance and work with their client to try to refund at least part of the deposit. This isn't a situation where I had a change of heart on my dress or my wedding was cancelled after the dress was already produced. We are in the middle of a worldwide pandemic, and all of our other wedding vendors have been understanding and reasonable and refunded at least a portion of our deposit, despite strict contracts. Carrie, the manager, was extremely condescending and defensive in her emails and threw a "we are small business" line at me -- completely disregarding the fact that I am not receiving any goods or services from her business - and that the dress had not even started to be produced. They are even keeping the money for the shipping cost when there won't be a dress to ship! Wedding Atelier's management is money-grubbing and morally bankrupt. They should be ashamed for the way they treat brides during this truly painful year. read more

I have mixed feelings about writing this review, as I take some responsibility for what has gone wrong. I originally picked out my dress last August and had a great experience with Chloe at Wedding Atelier. I had my dress tailored this past summer. Throughout the tailoring process, I didn't love the dress but couldn't put my finger on why. Earlier this week when I took the dress home, I brought it to another seamstress for a second opinion. She informed me that the dress had been tailored in such a way that the proportions are no longer in-tact. As such, she could not help me fix it (too much fabric had already been removed). My wedding is next week and I just overnighted an off-the-rack dress to wear instead. I wish I had said something sooner, but I have no idea how something should be altered and would not have known to say "this lace should be taken in along the breast line and not up at the shoulders." I am posting this here instead of complaining to the store because I am not trying to ask for a refund. I simply want to flag that while May is lovely and I'm sure she does an amazing job on most alterations, you may want to take a dress that requires intricate edits elsewhere. read more

Visited this place when they finally opened after covid restrictions were lifted in July - have to say I felt 100% safe. They minimize outside contact by giving you slippers to wear right when you get inside, and requiring masks at all times. Each dressing area is separated from other ones so you don't ever feel compromised by the other bride groups - but also still lets you bring in 2-3 of our own bridesmaids to help you pick your dress. Only the staff touch the dresses too. This review is for Riley! I was fortunate enough to have Wedding Atelier be my first fitting because although I had looked at some dresses online, I really had no idea what styles would look good on my body. Riley was great at listening to the vibe and feel of my wedding decor, then giving me a range of dress styles to try on. I actually loved the first four dresses she gave me - and the fourth ended up being *the* dress! Riley was super knowledgable about the dresses and what the alterations and bustles would look like, as well as giving me real advice about my wedding day. After going to 7 more fittings at other places I have to say Riley was definitely the best at knowing how to clip the dresses to make them look like those huge sample sizes actually fit. This helps tremendously in the dress selection process because big ass ill-fitting dresses just don't look right and make it super hard to decide. Another bonus is that some stylists just try to tell you what you want to hear in order to make the sale - but Riley was very honest about what she thought looked good or would work or not work. read more

I visited 11 (yes, I know, I'm insane) bridal salons in NYC. Wedding Atelier was the only one where I felt pressured to buy on the spot. Even though this pressure was subtle, it was still there and made me uncomfortable. Let me explain. The store is huge and beautiful, as well as quiet and zen. Removed my shoes and walked the store in slippers, looking at the gorgeous selection of gowns. My consultant was funny, exceptionally friendly, and good at her job and found me flattering dresses that I wouldn't have picked on my own. However, as the end of my appointment came, she insisted that I stay and try on my favorite gowns again with shoes and veils, etc. I understand that that helps give an overall picture but at that point I really just wanted to go home and mull it over. We ended up going 15-20 minutes OVER our 75 minute appt time. It seemed she didn't want me to leave until I had picked something. This made me feel pressured to make a decision in the moment, which I really didn't want to do. As I was changing back into my clothes, she started mentioning promotional deals (if I came back the same day I would get a discount, etc.). I could really feel how badly she wanted the sale. I didn't experience this at any other salons. It was a total turn off! Needless to say, I did not buy my dress from Wedding Atelier. read more

She picked out several dresses for all, all of my taste. The very first dress I tried on I ABSOLUTELY LOVED! I wish I could give this place zero stars. Last night was my wedding night but I can't sleep because I'm so upset about my dress. PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT GO HERE. I had my appointment in March and picked out my dress with Gwen. Who was truly awesome but I picked a dress on a trunk show and they pressured me very hard to get it that day or else it would have been gone. (Obviously I should have waited and picked another dress). So we order the dress I told them my cake would have lace to match and they offered to order my a swatch of fabric. Awesome right!? NEVER CAME. NEVER ORDERED. So my cake maker changed my cake to something else. Fine. Over it. I get a call when my dress came in to make my appointments for my fittings. The woman who does that is awful, so rude. She's like you owe us your balance and call ASAP. I DIDNT HAVE A BALANCE. she kept accusing me of having one. Look at the sheet lady I paid for my dress all up front and in cash. So finally she believed me and we moved on. Fittings start. My moms come so they could feel involved. They came all the way from Florida and Kentucky to enjoy it. The seamstress was very nice, the manager is a witch from hell. My dress to me just didn't look like the one I tried on so the seamstress was going to work. While she was doing that the manager would cut in and say "SO YOU DONT HAVE AN OPINION?" I've never worn such a dress in my life I was thinking about things. GIVE ME A SECOND. I didn't know which bustle I wanted after 6 seconds. During this they ask me if I want or need any accessories. I said I have shoes and a veil but I really want to look at necklaces and a hair clip. Also would like to book an appointment to look at a second dress. They said okay.. But guess what. No one showed me anything. It turns out my consultant quit or something and didn't work there anymore. Which is probably why the ladies there didn't give a shit to help me because they weren't the ones that made money off of me. Just truly disappointing that they had that effect me! So they give you three fittings and a pick up. My dress got better each time and last week at my final fitting they said "I'm going to add more boning so the dress stays up better". My biggest regret is looking her do that. What place does something to change the dress at there final fitting then the only thing they'll let you do next is pick it up. They would not let me try it on after the changes. MAJOR CHANGES. There excuse is they have it all packed up and ready for you to take. My worst nightmare came true ladies. My wedding literally ended hours ago and I can't even sleep. I was that bride that pulled up her dress ALL NIGHT. the boning they added made the top so heavy that it sat 3 inches away from my chest. We tried to sow me into it as best as possible used 12 pounds of tape. It was awful. Also my jacket didn't fit at all. I wanted it for the ceremony. I had to come and share what an awesome experience myself and the Bride had at WEDDING ATELIER specifically with our dress consultant MARNIE. This was the first boutique the bride booked with and the first dress she tried on. The bride spoke about what she envisioned for her beach wedding and Marnie was so specific and pulled a few options and the First dress stole our hearts! We didn't want to be too hasty, so we continued to our other appointments but no consultant after Marnie made us feel "taken care of" the way she did. We ended up "Saying Yes To The Dress" at another wildly popular and televised Boutique (you guessed it!). After a few weeks, the bride had second thoughts as we all did. The first dress that Marnie selected was a show stopper so we went back, booked with Marnie and snagged THE DRESS! The best part is that, WEDDING ATELIER priced matched her dress! What I failed to mention is that there was the exact Show Stopper dress at Kleinfelds...and the amazing Manager at WEDDING ATELIER (who's name I don't recall) went above and beyond the to make our bride happy by matching the price of the dress! I personally have previously worked in Bridal as a consultant and I have to say I was blown away by the humility here and I highly recommend it! read more

I had an unfortunate experience here. This store miraculously had a sample of a dress I had been hunting down. When I went in to try it on, I was told not to look around the store but to only stay in one area. They simply didn't want people to browse the gowns, which is hilarious to me since the gown investment is major. Why wouldn't they let me browse all the gowns, with an appointment? Then, my appointment was in a very quiet area of the store since the main area was taken up by a girl in tears since the store had made a major error and her dress had not arrived after she flew in from Texas. Clearly, many mistakes were made. They made time for a consultant to fit me into the dress I called about. After trying it on, she became very pushy and immediately tried to schedule me for measurements and ordering. I said I'd need to get back to her in a day or so. When I emailed her 5 days later to proceed, she must have clearly been offended that I waited a few days and never once replied to me. After living in New York for 13 years, this store is more for tourists that they can trap. If you're a savvy lady, you'll see right through this place. I would shop elsewhere. read more

This was my first stop when looking for dresses in the city, so I had an idea of what I was looking for when I arrived but had never tried on bridal gowns before and was not sure what to expect. The salon was clean and all of the staff was professional and polite. The consultant I worked with was timely and friendly and also did an excellent job of listening to what I preferred. She seemed to "get" what I was saying about style and fit. I was close to finding the right dress and had one that I really liked, but I was not completely certain and still had one other appointment to keep later in the week at another bridal salon. I ended up finding my dress elsewhere and not needing to return to Wedding Atelier, but I had a positive experience there and would have been willing to purchase had I not found the "dream dress" a few days later at a different store. PS: Their website suggests that they do not have very many affordable dresses under $3,000, but they do have a wider selection in that price range in store. The dress that I had liked best was only $2,400, and they seemed to have several nice options in the $2,000 to $4,000 range. read more

Debra was just great and so attentive even my party who was with me all stated the same she was awesome, sweet, attentive and so helpful. Debra really listened as i described what i was looking for was without knowing exactly which dress it was and she pulled a few dresses out which i was WOWED! Just gorgeous but even after i knew which dress was my dress she suggested to come in for a trunk show. I came in on 2nd appt for trunk show and tried a few beautiful dresses but nothing beat the dress that was waiting for me that she and I knew was The Dress. At the end i said YES to the dress and i can not be any more happier. AVOID AND SKIP IT! I came here a few weeks ago with my friend to look at dresses for her wedding and we were helped by Marnie. She was attentive to our needs and gave us a bunch of dresses to try on but said that we could NOT take photos of our friend in the dresses because a mysterious "stylist" was coming in and asked for no photos. Annoying but okay. Last weekend my friend returned to look at a few more and take photos (since we were forbidden the first time). Instead of helping it her again it quickly became a horrible experience. Marnie restricted her to 3 dresses which would be fine except she said it was because she was STRETCHING OUT THE DRESSES. She then told her she needed to buy spanks and that she was bigger than most brides that came in. Yup, apparently there is a size restriction to try on dresses here and it's a size 2 or smaller. While I appreciate it's difficult to work in a salon it's not worth anyone's time to be told you are too large to be a bride. With so many options in the city save yourself tears and go elsewhere. Also, you have to beg the security guard to let you in on a Saturday morning and remove your shoes. All too weird for what your spending. read more

She was so helpful in finding the style I wanted exactly and she also stayed in my budget range. I had a wonderful experience at Wedding Atelier. First, the salon itself its beautiful and serene. They had many options in my price range, and have dresses of all styles. They also encourage you and your friends to look at and pick the dresses, unlike other bridal salons who don't let you. Melissa was encouraging and honest, and helped me pick the perfect dress. She even shared her email with me, helping me pick a style for my bridesmaid dresses and answering other questions. Finally, the fitting process was seamless. I had been all over NYC looking for a wedding gown and I finally came to wedding atelier. I had an amazing experience all because of Chloe! She guided me through all the different styles I thought I liked and narrowed it down to 3. With the help of Chloe, my amazing girlfriends and my mom, I found the one! Even when it came to the fitting, Chloe was there giving helpful advice and holding my hand the entire way. She is calming and funny and really knowledgeable about what works! pros: Nice place to look for wedding gowns as long as you aren't in the market for a ballgown or princess dress. 4 stars for the service from my WA consultant. I got to try on a variety of gowns and she was very helpful and nice. Cons: it was a sunny summer afternoon in July and the place was humid and stuffy. Trying on gowns in such an environment was not ideal. The people who buzz you in (doors are locked downstairs) aren't too friendly either so my first impression wasn't too positive. Gown types range from A line to mermaid to fit and flair and all things between that give you a soft, ethereal and romantic vibe. If you want show stopping and grand, this is not the place. We spent the least amount of time at this bridal salon; 5 gowns in and out in 20 minutes. read more

This is the best experience you can have choosing a wedding dress. The managers and staff are exceptional. The service here is superior to all the other shoppes we visited. Allison and Lisa(manager) were fantastic- they listen, educate, and select dresses based on everything you desire and what enhances your experience. They are accommodating, professional, kind, helpful, and incredibly good at what they do. First class service, personable staff, and remarkable selection of the very best gowns available from top designers. This is the kind of place that will make you want to cry tears of joy for having found a place so attentive. They're not sales people. They're actually women who really want you to find a dress that you love. I've been to too many places that don't understand this which is insane when you are paying THAT much money for a dress. It's not a dollar slice of pizza. It's a dress that's going for more than 2K and will be worn on a day that's celebrating the union of two people in a room with only close friends and family. So do yourself a favor and if you ever walk into a bridal salon that treats you like you're ordering just a slice of pizza, walk out and come here. I worked with Kelly and Lisa.... For background, I work with clients on a daily basis so when I say they are the BEST, I don't say that lightly. They really are the best. They asked the right questions, listened to what I was looking for, and recommended a dress that fit me perfectly and looked amazing. read more

My experience was terrible and my sales consultant was condescending and unfriendly. She was rude, mean spirited, and made an already vulnerable day so much more stressful than it needed to be. She wouldn't listen to my requests, she barked at my family, she rolled her eyes every time I asked a question, and I had to beg her to let me try on one dress that I loved that she said "wouldn't flatter" me. I ended up loving that dress btw, and found it to be quite flattering. I felt like I had to beg for kindness, and I was literally cracking jokes like a stand up comedian, in the dressing room, to try and make her smile or converse. I had to mediate between her and my family. All around terrible. I have since gone to two other salons and had a much better experience I completely feel for those having a bad day, but quite honestly - while I found my favorite dress at this salon... I think I may have to go with another one just to avoid interacting with this staff again. read more

Very disappointed. Would give 0 stars if possible. These are not civilized people. They are more like machines and don't care about the bride to be. They just want your money. I had an appointment booked. And just like all brides to be I was visiting various bridal stores to find my dress. I happened to find my dream dress the night before my Wedding Atelier appointment. I had to purchase it immediately as it was off the rack and could not risk losing it. (My wedding is very very soon and I desperately needed a dress!!) I did not get back into the city until 11 pm that night. My phone had been dead for a few hours. So I planned to call and explain the situation the next morning to Wedding Atelier to let them know that I already found a dress and won't be needing their services. Instead of being supportive for a new bride, they were nasty. They refused to refund my deposit money. What would have been the point of coming in if I already had a dress??!!!!! If I would have known that they would be so nasty and money grabbing and machine like instead of human, I would have just went there so as not to lose the 50 dollars. It would have been an hour of my time wasted but at least I wouldn't feel cheated about them taking my money for no reason. I never could have imagined this being the outcome. Any civilized wedding gown store would have immediately understood the situation and refunded the 50 dollar booking deposit. They are rude and uncaring. Not the place I want to spend my money, nor would I recommend to anyone else. The Bridal Salon of Manhasset is amazing. They cared about helping out with costs. They understand that every dollar counts when you are planning an expensive wedding!!! read more
