They pay the owner of the clothes a ridiculously low fraction of what they are worth. Hardly worth the trouble of bringing it in and jumping through all the hoops. Better to give your items to charity than to sell them through this store. They give consignment stores a bad name. read more

The set-up is designed to capitalize on your items.. they will take your item and claim to put it through an assessment process for weeks, then place it on sale on their site for nowhere near the value of the item. Then they will place a discount on the already low cost, claiming that if it doesn't sell in 48hr. It's 10% off. Which allows them to claim it finally sold for a fraction of the cost of its worth. Then the have ownership to sell it in one of their locations for an astronomical price! The RealReal isn't keeping things Real! read more

This is the real attitude of the real customer service team! I am your VIP customer. All the packages I sent to you have been updated immediately upon delivery. This package was signed for on March 21st and is still in the "enroute" status now. How could you just throw a package into the warehouse and not even bother to scan it for over a month? This is the attitude you have towards handling customer packages! Then, since March 21st, I have been urging and following up on this matter, hoping that you would scan and verify the contents of the package as soon as possible. But you kept making me wait. This is something that has never happened before. Later, I found out that the package was not scanned at all, but you told me that there were only three pieces of clothing left. I clearly sent out six pieces! I asked you to provide a complete video of unpacking and a video of the warehouse, but you didn't provide them! The attitude of your customer service team is that the package was lost or stolen, but the real real doesn't admit it. They directly pass the problem on to the consumers and refuse to compensate! This is the attitude of your rogue company? And you still want me to contact you? You should contact me! This is fraud! read more

I brought it a pair of earrings to consign. I was told it will be sent to their authentication warehouse. All fine but that was on 7/4/21. Today, 9/3/21 I still see on my account that it's in "Received" status. I contacted their customer service and the account manager I've been assigned to. Both ignoring my emails. The above issue had me thinking about the store itself. There's a gentleman in glasses that helps take in consignments that I think is very lovely. He is polite and helpful. I ventured here with a friend, who is big on Consignment/Second Hand shops. When we initially walked in, I was puzzled because all I saw was women's items, but in a small sector in the back, they had two racks for men. I noticed quickly that many of the items despite being used, where at the retail price, which I found writes. I'm very apprehensive about second hand items and prefer not to have clothing that other people wore. However, I was open to the idea of browsing and potentially finding a good deal. I only saw one shirt that potentially caught my eye, but overall this place was underwhelming for me. Now, I would say it's a much better place for women because they have a much larger supply and many hand bangs, etc.. I would possibly give this place a second try in the future-- maybe I would have better results. read more
