I don't even know where to begin because I don't think I have the words to truly express how incredible this place is. Prior to my Leanne Marshall appointment, I had gone wedding dress shopping twice and had already surrendered to the fact that the "this is it" moment was something I was never going to have. I left previous wedding dress appointments feeling sad and defeated. I had even sworn off strapless dresses, I loved so much in photographs, because I thought they just didn't look good on me. Not only did Nathan open the showroom early to accommodate me, since I was only there visiting New York for the weekend and booked a last minute appointment, he made me feel more beautiful than I ever could have imagined. I had literally developed an anxiety over trying on wedding dresses. However, within seconds Nathan took all that anxiety away. After taking a quick look at me, he immediately pulled the Isabella dress, and said I had to try it on. Though I had sworn off strapless dresses, his confidence and conviction made me excited to give the dress a try. It was the first dress I tried on there, and when I looked in the mirror I could barely believe my eyes. I had never felt more beautiful. I felt like a classic Hollywood actress who belonged on the red carpet. I tried on more dresses. Though each of them impressed me, none cast the same spell as Isabella. Every girl deserves to have her moment- when the entire world stops and all eyes are on her. Nathan gives you that moment. He makes you feel like the star you truly are. Of course, none of this would be possible without Leanne Marshall's vision. I have since tried on other dresses I hoped would compare to hers, but no one else makes them the way she does. She understands what is most flattering on a woman's body, and it's the subtle but very important details she pays attention to that make a world of difference. I had a fantastic experience working with Leanne Marshall Bridal. A small number of her bridal gowns can be found at Lovely Bride. However, to see them all (and trust me, you WANT to see them all), set up an appointment (required) to visit her NYC showroom. Each flowing, ethereal gown is more beautiful than the last. And the prices are absolutely fair! I initially worked with Angela, who was friendly, knowledgeable and enthusiastic from the get go. I loved so many of the dresses that it was hard to decide which one to purchase. She was flexible in allowing me to come back in for a second appointment to try on my favorites once more before choosing THE ONE. The showroom is small so you will be the only client there, which makes the experience relaxed and personal. At no point did I feel pressured to buy. After making the final decision, Angela was professional in helping me understand the contract and taking my measurements. My emails were always answered quickly and all communication was easy and pleasant. Shockingly, the dress was finished a week earlier than expected and took only 4 months total! I picked it up today and it is just the most beautiful piece of work. Whitney was very helpful and attentive in completing the sale. I used to watch Leanne, on Project Runway and loved her creativity from the start. When it came time to look for a wedding dress, I didn't need to shop around. I knew I wanted a Leanne Marshall gown. I had my WORST dress shopping experience here today. I was in the neighborhood and yelped this store. I knew I didn't have an appointment and I wasn't expecting to show up and try gowns on; I merely wanted to take a 5 minute look through the dresses to see if there was anything I liked and would then set an appointment. The man that worked there opened the door and frantically said that he's almost done with his appointment and that I needed to wait outside and then he closed the door. I didn't have a chance to say anything else. There's no real waiting room. I waited for sometime in a dimly lit hallway on a bench. No customer service, no greeting, no offer to get your coat or to let you know where/if there was a restroom. After sometime, 3 other ladies showed up and they rang the bell, the same man came out and said "like I told you, you have to wait!" I explained that I wasn't with them and that I just wanted to take a quick look at the dresses and be out of everyone's way. I didn't expect to try anything on. He was really rude and basically kicked me out in front of the other people. He said that I should've known the policy. I did not know that they had such an extreme policy. I have no idea what the dresses are like in the boutique, but I do know that they won't be getting my business. I've been to plenty of other bridal dress stores in the city without an appointment and all the experiences have been very welcoming and professional. This place was harsh, cold and rude. Not going back. Even if that is the policy, you can treat people nicer. read more

WOWOWOWOW I cannot even express how grateful I am to the team at Leanne Marshall Bridal. Even before I arrived for my appointment, I had a great feeling about the consultation because the emails were so warm and friendly. When my MOH and I arrived, Whitney greeted us with huge hugs and smiles and her excitement to see us and work with us was infectious. She made us feel so comfortable, relaxed, and comfortable. Best of all, she helped me find THE dress and helped me figure out how we might be able to sort things out to make the price tag come more in my budget. She also reassured me about how fittings and alterations would work since I live across the US, and measured me before I left so I wouldn't have to come back in case I decided to buy a dress. I left the appointment so happy. No other boutique I've been to came close to being as fun and relaxed an experience. Other perks: I'm a non-traditional bride, and LM's gorgeous hand dyed pieces were perfect for a gal who doesn't want to look like a cake topper. The only drawback is that they don't allow you to take photos, but Whitney took photos on her ipad to help me compare the dresses at the end of the consultation. read more

Okay, I am a recently married NYC resident: I have been to ALOT of bridal salon's in the city. All I can say is, I WISH I had known about Leanne Marshall Bridal when I was looking for a dress! I went there last weekend with a friend and was floored by three things: 1. The Dresses: beautiful unique pieces. These are not your typical 40lb dresses - most of them are light and airy and all have beautiful lines made to wear on real bodies (i.e., not just to look good on supermodels). Many have a vintage feel. My bride found a dress that fit her personality, body, and wedding to a T. She bought it on the spot! I can't wait to see her grooms reaction on the big day! 2.Nathan. He is the salesperson who works with Leanne. He was warm and friendly and made the bride-to-be feel comfortable. He was very knowledgable about each of the dresses and worked with the bride to make her dream dress fit her budget. The prices are reasonable compared to any Bridal Salon that I visited in NYC. 3. Leanne Marshall is literally making the dresses in back half of the show room. I saw her doing it - HOW FREAKING COOL IS THAT?!? She came over while the bride was trying on her dress and said she could add sleeves and showed us.... I would recommend this place to anyone (unless you want a prom-style princess ball gown) and can't wait to share this gem with friends (who seem to be getting engaged like its going out of style). read more

I had such a wonderful experience buying a wedding dress at Leanne Marshall. After visiting many wedding dress stores, I finally came across exactly what I was looking for. Leanne makes beautiful, flowy, classic, and one of a kind dresses. Nathan helped me during the whole dress shopping experience, from trying on to fitting and so on. Nathan is very pleasant and has great energy. This was really epitome of the best shopping experience. On a different note, Nathan helped my sister who is my maid of honor to come and try on a beautiful ball gown for my wedding. I had gone to Lovely Bride to try on dresses and while it's a nice space, they're strict with the 1 hr appt and have a lot of unseasoned associates. I believe the woman who waited on me had been there for a month. So she wasn't helpful about recommending dresses that would flatter me and I felt like my time was wasted. Plus, with 6 or 7 brides all there at the same time, it's hard to feel like you're having a private, relaxed experience. In comparison, Leanne Marshall's studio is nothing like that! They only have one client there at a time so you can receive full attention. They also schedule the next appt with a 30 min buffer knowing full well that many appts go over an hour. Also, and the most important part, Leanne makes all the dresses! You're not buying something and then having a factory over in China produce it. And because she's the one making the dresses, she can customize things for you. I liked the top of one dress and the bottom of another so she combined them into a one of a kind for me! And she made it in blush. It's so beautiful! You can't get an experience like that at Saks, Lovely, Kleinfelds, etc. Like others have mentioned, Nathan is super helpful and a joy to interact with. He's funny, helps you get in and out of the gowns, and will certainly give you his opinion if you want it. And while this is going on, Leanne (who is so sweet and down to earth) is sewing and putting together other people's beautiful gowns. I'm so so so glad I went there to go dress shopping. I feel so lucky to have booked an appointment at Leanne Marshall Bridal. From the moment my mom, cousin, friend and I walked in we were at ease and in awe of the beautiful and private studio, which was the complete opposite of the other boutiques we had visited. The first dress I tried on ending up being the dress I chose, although I loved each of the dresses I tried on. It was amazing how each dress was beautiful, unique, light, and so much more comfortable to wear than dresses I had been trying on elsewhere. It was a testament to what a gifted designer Leanne is. My dress experience only got better when, by happenstance, I was able to meet Leanne and try on my dress with her there! She is so humble and sweet. Even better, the dress fit perfectly and I ended up not needing any alterations, other than the complimentary hem. AH-MAY-ZINGGGGG is all I have to say about my experience with Nathan at Leanne's bridal studio. And yes, I even got to meet her as she was working on some things in the back. I came to the appointment with my maid of honor and 1 of the bridesmaids. Nathan greeted us and immediately fell in love with his personality - you could really tell how much he appreciates the design and quality of the work that goes into these fabulous dresses. Anything goes in this studio meaning you can customize anything and they will work with you on finding your dream dress. He told us the "rules" and we begin picking out a plethora of dresses to try on. Because they only have 1 appointment at a time, you really felt that special treatment come to life. Plus Nathan has a great sense of humor so we were all entertained. It was such super tough decision amongst all the dresses I've tried on both at Leanne Marshall's bridal studio and others, but in the end, I couldn't pass up one gorgeous dress designed by Leanne. It was very light, the fabric was amazing and the comfort level (both standing and sitting, which Nathan kindly pointed out was an import ant factor) couldn't be beat. I was extremely happy in that dress and cannot wait to wear on my wedding day. I HIGHLY recommended coming here vs. Lovely Bride (although I do love that store) as you can see each and every dress plus the luxury of VIP treatment of 1 appointment at a time. The prices are VERY reasonable and the fact that you can customize anything is a big bonus. As for negatives....I really can't think of one! =) read more

I went to Leanne's shop over the summer to see one a specific dress I fell in love with on Etsy. I'd been to all of the cute little bridal salons in the city and I was getting tired of being ushered through the cattle call of brides trying on the same gowns. Leanne's dresses are beautiful, but if you're coming here for any reason it should be for the great experience. When I arrived at Leanne's shop Nathan greeted me at the door and proceeded to excitedly introduce me to all of Leanne's gorgeous gowns. I tried on so many beautiful gowns, each of which is customizable, but I ended up falling in love with a totally unexpected choice that was absolutely perfect! I finally felt like I found the luxurious "bride" experience being the only one in the shop, and Nathan was really thoughtful in taking photos and giving his opinions. At the end, Leanne was there to take my measurements and consult about my selection. This shop's great service hasn't stopped after my appointment. Nathan has been wonderful in communicating over email and getting info to me. I can't wait to see my dress when it comes in! read more

NOTE: I did NOT get my dress here...but I have to say, the experience was absolutely excellent. They're only by appointment, but once you're in, it's like a magical bridal wonderland. As many others have said, Leanne is in the back, working on dresses with a few others. All the dresses are an extremely high quality, and most are 100% silk. Nathan is the go-to guy for brides. His energy and spirit are incredible and infectious! He's also completely helpful and knowledgeable as to which shapes work best with certain body types. Out of all my appointments (and I went to 14!!!) this was one of the most helpful and personal. Skip the big name bridal stores and come here instead. read more

I am posting this for my wife, who has no yelp account. BTW she looked prettyyyy amazing. Leanne Marshall fills a void in the wedding dress industry. I HATED dress shopping. There were so many over the top, glitzy, big dresses, and not enough soft romantic antique comfortable wedding dresses. It became so overwhelming to me so quickly. I actually kept trying on these horrible dresses (just my opinion!) and putting this little lace top over them to make them feel more me. My mom realized this little top was made by Leanne Marshall, so we looked her up and traveled to NY to pay her a visit. SO worth the trip. She and Nathaniel are a perfect team. (Plus she won Project Runway, how cool is that?) Her showroom has 40 dresses I all wanted to try on, instead of 200 at the other places that I had no interest in. Plus they're growing so they probably have even more now! I had a hard time deciding because I loved multiple. She was able to combine the top of one dress and the bottom of another, a custom dress without a custom price. Yes, that's right, her prices are way more reasonable than other places I went. She custom made it to my measurements, and it fit me like a glove. Plus it was comfortable to dance the entire night away. I have never gotten more compliments in my life. I know it's my wedding day and people do that... but I got asked for her store phone number by many soon-to-be brides. So you know they loved it. Recommend a million times over. read more

Fantastic experience from beginning to end. Yes, they are by appointment only, not sure why this comes as a surprise to anyone, and I felt totally welcome and at ease when I got there. Nathan did an ingenious thing and split up the dresses according to the price range I gave him so don't worry about them trying to upsell you (you're obviously free to take a look at the higher priced ones). He made the whole experience incredibly fun and it really is cool to see everyone in the back making dresses. The dresses themselves are gorgeous if you're into a more romantic aesthetic as opposed to a glitzy/blingtron look. High quality materials and all the dresses I tried on were featherlight and incredibly comfortable. Ended up buying, they took my measurements, and it was off to the races. The dress fits like a dream. Only issue was that one of the straps was a bit too long and they were very accommodating in scheduling a time for me to come in a get it tacked down. They weren't contractually obligated to do after-the-fact alterations (and I don't think they would be able to do more complicated alterations looking at the contract), so I thought it was a nice touch. This was the most amazing bridal experience I've had so far. Let's get the logistics out of the way first: yes, you have to make an appointment. Yes, it's a small studio, so getting that appointment will take some time. But that appointment will be 1000% worth it! Nathan welcomed us into the studio, and went out of his way to make sure we were comfortable. We were the only people in the studio, and it was such an intimate, comfortable experience. Nathan is very upfront about the prices of each dress, and there is absolutely NO pressure to purchase. In fact, they recommend that you go home and sleep on the decision. And the dresses - you have to see these in person. They fit so beautifully, and they flow like water. Leanne is truly talented, and I'm so glad she turned to bridal. If you're lucky enough to live near New York and you're getting married, Leanne Marshall would be my first dress recommendation. I guess I should report my conflict of interest: after the best dress shopping session I've had, I'll probably buy my dress from here. If you can't tell, I'm in love! read more

Finding a wedding dress can be a nightmare and, after a semi-traumatizing experience at David's Bridal, I'd completely given up on all things wedding for 4 months. That being said, going to Leanne Marshall is one of the best shopping experiences I've ever had. Nathan was absolutely accommodating, lovely, and completely understanding what my price range was, never veering away. Buying clothes, much less a wedding dress, can bring out some of your biggest insecurities, but if you go to Leanne Marshall you're guaranteed an experience that affirms what is great about you. Something that I really appreciated was the lack of pressure to buy a dress that day, in fact, I love Nathan's policy to not let you buy on your first try because the dress you buy should be the one that haunts you. In the end, I didn't buy the dress I tried on at Leanne Marshall because a dress I'd tried on a few weeks before had haunted me and I would have not been so sure if that was the one if it weren't for Nathan. If you're in the market for a wedding dress, you must go to Leanne Marshall and, hopefully, you'll find the dress that haunts you. read more

I have to echo all of the 5-star reviews of Leanne Marshall Bridal. It was truly the most incredible bridal gown experience I have had! After going to six different bridal boutiques in the St. Louis area and not finding many whimsical yet elegant gowns, I traveled to New York to try on gowns by Leanne Marshall at her showroom and atelier, and it was definitely worth it! I tried on three gowns and absolutely loved each and every one of them! I certainly am not a size 2 or 4 but every gown I tried on of hers made me feel absolutely beautiful and stunning. It was an amazing feeling to know that I was choosing "the one." It was really easy for me to make an appointment with Angela, Leanne's manager, even in the midst of New York Fashion Week! Angela is truly a gem and so incredibly kind and enthusiastic. She welcomed me into the studio, introduced me to the many gowns at the showroom, and had already picked out several of the gowns I had told her I was interested in in my initial email to her. In addition to what she pulled for me, she encouraged me to try on anything I wanted. After trying on just three gowns, I knew that one of those three would be the one I purchased. Angela helped me into each gown and noted details of each dress that made them different from the others, and when I asked for her opinion, she gave it and was incredibly helpful! If you're able to visit the showroom and atelier in New York, I would highly recommend it as you won't be disappointed at all. I have also encouraged retailers where I live to consider selling her gowns. I purchased my gown from Leanne after becoming familiar with her designs online. I was drawn to the designs because of their incredible movement and unique silhouettes, and was really searching for that one-of-a-kind gown that fit my personality. On the dress itself: It was such an honor to wear the dress I selected, which actually was not from the bridal collection, but the Fall 2014 runway collection. I truly felt like the dress I purchased was one-of-a-kind for me; many guests asked if the dress was a custom design. It's hard to describe, but it's the first piece I've owned that has felt like an extension of who I am and how I'd like to portray myself to the world. I believe Leanne has the creativity, talent, and insight to provide that feeling for every bride (as well as anyone looking for a signature evening gown piece). I was wiggling all around the dance floor on my wedding night, and I will literally go running down 5th Avenue with it if I don't get arrested first...can't wait to wear it again. My spirit and energy are automatically lifted when I'm in it. I simply did not expect to find that in a gown. On the shopping experience: Visiting Leanne's studio instead of a bridal boutique that carried her line offered the maximum amount of choices from her collections, which I would strongly recommend if you're hoping to see the incredible range of her selections. The experience is truly singular for brides - one-on-one time in the designer's atelier, made-to-order, at this price point is truly unheard of. Nathan led each of my appointments - beginning with a lunch-break appointment where I tried on a large range of gowns; then a follow-up appointment with my mother (when I selected the dress); a shoe confirmation appointment; and my one and only fitting. His enthusiasm and guidance were heartfelt, genuine, and much appreciated! I just bought my wedding dress there and the experience was completely wonderful. Nathan was so professional and beyond helpful. I felt no pressure and his attention to myself and my family was amazing. I love my dress and her designs are simply gorgeous. I wanted to respond to Lizzie S. comment on this. I was the bride whose appointment you interrupted. My family had traveled to NYC from Boston for that appointment. It clearly says on Leann's website appointment only, which I made a week in advance. It's not a retail bridal shop; it's her actual studio where she was working on a collection while Nathan serviced my appointment. You were rude, and I felt it was inappropriate. I had a dress on and was waiting to come out of the dressing area to show my family while you kept asking Nathan if you could come in. He politely told you over 3 times that it was appointment only and that he was sorry he couldn't help you. Your insisting to "just to look at the dresses" made it very uncomfortable for my family and myself. Your review in no way reflects Leann or anyone who works there. read more

I would have loved to rate the actual dress try-on experience, but unfortunately I couldn't even make it past the horrific person named Nathan who handles scheduling appointments. He took three weeks to respond to my request for an appointment and then told me "good luck with my search" when he finally did respond to advise he did not have availability on the date I had requested nearly a month prior. He then called me to tell me what I did wrong with my request for an appointment, speaking so condescendingly that he left the roomful of girls at my office disgusted (yes, I had to put it on speakerphone because his tone and the words coming out of his month were so unbelievably disturbing, I had to be sure I wasn't imagining it). Not only did Nathan ruin an opportunity for a potential new client of Leanne's, he also ruined the dreams of a bride-to-be who had been waiting for this moment for nearly a decade to try on Leanne's beautiful creations. Leanne: I love your designs, and I am devastated that because of the negativity of your appointment manager, I can not consider wearing your dress on my wedding day. Both Leanne and Nathan are amazing. After 6 studios and 50 dresses I can say with confidence that I never felt more special as I did here. I came twice to Leanne's, the second time with my Mom. Nathan set the tone for the entire appointment and was incredibly knowledgeable and funny. He had our group laughing the whole time! One thing you should realize before visiting is that Leanne's style is very unique and unlike any other designer you will try on. The fabrics she chooses are pretty incredible and shapes are surprisingly flattering - even her more avant garde pieces. As Yelp describes with 5-stars, "Woohoo! As good as it gets!" I really can't describe in a short review how amazing this experience was... I actually had the "Josephine" dress ordered through Etsy, with custom measurements. Nathan was extremely helpful and flexible in our discussions online, when I decided I wanted to pick up the dress the week before the wedding. When we arrived at the studio, my mom, my friend and I, were immediately greeted by the ever-smiling Nathan as if we were the most special guests. I didn't realize that this was a relatively new studio space, because it is so adorable and setup perfectly. Nathan handed me the gown behind a dressing screen... and putting it on for the first time was just amazing. The gown fit as if it had been designed just for me :) I didn't want to take it off. And that was perfectly fine with Nathan and Leanne, who both were so happy to see how much I loved the gown. Leanne is super sweet. It's really cool that she is a well known designer and so down to earth! The gown was incredible in pictures online, and of course even more amazing in person. We set up the appointment, so we were the only ones there. Having this experience one-on-one with both Nathan and Leanne was really really cool. A few months ago, I would have never thought that I would be in a posh NYC studio picking up a Leanne Marshall wedding dress (I was trying to keep things simple for our wedding!!). But looking back, I literally can't imagine anything more fun than falling in love with an Etsy dress, having it hand made exactly to my size, and then picking it up right from the studio. This experience was one of a kind. I feel truly lucky to have found Leanne and Nathan. My mom cried when we left New York because she 'had so much fun.' This review does not even get to the wedding, where every single girl there asked me where I got my dress because they wanted the same one. You better believe I'm sending them all to NYC! Looking forward to sharing wedding pictures, we had the most fun wedding (I even successfully rode a tandem bicycle in the gown) and my husband just kept saying "your dress, it's SO amazing!" This is my first ever Yelp review. I have just picked up my dress at Leanne Marshall Bridal, and felt I had to break the seal in order to rave about my experience there. I was looking for a short dress with sleeves. (It's actually surprising how difficult this is to find! My mother was set on accompanying me to try on wedding dresses in the old-fashioned way, so ordering something on Etsy was out of the question). You can imagine my delight when I discovered that Leanne had opened a studio in the city. My mother flew out from California for our appointment back in January of this year, so the stakes were high, but we were both completely blown away. LM's business manager, Nathan, was incredibly charming and fun, and made me feel completely at home. He was super patient and helpful in addressing all our questions, and best of all, he seemed to genuinely care about helping me find a dress I love. As the other reviews say, Leanne was working in the back, and she came in and out to see how we were doing and offer suggestions. The entire evening was magical. I could not have imagined anything better. This afternoon I got to practically repeat my first experience when I went to pick my dress up. It fits like a dream and looks even better on me than I had expected. And more than that, it is incredibly beautiful--the beadwork is exquisite and the fabric of the slip is stunning. I know that I will treasure my dress forever, and will never forget my experience at Leanne Marshall Bridal. WOW is all I have to say about my experience with Leanne Marshall. As mentioned in the other reviews, Nathan makes the entire process such a delight, putting on a show as he introduces you to each dress by name and explains what she is all about. Leanne was right there in the back of the studio, sewing away and answering any questions as they came up. After having 8, yes 8, total appointments everywhere from Saks and Kleinfeld to Lovely Bride, I just couldn't stop thinking about the Leanne Marshall confections I tried on. She is combining elements from three different dresses into my ultimate dream wedding gown, and I could not be more thrilled to wear Leanne Marshall on my big day! I found Leanne's site on Etsy not knowing what a rockstar she was - at first! I fell in love with the Ellie gown right away. I had been searching for a lace dress with sleeves. I have known for awhile that I was not going to be one of those strapless, long dress brides. When I found the dress, I was hesitant to buy it online, but I also was not going to go one of those bridal shops with my mom and my girlfriends. So I ordered the dress. Nathan was a dream to work with - I'm not sure he sleeps because he would respond ASAP to my emails when I asked some questions about availability and sizing. When the dress arrived it came perfectly folded in tissue. The sleeves of the lace matched!! Fast forward to one week before the wedding... I ended up going to the studio LAST minute before my wedding for an adjustment to my sleeves and was bowled over to meet Leanne in person. Leanne and Nathan dropped everything to work together to fit my dress. What kind people these two are!! Some magic was made that day in that studio. They worked on it for about 15 minutes, and then the dress fit. I was so relieved, I knew that my wedding was going to be perfect because I had the dress I wanted, and it looked so pretty on. I visited Leanne's shop yesterday with my future daughter-in-law and her mom. As soon as we walked in, we could feel a calmness in the air. Nathan made Emily's experience so special and when Leanne herself measured her, it made her experience that more special. Leanne and Nathan saved me from a fate worse than... well, having a non-perfect wedding dress isn't so terrible. But having the perfect dress? Is the best. Thanks to Leanne and Nathan's creative advice and talent, I was able to try on dresses with only 3 months to go, and know that my dream dress would be not only ready in time, but would fit well. I was unable to decide between two dresses, so they basically combined them for me! We had a couple other design requests, which they executed perfectly, and had some ideas of their own to adapt to my somewhat difficult figure. Everything was easy and up-front. Even the hem was a breeze: when I bought my shoes all I had to do was email them the heel height. Because of my difficult figure, they recommended custom sizing for me, where Leanne measured me and then made the gown to my measurements. Yes, it's a little extra money, but it basically took care of alterations right from the start: my finished dress fit perfectly the first time I tried it on. Nathan and Leanne were incredibly kind. I can't wait to send them pictures of the finished look on my wedding day (waiting on the photographers to get them to me!). Nathan was always very responsive by email, and every time I went to the salon/studio, Leanne would take a moment to talk, or even just wave hello. I swear Nathan has a photographic memory...or maybe he just keeps excellent records. I always felt like I was his only customer: he remembered all my details every time. Finally, a word on cost: these dresses are definitely near the low price point of the world of wedding gowns. I think we got one of the priciest options and it came to less than 4K. But the quality is outstanding: real silk skirt, perfect fit, light as a feather, and super strong. My wedding was outdoors and on the sloped part of the lawn I kept stepping on the hem, but the stitches held nice and firm. It would take a lot to have a wardrobe malfunction. The dress also cleaned very well at my local cleaners. Awesome, because I hope sometime down the line a family member will want to wear it again. read more

I purchased my wedding dress through Leanne's shop on Etsy. I was hesitant to purchase a wedding gown without having tried it on, but Nathan was very helpful in answering all my questions and now a few months later my dress arrived in the mail just last week and I LOVE it. After having seen the dress online I kept comparing every dress I saw to it. Now that I have seen the dress in person I love it even more. I have never written a review but this shop is more than worthy of one. Wedding dress shopping is notoriously stressful...but I found just the opposite when I went here. I immediately fell in love with Nathan, his infectious energy, and the way it seemed he understood my style/personality when I walked in the door. He made the appointment so much fun and had us laughing the entire time. The dresses were all stunning and all made me "feel pretty" (as Nathan told me they would) which made it difficult to pick one...but he started the appointment by saying it is the one that gives you the goosebumps that you know is yours...and that statement didn't fail to disappoint. After I said "yes to the dress" leanne came out and measured me herself...it was pretty awesome. Overall, had a perfect wedding dress shopping experience and am pumped that it was my first and only shop. My mom, sister and step mom have been raving about how amazing this experience was...so thank you Nathan and leanne for making it a truly memorable experience. I wish there were more than 5 stars to give, because 5 doesn't seem enough to me! My experience at Leanne's studio was absolutely wonderful, and unlike any other place I have been to. I wanted to be sure to review my experience (I even made a yelp account to do just that!) so other brides could read about how amazing my time there was. Angela, who works at Leanne's, truly made my experience there lovely. From emailing to schedule my appointment, to arriving at the studio and trying on dresses, to purchasing the perfect gown, to picking it up, it was nothing short of fabulous. When arriving at the studio and meeting Angela, she had such a warmth and kindness about her, I felt instantly at ease. She helped me try on dresses and encouraged me (without being pushy) to try on anything that caught my eye. Angela pointed out small details in each dress I tried on and noted how truly unique and special each dress is. The studio is small, yet airy, and with an abundance of natural light. I very much appreciated that I was the only bride in the studio, and valued the time devoted to each bride while she searches for that perfect match (her gown!). Being the only bride in the studio, I was able to relax and take my time looking at each dress, without worrying that someone was waiting to try on the sample I was looking at, or that other eyes were peaking at the dress I was trying on. When I found the perfect dress for me, Angela's excitement and enthusiasm was genuine, and I felt like a million bucks! Angela's gentle approach was never pushy, and her warm hearted nature truly made me feel comfortable in my decision to purchase Leanne's gown. I accompanied my friend to go look at wedding dresses and were very impressed at the collection and professionalism! The studio was small but the dresses were gorgeous and airy. My friend felt like a princess and loved the experience. She found her dress but appreciated that the sales person didn't force her to purchase right away. Before going to Leanne's showroom I had had 4 appointments in other bridal salons (in Spain, France and México), and each time my experience had been so disappointing, I didn't feel special at all and didn't feel like myself in wedding dresses. When I entered Leanne's showroom it was all the opposite as it is not a bridal boutique, it is a private studio where they give you the 100% attention you need. No other person has an appointment at the same time, and that made me feel very special. I didn't have the chance to meet Leanne, however Angela was SO nice and helpful. The first dress I tried on was the dress I ordered (I didn't try any other dress actually as this one was so beautiful and I didn't want to remove it EVER). I actually live in México so during all the process of the dress production I was in touch several times with Angela for some concerns I had, and she was always so reassuring. When I came back to pick up my dress it ended to be even more beautiful than I expected, and it didn't need any major alterations. I have to say that my dress, as well as every other dresses I saw in Leanne's showroom is so delicate and surprisingly light, that make them very confortable, not like some other wedding dresses that feels so heavy. I would definitely recommend you to visit the showroom. I don't think after having an appointment there, you will be willing to have more appointments at other bridal boutiques... From my first phone call to my appointment and after, he is truly great at what he does. The shop is very cool and you can see Leanne in the back working. She is also very sweet and super talented.
