The fitting "area" didn't have a mirror so note it's more challenging to closely inspect the dress on your own. Definitely overpriced for very limited selection, which lacked variety. Was surprised that samples were often only priced maybe $500 off the "original price" (questionable if the listed original prices were even accurate, seems inflated, so hardly any cost savings). Many of the dresses were barely more than 20% off, most lower. They do have a small selection (1 rack) of plus sized dresses, although I didn't look through them but something to consider if you fall into that size range. Most of the dress sizes in bridal sizes 8-12, which had several racks. Hastily purchased a gown that I do regret. Note their policy of final sale, no exchanges. They do not take walk ins, but I called day of and received a same day appointment. I guess if you're desperate for a last minute dress with not many options, this places fills a role as you may find something to settle on. Apparently they have independent tailors they work with in store who they claim can quickly do last minute alterations as well but I cannot speak to the quality of said work and I see reviews questioning the quality. I also noticed they handle sales tax in an unusual way, which others may want to be aware of. Wouldn't say this is worth including in your journey to finding a gown in NYC unless you've run out of options.

The cups that were sewn in were two sizes too small, causing my bust to bulge out of the dress. The underwire cut into my chest, pushing one breast to the right and the other upward. With every fitting, the situation got worse rather than better -- leaving me in tears with my wedding only a week away. I ultimately had to take the dress to another seamstress just to salvage it. To make matters worse, after three fittings, they had not even completed a hem. Wedding Atelier charged $1,300 for alterations -- payment required at the time of purchase -- and refused to refund a single dollar despite the damage they caused. The owner, Carrie, was completely unsympathetic and unwilling to take any accountability for what happened. She is unethical,. If you want to protect yourself from unnecessary heartache and stress in the lead-up to your wedding day, I strongly urge you to take your business elsewhere.

After taking a quick look at me, he immediately pulled the Isabella dress, and said I had to try it on. Though I had sworn off strapless dresses, his confidence and conviction made me excited to give the dress a try. It was the first dress I tried on there, and when I looked in the mirror I could barely believe my eyes. I had never felt more beautiful. I felt like a classic Hollywood actress who belonged on the red carpet. I tried on more dresses. Though each of them impressed me, none cast the same spell as Isabella. Every girl deserves to have her moment- when the entire world stops and all eyes are on her. Nathan gives you that moment. He makes you feel like the star you truly are. And the prices are absolutely fair! I initially worked with Angela, who was friendly, knowledgeable and enthusiastic from the get go. I loved so many of the dresses that it was hard to decide which one to purchase. She was flexible in allowing me to come back in for a second appointment to try on my favorites once more before choosing THE ONE. The showroom is small so you will be the only client there, which makes the experience relaxed and personal. At no point did I feel pressured to buy. After making the final decision, Angela was professional in helping me understand the contract and taking my measurements. My emails were always answered quickly and all communication was easy and pleasant. Shockingly, the dress was finished a week earlier than expected and took only 4 months total! I picked it up today and it is just the most beautiful piece of work. Whitney was very helpful and attentive in completing the sale. "Yes, we pay humans who live and eat and pay rent in the United States, which is very different from the people who made your dress so it is usual that for dresses under $1000 alterations cost more than the dress. Good luck with your hunt." They don't know where I got my dress from, and I'm also someone living in NYC and doing my best. I think people are allowed to charge what they want or think their skill is worth, but I also think the wedding industry has lost their minds. I found an independent professional who did a beautiful job and charged a fair price. I have other dresses to be adjusted until my big day, and had considered saving them if I needed help for my main dress which will be more expensive, but based on this rude and entitled response, I already know to never go back to this business again.

Communication throughout the process was also great. I enjoyed that they have you try on a slip and take your measurements before bringing you dresses. This ensures they are closer to your actual size to give you a more realistic and accurate look of what the dress would look like on you. This is the only bridal salon who did this, which I really apprecaited it. The dress selection is more limited compared to some other bridal salons since they carry their own line, but the dresses they do have are beautiful and very true to the Grace Loves Lace style. I appreciated the follow-up communication with my measurements and favorite style/accessories. I ultimately went with a different dress, but I had a really lovely experience and appreciated how kind and helpful Alli was. I had been to places before but never alone as I wanted to focus on what I actually liked and Alli, along with the other women working, were extremely supportive! Highly recommend!

The sales associate NEVER informed me that if I purchased the dress in the store that it's not returnable, she even said to me "I can return this dress if you change your mind". After receiving the dress, it was ordered in the wrong size and is way too big and will be a difficult dress to alter because of the beadwork. I contacted Lara about returning the dress, they informed me about the return policy and have cut off all communication with me, they won't even answer my calls! I am stuck with a $1000.00 dress that is way too big and feel that what was a great experience is now tarnished and I will never go back or even buy this brand again!
