Very small shoppe but has lots of gems! I fell in love with some fabric pattern pants on the manikin outside and the owner took them off for me and let me try them on. $40 was exactly the price I was expecting. Love my pants and will go back and check out what new stuff they have soon! read more

Run, don't walk to installation Brooklyn. I visit NYC from California often. And on this particular trip, I really wanted to check out some local vintage, consignment and thrift shops. I saw that this was close to where I was staying, so I went to check it out. An hour later, I'm in the giddiest mood because of ALL the incredible pieces this store has. Gorgeous Linen blazers, creamy worn in leather, colorful knits, and so much more. I'm absolutely going to stop in for one more visit before I head back to San Francisco. I was in the neighborhood and thought I'd check out this shop to see if they had anything I'd like. It's a tiny but it's full of a bunch of interesting items. I picked up some beautiful earrings, a ring, and a natural hand sanitizer that smells amazing. The girl working there was also very helpful and friendly. Wow! Today was my first time visiting this gem, and i couldn't be happier! It can be tough sometimes going thrifting in NY and Brooklyn discovering these fake thrifts that are SUPER overpriced and just mediocre. However, Installation had so much to offer! So many unique pieces of clothing, swimwear, handbags, shoes, jewelry and more for great prices! Saw an AllSaints dress, & Alexander Wang shoes for $44. Excuse me?? Incredible. To top it off it's located in the Unicorn of Bk, Bedstuy. I can't wait to see more new arrivals! read more

Visited this shop for the first time a few weeks ago. Not too sure if I will go out of my way to return. I dislike when I'm being "sold" by reps rather than casually browsing. What turned me off the most about this place was that I sent an inquiry e-mail to the business after my purchase and never got a response back. Customer service is big for me. Also, there were earrings that I spotted that were on sale for $15 and were on sale for $5 at street fair outside of BAM. :-/ Other than that I was satisfied with what I purchased, however felt I overpaid for what is was worth. read more

I was so surprised to see this shop wasn't already on Yelp. This is a carefully curated vintage clothing and gift shop. The woman who runs it is always getting new items in and is always super friendly. The prices seem a tad high to me but there are some real gems there. I recently picked up a silk dress from the 80's that was perfect for a wedding I went to. I also got some cool mid-century bookends for a friend's birthday. I agree w/ the 1st reviewer. I was sure there would be more reviews here on Yelp, so I'll add to what's sure to come. Margot(the owner) is great! Not only is her store carefully curated, she also does a great job of keeping her audience up to date on what's new in the shop via Instagram. Just seeing her new postings hipped me to buying (or wanting to buy) more of her goods. Its a tight space, but they makes up for it in charm and a well thought out spread. Needless to say their always my first choice for when I want to shop for the house or the wadrobe w/o breaking the bank. read more

Whenever I'm home in the city I run over to Installation BK to see what unique finds I can add to my collection. The shop expanded and the staff, especially the owner Margot, are really helpful. I just never know what I'm going to find bc there are so vintage clothing and accessory treasures! When I was there during AfroPunk all the gorgeous people who came into town from Toronto were getting their outfits there. This isn't fast fashion. They have pieces that I'll keep for a long time. read more

Fantastic store! The owner Margot is super helpful and has a great fashion sense. Every time I am in Brooklyn I stop in. I have bought several amazing pieces that are totally unique and I have received a bunch of compliments on. In particular I bought an amazing black leather Chanel type blouse that I absolutely love for $25! My only qualm is that there could be better softer lighting in the store. That being said, it is a minor thing given all of the fabulous eclectic clothes in the shop. read more
