    Margherita pizza

Recently, we checked this spot out for a late lunch. It's a cozy spot with comfortable vibe. Service was attentive and we got our appetizer (kale Caesar salad) pretty quickly. The salad was delicious. I tried the frittata ($17) on the brunch menu - it was a nice portion and was a decent frittata. The margarita pizza ($17) was a Neapolitan-ish pizza with great flavor. We tried some of the desserts including Zeppo's, chocolate cake, a special apple torte. All were delicious! They also were kind enough to deal with two very wild kids who were running around. All in all - highly recommend!

Stopped by here with family before heading to a movie at Nitehawk Prospect Park -- highly recommend! I was able to secure a reservation day-of on a Saturday, and the experience there was fantastic. I had a lovely whiskey sour to go along with a Margherita D.O.P pizza, and the pizza was wonderful! Tasty combination of flavors and the crust had a perfectly chewy texture that I loved. Ambiance is great as well, dimly lit with a comfortable amount of tables inside. Highly recommend!

It's pretty good, for the cost of the additional options prices I would have expected more (eg this pizza was 3 additional toppings so a $28 pizza.....) but the flavors were nice and good crust/dough (Sorry forgot to take a photo before we ate 2 pieces :) Also that's $28 takeout price.... Not dining in.

Wonderful gluten free pizza - on par with Keste! Great bottle of wine as well in the pics.

The place was very busy when we came, we waited 20-30 minutes for a table on a Friday night. Once we were seated the service was quick and attentive. The place has a good amount of outdoor tables and pretty small inside. The food was good. The arancini was delicious, excellent pesto, well-cooled risotto. The pizza with the pork belly was outstanding, the scallions really added a lot. The margherita pizza was just ok, the sauce could have used more flavor. All pizzas are made with sourdough.

While Piccoli, the trattoria up the street from the same owners, is dedicated to pasta, Crosta is wholly focused on the pizza. Their claim to fame is that their sourdough pizza is naturally risen for 72 hours, giving the bread as much flavor as the toppings on each pie. Though you'll find burgers, salads, and sandwiches on their menu as well, I'd stick to their pies, of which you have 13 different kinds to choose from. I like to gauge a pizzeria by their margherita, and theirs was satisfactory, though not mind blowing. I was way more impressed by a white pie called the Umami Explosion, topped with taleggio cheese, fior di latte, smoked mozzarella, roasted mushrooms, sage, and a fried egg. The egg on the pizza doesn't do much for it but its the three cheeses and some unnamed umami seasoning that really give it a depth of flavor. Try it with the chili oil they offer at the restaurant. They have a cocktail list, but I've enjoyed the pies here with red wine. Service is great and their staff is really sweet.

From the appetizer to the dessert.. everything was amazing! We had the prosciutto & burrata, margarita dop, the sausage pizza, and the fall special pizza. We also had the chocolate caramel cake, affogato, and the ricotta pistachio gelato.. 10/10 for everything. We're so full and satisfied! It felt like I was in Italy again. And a special thanks to Arkan (hope I'm spelling it right). He was so nice and polite. We loved talking to him. Crosta felt so cozy and relaxed! We will definitely be back!

LOVED the Tartufata pizza!! Essentially a "sweet" pizza with honey and truffle. Hard to come by, plus reasonably sized and priced. Very much enjoyed the chorizo pizza too! My friend who prefers cheeseburgers enjoyed hers as well. Service was quick, waitresses were nice. Great casual sit down place with no frills (other than the pizza). Didn't feel rushed at all- able to enjoy some time after chatting with friends. Very pleasant experience!

Greetings all, it's been a while but here I am. Let's talk about Emily a quant pizza restaurant…read morethat you could easily walk pass and not know what they sold. Today however it wasn't pizza that brought me here, it was the famous Emmy Burger. To begin with the atmosphere of the restaurant is dim lighting a few tables with a reasonable sized bar in the middle of the room. They also have an open kitchen concept where just past the bar you can see the cooks working. My server Inda was polite and knowledgeable about the menu. My burger was excellent, normally I don't eat my burger with a knife and folk, but in this case with all the cheese and sauce oozing down the sides, not to mention the caramelized onions, it was necessary. (If I were home I wouldn't mind having burger juices running down my arm, but other people were eating in the restaurant also). The tiny pickles which I can't remember the name of were an added treat to the burger. I decided to order mine with the loaded fries. Just imagine the ground burger with all the toppings covering french fries and add melted white cheese. Since I was alone I didn't order a pizza because how would I eat it all, but next time I will try the pizza. I don't mind paying extra for a burger when it's aged beef and the taste is great. I definitely recommend this location. There is a fast food burger restaurant next door to Emily's but I can't imagine there burgers compare. I will try them another time and let you know. That's all for now, see you on my next review.

They say some things age like fine wine, and I believe this restaurant falls in that category. After 55 years, this family oriented fast food shop known for its famous roast beef sandwich and other popular greasy goodness is still standing. I swung by recently for my usuals and glad to report that everything still tasted the same, just slightly more pricey year after year as expected. My regular order has always been the Roast Beef w/ Cheese, which was maybe $4 when I first tasted it over 25 years ago. It is now $9.45 or $.50 less for no cheese. Regardless, the roast beef (medium) is still tender and juicy, piled on top of a soft and pillowy, freshly made bread that's been dunked in a bath of delicious beef gravy. The ooey gooey cheese makes it complete for me. Everything else is solid. Nothing fantastic or worth driving out of your way for. Don't come here looking for the best version of everything on the menu. However, if in the neighborhood, this place is an inexpensive experience that brings you back in time, when the world was less complicated and a night out with family meant a delicious trip to a local restaurant like Roll-N-Roaster. Enjoy it for what it is and you'll have a good time.

We decided 7th Street Burger and it looked good enough for me. Here's where it gets "Sticky (literally)": You probably can't think of a much dirtier place than an airport, subway, public restroom or playground; especially if you going to go to a restaurant where you'll be using your hands to pick up a hamburger, or dipping your French fries in ketchup. So, I arrived first at 7th Street and I asked the cashier where is your restroom where I can tidy up (basically meaning disinfecting my hands). She said we do not have anyplace for that. I thought "What The Hell"!!!!!!! Now, I'm not an O.C.D. guy; but not washing my hands, after touching every rail a subway system has was not going to allow me to eat this lunch with filthy - dirty contaminated hands. I pivoted, walked out and went to a place that had hot water, soap and a hand dryer. Shame On You 7th Street Burger for not having the insight and perception to take steps in good hygiene for your customers! Unforgivable!!!!!

The bun is soft and sweet and the burger has a good amount of sautéed mushrooms. Truffle Parmesan fries were pretty standard, but still very good. Yuzu honey lemonade has bits of citrus at the bottom of the drink and it was refreshing. I saved the chicken bites hours later and it was still pretty crispy after being microwave. Texture was reminiscent of Taiwanese popcorn chicken, nicely seasoned. Overall had a pleasant experience, I definitely want to return and try the rest of their menu.

The taste of their burgers is different from most of the burger places I have tried before. I have also ordered Yuzu Honey Lemonade. I was trying to taste the honey in the lemonade. I guess I was expecting too much. The drink was refreshing. I may try the Matcha Yuzu Lemonade next. I met a gentleman who goes by the name Ten P aka 10pushups on IG.
