I always try to be available to a friend in need and I also like visiting places that I've never been to before. Having never been in this location I felt that I should check it out. The location of this particular Marshalls was a movie theater many, many years ago. After poking a couple of friends about the theater name I was reminded that it was The Oriental. Now the store is sizable based on the observation but also very, very chaotic. On one side I saw racks and racks of shoes while on the other was what felt like a mile of shirts, pants and other related clothing. It felt like you would need a bit of time to actually find something you were looking for and when I asked a staff about possible band or comic book shirts they simply pointed to the section instead of telling me where they might be. I didn't have the time to do an archeological dig. Towards the back were assorted chochkies for decoration and even pots, pans and the like. Segmented sections for sure but very unkempt and difficult to find anything unless you took some time. When the time came to make the purchases, I was shocked to see just how long the line was to exit. They essentially line you into a row with shelves on either side to spark those last minute impulse purchases. The people in front of us had two small children with them who were trying to get their parents to buy every single thing that they passed by. It was amusing for sure but they didn't convince their folks of the need for these things. I don't like posting less than flattering Yelps but this place does need to get itself in order a little more. I'm not from this section of Brooklyn so I don't even know if I will get back there but if you are a resident you might want to make suggests that they make it a worthwhile shopping experience as otherwise people are just going to go to Amazon.

If yes, I always double and triple check because customers could be disrespectful - not only do they open the product but they use it directly on their skin or face or wherever the product states it should go (please double check all lip products cause I kid you not, some people use them) Do I think they could do better quality control over situations like that? Absolutely, but I don't fault them. Some customers are unkind :/ Anyways, go after a restocked weekday and sometimes you'll see some nice things! Their most recent is the glow recipe dew drops & they usually have an assortment of philosophy body wash if that's your thing!

The fitting room needs a makeover, doors are unhinged and feel outdated. The store removed the price scanner machines, so now you would have to rely on the app and scan the code from your phone. Floor staff are resourceful able to help find products quicker. The cashier lines moves pretty fast and efficient too. Overall, a good shopping experience

It looked like they were just opening up because of the boxes inside. We stepped inside this evening and saw that they had many tables with different items like tee shirts, LED lights, ice cream scoopers, bowls, plates, small furniture, backpacks, etc for low prices. We bought 2 for $10 tee shirts. They have unique and cute cat graphics on them. They some interesting items for sale and decibel worth a second look. We may stop by again in the near future.

They like to joke around a lot with all the work they have to do they need to be a little jovial. The staff is helpful but the issue with the English is very difficult for them to understand so be patient and you'll notice the beautiful and compassionate personalities these folks guys have. I go there pretty much every week to see what new stuff they have at a real great discount. Like who knows you can get an endoscopy for industry for a little as $9. You can go look behind walls and everything to see if you find any dead mice hanging around or anything else. I'm recently been disabled by a hate crime and I'm walking with a cane with lots of pain. These two guys are so compassionate enough that walk me to the bus stop knowing many times I'm walking around unstable on the street and in the store. These guys could easily be your friends they're very helpful but you got to be patient with the English but they're beautiful folks. You'll be sure to get a lot of nice deals just good luck and happy shopping there. And again bless these folks and their families will raise them. Anna is nothing short of amazing! I bought my wedding dress off the rack at a bridal store and it…read morewasn't quite my size horizontally and vertically haha. Anna was able to modify the dress to make it look as if it was ordered specifically for my measurements. You couldn't tell any work had been done it. The dress was very intricate in detail with lots and lots of lace. Anna was able to adjust everything needed on the dress so that it was in its place proportional to where it should be on me. During my last fittings, I noticed that I couldn't get my arm high enough for my first dance (this is an off the shoulder dress and those are inherently limited in arm movement because of where the fabric goes around the arm), not only did she alter it to add a bit more fabric that completely matched the dress and allowed me the needed extra movement, Anna did this all in less than 24 hours as I needed the dress by the next day to take back with my to CA where my wedding was. In addition to this, I had brought new shoes to my last fitting, and of course they were a different height than the previous shoes I had used during my fittings. Was this a problem for Anna? Nope! She was able to shorten the dress as well for the next morning. Anna is not only a great seamstress/alterations expert, but also such a pleasure to have done business with! She truly cares about her clients and strives to provide excellent service with every interaction. She also did alterations for my mother's mother of the bride dress. This was a heavily beaded dress which needed to be let out and shortened. The work on this dress was more than my wedding dress I think. You could not tell any work had been done it. Anna even added some sleeves as we needed something to cover my mom's arms for the ceremony. I highly recommend Anna for any alteration work needed. The business establishment is very professional with large mirrors and couches, not a little closet with a small thin mirror. You will truly feel like you are in expert hands, because you are!
