I was helped by a lovely assistant named Danielle, who was incredibly sweet and helped me try on several dresses. She gave me great advice and made me feel very comfortable the whole time. Another woman also came to help during my appointment, and although I don't remember her name, she was really nice and helpful as well. They both took their time helping me choose the right dress and guiding me through the process. A couple of days later, I called Danielle to ask a few questions, and she was just as polite and kind over the phone. Overall, I'm very happy with the experience and highly recommend Bridal Reflections for anyone looking for great service and a friendly atmosphere. This place needs crash course in EQ and how to speak to and treat their brides. I have never been treated with less empathy than I was by certain members of the fitting and management staff. I came here to buy a Kim Kassas gown that was quite literally the catalyst in my decision to plan full scale wedding versus a casual party in New York. I was told I had to order a size up from the dress I tried on. I told them i was planning on losing 20lbs and they made me sign a form that had me acknowledge that I was deviating from recommendation. Fine. I lost the 20lbs by the time I got the call that the dress was in. I asked to come in to just try it on to make sure the alterations were possible and their response "you can come in but no fitter will be assigned to you until 6 weeks before your wedding." Okay... I went in, and as expected, the dress was several inches too big. I expressed concerns about the pleats in the dress not laying correctly due to the fact that it needed to be taken in so much and they are designed to be evenly spaced out. I was assured this would not be an issue. Great. My first fitting - I was assigned the nastiest, most dismissive seamstress. She did not listen to a single one of my concerns. Several times I asked about the pleats and asked that the next time I came in, if the dress could be steamed as the fabric had creased during shipping and I was struggling to see how the dress was laying. She rudely dismissed and snapped at me "yes I will steam it." We also discussed lining the mini skirt and I left feeling unheard and uneasy. My second fitting - my uneasy feelings were merited once the garment bag was opened. The dress had not been steamed. I mentioned that I had requested for that to be taken care of at my last fitting so Jessica (was lovely) took it to help fix it. I was also assigned a new fitter - Juan was kind and patient. As I was about to take the dress off I noticed that the lining had been applied to the bigger skirt versus the inside area of the mini skirt. The previous fitter did not listen to a thing I asked for and my first fitting was essentially a waste of time. My third fitting - once again we were having trouble with the pleating and how the dress was laying. Panic and frustration were starting to set in as I was now leaving in less than two weeks. The manager came in and measured the pleats and made some adjustments to the tulle that helped release some pulling. I had also asked for this to be done in my first appointment. My fourth fitting - the dress was still not 100%. I knew the issue with the pleats was bc the dress I ordered was several sizes too big and were no longer laying where they should be on the body. They called in a 2nd fitter and we worked together to finally get the dress even. I was just about to breathe a sigh of relief when I noticed several snags in the tulle in the very front of my dress. I pointed them out and was assured that they would be taken care. I came back to pick the dress up and they seemed to be even worse. The dress was taken away again only to return with the stand-in manager. I have never been more angry with a person in my life. This woman had the audacity to tell me, "it's tulle. It snags when you wear it." Except I haven't worn this dress. I have tried this dress on a handful of times. The snags happened in the last round of alternations but here was a woman, standing in front of a bride attempting to gaslight me into thinking this was my fault. I could not believe that someone so emotionally unintelligent managed to find a job in one of the most emotionally charged industries. I no longer had the energy or time to spare so I signed the piece of paper and left. I spent 4 months being dismissed by people at this establishment and when it came down to the wire, I was patronized and gaslight too. The dress is wearable but not 100% perfect - I can deal with that. What I cannot move past was the manner in which I was spoken to and treated on serval occasions. it started with a video i had seen on Instagram of a dress I knew I had to try on, I forwarded the video via IG DM to bridal reflections and they were able to locate the designer and style number almost immediately. with only one sample in circulation, they shipped the dress into the store and set me up with an appointment. Francis helped me into the dress as well as some others she and I picked out. My budget was around 6,000 and there was a nice selection I tried on. I had some questions about potential customization which I was able to try out by having one of the managers pin on extra fabric, etc. it was nice because I really got a visualization of what I wanted. I had been to Kleinfeld and I had been to David's Bridal so this was not my first stop, but it's like God saved the best for last. I attended an Eve of Milady trunk show at the 5th Ave location and I cannot say enough good things about my experience here. The staff is genuinely kind and personable. I spoke multiple times with Christina over the phone and she was just as lovely in person as she was over the phone. Sabrina was my consultant and she was spectacular. She is very knowledgeable about the dress designers and the construction of each dress. She really knows all things wedding dresses and it's clear she has a ton of experience in this industry. Her demeanor and temperament were so pleasant and she just has a grace about her. There's nothing worse than having a snobby impatient and rude consultant when you're trying to enjoy the special moment in your life of finding your dream dress so I couldn't be happier with the way Sabrina assisted me. I got to try on my dresses in a private dressing room with a giant mirror. The room was very spacious and had a cute sitting area for my guest. Sabrina pulled all of the dresses I requested to see and even brought me a few that she chose, including dresses from the latest brand new Eve of Milady collection. After trying on several dresses (there wasn't a 5 dress try on limit like at Kleinfeld) I ended up finding my dream dress and veil. When it was time to pay for the dress Sabrina went over the contract with me in detail. She made sure I understood everything about everything including the price break down, shipping/arrival time for the dress, fittings, and alterations. I wasn't super into wearing a white dress but my partner really wanted me to (I don't wear too many dresses) I went by myself to 6 different shops during work days one Monday-Wednesday, and Bridal Reflections was a bit out o my budget, but when I walked in, I knew it was going to be a lovely experience. The whole atmosphere is high end yet also relaxed and the staff is very inviting. I felt taken care of the entire process and also like I had plenty of time to look through dresses myself. 100% glad I went with their in house tailor as well as their cleaning service after. I'm not one to usually write reviews, but when I see an establishment operate as wonderfully as Bridal Reflections, I feel compelled to. From my own wedding, to family members and friends' weddings, I have been nothing but 100 percent satisfied with every level of the experience. From the initial friendly phone call, to the first appointment, to the fittings, pick ups and so on ...everything is always perfection. It's a family run establishment and they make you feel like you are a part of their family and that your wedding is as important as anyone of their family members! My latest experience there was as a step mom of the bride. The bride explained exactly what she envisioned for her dress and BF made it all happen. The staff and bridal consultant at BF went above and beyond and worked diligently to make sure each and every member of the family was involved and included in the discussions about each dress while trying on but knew exactly when THE BRIDE was happy and satisfied and ready to say yes to the dress! I tried on at least 50 dresses (half white vs. half purple or red, because I hope to wear a colored dress) before I came to Bridal Reflections. I shopped at Wedding Atelier (had a nice experience), L'Fay (meh), and also formal evening sections of Saks, Bergdorf, Neiman Marcus, Bloomingdale's, and Macy's. I only found 4 potential options -1 white, 3 colored - that I liked, and none that I fully adored. Then I came to Bridal Reflections, and met Mary Jo Pont. I cannot tell you how helpful, knowledgeable, and full of good cheer Mary Jo is! Between her and Jessica, who booked my appointment over the phone, I have a fantastic impression of Bridal Reflections. They made me feel special (and like a valued customer, not just a walking wallet). 1) Mary Jo listened to what I wanted in terms of style and function - and she didn't even blink when I said I would prefer to be married in a purple gown, though I would be open to white if I fell in love with something. Mary Jo (or MJ, as my friends called her as a teen of endearment because we liked her so much) aimed to find something to fit my mermaidy vision, not just shoehorn me into something traditional. She trusted that I know my body and my style.  2) She never body-shamed me once. I am a street size 10/12 with an unusual/difficult-to-fit large cup/small band bust. And unlike a couple of other salons, she never once asked if I was planning to lose weight -- I SO appreciated that. There was zero body policing. 3) She took time to look photos I had saved and showed me gowns along those lines, but also pulled dresses of her own choice based on her expertise that she knew would flatter my figure, offer bust support (I need substantial internal structure in a dress), and fit the look I was going for.  4) She showed me many options that could be customized in purple. Unfortunately, those dresses were not to my taste, but that not her fault, it is simply a limitation in terms of which designers allow color customization (most don't).  5) She took SO MUCH TIME with me. I think we were working together for 2.5hrs! She never made me feel like I needed to make a decision right away. She never even asked me if I wanted to buy the dress that day. She never pressured me with a hard sell. She truly seemed to want me to find the right dress for next, and to have a great experience.  6) Mary Jo also had a good sense of humor and an equal strong sense of patience, because I came with three friends who are A LOT. I am a comedy geek, and we are a group of journalists, theater people, activists, and generally gregarious, mouthy, non-traditional, funny, baudy feminist babes. Mary Jo just rolled with all our antics. 6) She put me in a few hourglass Galia Levav dresses that felt SO comfortable, with built-in shaprwear-style lining, that would have been amazing to dance in. They were quite lovely, and would be very acceptable options, and everyone would probably think they looked great... but I didn't fall in love with the way I felt in them. I loved the way I was able to move in them, so I was trying to convince myself that I wanted one of them (and Mary Jo pointed that out to me when I was torn). I asked to try on an ethereal Mark Zunino white mermaid dress with a pink lining that I fell in love with on a mannequin, and it looked AMAZING on me. I fell in love with the dress, especially when she said the pink lining maybe able to be replaced with dark purple.  But, rookie mistake on my part: I didn't ask how much it was before I tried it on. So, *of course* it turned out to be was a bit over my budget. Mary Jo understood why I have to think about it before going over budget. She also asked if I had any other appointments coming up, and I told her I had one more appointment - the requisite Kleinfeld visit - scheduled with my maid of honor and a couple of other friends at the end of the month. But I also told her that I plan to come back to Bridal Reflections with my fiance and my maid of honor to try this dress on again, and to see any purple swatches she may be able to get in from the designer.  7) The next day, Mary Jo called me to follow up, thank me for coming in, tell me she was going to try to see if there were any more dresses she could pull in from the other two Bridal Reflections branches for me to try that would be under my budget, and that she had told the designer's team that we want a purple lining. She also said she had fun with me and my friends, and that we were entertaining. That made me feel great, because we are big personalities that don't necessarily fit into "high society" types of scenarios.  I hope we end up buying my dress from Bridal Reflections and Mary Jo. I liked her so much and I loved the dress. I am just worried about the pricetag, which is the only thing holding me back (assuming the purple is possible).  I will keep you posted when I make my decision, Yelpers! read more

I bought my wedding dress here in February 2017 and the whole experience was excellent! First of all they are the only place that has Galia Lahav dresses (and she's incredible). I got my dress during one of her trunk shoes at this location and not only did I get to meet Galia herself, she also custom made my dress. Wedding dress dreams come true! Other than finding my perfect dress here- the whole staff is wonderful. Mary Jo my wedding dress consultant was spot on with her choices and incredibly kind. Georgina at the front desk is a sweetheart and knows everyone by name! And last but certainly not least - Vera and Tamara did my alterations and bustle and they were fantastic. I know exactly what I want and how to execute it but knew wedding dress shopping was going to be my kryptonite. I had appointments booked with the NYC staple but walked into Bridal Reflections for the Galia Lahav trunk show in February going "what the heck"! I walked into the salon with my bridal party 15 minutes late and already felt bad for whomever was assigned to this motley crew!!! We were assigned Leandra and having a chat in the changing room of what I was looking for she simply said "Girl I've got you"! She brought in 1 dress which I tried and loved! It's a Galia it's hard not to love but she said "just hold on another bride has on YOUR dress"! So I did the typical bride thing - took pictures, did a little boogie to make sure I can move in the dress, had the details critiqued by the motley crew until Leandra came back with The Dress! Now I'm not an emotional person. I'm not even a romantic. I leave that to the hubby. But when I tell you there were No Words from anyone when I walked out...No words. I took a look in the mirror my stomach lurched and for the first time I felt like a bride!!! Leandra didn't just stopped there. She came with a tiara and a veil and the peanut gallery behind me were in tears!!! So I did in fact say yes to the dress; to the veil customized 2 feet longer and more appliqués and to the crystal tiara!! Fast forward to my second measurement for this couture gown...Leandra heard my vision for a Welcome Party dress and a second dress change. This choice is a little more difficult than my main dress only because SHE is just that good!!! Do I go all Galia including a pant suit? Do I go with the Mark Zunnino that accentuate all the curves? What I know is I will be making all 3 outfit changes with Leandra because this girl knows what she's doing!!! If you're looking for THE Bridal experience go with Bridal Reflections. I got my wedding dress from bridal reflections and had a great experience. My dress fit me like a glove! I felt very comfortable and was able to dance in it for hours. The tailor was very patient and offered his expertise opinion throughout the entire process... I even ended up wearing my hair the way he suggested. (Lol) I also purchased my veil very late (which was my fault) and they rushed shipped it and I had it on time without stress for my wedding day. Apparently some people spend an entire year trying to find 'the dress'. Granted, I was not the typical bride and my focus was not just on the dress however it does take time. I went to three or four high end places and was not really impressed with the selection or the service. My wedding was four months away and I knew that I needed to find something fast or I would have to get something 'off the rack'. There are no words to express how grateful I am for Bridal Reflections. Once we found a dress that I liked, the manager actually called the designer (Eve) to ensure that the dress could be delivered in time. The service I received was fantastic, management truly went above and beyond to ensure that I was satisfied. The whole idea of trying on dresses, standing in front of a mirror surrounded by 8 other brides made me anxious and uncomfortable. Some people live for this moment but it was not my thing. Bridal Reflections could see this and put me in my own large room for each fitting, away from the madness so that it was just me, my mom and best friend. It was perfect and very special for us. I truly appreciate the alterations process and the fittings being incorporated into a base cost. You hear horror stories of brides spending thousands for additional alterations and salons just trying to take advantage. The seamstresses are phenomenal and went above and beyond to make everything perfect. I can't say enough about how great they were. I had a destination wedding and when I left the store with my dress, they had it perfectly packaged, ready for travel. When the wedding was over, I sent the dress back to the store via FedEx and Bridal Reflections took care of the preservation process (additional but very reasonable cost) and mailed it back to me once everything was complete. From start to finish everything was perfect and a wonderful experience. I'll be forever grateful. read more

I knew I had to come here especially because I was dying to see their selection of Galia Lahav dresses! As soon as you walk in, you see their beautiful marble floors and just gorgeous gowns everywhere! It feels so elegant and grand. Everyone that was working that day made my experience wonderful especially my consultant Frances and the store manager Cristina! I even met Vera, their head seamstress, and she was the sweetest. If you're not a fan of sales pressure, don't go here! The woman that helped us had worked there for many years. She was nice & helpful throughout most of the process. I tried a dress that I liked but was def not in love with or ready to buy. When we got back to dressing room she kept asking me for my info to make a payment to hold dress even tho I kept saying no. She wasn't helping me out of the dress, kept pushing about how I had to buy that day because there wasn't much time before my wedding(5 months, plenty of time.) She finally helped me out of dress & said talk with your family, I'll be right outside. I had to send my sister out to tell her no as she just kept pushing. She wasn't even taking no from my sis! I understand she spent time with us & either works on commission or there's pressure to sell in some other way but it just came off as pushy & desperate from a "classy" dress shop, this just wasn't ok. read more

The salon is beautiful, I highly recommend - it was intimate and calming. I had the absolute pleasure of working with Vasiliki as my bridal consultant. Vasiliki was absolutely incredible!! I went in looking for a Galia Lahav gown and she pulled absolutely beautiful gowns - she knew exactly what would look beautiful on me and understood my vision ! Vasiliki was professional, warm and talented. Vera's work on my alterations was nothing short of miraculous. She is spectacularly and effortlessly talented. I received comments such as "it looks like the dress was painted on you!" I felt so grateful to of met Vera, she is not only the best at what she does but so kind and personable. After doing some research on salons, I decided I didn't want to miss an appointment at Bridal Reflections. I shifted some of my other appointments around, disrupting the flow of the day, and decided I would make it work. A week before the appointment I grew nervous about the selection of dresses. I knew I wouldn't be able to try on the sample size dresses many salons have. So I called Bridal Reflections to ask. I gave them my street size (bridal sizes are much smaller) and they assured me it would be no problem--that they had worked with brides with larger street sizes than mine. I was relieved and kept the appointment. I showed up with my three bridesmaids and my mom in tow. I filled out a lengthy application and sat to wait for my consultant. When she arrived she settled my family and took me to go "shopping". I pointed out some dresses I liked. She pulled one and I said, oh I won't be able to fit into that right? She shook her head sadly. Growing alarmed I said, will I be able to try on any dresses here? She shook her head sadly again. The said I could hold them up to see what it looked like. I politely told her no, I had to try them on, and collected my friends and family and left. Listen, it's the salon's right to carry whatever size samples they want, but, I wish they had explained that to me on the phone, or at the very least told me the moment I came in, instead of wasting my time and embarrassing me. Bottom line is, if you aren't a street size six, don't bother here. read more
