    Wings w/ Sauce (4pc)
    Katrina C.

Came across this restaurant a couple weeks ago. I was craving Korean fried chicken. Their chicken wings are good but could've used a little more salt. They were kind to throw in an extra wing for free, which was a great surprise. Their fries definitely could've used more salt too. It's unfortunate because they had potential. I had to add ketchup, which is something I do rarely. I only use ketchup when the fries aren't up to par.

I saw this place as I was driving by and decided to give it a try. I am so glad that I did! There's a lot of Korean fried chicken places nearby but this has been my favorite so far. Since it was my first time I took my time and staff was very helpful as I was choosing my option. Usually chicken places are more bread than chicken, but this was the perfect ratio. I will definitely be back!

Chicken tenders (Honey Garlic and Sweet Spicy)

When I found out that this place replaced my BBQ gem that was Smokey Teriyaki, I was pretty bummed. But I wouldn't hold it against them and gave them a shot. This is definitely a great KFC (Korean fried chicken) spot. I got the 15 piece chicken tenders with the Honey garlic and sweet spicy flavors. The honey garlic combined the nice sweetness of the honey with the savory-ness of the garlic and chicken. It was delicious. The sweet spicy was also so good because the spiciness mixed with the sweet and savory chicken just made it irresistible. It seems the key to delicious food is mixing up the taste palette. Definite something to try especially if you want some variety in your fried poultry!

Such a pleasant surprise! For $20 you can get a generous portion of fries and half a chicken tossed in sauce with a pop, side of pickled radish and even soft serve icecream!? Not only is this a great deal, it was DELICIOUS. Such a great find, service was friendly and attentive, food came out quick and hot. The batter of the chicken is evenly coated and not too heavy. We opted for soy garlic this visit and really couldn't get enough of it! The pool of sauce on the bottom was just bonus sauce for our fries! The portion of radish to chicken was a bit small, so I'd recommend asking for additional. (Not sure if it's an extra charge?) We ended up taking the chicken to go, so I didn't get to try the soft serve but with this being a take out order and it still being this good- I'll definitely be back to try the other flavors!

Amazing food and the ice cream machine is the perfect touch. Imagine while you wait you get to cool down with soft serve ice cream, perfect idea! Thank you

Nice touch with the positive sticker!

Chicken is tender inside, crunchy outside, but not greasy at all. Quick service. Clean little place inside a strip mall. Will be back for sure

A while back, my husband and I took Katella Avenue on both our trips to and from Disneyland, mainly to explore interesting restaurants along the way. Few months ago, we stumbled upon a fried chicken spot with a quirky name. After checking out the reviews (which were excellent), we decided to give it a try. The owner of this fried chicken place seems to be run by Korean, and the vibe reminded me of those small neighborhood chicken places in Seoul. We ordered half a chicken (5 pieces) for $14.99, which came with a small side of pickled radish. Although the wait was a bit long, the chicken was fried so well--super crispy and flavorful. We chose the Extra Sweet Spicy sauce, which the staff recommended. It was absolutely delicious and not spicy at all! Surprisingly, they also serve fried rice (with bits of sausage!), and the price is incredibly reasonable. A small portion, which even comes with a side of teriyaki sauce, costs just $5.99. Honestly, that kind of pricing is hard to find in Southern California! They also sell frozen fried chicken (perfect for reheating in an air fryer at home) and Jayone frozen kimbap for $3.99 each, the same price as local Korean supermarkets. If you dine in, there's free soft-serve ice cream (you can refill it yourself, though the container is one of those small sauce cups). They also have a water dispenser for self-service and provide wet wipes, which is always a nice touch. The only downside? No restroom! Overall, we really enjoyed the food and will definitely return for their fried chicken. Crunchicken 11513 Knott Ave, Cypress, CA 90630

    4pc chicken tender combo!
    Ian C.

I was really craving some chicken today and saw this place wasn't really too far from my work so I decided to check this place out. Located in a strip mall there is plenty of parking around so no hassle there. The restaurant and seating area itself is pretty spacious. I walked up and was debating between a chicken bowl and the tenders and opted to get the 4pc chicken tender combo that came with fries and a drink. Altogether it was around $15. Lady that took the order was nice and food took about 5-10 mins. I decided to get the sauce on the side which was the honey garlic sauce. Opening the box I was surprised that there was more than 4 pieces and was pretty happy about that! The pieces looked absolutely crunchy and the fries looked great but how did it taste?... I am happy to report that this is some pretty damn good chicken! Crunchy to the bite and once dipped in the honey garlic sauce, it was savory and delicious. The fries were crunchy as well and tasted really good! For the price I paid I have to admit with the amount of food received it's almost a steal (even with the hyperinflation... lol) the tenders were delicious and would definitely order again! It looked like this place is family owned so I can't recommend it more if you need a chicken fix! Definitely get it here!!

Found this little gym when I was on my way from a store. I love Korean fried chicken so when I found out that this place is only 10 minutes away. I just placed an order for pick up and never regretted that decision. Parking is plenty in their plaza, and they were able to accommodate fresh food just in time with my eta arrival. Would love to come back next time!

CrunChicken has the crunchiest chicken! They have a variety of sauces. My favorite is the honey soy garlic. I usually get the 4 piece tenders or wings, and have never been able to finish it. The price point is fairly cheap considering the amount of food and quality. The food came out quickly, and best of all, they give you complimentary soft serve ice cream while you wait! The staff are very friendly, and the music is nice also. Not loud, cozy feeling.

A chicken lovers gem This place is located in the corner of a little shopping center, you may overlook it when you're passing by. But you shouldn't. Their chicken tasted amazing. Perfectly crusted, juicy and full of flavor. They had reasonable prices and their portion size fit with a charge. Looks like a small little mom and pop shop, but don't let that dissuade you from their awesome flavors. The one thing that I did like about them, is that they do sell wings to go. So if you want to look like, just buy some of their wings, fry them up and serve them and let your company be amazed. If I'm in the area, I will definitely revisit this place. Not to mention they give you a free ice cream when you come in. What more do you want?

We got the 8pc fried Pepper Soy wings and the Large Dubboki with cheese. The wings are always so good here. They're humongous, crispy, and sauced to perfection. The Pepper Soy flavor was so yummy and umami.   The trick is to get the dubboki so that you can dip the chicken in the sauce. The rice cakes are soft, and the sauce is sweet and spicy. The table also gets sat with a free side salad and pickled radishes, which is a great way to cut the richness of everything. A bite of chicken, a sip of beer, some rice cakes, and a bite of cold radishes really makes the night. Come out to Koko's for a drink, some eats, and a good casual time.

This used to be one of my favorite spots, so it honestly makes me sad to write this…read more They've made a few changes to the menu and pricing. The dukbokki can only have ramen when it's a large. On top of that, cheese is now $4 extra and ramen is $3, which feels a bit steep for add-ons. They also changed the salad sauce--it used to be more on the sweeter side, but now it leans spicier (around a 3/10 spice level, still good), which may or may not be your preference. The biggest issue, though, was the food safety concern. Our order included 8 pieces of fried chicken (4 drumsticks and 4 wings). The drumsticks were fully cooked and fine. However, the first wing piece I bit into was clearly undercooked. Because of that, we did not continue eating the remaining wings--the other three were set aside and later on, discarded into the small trash bin they keep at the table. When I brought it to the staff's attention, they told me the redness was from bone marrow due to a broken bone and that the chicken was fully cooked. However, the bone only broke because I bit into it, and the meat itself was visibly pink. Not just near the bone where bone marrow would be. The actual MEAT was red and pink all throughout. This was not just "marrow." Even zooming into the picture, you can see the meat on both the plate and in my hand was still red and pink. Additionally, the remaining wings were only visually checked by the waiter and were not opened or inspected internally, which would not confirm whether they were fully cooked. This is concerning, as a visual check alone doesn't accurately assess doneness. It also concerns me that, despite not being present, the owner claims his servers point of view as factual, including the claim that all the wings were eaten, which is not accurate. We did not consume the remaining wings after the first one I bit into. Unfortunately, there was no apology from my perspective, simply an "explanation" stating it was bone marrow. And the situation wasn't handled with much concern. I ended up feeling sick and had to go to the bathroom to throw up, which completely ruined the rest of the experience. Overall, I'm really disappointed. Between the price changes, the food safety issue, and the owner's response focusing more on defending the situation rather than acknowledging the concern, I don't feel comfortable coming back.

The honey garlic chicken was also pretty good, but it's not really special since many other chicken restaurants also have it and they taste pretty much the same to me. What I do like is that they didn't use too much batter, so it's crunchy without feeling creasy/oily. The corn cheese has some sweet potato pieces in it, my mom personally likes that. I find the corn cheese to have a little too much cheese, as the cheese was overpowering the corn. Same for the pizza, the cheese was overpowering all of the other ingredients. I honestly was expecting the pizza to be Korean styled, but it's basically American pizza with the meats replaced by bulgogi and sweet potatoes, so that was kinda disappointing. Overall, my family had a good time there, and we really enjoyed the chickens. I'd come back for the snow onion chicken!

Not everything was perfect--the initial greeting could've been a bit warmer--but honestly, that's the only thing I can even point out. The food more than made up for it. From the side dishes to the mains, everything just hit. The squid bulgogi had great flavor and a nice kick, the donkatsu was crispy and satisfying, and the soy sauce crab was honestly one of my favorites of the night. The tofu dishes (stew and braised tofu) were also really comforting and done right. I also got a chance to chat briefly with the owner, who's also the main cook. Super genuine, you can tell she really cares about the food and what she's putting out. I already told my friends--we're coming back. There's still a bunch on the menu I want to try, and this might end up being one of my go-to spots in Buena Park. Really solid dinner overall. Looking forward to the next visit.

My friend and I stumbled upon this place cause we were craving some Korean food. There was no wait…read moreon a Saturday afternoon and we sat quickly. The ordering system was super easy to use on a tablet. The portions at this place are hefty and I would say is considered hearty and healthy. I got the ssambab + squid bulgogi. It included a big plate of veggies, pot rice, and a soup! Of course, you can't forgot about the banchan. It was a lot of food and I had bulgogi and veggie leftovers at the end of the meal. The only downside of this place was that the restrooms were outside, but no code needs to be entered to use. It was also pretty clean in there too. Overall, nothing really bad about this place. I'll be back to try out their other food!
